Walking alone in the calm of the night, there would be only one person in the world that could ever keep his heart, though even this night that love would never be his to have. There she was, coming closer out of the fog; Ayame spotted him before he knew she was close by.

Quickly waving to him, she never knew what was coming. Before Kouga could react, she was taken by the figure that suddenly came up from behind, dragging her into the abandoned building. Following as well as he could, but unable to gain ground, they were always just out of sight. Climbing the stairs, hearing her screams, still unable to catch them, kouga's desperate charge could not save her. Each step dragged on with more weight each time the drooping electrical cables hooked onto him.

Finally reaching the top, there they were. The figure's stares reached into Kouga, "Only to devour your soul," this whisper dug into Kouga's mind. The figure threw himself and Ayame dropping both of them off the building, wrenching his heart.

Making his way back to the street, he reflected, “the only thing that lets me be at peace...” Standing on a corner, lost and alone, “No one… not again, not ever again can I find another!”

Passing onward for eternity, his mind lost to the thought of her. His every glance to all direction found her just out of sight. In classes at school, she sat smiling from the corner of the table. Her ghastly dead, and yet, beautifully red hair draped over her shoulders, still flirting to him, as if she could still have need for him.

His gaze never left her whitened eyes as the room slowly changed to a padded cell. His mind nearly broken, his heart gnarled with guilt. Kouga struggled to free himself from this torment, his only hope, death. "AYAME!"

Smashing himself against the padding, twisting to stand, Kouga managed to an opening. Passing into an empty hall looking frantically for a way out, he spotted a window. "Freedom!" running with all force, he broke through, shattering glass flowing with him down to the ground. Lying on the rain and blood soaked road, whispering unintelligibly, his vision grew blurred as he stared into the night.

A figure appeared, standing in the misty rain, coming into focus, it was Ayame. She gestured for him to come closer, her whispers faintly reached him. "Come, stand and walk with me to death's garden."
