years later...
blared through out the small room. Kagome groaned, rolled over and turned dow the volume on her alarm clock. The clocks light flashed 9:00 pm. It was time for her to get up. She swong her legs out to the bed and grogally looked around the small batchler apartment. The apartment was sparcely furnished, it had only the bed and a small beaten up table with an old metal chair. There was an old barly serivicable yellow backpack lieing in the corner where she kept all her clothes and any thing else that she deemed inportant. She didn't have much use for possesions, cause she didn't stay in one spot for very long. She might stay in one or two months top before she would move on.
stood up a streached before she went accross the room to the small kitchenette. She boiled some water to make some instant oatmeal and a coffee. It was the same routine that she did every morning, or evening since she was a night person, no matter where she was. She sat down and just listened to the music come from the radio as she ate and waited for it to get dark.
she finished her meal she went to the bathroom to get freshened up. Then she went out to ruffeling though her duffel bag to get dressed. She came up with a pair of tan cargo pants and a black sleevless turtleneck. She then searched though the bag to get the other things she would need for the night. Out of the bag came two deadly looking daggers, which she strapped one to each arm. A gun and holster was placed under her left arm, which was covered up with a brown waist length suade jacket. From under the bed came an old fashioned bow and quiver that were attached to her back. That completed her getting ready. She walked over to the door and put on a pair of black ankle boots and grabbed her bike helmet. She opened the door and left her bare appartment. She was going hunting.
went outside, put on her helmet and hopped on her bike. Its engine started with a roar into the quiet night. She skidded out of the parking lot and headed out of the city. She was headed for a wooded area away from the populous, away from human eyes. Demons were what she was hunting. There was no worries of finding them though for they always come to her. A fact that she had found out not very long after her mothers death. The demons were drawn to her miko powers, so she had to learn at a very young age how to concele them. Kagome knew that she had alot of raw power but she never had any formal training. Everything that she had learned had been from trial and error. Fighting though she was able to get a little formal training, she took many self defence and martial arts corses but never actually completed any cause she was always on the move. She hated haveing to move all the time but it was just something that had to be done. There were some demons that she just was unable to beat, some that were too strong or too experienced for her unexperienced self. Her hope was that one day she would be able to stop running, just stop and rest. It was her dream, a dream that she was unsure would ever come true. In the mean time though she figured that she would kill as many of them as possible.

eyes surveyed the lush forest that spralled out for miles upon end. The landscape before him looked ever so peacefull to the unknowing eye. He had heard rumors of the large amount of unsanctioned demon activites in this area. He was here to investigate and to distroy any who dared to come upon his lands without his premision.
who are foolish enough to come here without premission diserve to die anyway.> He thought to himself as he glided along on a magestic looking cloud. He was wearing the same white clothes and armor that he always wore, old habits die hard and he didn't like how restrictive the new style of clothing was.
he glided along keeping all his sences alert for anything that might be amiss in his forest.

pulled her bike off the highway following an old dirt road into a forest. She had been driving for about and hour to get where she was now. She didn't mind the long drive though, cause she loved the feel of being on her bike, she felt free on it. The large trees loomed above her as she went, and the road started to get rougher, so she had to slow down. She followed this trail for about a half and hour before she finally stopped her bike. Hopping off the bike, she started to walke down the, what now could only be called a path.
a little ways from her bike she dropped the barrior conceling her power, and then streached out her sences looking for demons. Kagome was not disappointed, she felt thier presence, and started to trek in thier direction. After a little while she noticed that they were getting closer faster then she was walking towards them. Kagome grinned to herself and stopped and waited. For it meant that they were comeing to her, they must have senced her presence.
took the bow off her back and readied an arrow.

had been surveying the area for almost two hours now and had yet to find anything that would be worth his time. Yes he had found one or two minor demons, but they were ones he already knew to be in the area, and not anything that he was concerned about.
was then he felt an aura flare. A pure and very strong aura, one he did not recongize. Prehaps this is the disturbance that he had heard about in his territory. He took off it the direction of the aura. He was curious as to what it was coming from, even though he was probably going to distroy what ever it was.
very much time had passed before he knew that he was almost in sight of the aura. He had also sence a fair amount of demons in the area as well. They were of no concsquence though and he knew they would be easily taken care of, he figured that that it was the aura that had also attracked them.
landed on the ground before he came within sight of them. Slowly he walked into the small clearing that they were in. What he saw surprised him but did not show on his cool exterior. There were about twenty or so rat demons and almost just as many of thier bones lieing about. They were all facing towards a girl. A human girl at that. In each her hands was a dagger that glowed faintly and dripped with demon blood. <Ahh. She must be a miko then. It must be her that the aura is coming from. But it is such a strong aura. I have never felt any that strong before, especially in a human.> He thought. She was hurt though, he could smell her blood, the tantalizing scent that it was. He knew she would not last much longer. That is probably why the rat demons have not turned tail and run yet, for they were usually cowardly creatures when being beaten.
would have to find out why this miko's aura was so special, it intrigued him, First though he would have to deal with these rodents first.
closer to the group he lifted his hand, and a golden whip extended from his fingers. He lashed out quickly disposing of the remaining demons.

were too many of them. She was shocked at how many had came to her aura. Kagome took out as many as she could with her purifiing arrows before they got too close. She had to take out her daggers and powered them with purifing energy, but still there were too many of them. She was getting hurt and bad. She was loosing too much blood. Refusing to go down though she would keep fighting. It was not in her nature to give up and was determined to win.
out of nowhere a golden light stream flashed about quickly sliceing through the demons. Killing them quickly and easily. In seconds all the remaining rat demons were dead. Kagome was shocked, to say the least. She was also relieved for she was not sure how she was going to get out of that one, it was a little too much for her to handle. Breathing heavy from tiredness and blood loss she looked around her grinning to see what had saved her.
was then she noticed what had saved her. It was a demon. The smile vanished from her face.
