Chapter 1: The Party

 

It finally hit him, he loves her. It all happened nearly a year ago at the party. He was walking around in deep thought and didn't see her walking straight towards him. Within a split second he found himself lying on the ground next to her, both of them covered in red wine when he realized just what happened. “Ohh gosh, I'm so sorry,” he heard a female voice say as he got up to offer the voice's owner a hand to get up, “I wasn't looking where I was going , I should have been paying more attention, I'm really, really sorry…..” While she was saying this he happened to look up and see her face, he couldn't help but smile and cut her off with, “No, No, No, it was my fault, I was too deep in thought to notice my surroundings so don't worry about it; although, I do feel guilty about spilling wine on your beautiful dress, I could replace it for you if you want,” she smiled at this and said “thank you” so he replied while staring at her “don't mention it,” it was all he could because he was so awestruck by her beauty. This girl was so breathtaking; she had jet black hair that reached just below her shoulders, eyes as blue as the waters of the Caribbean and louchess pink lips which he noticed had no lipstick on them; in fact, this girl had on absolutely no make up and yet her beauty rivaled that of any female that he'd ever seen. Trying to break the odd silence he said “I'm sorry, I didn't catch your name,” he was staring deeply into her eyes when she said, “Oh, It's Kagome, Higurashi Kagome. Ummmm……… may I ask your name?” she was also staring into the amber/gold orbs which were his eyes as she thought `kami, he's so handsome, I wonder if he dyes his hair or if it's naturally that color, and those eyes, he must be wearing color contacts,' then her thought was interrupted by him. “It's a pleasure to meet you Miss Kagome; my name is InuYasha, Takahashi InuYasha,” he said, then as if reading her mind he added, “and just so ya know, this is my natural hair color and no I'm not wearing color contacts.” `Kami, did I just say that out loud or is he just somehow reading my mind, ohh what do I care. But… I can't stop staring at him, he's just so hot, I've never seen any other guy with naturally silver/white hair let alone a guy who let his hair grow long enough to reach his knees. “sigh” His lips look so warm and inviting, and his amber/gold eyes look so beautiful and passionate, and his cute little puppy dog ears look so……….. wait, puppy dog ears, ahh I'll just ask him about those later but for now I just want to touch them' Kagome mused to herself. So, without hesitation and while holding out a hand and looking at his ears she asked, “may I?” At first he didn't know what she meant until he noticed where she was looking, so he said “go ahead,” and with that he lowered his head so she could reach his ears. Eagerly, Kagome reached up and grabbed each ear between her index fingers, middle fingers and thumbs, and started to rub them. She was amazed at how soft his ears were and while she was rubbing them she could have sworn she heard what sounded like purring coming from InuYasha and she just smiled warmly at the pure look of pleasure and contentment on his face when he just leaned his head into her hands even more. InuYasha was so overcome by the pleasure of getting his ears rubbed that he forgot about his surroundings and reached around her to put one hand on the back of her neck and the other hand on the small of her back and pull her lips to his in a very tender kiss. When Kagome realized what he was doing she stopped rubbing his ears only to get what sounded like a whimper from him until she put her arms around him and pulled him tighter to deepen the kiss. After what seemed like an eternity, they both reluctantly pulled away to breath only to notice the bright blush on each others faces. After he caught his breath InuYasha said, “I'm sorry about that, It's just…. your lips, they looked so inviting and you were giving me pleasure rubbing my ears that I just didn't think about what I was doing, I'm such a *baka……..” Kagome just smiled and cut him off with, “Don't worry, I actually liked the kiss, thank you……. Well I have to go now, maybe I'll see you soon….. oh, here let me give you my cell number,” She then got a napkin and wrote her cell number down on it and handed it to him while he handed her a napkin with two phone numbers written on it, apparently he wrote his numbers down when she wrote her number down. After they exchanged napkins InuYasha said, “Thanks, I'll put this in a safe place so maybe we could go out some time……… oh, and before I forget, the first number I wrote down is for my cell and the second number is for my home office. I usually always have my cell on and with me except when I'm at home, so if I don't answer my cell just call my home, kay.?” “Okay, I'll call you and tell you when I'm free so we can set a date….. It was really nice to meet you, I guess I'll talk to you later then, bye,” “bye” and with that they exchanged one last friendly hug before going their separate ways.
