Inuyasha bundled the figure more carefully and held it in his hands. He could hear kaede's hard breathing behind him. His legs were weary but he could not stop not rest for the sake of Kagome

“Do you know were your going?” Kaede yelled through the swirling winter wind. The ground was carpeted in a white glowing blanket that shimmered to itself. The snowflakes looked like falling stars that fluttered to the ground and melted into ice.”

“Of course I do! I would know were my brother lived even if… well he moved.” He smirked, as the bundle moved In his arms

“Were am I? What's going on?” Kagomes voice rang. And it was like a boom that broke through the icy wind.

“Were taking you to get help.” Said a calm voice and as though she had no strength she faded back into the hell of her dreams

 

 

“Please don't hurt me…please don't hurt me” the voice echoed over and over again

“I'm not going to I promise…just drink this and every thing will be ok.”

“Hei, Hurry up so we can go god damn it!” the one they called Hei the smallest of the four looked at the sleek black haired figure and cursed “Uramestey fucking grow up!”

“She's in shock guys!” the Kagome in front of her was shaking violently and was crying and wailing so load that Kagomes' ear drums went shot. The last few days in her state she felt nothing herd nothing only knew there was something more beyond the gray dimness and pain she felt that she had learned to shove aside and often pretend it was not there. But still sometimes it overcame her but for these last few days she…the girl had left her mom which had left her with a sickening feel to her stomach, and now she was scared terrified but she didn't care the dream had consumed her and now she watched someone else play her part…but the actress was week and she could never believe that she would ever degrade herself so the sobbing mess in front of her.

“Knock it off I said you stupid baka!” Yuskai yelled at the tall red head trying to sooth the girl from her wails.

(“Why…”) managed Kagome weekly (“why must I live?)

 

 

They arrived at Shessoumaru's about the same time the next day and unlike what they expected Shessoumaru carefully leaned out, though he knew who was there and snorted in defiance (which they had expected) Inuyasha put Kagome down and proceeded up the long stairs “why have you come and intruded on my domain?” sneered Shessoumaru. He stood there sword in hand and ready to fight but Inuyasha was soaked to the bone and ragged and meekly smiled at him

“Nice to see you to…”he tailed off “Kagome she…she needs your help.” Shessoumaru looked astonished and then taking matters into his own hands he twisted the situation around “Great...Hmm…well first you can help me dog.” He sneered. Inuyasha looked at him so wearily that Shessoumaru's face almost showed pity, “Take this to Kikyo will you…” and there he handed him a silver ball with a brass tree attached to it and the roots deeply wrapped around the ball.

“What is it?” Inuyasha asked calmly although he thought he already knew

“Its moms…soul” Shessoumaru scuffed unimpressed. Inuyasha stared and like a fiery vengeance glared at his brother so dismayed and then even admitted to him self who else could it ever go to? Inuyasha turned on his heel, alert and aware his brother could kill him if he ever even thought about advancing on him. “Wait…how did you know I wouldn't attack you?” Shessoumaru asked seeming puzzled even though he played it strait “It's not like you to hit a man when he's down.” And then he slipped off Shessoumaru just looked down the stairs to were kagome sat bundled up and her face looked like one of pain “maybe I should help…huh why would I? Kagome never did anything wrong to me? Fine I will… but I must watch that half breed Inuyasha.”

 

 

Inuyasha knocked on the door and a few minutes later the door swung open and he was staring into the eyes of the dead priestess Kikyo. “Inu... Inuyasha… why have you come?” he handed out the small orbed tree which Kikyo took her time taking it which made it harder for Inuyasha to let go of the rest of his mother. “So from what I see Shessoumaru is helping you… even letting you live on his homes land if you know what I mean…” he stared blankly at the miko who invited him in to the warm cozy home that was out of the wind and quite comfy. “well I have no place better to go Inuyasha… my soul snatchers abandoned me and I cant live without a soul and my heart lust for more than just a body but for a soul to call my own to make me into human instead of living dead.” She announced handing him a rather large glass of alcohol. He accepted and they both stood up this was what he dreaded…” you promised you would protect me Inuyasha but” oh no it was coming “…your not doing so good my body longs for…for you!” she said grabbing the front of his shirt and pulling him into her lips “you were to burn in hell with me”

“Kagome…just like Kagome”

 

 

Kagome woke startled to see Shessoumaru leaning over her “She's awake.” He said in his regular sexy monotone voice. She just stared lamely up at both the paralyzed Kaede and the terrifying Shessoumaru but she was neither afraid nor mad at the demon.

“Ware's Inuyasha?” the question came out soft and drained. “Inuyasha went to take Kikyo her soul.” Shessoumaru implied but Kagome's face drained of the rest of is color and she could see through the window a tiny cottage with steam rising from it. Kagome stood up an with all her strength walked towards the door jawkin quietly opened it and the two seated watched her go “he said he loved me… when we made love he said I was the only one…” she hastened her walk and reached the cottage, she took a minute to regain her breath before banging on the door…she didn't even wait for a reply just barged in and jaw dropped at the painful site of her lover lip locked with the dead miko…she burst into tears as Inuyasha whirled around to see her running out the door barley able to stand “You shouldn't have come Inuyasha.” Kikyo said and shut the door behind him

Inuyasha ran after her but by the time he got to her, she was not crying but just sitting there angry “Kagome…”

“Inuyasha,” she interrupted gazing at him sadly “let me go.” then she got up and walked back to Shessoumaru's residence at least there she was welcome and didn't care to go back to.

 

Just let me go Inuyasha… just let me go.
