Love Can't See Us Apart In Death

 

 

It had been three long years since he had gone. It had been three longs years when she cried every night. It had been three long years when that blow came. And now she was safe back to a place she didn't want to call home. But she wouldn't cry now, not tonight. She could still see his shadow. And she still didn't or couldn't believe that he was gone. Maybe physically, but not spiritually.

 

Give me a reason to believe that you're gone

I see your shadow so I know they're all wrong

 

She got up in the night, walked to her kitchen and picked up a knife. Then walked to moonlight path that led her to a tree. The wind in her face which made her hair fly felt so good. The soft brown earth under her feet felt even better. But she didn't want to feel anymore. She stopped at a tree she only knew well.

It leads me to where you lay

She laid the knife on the ground as she sat leaning herself on the tree. Listening to all that she could, listening to his voice which said “Come to me my love.”

 

They took you away from me but now I'm taking you home
I will stay forever here with you

The softly spoken words you gave me
Even in death our love goes on

She knew one could not exist without the other. People thought she was crazy, but she thought she was in love. She thought they were crazy because they couldn't hear him.

 

Some say I'm crazy for my love, Oh my love
But no bonds can hold me from your side, Oh my love
They don't know you can't leave me
They don't hear you singing to me

Then she slowly stabbed herself in the heart and whispered her last “I'm coming to you dearest, I'm coming to take you home, Inuyasha.”
