Inuyasha:

Kikyo is there with her body wrapped by souls as she sucks them into her body. I feel Naraku is close but is hiding his smell well. Keade sits down and start chanting and I can feel her spell surrounding all of us as we prepare. I slide my sword out quickly and it transform. Sesshomaru extends his claws and his eyes turn red, he is almost changed but he's probably waiting for the right time. Koga take his fighting position next to Sango who holds her boomerang ready. Mirouku hold his staff ready to fight. Keade releases her spell and all of a sudden demons are on us in packs of twenty or more. I slash my way to Kikyo. I look over to the other who are doing well right now and face back to Kikyo. She stares at me with hatred. I feel hate and pity all at once. She still does not know the truth. "Why Kikyo? Why are you with Naraku? Why did you help kill a child? Why?" She stares at me with almost blank eyes. The only emotion that is showing is hatred. I feel myself shiver as she smiles slowly. Not a nice smile more like a grimace. I feel demons ready to attack me and turn to them. My brother has released his demons and there is a huge battle between all the demons. Neither side is really winning. I kill the evil demons easily. I turn back to Kikyo and she is not there! Where is she? Then I smell it.

Sesshomaru:

I smell Naraku, he is close. I look at Koga and nod to a tree. He nods back and we jump fast into the tree and see Naraku. He chuckles, "Well I see you've found my hiding spot. What you going to do about it?" I growl and Koga jumps him. I jump him on the other side. But it's an empty robe. Damn him. I try to scan for him with all my senses then I hear a terrifying scream that is cut off to short. Koga looks sad as he looks down and points. The old woman is in a puddle of blood and her dead sister above her. Inuyasha yells, "How could you do that? She's was your sister." Kikyo reflects a sadness for a split second then the hatred is back. "She betrayed me like you did. She deserved to die. To take arms against me with my worse enemy." Inuyasha growls and tries to slice her with the sword but she easily side steps. "Maybe I should try and find my incarnation. She is as good as dead as you." I feel Inuyasha's anger grow. "No," I yell at him, "she's only trying to get you riled up Inuyasha. Don't let her." He calms down and nods thoughtfully. Koga taps me on the shoulder and points closer to the cliff and I see Naraku looking for Kagome. I point to his back, "Attack that spider mark on his back, it's his weakness. I'll distract him." He nods and I change into a giant dog and jump on him. He looks horrified for a second then slashes me. I jump back and then run around him and try to slice his neck he backs up. I hold him to the rocky face of the cliff. I shake my head and squeeze him tighter. He is pretty weak. I look up to Kagome, "Shoot one of your arrows straight down, he will split in half." She nods and quickly does as she is told. He smiles and pushes me away at the last second then turns the arrow into dust. Oh no now he know where Kagome is.

Kagome:

Oh no. I watch as Naraku jumps up to me. He looks at me with contempt and lust. I shudder and take my father's sword out. He snickers and reaches for me. My sword all of suddenly turns to dust. Oh no. Please no. I watch as he reaches for my throat. "You know Kagome, you look a lot like Kikyo. Maybe better in your new form." I scream but can't. He grins and rips bow and arrow off me. I stare at him and hold my stomach. NO!! He won't kill me. I look at his body and see dozens and dozens of shards but the biggest is in his chest and head. I push him and run to the cliff's edge and jump off and land on my feet. He is close behind but before he reaches down I already have my gun trained on him. I shoot his chest and he falls back surprised. I yell for anyone and Sesshomaru appears. "Rip him up, I'll get as many shards before he regenerates." He nods and quickly changes into the dog and rips Naraku up. I reach down and remove many small pieces and a huge one in his heart. I sense him regenerating and I shoot him quickly in the head. Sesshomaru looks surprised but continues to shred him as I remove shards. I stuff them in my mouth for safety and swallow along with my part of the jewel. I feel it coming together inside me. I grab shards and shoot Naraku many times. I can taste his blood in my mouth and I spit out as much but I continue trying not to vomit. The jewel is almost complete. I look frantically for the last parts of the jewel. There is at least one more. Oh where is it? He starts to pull his body together and a hand shoots up and grabs Sesshomaru by the throat. I cry out and frantically claw at it Sesshomaru looks at me sadly and tries to breathe. I cry out as a hand comes from behind and grabs me. I turn my head and see Naraku smiling. There they are! In his eyes! I claw at his face and he just sidesteps. Damn him! I look at Sesshomaru who is struggling to breathe and cry out. Koga comes out of nowhere and quickly rips the hand off. Sesshomaru takes a quick breath and coughs a little. I try and twist out of Naraku's grasp but it's too strong. I rub my belly and howl. No one is going to hurt my baby. I turn suddenly seeing red and pounce.

Inuyasha:

I heard Kagome howl and look over to her. Her eyes are burning red and I see marks appearing on her face. She howls again and an energy burst from her body. I hold my claws from the bright light and look back at her. She is naked but changing quickly. Dark blue black hair starts to cover her body and her body grows. Her shape changes into a huge blue black dog. She howls to the night sky and pounces on Naraku. She starts mauling his face. I turn away, gods she is now a beast. I stare at Kikyo who is staring at the show and she whispers, "She just ate the last of the jewel fragments." I stare at Kagome who is back in her human form in a heap. I try to run to her but Kikyo blocks my way. "Get the fuck out of my way Kikyo. My mate needs me." "No! You made that girl your mate. She just killed my only chance of revenge on you. I will kill her and get the jewel and wish you to hell." She disappears and then reappears at Kagome's side. I run and stop Kikyo just before she shoots Kagome. "NO!! You will not kill her. Take me with you to hell but leave her. Take me instead of her. Please." Kikyo looks at Kagome with some sort of pain in her eyes. "Why Inuyasha? Why did you betray me? Why are you willing to sacrifice yourself for her and yet you killed me? Why?" I stare at her with disbelief. Why doesn't she just get this over with? I try to think clearly but my mind feels like I was sat a hundred times. "Inuyasha just answer me. I'm tired of fighting. I just want answers and then I'll take you if that's your wish. If you really want to save that girl." I look at Kagome and then look at everyone else. There are no more demons and Kagome killed Naraku. Everyone stares at me and Kikyo. Kagome looks like she sleeping peacefully and I lean down and kiss her lightly on her forehead and like her ear softly.

Sesshomaru:

I stare at Inuyasha with shock. He is acting like he's saying goodbye to her. I watch Kikyo and see her eyes flash with hurt then anger then tiredness. I see she is threatening Kagome and Inuyasha is stopping her. He's sacrificing himself! I listen to Kagome stir and wake up just as Inuyasha turn to speak to Kikyo. Why is he just talking to her? Does he still have feelings for her?

Kagome:

I feel Inuyasha's lips on my forehead and his tongue on my ears. Is it finished? I open my eyes and see Kikyo and Inuyasha talking. "I will not let you take her. Take me instead. Please. Spare her and our child." I see hurt flash in Kikyo's eyes then anger. "Damn you Inuyasha how could you betray me? How come you made her your mate and yet killed me? Why?" Inuyasha sucks a breath in and sighs. "Kikyo how could you be so damn blind. I never betrayed you." "LIAR!" Kikyo cries and then punches him. He takes it and continues, "I loved you once Kikyo but it was just a passing thing. You were a good friend, I would never of betrayed you. We were both tricked and deceived by the same person. Naraku! He used to be that damn thief you harbored in that cave." Kikyo gasps, "You lie." "Damn it Kikyo listen to me. Naraku used to be human but he started to feel desire for you and he called the demons to devour him and in exchange turn him into a demon. He desired you and that damn jewel. He took my form to deceive you then took your form to deceive me. I was stupid and hothead so I attacked the village and you protected it. I know why you pinned me to that tree and I'm glad you did. Naraku was so sure you would use the jewel to save yourself but you chose death. He wanted the jewel to become evil as you so he could have both." As he finishes I see Kikyo with tears but I can tell she does not fully believe him. I rise slowly in pain. Inuyasha looks back at me and smiles softly. I look at Kikyo and tell her, "Kikyo, I can tell you still love Inuyasha but your dead. Everything he has told you is the truth. I know you don't like me but everyone here has been hurt by Naraku one way or another. Your dead Kikyo and so is Naraku. The person that hurt you so bad is not here. He's in hell, you should join him. Make him pay for eternity and leave us be. You deserve to rest now." I watch as she contemplates this and nods. "Kagome, You are me in a sense. You have my soul and I think that you are made of everything good I used to be and goodness you yourself created too. I am just a shell of evilness that witch created. I want to die now so here." She holds out her hands and there is a small piece of souls in them. "This is yours rightfully Kagome. Your soul is not complete without this part that never returned to you." She is crying now and I feel tears as I accept it. It slowly slips into me as Kikyo body crumbles into dust. I turn to Inuyasha and hug him crying.

Inuyasha:

She did it. Kagome killed both of them almost by herself. I feel remorse a little. She did it all and I couldn't help her. But it's over and now we can live in peace. I look around and see Everyone staring at us. Mirouku slowly looks down at his hand and carefully unwraps the beads and sees a whole palm for the first time in his entire life. I watch as he drops to his knees giving thanks to the gods. Sango and Koga hug each other in relief. They all look like they were in the middle of a stampede but they look happy. Sesshomaru slowly walks up with a bruised neck that is slowly healing. He takes his jacket off and hands it to me and I quickly cover Kagome's body. She is so battered but she smiles at me weakly. I kiss her fully on the mouth. We break away and she says, "Inuyasha, I'm tired can I go to sleep." I pick her up even though my cracked ribs protest and carry her sleeping form. I look at everyone, "Why did we come if Kagome did all the hard work?" I joke lightly. Everyone chuckles and shake their heads. Sesshomaru looks serious and asks, "What about the jewel Inuyasha? She swallowed all the pieces." I stare at Kagome's face and lift my shoulders. "Koga will you carry Keade's body? She deserves a proper burial." Koga nods and lifts the old woman over his shoulders and then we all head back to the village. It's over. The lies and deceit of mine and Kikyo's past is now over. The truth is living and I have a new life with my mate and my family.
