Chapter 3:Dr. Obayashi

 

 

 

They were so caught up in the moment. They didn't realize Mrs. Higarashi had woken.

 

"You were so angry at yourself for spilling it. I remember you spent all night trying to get the stain out." Mrs. Higarashi said.

 

Bring attention to her.

 

She smiled sadly. "I also remember when you finally did get the stain out. Your were so happy. You told everyone. And even thought we didn't think it a big deal...you believed it was." She sighed. "Oh Baby. Oh my beautiful baby." She started to cry. Sango let Kagome go to her mom, and they hugged.

 

Hugged like they were each other's lifeline.

 

And in away...

 

...They were.

 

 

 

Dr. Obayashi waited patiently for his cigarette break. He's last one felt like a year ago. And now he just felt like lighting up and inhaling the deadly fumes.

 

Today was certainly no day to start quitting.

 

So far he's had two patients die, one slip into a coma, and another disappear.

 

Yes…disappear. How? Don't ask him. He was just as confused as the nurses where.

 

And now he had to deal with the fact that another patient just woke up out of a coma. Not his patient thank god, but a patient none-the-less.

 

She was a pretty girl. Long black hair, big brown eyes, and a perfect figure.

 

If she were walking down the street no one would have guessed she spent 5 years of her life in a coma. A coma in which no one expected her to wake from.

 

But Dr. Obayashi was also in charge of the recovery unit. In which those who have been threw an ordeal talk about what there going threw. And the group offers help so the others could deal with what they went threw, and what would go threw in the future.

 

Dr. Obayashi new that he would be seeing the girl soon. And hopefully he could help. He was nervous however to the fact that, he's never helped any one who's been threw this before; sure he's had patients who have been in comas. But only for weeks, months. But Years? 5 years? No. This patient might be harder to get threw to. Especially to the fact that, even though she looked like a 17 year old…she was still 12 year's old in her mind.

 

He just hoped he had the answers she was looking for.

 

If not the answers…at least the comfort.

 

“Dr. Obayashi?” He turned and was greeted with one of the head nurses. “Yes?”

 

“We found Mr. Yamamoto.” Dr. Obayashi smiled, “And where was he exactly?”

 

The head nurse frowned. “Poor bastard thought he would be smart and pose as a Dr.”

 

Dr. Obayashi laughed. “Ill be there soon.”

 

The head nurse nodded, but then was called back. Dr. Obayashi smiled nervously. “You wouldn't happen to have a cigarette on you would you?”

 

 

The group sat silently in Kagome's room. No one knowing what to say, until Kagome cracked a smile.

 

“Didn't ever think I would spend my joys of having a period here.”

 

Miroku and Inuyasha looked grossed out and confused, while Sango just looked confused. But Mrs. Higarashi cracked a smile then started to giggle. Which turned into a full-blown laugh.

 

 

Kagome chuckled, then looked at the group. “Ill explain later.”

 

They just nodded.

 

The Kagome stood and held her hand out to Inuyasha. “We haven't properly met yet. My names Kagome. Higarashi Kagome.”

 

Inuyasha smiled and stood up to, taking her hand in his. “Inuyasha.”

 

The group smiled at the scene.

 

Then Miroku stood. “I really missed you Kag's.”

 

Sango stood too. “WE really missed you. There wasn't a moment that went by that we didn't think about you.”

 

Kagome smirked. “Even during you and Miroku's make out sessions. AWWW, im touched!”

 

Sango's jaw went slack and with Miroku's, while Inuyasha cracked up.

 

He had a feeling he would like this girl…

 

…A lot.
