"Come on you filthy humans… If we ever want to catch Sesshy then we have to move a little faster!!!" Inu yelled at his companions as they lagged behind for the third time that day.

"Take it easy on us Inu-Yasha… We have no demon blood running through our veins that allows us to catch up with super fast evil inu demons. Can we at least take a break?" Miroku, the ever brave one, asked their rushing companion.

"Please, Inu, do it for Kagome… She'd want us all rested up and ready to fight the battle that is sure to come… and if we're to beat Sesshy then we need to save all the energy that we can… Please I know that you must be hungry too. I'll make you some ramen, like Kagome usually does…" Sango pleaded with him. And even though Inu wouldn't admit it, he was beginning to get a bit tired as well, but he knew that if he broke down the group would have nothing left to fight for. So he gave into the demands of the humans he traveled with.

"Okay, let's stop here… but only for tonight… no weeks of staying in the same place…"

********************With Sesshy*************************

"Why'd you save me Sesshy? I thought that you of all people would be the first to kill a human for just crossing your path and you turn around and save me from falling….Why'd you do it?" Kagome asked the inu lord as they flew closer to his holding in the western lands. With those words, Sesshy began to think. Was he really that cruel to others? Would he really hurt someone for walking in front of him? As he was lost in his thoughts, Kagome began to worry for her life, and she knew that he could smell her fear. The smell of her fear made him ask himself what he had done to give this miko reason to fear him. Not that he didn't want them to be afraid, but every once in a while he longed for some company other then Rin and Jaken.

"Do not fear this Sesshy, human. For I, Sesshy, will not kill you a lowly miko." He was truly amazed that this human wench could stand up and question him one second and the next act as if he was about to chop her head off of her shoulders. But the fear that he instilled in her was nice.

"Thank you Sesshy, once again…"

"I'll save you Mommy!!!," Shippou, Kagome's always brave pup, yelled as he attacked a now landing Sesshy…

"Shippou… Its okay Sesshy is just helping us get away from that baka Inu. Okay???" Kagome quickly intercepted her pup as he flew through the air (with the greatest of ease the daring young man on the flying trapeze…lol…sorry) before he angered Sesshy too much. Then, when Sesshy didn't comment on how stupid his half-brother was, she began to once again fear for both her and her pup's lives.

"Sesshy, why did you take me…" Shippou began only to be cut off by Kagome's palm and her amazingly quick reflexes.

"I'm so sorry, Sesshy. He didn't mean to imply that you were kidnapping us or anything like that; it's just that he's scared because you've always tried to kill us instead of saving our lives. And it's not that he doesn't appreciate you saving us… I'm sure he does but you are a…" Kagome began only to suddenly stop. "If you want to drop us now, I'll understand…"

"Human wench why would I, Sesshomaru, want to drop you or your pup to the ground?" Sesshy asked her.
