Warning: Slight Spoiler if you haven't seen the Inuyasha movie, "Castle Through the Looking Glass", just a tiny one. Also, quite noticeable amount of crude language(though this warning is in the 1st Chapter)
Inuyasha grins as his pack files into the large room, his Tetsusaiga was fastened at his side, a sword Sesshoumaru had given him strapped next to it. "You can loose Tetsusaiga too easily, you need something to fight with in that situation, so that you can retrieve it". Miroku was already with him, his staff in hand. He had politely turned down Sesshoumaru's offer of better garbs to fight in, and was wearing his usual robes. As she entered the room, Sango was already dressed in her Taijiya outfit, having chosen to leave her kimono out of harms way, Kirara walked at her side. Kagome tailed not far behind, her hair in a high bun. She was dressed in the garbs Sesshoumaru had ordered tailored for her, he deemed her school uniform unfit for such a battle. "We do not need the girl distracted by such things as her under-things showing, nor do I need my warriors distracted by it" Inuyasha sniggers inwardly, Sesshoumaru's eye had twitched when he said that. The outfit took care of his worries though, and consisted of a simple pair of blue hakama* and a short sleeved white haori. His eyes again go to the door as Shippo and Yuji enter, the older fox looked as he normally did, with the addition of a large broadsword strapped to his back. Shippo was no different, but had a few more toys stuffed into his many pockets, and a few more tricks up his sleeves.
"You're all here then" Sesshoumaru addresses the group "and prepared I hope?" the group gives their own affirmations; Rin, Jakken-- much to his disappointment, and Au-Un would remain at the estate. Arrangements had been made for if they did not win the battle. "We will join my warriors then, through here." As they head over, Sesshoumaru falls back from the lead to speak something into his brother's ear. Inuyasha's eyes widen for a second in surprise, before narrowing a bit. He nods and Sesshoumaru takes the lead again.

Miroku clasps his hands in a prayer position, as the group watches the brothers from behind the barrier. The two stood back to back, their hands resting on their choice of swords at their waist, Inuyasha gripping Tetsusaiga and Sesshoumaru Tokijin. They were the front line, just the two, and they were also the bait . . . they would draw Naraku out. It concerned him more than a bit, but he pushed the feeling back knowing it would distract Inuyasha unnecessarily. With a sigh he glances back, they would be revealed when Naraku's army was in sight, they were many-- and arranged just so. The warriors formed an almost complete ring around Kagome, Shippo, Yuji and the five warrior that were their guards. Three of those guards, were wolves from the East. They had discovered not long before coming to this location that the Eastern army would be aiding them. The Eastern lord, and Kouga's father, was a powerful ally of the West. Aside from that, Kouga deserved a place in the battle to avenge his comrades. So as it was, he himself as well as Sango were backed up by two of Sesshoumaru's warriors and two of the East's. Kouga, three more warriors and Sesshoumaru's own General, a female bat youkai were between Sango's group and his own. It was his and their job to make sure Inuyasha and Sesshoumaru could get close to Naraku himself. The three groups acted as the 'second string' and completed the ring that Kagome and the others would exit when the battle actually started. That was after they knew what direction the evil hanyou was coming from. Kagome's group would stay to the side until she could get a good shot in. But nothing could happen until the Naraku showed his face.
'Dear Buddha, Kami*, I do not know if I am still in your favor . . . but I ask you--'

Lowering his stance slightly Sesshoumaru scans the clearing
"He's here, it's his miasma"
Inuyasha watches as the forest around him begins to weep and die, the natural sounds quieting as everything turns a sickly brown
"I can smell it, but not which side he's coming from, it's all around us"
"Keep your senses open" Inuyasha nods, his grip tightening on Tetsusaiga
"And what do we have here?" the voice comes before he is in sight "the two brother-- working together!" heads turn in the direction of the evil hanyou as he steps out of the now lifeless forest across from them "this is going to be great fun" Kagura and Kanna step out a pace behind, flanking him on both sides, Kanna at his right and Kagura at his left.
"You think so?" Inuyasha retorts, the two inu youkai don't chance giving up their position just yet "fun for us maybe, but not for you" Inuyasha's cocky grin is in place
"is that so?" a threatening smirk plays on Naraku's lips "I'll do to you the same I did to the pathetic wolf prince, only you won't be left alive" no doubt said wolf prince was glowering at the evil hanyou from behind the barrier.
"enough talk" Sesshoumaru draws Tokijin pointing it in Naraku's direction "we know what we're here for, and you are wasting my time" Inuyasha follows his example drawing Tetsusaiga
"oh my apologies, Lord Sesshoumaru, I do know how valuable your time is" he bows mockingly "let's get this over with then!" Naraku throws his hand into the air
"Let's go!" Inuyasha shouts and the brothers both start towards him as hundreds-- perhaps thousands of youkai begin to fill the air and surrounding forest, rushing forward towards them as they try to gain as much ground on the hanyou a possible. They don't make it a full stride past halfway before Kagura sends forth an attack right in their path.
"Dance of Blades!" The barrier behind them drops and the second string rushes forward.
Inuyasha grins as Sango and the warriors flanking her step in front of him and begin clearing a path, he rushes around them sending an attack into the sky towards the youkai raining down
"Wound of The Wind!"* the youkai are almost instantly replaced by more.
Sesshoumaru disects a large sepant-like youkai rushing him from his left side 'he'll run out, none too soon' "There are insects!" he warns, waiting for the monk to close his void, Sesshoumaru moves as far as he can towards the false hanyou once again, cutting down the youkai in his path with his energy whip, having sheathed Tokijin for later.
"Don't fail me boys!" a woman's voice yells, and Kouga dashes forward a pace behind the General, two of his wolves flanking him, one of her warriors behind them.
"Now, Kouga-sama, is the time to prove yourself!" The female youkai takes a thick loop of chains off of her waist twirling the dagerously curved scythe on the end. He draws his sword.
"I won't disappoint!"
"I hope not!" as soon as they hit resistance she sends the weapon forward hooking a large youkai "ah!, it's like fishing!" she pulls it back towards her and into the air before bringing it back down and clearing a clean arc in front of them
Kouga raises his sword slicing a charging youkai in half, a smirk on his face as he kicks one back into the group causing a domino effect 'ha, she's having fun!'
"Here! Kneel!" Kagome follows the order, kneeling behind a large boulder as she, Shippo and his sensei are pulled from the protection of the 'herd formation' and placed to the side. She notches an arrow keeping the string slack, glancing back to see Yuji direct Shippo closer to her as he completes the new ring of warriors around her. The second in command under Sesshoumaru's general faced Naraku, directly in front of her. She aims, loosing the arrow as a group of Naraku's youkai wander too close. She was glad she'd brought so many.

Some time later . . .
Inuyasha takes a much needed breath.
"Idiot" a scratchy laugh escapes his throat at his brother's exasperated comment, he had been right, Tetsusaiga had been knocked from his hand for a second and a serpent youkai had wrapped itself around his neck with every intention to end his life before Sango had cut it off
"oh, shut-up, I'm alive" His eyes scan over Naraku, a few youkai hovered around his form, his face fixed in a permanent scowl. Kanna had been rendered useless when one of the youkai flanking Miroku, a youkai with powers of telepathy, 'convinced' her to break her own mirror. Naraku had re-absorbed her after that, as well as Kagura who had turned against him in a last ditch effort to gain her freedom. It was a great advantage to them, and a sad fate for the two.
"Not for long" Naraku hefts his pelt off of his shoulders "you won't be alive for much longer now"
"Yeh, I really believe that!" Inuyasha smirks "this coming from the guy with only a few lower class youkai on his side, you're finished!"
"Still cocky as ever! Too bad my 'lower class youkai didn't crush your voice box when it had the chance, one less headache" In one sweep of his hand the hanyou rids himself of his haori and happi* "I won't loose" he pulls out the almost complete Shikon no Tama "not with this!"
As soon as the brothers move forward to take the jewel, the remaining youkai are sent forth
"shit shit shit! Get rid of them!" Inuyasha yells back to the ones behind him, blocking one with his sword "little bastard!"
"Pride always comes before fall Inuyasha! didn't your whore of a mother teach you anything!?"
"what is this!?" Sesshoumaru demands as Naraku is again revealed, spiny legs bursting from his back to settle on the ground. They can only look upward as the humanoid form is replaced by one of a colossal spider, the spider-shaped scar bright red on it's tan back like the mark of a black widow*
"how is this possible! He's a hanyou!" a voice comes from behind them, a warrior with his right arm hanging limp at his side, looking worst for ware. All of them did, and more than half of the warriors had been dragged off of the field either dead or injured.
"Fools! I have never been a normal hanyou! I am great! Expect no less of my power!"
"Move!" Inuyasha barley gets out of the way before one of the legs crashes into the ground where he was standing.
"Inuyasha! The jewel it's in the center of his back! The spider-shaped scar"
"Kagome!?" Inuyasha looks back, seeing the girl and the second in command to Sesshoumaru's general running in their direction. A scream causing him to look back, just in time to see one of the warriors snapped in half by one of the heavy legs.
"General, Your chain!" Sesshoumaru yells to the youkai, who nods grimly, drawing Tokijin "Inuyasha, we need to take off the front legs, give the miko a clean shot!" Inuyasha nods, ears ringing at the sheer volume of the spiders enraged cry as the female youkai entangles two of it's front legs in it's chain, she barely escapes a spray of web that melts the ground under it like acid
"now, do it now!" she yells for them
"go right!" Sesshoumaru directs, as he goes left
"Kagome, get ready!" Inuyasha moves to follow the order, tighteneing his grip on Tetsusaiga.
"Your quiver is empty how will you shoot!?" Kagome ignores the youkai at her side
"I have it, don't worry" She pulls the string taunt aiming it at the hanyou as he falls forward 'please work, hit him!' the string of the bow suddenly glows in a lavender lighmt an arrow of energy forming as Naraku hits the ground "This is for my friends!" She lets the arrow go.
"shit!" Inuyasha and Sesshoumaru jump back as a bright light blinds them for a second, the ground shakes as a ragged cry pierces the air, causing several youkai to cover or flatter their ears
"Now, Inuyasha, use the Tetsusaiga! Do it!" Sesshoumaru readies himself to attack again
"right" he braces himself "Wound of The Wind!" and lets loose the attack, an attack from Sesshoumaru's Tokijin running together with it. A second cry pierces the air and the light starts to implode in on itself suddenly
"Look!"
Hakama - (gah!) just think Kenshin's pants[Rurouni Kenshin/Samurai X]
Kami - Miroku is in fact addressing all the kami(gods), however there are no changes in words in the Japanese language, like 's' in English, to indicate a word is plural. You simply have to look at context.
Wound of . . . - On English dubs it's "Wind Scar!" but the actual translation of 'Kaze no Kizu' is "wound of [the]wind"
Happi - a coat worn over kimono, a kimono coat(same thing).
Spider!Naraku - In the Inuyasha movie,"Castle Through the Looking Glass", Naraku takes this form.
