InuYasha Fan Fiction ❯ Lost Innocence ❯ Early B-day Preasent ( Chapter 1 )

[ T - Teen: Not suitable for readers under 13 ]

"Good morning, Tokyo! It's going to be a beeeutiful day!" A hand could be seen crawling out of the covers, reaching for the alarm clock. That hand belonged to Kagome Higurashi. Once she found the alarm clock, rather than turn it off, she threw it against the wall.

Kagome crawled out of the bed, with her eyes barely opened. She walked into the bathroom and minutes later, you could hear the shower running. About twenty minutes after that, Kagome walked out of the bathroom with a towel wrapped around her body. She headed towards her room and closed and locked the door. She began her regular morning ritual.

First, she slipped on her black, baggy pants. Then, she put on a tight black shirt with the words "Level 27 Clothing" on it. Now it's time to put on make-up. She reaches for her dark blue, glittery eye shadow and applies it to her eye lids. *A/N-Well, where else would she put it? Her mouth?* And then applied her clear lip gloss. She pulled back her long, black hair, revealing three piercings on each ear. She then walked out of her bedroom and down the stairs. She saw her father reading the Daily News and her mother cooking eggs.

Kagome walked over to the fridge, pulled it open, and took out the carton of orange juice and some butter. "I take it you're going to drink the orange juice here and eat your toast on the way to Sango's house," Kagome's mother assumed.

"Yep," Kagome agreed. She then opened up the cabinet, pulled out some bread and put it in the toaster. While her bread was toasting, she poured herself some orange juice and gulped it down. After she drank her orange juice, her toast popped up and she grabbed it and then she reached for her backpack.

"Have a safe walk to school, Kagome!" her father yelled as Kagome walked out of the door.

Kagome was already out of the door and so she didn't hear her father's last comment. She pulled out a pen and a brand new diary that her best friend, Sango, had got her as an early birthday preasent. *A/N-Kagome's birthday is in one week* She began to write:

Dear Diary,

*sigh* This is something I don't normally do; write in a diary... But since this is a birthday preasent from my best friend, I'll write all of my thoughts in here; the good... and the bad. Mostly the bad since lately all I have is bad thoughts. Well, here's my basic information:

Name: Kagome Higurashi

Birthday: April 29

Age: 12, but I'll be 13 in one week

Best friend: Sango

Enemies: Everyone

Favorite food: Oden

Oh, yeah, I almost forgot. My mother is nine months pregnant with a little girl who is to be named Suzuna. That's all I can write otherwise I'll be late for school. Plus I gotta finish eating my toast! Bye.

Kagome slipped her pen and diary back in her backpack and walked to Sango's house. She arrived at Sango's house and knocked. She waited a minute and Sango opened the door. She was wearing ripped, baggy dark blue jeans. And her shirt was blood red and said in big black letters "DO YOU MIND? I'M TRYING TO IGNORE YOU". "Oi, Sango. You ready?" Kagome asked.

"Yep," Sango replied, stepping out of her house. Her and Kagome started on their five-minute walk to school. "So... did you get your b-day preasent I sent?"

"Yeah. It's great. I already started writing in it," Kagome smiled.

"I'm glad you like it. I figured that since there's so much stuff going on you needed a diary."

"Thanks."

"Don't mention it."

Kagome and Sango talked about books, their homes, and high school on their short walk to school. When they arrived, they were greeted by cold stares and crude whispers. One girl named Kikyo, picked up a rock and threw it at Kagome's head. Kagome fell to the ground in agony. Everyone laughed at her pain.Sango helped Kagome up and then Kagome and Sango were up in Kikyo's face in three seconds.
