Love and Skateboarding chapter 1

Inuyasha woke before his alarm and looked at himself in the mirror while the DJ on the radio was speaking

 

“It's a good morning out there today Kyoto, and to all you graduating bulldogs go get `em. HAHA.” Inuyasha shut off the radio before he became irritated. He slipped into Independent shirt and baggy loose blue cargo jeans and his black Etnies with the white `E'. He ran into the living room and grabbed his pack and skateboard before running out the door for his graduation. He set down his skateboard stood on then kicked to gain speed so he could get to school faster. He pushed down on the back of the board and kicked the top left corner making the board flip down a set of ten stairs. He skated down the street towards the local skate shop. Greg the skate shop owner was watching skaters bail on a tape he made. ”What- dude ,ah dude you suck come on dude god.” Greg shouted at the tv in the corner.

 

“Hey, man what's up?” Inuyasha said as he walked up to the counter.

 

“Sliding to the left bro. Why?” Greg said turning to Inuyasha.

 

“Nothing. Just dropped by to check out your decks. Kinda thrashed mine.” Inuyasha said holding up his board to show it broken at the nose. ”Oh, I want you to check out my new `sponsor me' tape.”

 

“Any different from last week's dude.” Greg said sounding annoyed.

 

“Totally different remember that flip trick I always try on the vert, that one flip trick. This close to landing it.” Inuyasha said holding up his fingers an inch away from each other.

“I'll have it in about a week.”

 

“You're wasting your time, dude.”

 

“Thanks.”

 

“Tell ya what if you land it I'll sponsor you.”

 

“Alright.”

 

“Hey little man I talked to you already you reach into there with your hand you're pullin' out a stump. Don't make me come over there and smack you.” Greg yelled to a little kid wearing glasses putting T-shirts into a backpack. Pro skater Bam Margera walked into the skate shop and went up to the front counter.

 

“Dude, what's up.” Greg said drawing Bam into a hug.

 

“Alright man you're creeping me out. Let me get a skateboard.”

 

“Which one you want?”

 

“I don't care they're all the same shape. Let me have my board right there. Let me get all three of those actually.” Bam replied pointing at the three boards with his name on it.

“Hey.”

 

“Hey man what's up?”

 

“Hey do you remember me probably not. We skated scrap a couple of years ago before you went pro.”

 

“Oh yeah you ripped.”

 

“Thanks bro.

 

“Keep your eye on this kid.

 

“Thanks man I appreciate it.

 

“Watch out for this kid's frontside 360. He's got the SS BS TS lurking.” Bam said grabbing the marker from Greg's hand to sign a poster.

 

“It's for the wall.” Greg said innocently.

 

“You coming to the demo later on?” Bam asked turning back to Inuyasha.

 

“Yeah, wouldn't miss it.” Inuyasha said adjusting his backpack.

 

“Cool, cool.”

 

“It's for the wall.” Greg said again.

 

“You don't have to make excuses.” Bam said turning back to Greg, then signed the poster and left.

 

“You know Bam was a loser before he got sponsored. Just like you dude.”

 

“I am gonna make you a deal you throw me one of these decks and in exchange I'll skate it I'll tell everyone where I got it you can sponsor me.”

 

“Ok dude. Which one you want?” Greg said turning towards the decks on the wall.

 

“For real? Haha alright let's go with one of those Elements just like Bam got.” Inuyasha said pointing at the deck.

 

“Dude for you I can go that board $140 tax not included.”

 

“Uh, nevermind.” Inuyasha said before leaving. Inuyasha ran the rest of the way to his school. He ran inside and saw Miroku at his locker.

“Nice hat.” Inuyasha said before hitting it off Miroku's head.

 

“We're late.” Miroku said closing his locker and picking up his hat.

“Just come on.”

Inuyasha and Miroku did their graduation then went home with their certificates.

 

“I still can't believe it Bam just walks in there and Greg tosses him a handful of his decks. I can't wait to get my own deck.”

 

“Well, I did the math and there are like 50 guys who make living skateboarding and a million more just like us.” Miroku said walking to the backyard with Inuyasha.

 

“And?” Inuyasha said waiting for him to say more.

 

“And, nothing but until a sponsor literally backs a tour bus into my drive way I have all summer to pay for school.”

 

“I still can't believe it you're bailing on us.”

 

“Remember Bankotsu listening to you and look where that got him.”

 

“You see Bankotsu deceives you.

 

“I don't think Bankotsu deceives me.

 

“Oh no he does because in actuality he really knows which end is up.”

After Inuyasha said that Bankotsu jumped off the roof with his board and slipped the board under his feet before he landed in the pool. ”HAHAHA!” Bankotsu climbed out of the pool then slapped Miroku and Inuyasha's hands.

 

“Miroku bailing on us again.” Inuyasha said raising his hand towards Miroku.

 

“Ah, really. I'm gonna alert the press Miroku's always bailing.” Bankotsu said sarcastically before jumping back into the pool to get his skateboard.

 

“Hey let's go to Hiten's then let's go to the demo.” Inuyasha said cutting through his house to the front yard.

 

“Come on Bankotsu.” Miroku said running after Inuyasha.

 

“Ok hang on crackhead dang.”

Inuyasha, Miroku, and Bankotsu skated over to Hiten's house. Inuyasha knocked on the door then he heard footsteps coming towards the door.

 

“Yeah?”

 

“Hiten, get out here we're gonna go skate.” Inuyasha yelled to the other side of the door.

 

“Ok let me get my board.” Hiten said walking away from the door then came back after awhile and opened it and walked out closing it behind him.

“Alright, where we are goin?" Hiten asked walking off his porch.

 

“We're gonna skate scrap until the demo.”

 

“Ok, let's go.” Hiten said jumping on his skateboard.
