TA-DA! I'm actually updating AGAIN...? What has gotten into me? XD

Chapter fifteen - Telling Inu-Yasha

Kagome walked to school with Sango, like she had been doing practically every day since the 3rd grade. "Kagome, you look fantastic!" Sango complimented, knowing that her friend's self-esteem was at a low.

"Tee.. thanks, but you don't have to lie for my sake."

Sango sighed. "Alright, whatever, but you do look great... anywho, are you going to tell Inu-Yasha today??"

Kagome smiled. "Yes ma'am. I wonder how his reaction will be..."

"Well, this is going to be hard and stuff y'know. Because me & Miroku are like... caught in the middle of all your fighting and stuff...."

Kagome sighed. "Don't worry, don't worry. I won't make you choose sides. Anywho, I also certainly won't forgive him or get back together... maybe we might become friends again... maybe..."

Sango nodded. "Yeah, yeah, I'm sure... you have a hard time befriending people who have hurt you emotionally."

Kagome giggled. "Yeah, so shoot me!"

"That can be arranged," Sango said back, laughing.

After a few more minutes of talking, they arrived at their high school. They saw Inu-Yasha and Miroku talking laughing, joking around. Kagome then quickly whispered to Sango, "Did you tell Miroku that I am pregnant???"

"No!" she whispered back. "I wouldn't ever betray your trust. I didn't tell a soul.. unless my diary has a soul..."

"Thanks," Kagome replied and they were in front of Miroku & Inu-Yasha.

"Hey, Kagome. Hey, Sango..." Miroku greeted and kissed Sango.

Inu-Yasha and Kagome felt a bit awkward. "Err... hey, Kagome..." Inu-Yasha rubbed the back of his neck nervously.

"Umm... hi, Inu-Yasha... we need to talk..." Kagome replied and took Inu- Yasha's arm, pulling him away from the lip-locked couple.

"Er, okay... what do you need to talk about?" Inu-Yasha asked.

Kagome blushed a bit, thinking about the news that she must tell Inu-Yasha. "Well... remember the night when we... y'know... made love...?"

Red lines of embarassment etched across Inu-Yasha's face. "...Yes..."

"Well... umm... I'm pregnant..." Kagome quickly became beet-red from embarassment, now having told Inu-Yasha.

Inu-Yasha's mouth practically hung open in shock. "Y-You're... pre- pregnant...?"

A faint smile was on Kagome's lips. "Yes, Inu-Yasha..."

"Well..." Inu-Yasha sat down on a bench, taking a deep breath. "This is some news..."

Kagome sat down next to him. "Yeah, I know. But, I"m not pressuring you into anything, you don't have to do anything for me--"

Inu-Yasha cut her off. "No way! I'm gonna be by your side throughout your whole pregnancy."

Kagome blushed. "Well... I think that maybe... we should give the baby up for adoption...?"

"No!" Inu-Yasha said quickly. "No, no. Please don't. I want to be there for you and the baby!"

Kagome looked him in the eyes. "You really mean it?" Her heart melted. God how she loved Inu-Yasha. But she could never forgive him... not after he cheated on her. She could become friends with him again, but never his lover... not again.

He nodded. "Of course..."

"Th-thanks..." Kagome blushed a bit.

"No thanks necessary... Kagome, I'm sorry for hurting you..."

Kagome cut him off. "Well, before I accept your apology, I would like to know exactly why you were... ahem... with Kagura."

Inu-Yasha blushed, knowing that Kagome, sooner or later, would bring up this topic. "Seduction..." he began to tell the story. "I was sitting there, talking wtih Sango and Miroku, when all of a sudden, Kagura comes up and starts to flirt with me. I don't flirt back, so I suppose thsi makes her mad. Since me and her are lab partners and stuff, she said she had to show me something about our newest assignment in chemistry. I stupidly believed her lie, and she led me into the janitor's closet.

Kagome interrupted him. "And then y9ou just happened to have sesx??"

"No, no! It's not like that. Then she started to like... kiss me. I tried to push her off me of me, but to no avail. And then, well... y'know... we..."

She rolled her eyes. "Made love??"

"No!!" came Inu-Yasha's reply. "Only you and I made love. Kagura and myself... had sex..."

"Oh, whatever. Same thing."

Inu-Yasha looked slightly offended. "Are you trying to say the night we made love meant nothing to you??"

Tears welled up in Kagome's eyes. "Yes... it meant and was nothing..."

Inu-Yasha was hurt now. "Does this mean nothing, too?!" He grabbed her shoulders and kissed her. Kagome, in spite of herself, kissed him back. After a few seconds, their lips parted.

Red lines of embarassment etched across both of their faces. "I... I'm sorry..." Inu-Yasha apologized. "I... I didn't mean to..."

The bell for homeroom rang and Kagome looked deep into Inu-Yasha's eyes, heart melting and tears in her eyes as she says, "We can't get back together again, no matter how much I love you... good-bye, Inu-Yasha...."

Tee-hee-hee, what a tragic fanfiction. I've got to go now, I hope you liked chapter 15!
