Chapter 4
“It isn't right to take someone who has recently been de flowered.”
Why did Bankotsu all the sudden regret for what he had done? Was he really that sorry or did he just have some kind of lust for Saku? Saku didn't know which to believe, either way. It was too complicated to know which is true and which isn't. Bankotsu on the other hand knew very well how confused Saku was and he understood since he knew what it was like to be confused by love and lust. He watched her back away from him a little freaked out by the way he was acting all the sudden. It wasn't that Saku was unthankful that Bankotsu had saved her from that bear; it was just that she felt a little awkward that he would save her all the sudden. “What's your name?” Bankotsu called out.
“My name is Saku. I'll just be heading off; I guess I'll be seeing you around?” Saku quickly got up and started to walk away without any hesitation. She knew where she was going to, and it wasn't her ruined home village. After about four hours she finally reached some place where she could stay for a while. The village wasn't very big at all; it was just like any other typical village that Saku had been to. There was something about it that seemed rather interesting to Saku that caught her attention but she just couldn't identify what it was. This didn't bother her too much though; she just was here to rest up for probably a few months and than move on. It was an idea that she had for quite a while if she wanted to live on by herself safely.
Meanwhile Sesshomaru had been trying to convince InuKimi that Saku wasn't a suitable companion for him because she didn't love him in such a matter required for marriage. “So Sesshomaru, you've decided that you don't want that beautiful mortal as yours for always?” InuKimi asked in a rather unconcerned tone. “Yes mother, I have decided that she has a right to choose whomever she wants.” Sesshomaru replied trying to sound as convincing as possible. “Well Sesshomaru I'll make a deal with you. If she ends up being abused constantly by her so called “new mate” and she can't stand him anymore; than you bring her back here, virgin or not.” InuKimi as usual sounded more convincing than Sesshomaru did during conversations like this. “But the only change in her would be her scent if she was de flowered.” Sesshomaru finally realized that statement was right; she would have some else's scent on her due to losing her innocents. As much as he wanted her at first and now he doesn't, something inside him told him that would be wrong to have her after being de flowered by someone else. “Mother it isn't right to just take someone who recently has been de flowered.” Sesshomaru said.
InuKimi started to laugh. “My son, she is still a flower, you don't need to worry about that for now. Just wait until something happens, like that Bankotsu guy that you mentioned, taking her.” Sesshomaru's thoughts started to kick in. `Bankotsu and her? That's nearly impossible since she hated his guts for after what he had done. I don't want her to get hurt but I do want her to move on to someone else.' Sesshomaru walked out of the palace and started going deep into thought. What he wanted was to go find some space for a while.
`Ah so Saku is her name eh? She's got a pretty name for a pretty girl.' Bankotsu thought to himself as he felt pressure again. He didn't love her, he had lust for her. Although he did care if something were to happen to her. What if someone else takes her innocents away? Bankotsu gasped at the thought and slammed his forehead against a tree yelling “STUPID! STUPID! STUPID!” Renkotsu saw this and asked “Big brother, why are you banging your head against a tree and yelling “stupid” over and over again?” Bankotsu stopped; he had just noticed Renkotsu standing there looking at him awkwardly. “Um I'm stupid that's why.”
Bankotsu replied and than resumed back to what he was doing before. Of course this hurt for him but he didn't care, he wanted to get that thought out of his head and so he has more courage to catch Saku as his own. Of course it was very awkward of him to do so but he didn't care, he wanted to get over his fear and go straight up to Saku and claims her.
Bankotsu than realized that he does have a chance, well of course if Sesshomaru might be in the way but still, he'd have a chance to catch Saku right? The thought of cuddling her made him extremely hard but at the same time a little more alert whenever anyone was watching. Suikotsu was watching him awkwardly and wondering what the hell Bankotsu was doing. “Suikotsu go away.” Bankotsu muttered under his breath. It was awkward how Bankotsu was acting all the sudden, he usually wasn't like this but for some reason he was now. Of course, Suikotsu didn't bother asking; he just walked away and pretended that he didn't see what he had just seen.
“Stupid Suikotsu, always sneaking up on me like that, someday I'll show him what happens when people sneak up on me.” Bankotsu grumbled under his breath just as he lost pressure in himself. He finally went off in search of Saku so he can catch her as his own. It wasn't that Bankotsu was trying to get a girlfriend for himself to show off to his friends, in fact he didn't want them to see one little glimpse of her. Bankotsu was strangely running his way to the nearest village he might be able to find, which he knew where that was.
The moon sparkled in Saku's face as she had fallen asleep in her new home, it wasn't fancy at all but it was good enough to satisfy a room of five people or more. She didn't care about where she was living, just as long as she had a home than it was fine with her. She couldn't care less if she was living in a shack; just as long as she had a home than it was fine.
