InuYasha Fan Fiction ❯ Lost Innocence ❯ Where Are You, Dad?? ( Chapter 4 )
"Kagome! Look out!" Inu-Yasha yelled. But it was too late... Koga had already hit Kagome as hard as he could in the arm. Kagome fell to the ground in agony. Inu-Yasha was over there in no time at all. "KAGOME!" He cried out. "Kagome! Are you alright?!"
But all she could manage to say was,"Inu-Yasha....." and closed her eyes.
Miroku was over there, too. Him and Sango were trying to get her to open her eyes as Inu-Yasha stood up, with his back turned to the now snickering Naraku, Hojo, and Koga. "You think this is funny?" He asked in a voice, shaking with rage.
"Yeah, we do. Watcha gonna do about it, dog turd?" Koga said with a grin.
"You don't think that I can take on three jerk-offs at once, d'you?" Inu-Yasha asked, as he turned around to face them.
"No, we don't." Hojo said.
"We'll see about that!" Inu-Yasha yelled as he punched Hojo in the stomache. Hojo flew backwards into the cafeteria tables and was immidiately knocked unconsious.
The whole cafeteria's eyes were now on Inu-Yasha and the rest, waiting to see what would happen next. "You thought I wouldn't take all of you on?! Well, show me what you got!" Inu-Yasha yelled at Naraku and Hojo.
Koga and Naraku exhchanged looks and then smirked at each other. A few seconds after that, they both charged at Inu-Yasha. Inu-Yasha dodged them both. Then, he grabbed Koga by the neck and threw him at Naraku and they both fell down, unconsious.
"Kagome! Are you alright?! Everything will be okay!" Inu-Yasha yelled as he ran over to Kagome. "Inu-Yasha...." was all she managed to say and then blacked out.

I woke up in the hospital, with a cast on my right arm. At first, I didn't remember anything from that day, but then it all came rushing back to me. Koga hitting me in the arm, Inu-Yasha fighting all of them just for me. I blushed at the thought of Inu-Yasha beating up somebody for me.
I looked around the room I laid in and saw my mom, sleeping in a chair. I smiled at seeing her asleep in a chair.'I haven't seen her sleeping like this since I was in kindergarten and I got my tonsils taken out,' I thought as I slowly drifted off to sleep again.

This time I awoke to seeing my mom in the chair that she was sleeping in, reading a magazine.

Mrs. Higurashi slowly put down the boring magazine she was reading to see her daugher, staring her. "Kagome!" she yelled as I ran over and gave her a hug. "I'm so happy that you're okay!"
Kagome smiled and hugged her mother back. "So am I. Well, I woke up about a few hours ago and you were sleeping, so I went to sleep as well."
"Kagome, you should've woken me up!"
"Sorry, I didn't want to wake you. Well, where's dad?" Kagome asked.
Mrs. Higurashi didn't answer for awhile, and then tears started to stream down her face. "What's wrong?" Kagome asked.
"Kagome," Mrs. Higurashi said quietly. "Your father is, is.... dead."
At first, Kagome thought that her mother was just playing a mean joke on her, and that her father would soon come running into the room, yelling "Gotcha!" and then they would all laugh about it. "Ha-ha, very funny. You can come out now dad!" Kagome yelled out the door, in denial.
But the doorway remained empty. "No! You're lying! Dad!" Kagome said desperately, as she jumped out of her hospital bed and ran to the doorway. But she looked both ways. No sign of her dad.
"DAD!" She started to cry as she started to run down the long, hospital corridor, searching for her dad.
"Kagome!" Mrs. Higurashi yelled as she ran to catch up with her daughter. "Kagome come back!"
After searching every corridor on the floor, Kagome fell to the ground, and started crying.
Mrs. Higurashi finally caught up to Kagome. She ran to her and stooped to Kagome's level and started to rock her back and fourth, and sobbed with her daughter.

Poor Kagome! I'm thinking about making the next chapter a few years later, and she's 16 years old! Well, reviewing would sure help me update a little bit faster ::hint::hint:: ^_^ But, I might just keep it the same, and she's only 13...... I'm just trying to decide, and, even though I have homework ::glances at the pile of books on desk:: I will still try to write these chapters faster!
