Chapter 3
Upon hearing this inuyasha turned to the person who said his name. He wondered who
these people were and why these girls all had a scent similar to kagome’s. He then replied “I ‘m
inuyasha and who the hell are you? How do you know kagome?” The girls then then replied
“we are kagome’s cousins and the one with the bow and arrow is her older sister Rika.”
Inuyasha was stunned by the fact that kagome had kept something so important from
him. They had been friends for over 2 years. He felt hurt about this, but knew that she probably
had her reasons. Marin seeing the hurt in inuyasha’s eyes then said “Inuyasha , it wasn’t that
kagome wanted to keep our existence from you, but she was not allowed to tell you.”
Inuyasha then replied “why was she not allowed to tell me about you?” Marin then said “ sit
down, everyone and I will explain everything!” Everyone sit down to hear marin’s story.
It all began with the reason for her not being able to tell inuyasha and the others about
her sister and cousins. Marin said “the reason kagome had to keep us secret up until now was
so that we may finish our training in peace without interruption.” Inuyasha asked her what they
were training for and for so long. She then replied “ we were off training our miko powers,
archery and spells of protecting and many other ward of use.”
Inuyasha in a shocked voice then said “you are all miko? but what was you purpose of
training?” She replied “ It was so we would be able to do our duty of protecting the supreme
priestess and the shikon no tama from harm and evil.” Inyasha was more baffled than before
with this news. It took him a few moments to recover from this news. He then asked “ who is
the supreme priestess and when do I meet her. What can I do to help?” Marin just laughed and
replied “Inuyasha you have already met the supreme priestess and are very well acquainted with
her, I might add.” Inuyasha was so stunned he was speechless at all that was revealed thus far.
Then inuyasha said you don’t mean to tell me that the supreme priestess is kagome.” They all
replied, “they are one and the same and we are all given the duty to protect her. What I ask you
next is will you help us in our quest to protect her?” Inyasha then said “I will always protect
kagome and so will the others., but you have still yet to tell me why we were left in the dark
about you!” Rika then replied “ so that the evil force in your ear would not know we existed and
try to stop us from training.”
Inuyasha’s gaze then was averted to the group of guys that accompanied the girls. He
wondered who they were and why he sensed a powerful aura coming from them. Kai seeing
the strange look upon inuyahsa’s face then said “ I guess it is my turn to explain who we are to
you , We are the protectors and boyfriends of the other priestesses and were are also full
blooded demons, that would explain the powerful auras you are detecting from us.” Inuyasha
was stunned that this guy was able to read him so well and by what he was just told. He then
remembered why he had come to kagome’s time.
He then said “ I just remembered something the reason I had come here was to get kagome.”
The others were shocked, because they were all under the impression that kagome had already
left for the feudal era.Marin then said “ that is impossible, because she already left for your time.
She was going to tell you about us and tell you that we were going to join you in your quest to
reunite the jewel shards and protect it.” Inuyasha just looked at her and thought something is
not right about this, if she already left then why haven’t I seen her. He then told everyone to
follow him into the well, because something was wrong.
Upon returning to the feudal era they were met by shippo,miroku,sango, and kilala.
Inuyasha then looked around the well for signs of kagome’s whereabouts, not finding one he got
a bad feeling that kagome was attacked by a demon and dragged off. Miroku then seeing
inuyasha’s new companions asked who they were and why they were there. The group then
introduced themselves one by one.”I’m Marin” said the girl with the long black ponytail with the
blue and whit shirt and blue tight fitted pants. I’m Teri” said the girl in the light blue tight fitted
pants and white shirt. “I’m Angel “ said the girl in the tight fitted blue shorts and yellow shirt.
“I’m Leona” said last girl in black tight fitted shorts and a white shirt. Finally, Rika spoke up and
said “ I’m rika and I am kagome’s older sister and the other girls are our cousins.The guys with
us are Kai, Syo,Roy, Skye, and Falcon.” Sango being a demon exterminator was then on
guard when sensed a demon aura around the boys. She then replied “Who are you guys really?”
as she looked at the boys. “We are demons ,if that is what you mean” replied kai “and also
guardians of the five priestess” was kai’s response. Rika replied” we don’t have time for this , if
i’m right my sister is missing and she didn’t go willingly.”
Meanwhile to kagome and her kidnapper
Kagome is still knocked out from the blow to the back of the neck by hae captor. Her
captor was very fast in his getaway, because his master would not tolerate failure. He
remembered the punisshment he recieved for a past failure and didn’t want to experience it
again. He then reached his destination and called out “I’m back Master Naraku and i have the
girl.” A thick cloud of miasma then appeared and lifted revealing Naraku. Naraku then said “
Good job Lloyd that will be all for now.” Before leave Lloyd asked “ Master, may i ask one
thing, what is so important about that human that you wanted me to capture her?” Naraku
replied, “ Did you not feel the power of a priestess in this girl and i have plans for my precious
priestess, now go and leave me.”
