Chapter 6 meeting with Onigumo Naraku and kagome's confession

 

 

Kagome entered the deserted shrine and sighed.

`I'm in this maze by my self, let's get lost.' She threw her back pack in the corner to the side of the door and took off her shoes. She didn't notice the second pair of shoes next to hers.

“Kerieu! I couldn't get in school so I'm home today! Kerieu are you there?!” she yelled. She sighed and went to the kitchen and fixed a sandwich. While eating she heard some people talking towards the back of the house.

`He must have on of those in home meetings.' Once finished she cleaned her mess and went to her room. On the way she saw a dark figure coming her way; at first she thought it was Kerieu but she noticed his structure was different. He stopped in front of her room and slammed the wall.

“Damn! I will stop that corporation!” he jerked his head towards kagome and smiled. She stopped. He had long curly black hair and red eyes.

`What a scary looking man.' He smiled.

“Nice to see you again Kagome. Though I'm sure you don't remember me, you were but a child.”

“Who are you?”

“So sorry for not properly introducing myself to you, I'm Onigumo Naraku.”

“Kagome Higurashi, nice…to meet you.”

`He's familiar in a way.'

“You said you knew me as a child tell me did you also know my parents?”

“But of course child.” He smirked. His eyes never left kagome's

“I think it's time you should know the face of you're parent's killer.” Kagome stood shocked.

“Kagome the one that slaughtered you're parents was I.” her world crashed.

“What?”

“That's right; I was the one that killed them. They didn't want to hand over the blue prints for the trio to me so I took it.”

“But you didn't have to kill them!” she raised her voice.

“Watch you're tone with me girl!” his aura turned black and his eyes grew brighter with excitement. She backed to the wall.

“Do not forget that I am a demon, I will not hesitate to kill you if you disrespect me again.”

“Well I'm sorry Mr. high and mighty but this isn't you're house to tell me what to do, and I really don't care that you did kill my parents I knew a long time ago that you did it because I asked Kerieu to tell me the truth. I just wanted to see if you really were the killer and now I know you're face.”

He gritted his teeth.

“Brazen child!” he forced her to the wall and grabbed her arms and jerked her.

“Let me also tell you that before I killed you're mother I forced her on the floor and had my way with her as you're pathetic father watched. When I was done I killed her in front of him. Then I killed him slowly and painfully.” Her eyes grew wider.

“I love the site of a woman in fear, especially nigen women…” he licked her ear. She screamed. He threw her to the ground and smirked.

“You won't be so easy to break, you have great spiritual powers that lie dormant in your body, once you've released them come to me.” He disappeared. Kerieu came running from the back. He found kagome on her side on the floor getting up and a very distant Naraku walking off in the distance of the hallway.

“Are you ok?”

“Yea I'm fine, why do you negotiate with him?”

“Because he has the blue prints for the trio and if we don't get them back he might put them towards development.”

“I see.” She got up and dusted her skirt off.

“Sorry I couldn't come sooner, he masked his sent from me.” He sensed the fear in the hall way.

“What did he say to you?”

“He tried to scare me with the I killed you're parents move, it's nothing.”

“Kagome you're fear is in the air, what else did he say?”

She hesitated for a minute.

“He said that he forced my mother down and had his way the killed her in front of father then killed father.”

“Kagome…”

“It's ok really; it's a thing of the past now so forget it.” she entered her room and closed the door silently.

`But there is more you neglected to tell me.'

Kagome flopped on her bed and closed her eyes

“Since it's still early I'll just nap till Inuyasha and Sesshomaru come home.” She exhaled then sighed as sleep took over her.

 

 

Tashio Manor 5:00 p.m.

 

 

She slowly opened her eyes to a pair of golden ones staring back at her. The crescent moon on his forehead and a slightly worried expression through serious eyes told her it was Sesshomaru. She got up and yarned.

“Kagome are you feeling ok?”

“Yes I'm fine I just decided to take a nap, that's all.”

“It's five.”

“What?!” she shot up.

“Oh no!!! Did Sango stop by? Where's Inuyasha?”

“It's ok Sango did stop by and dropped off some paper works for you're club. Inuyasha is with father discussing the Trio so I am here with you; I decided to let you sleep since you looked so peaceful.”

“Oh I see, I need to start on the papers.”

“No you don't, come with me.” He grabbed her wrist and pulled her from the bed. She followed him downstairs.

“You will not tend to those papers today, instead you will help me is that clear?”

“Yes, it's fine.”

 

Tashio manor 7:00 p.m.

 

“Kagome pass those over here.” She grabbed two planks of wood and threw them over to him. He nailed them to place.

“Say Sesshomaru…I was just wondering if …never mind.” He looked over to her and sighed.

`She's uneasy around me…why?'

A crash was heard.

“Ow!” Sesshomaru walked over to her.

“What happened?”

“Nothing just a little cut.” The sent of her blood hit his nose.

`Why am I angered at this? She said it was nothing.'

His instincts took over.

“Give me you're finger.” He placed her index finger in his mouth. She blushed.

`His lips are so soft…who knew he had a soft side but he's never done this before, I can remember back when we were kids and I scraped my arm and he just sucked his teeth at me. But this is different.'

He removed her finger.

`that was reckless.'

“That will do for now, the bleeding has stopped.”

“Uh thank you. Uh Sesshomaru…what does it take for a demon to fall in love?” he seized all action. He turned back to kagome.

“Sorry it wasn't my right to ask.” She continued to nail the wooden frame.

`That was reckless, why the hell did I ask him something like that?!' she slammed the hammer onto the nail. Again, and again until sesshomaru grabbed her wrist.

“I think that's enough for today. Don't worry kagome you didn't upset me in any way, in fact I will tell you.”

“No! No don't I lost my composure for a moment, it's ok really, I…I…” she looked down.

“I'm sorry…but you…probably developed a hating of nigens and I'm not saying it's a bad thing because you are a demon so you don't have those feelings, but I have something to say to you…”

He looked her dead in her eyes reading them silently.

`She about to cry and she is feeling doubt and rejection…from me.'

“We've been friends for a long time now, but I've ran away from this manor so I've missed out a lot. I don't know what happened to you. You were kind and sweet especially to me of all people but…I've always felt like you were drawing away from me…and I didn't like it, I wanted to be near you but that night when I ran away I never even thought about you…it was about three months after I left when I started feeling empty, like a part of me was missing…that day…the first day of school when you rescued me from those guys, they had been pestering me for a while now. I thought you were just the average Joe but when I saw those eyes I knew it was you…my heart soared but it nagged at me that you wouldn't love me the way I had thought for years, so I put it behind me.”

He took a step closer and a single tear dropped from her eyes.

“Kagome…”

“I had thought for the longest that if I told you my true feelings things would change, I've had dreams that you would laugh and say that all nigens were the same…but every time I would yell…that I'm not like the others…then I would wake up to the sun. A brand new day it was just a dream right? Wrong I just can't help the fact that I'm in love with you…and I can't shake the feeling that you would reject me and stomp on my face. How could you possibly love me when I'm a nigen? Why would you a demon of high status ever love me, as far as I'm concerned I could be a stranger that's been living in you're home for all these years…” she stopped when she felt him rub his thumbs against her tears drying them away. He cupped her face in his hands.

“Kagome…i could never see myself hurting you in any way, you remember I asked you how to protect? And you asked me who it was? That person was you. I needed to protect you because something about you pulled me from my true demon ways.”

“but why?” the sun slowly began to set and set the huge living room sized attic a warm glow of orange and red. He lowered his hands to her shoulders and lowered his head and planted a kiss on her lips. His tongue trailed over hers asking for entrance. She complied and traced his fangs with her tongue. He snaked his arms around her waist and pulled her closer her arms pressed against his chest. He broke the kiss.

“Kagome I want you to belong to me…I want you to be mine…forever…as my lover, my wife, and the mother of my pups…I want you as my mate.” She stood shocked. She had gasped so loud he thought she had gone hoarse. Tears cascaded down her face.

`He loves me! He does he really does love me!' she nodded. She had never had a proposal like that before ever…and the tone of his voice was calmed serious and slightly firm.

“I would be honored.” She hugged him and inhaled his sweet sent. He gently placed her on the huge box that was behind them.

“There are some things that I have to tell you about mating.”

“ok.” He knelt in front of her.

“First thing is the mark…it will sit right there.” He tapped on the spot that connects the nape of her neck with her shoulder on her right side.

“oh.” She blushed staring into his eyes.

“And I will put it there with my fangs.” She blushed.

“The next thing is status, you will be known as the new lady of the western lands.”

“The western lands?”

“Yes it's the lands ruled by my father that was passed on to me. And now I'm sharing it with you.” She hung her head low.

“What's wrong?”

“What will people say when a nigen is mated to a youkai?”

“Which brings me to power, the power to control the others, once mated that mark will change into my family crest but the original mark will remain on you're neck. They will take notice the mark and change in you're sent and they will stay away, for the nigens all you have to do is stay by my side. The nigens at you're school find me intimidating.” He smirked.

“So when will I receive the mark?” Sesshomaru blushed slightly.

“They mark can only be placed right before the mating session, meaning the moment right before I take you.” She blushed a deep red.

“oh.” She wondered for a moment.

“Do I have to mark you back?”

“Hai.”

He shifted slightly.

“You're fangs will grow and you will bite me in return.” He lifted her up and guided her out the now dimmed blue room. He made sure that the house was still empty and proceeded to his room. Kagome sat on his bed while he exited the room for a moment. She looked around the huge silver and blue room. His top cover to his bed was blue silk and the bottom covers were silver grey Egyptian cotton. Not to mention it was a king sized bed stretched out to an unnamed size.

`His bed is huge.' She looked towards the huge window; the curtains were a light shade of grey that had a gentle touch of blue to them. The room set off a cool calm and collective feeling which is what he actually was. He returned to the room and gave her a warm smile.

“Where did you go?”

“I had to make a phone call.” He sat beside her on the bed and smiled.

“There is one more thing, whether you like it or not you have to make a choice between human and demon. But you mentally can't decide, you're body and inner feelings make the decision for you.”

“I see, so if I really want to become youkai my body will feel it and picks the decision for me?”

“Hai.”

“Meaning that in the morning I will be either nigen or youkai?”

“Hai.” She still had more to say but got lost in his amber depths. She leaned her face to his and her lips locked with his. He was shocked at her boldness then relaxed as he returned the kiss. His arms made their way towards her waist as she was brought onto his lap facing him. Her legs straddled his waist and her arms wrapped around his neck. They broke off the kiss with much needed air.

“My kagome…” he kissed her neck and gently went to the buttons on her shirt. He felt her tense and stopped.

“If you're not ready just say, I am not willing to do this if you are not ready with me.”

She hung her head low and then looked into his golden eyes.

“sesshomaru…”

 

Wow a cliff hanger I know but I didn't want the chapter to be too long ^. ~
