Love's downfalls and rewards.

It's a one-shot, please read and at the end, please review!

Kagome lay on her bed, thinking about the guy that had stolen and ripped her heart into thousands of tiny pieces that lay at the bottom of her soul.

A cold on it was. Her grey eyes surveyed the room, she hadn't been picking up after herself lately. She didn't find any need for it. "Let the people who find my dead body clean up the mess." she muttered as she slid off her bed.

She didn't really care that she had made an even bigger mess when everything came toppling over from the dresser in front of her. Glass smashed as the mirror fell over.

Something was wrong with her. What if someone had walked in on her and caught her in the act. She would be regretting smashing the mirror, even more so the very dirty room around her.

She sighed.

`I'll do it no matter what.' she reassured herself as she got off of her ass and stalked into the kitchen, pulling the fridge open and forgetting what she was doing for a second.

"I'm so fucking stupid." she cursed as another many thoughts of him interrupted her from her job of getting herself something to eat.

"I hate you, you know." she hissed at a picture of the silver haired boy that had ripped her heart out. Now why was she keeping a picture of that guy inside her house?

"Good question." she said aloud as she took the frame magnet and tossed it into the trash as she shut the fridge door with a slam.

She sighed walking into the bathroom. She winced at the way she looked. Her pale skin and matted black hair made her seem ugly and just so plain. She didn't want to look like that when someone came into her house and saw her on the kitchen floor with blood pouring from a knife wound on her chest.

"I'll take a shower." she stated getting undressed, she sighed happily as she let the feeling of the hot water on her skin make her want to melt. Everything was so perfect, maybe she'd even take a bath . . . "Yeah, bath sounds good." she thought aloud.

As soon as she finished washing her hair she jumped out of the shower and turned it off only to have the tub fill with water in a much faster rate.

She smiled as she hummed a tune while pouring relaxing bubble bath and salts into the water making it turn into a pale shade of pink. Her smile widened as she lit rose scented floating candles and put them in the water. This was her last bath; she wanted it to be perfect.

Just than there was a knock on the door. "Just ignore them, they'll go away." she whispered to herself. And to her discomfort the knocking did not stop. She sighed and walked to the door, grabbing her robe on the short way to the door.

She sighed and looked through the whole on the door. Her heart skipped a beat.

`Inuyasha.' she thought, as the man on the other side lost his impatience.

"Kagome, open the door!" he called from the other side, his amber eyes trying to look through the door whole too. "I see Kagome, open the door."

Kagome sighed; Inuyasha was such a stubborn bastard he'd never go away, so she opened up.

"What took you so long wench, I almost thought you were dead in here." he said walking past her and making to sit on the sofa.

"Yeah, I could tell." Kagome snapped at him, trying her best not to just run into the kitchen and stab herself right then.

"What's your problem?" he asked looking her over. "Getting into bed now are we, with whom?" he asked, his amber eyes glazing over with anger.

"Why would you care, I was about to take a bath."

"I smelled the rose scents Kagome, what's so special about tonight?" he asked. "I thought you wanted to save those for the guy you wanted to marry."

Kagome bit her lip. "The guy I wanted to marry doesn't want to marry me, so I thought I might as well use them up. They wouldn't suit anyone else but him anyway." she answered him, still standing beside the door.

"Hey Kagome, I'm not the owner of this apartment you know, come sit with Me." he gestured her to sit beside him.

Kagome looked at the seat beside him and sighed. "What do you want Inuyasha?" she asked as she closed her eyes. "I know you came here to talk about something."

It was Inuyasha's time to bite his lip. "You know Kagome, when you caught me with that girl."

Kagome's temper finally snapped. "You came here to talk to me about some fucking girl, why didn't you go talk to Sango about it, I'm sure she'd show more interest than me!" Kagome yelled at him.

"Fuck Kagome, I did talk to her about it!" he yelled back at her. "She told me to talk to you about it!"

"About a girl who you practically kissed to death?!"

"No, about us!"

"What about us?!" Kagome asked venom coated her hateful words. Her anger had snapped and she was in the kitchen now, with Inuyasha standing right across from her.

"Why are we in the kitchen?" he asked blankly as she smiled evilly at him. "Kagome what are you thinking . . ."

A special night, I'll save them `til than.

`Kagome loves baths, maybe . . .'

His eyes widened as Kagome pulled a knife from the drawer she had just opened she was just about to stab it to her chest when Inuyasha slapped the knife from her hand.

"Don't be stupid Kagome, don't ever try to do that!" he yelled at her, while she only looked down at the knife on the floor staring with hopelessness.

Inuyasha watched as tears slid down her cheeks, he quickly put his arms around her in a comforting gesture, but was pushed away.

"I don't want your sympathy, I hate you!" she sobbed as she kept hitting him in the chest as he continued to try and hold her in his embrace.

"Kagome, stop it!" he growled at her, taking her in her arms he held her arms to her sides to stop her from hitting him.

Kagome still struggled in his grasp, even though she knew it was futile to try and get out of his embrace she just kept trying to push him away.

"Why Kagome, why would you do something like commit suicide. It's just not like you." he whispered to her, kissing away a tear on her left cheek. He ignored the salty taste of the tear as he tasted Kagome. Her taste drugged him at that moment and he started kissing her.

Kagome was caught off guard as Inuyasha pressed his lips to hers, slipping his tongue into her mouth to meet her tongue. The feelings and taste of him drove her to respond to the kiss, she did. Passionately.

Inuyasha battled her tongue in a waging war and only withdrew when he or she needed to breathe. He thought it was only going to go as far as kissing but he was dead wrong.

"Kagome." he moaned as he slid her hands into his shirt after she reprehended him of his jacket which lay on the floor beside the counter. He moaned again as he felt Kagome trail her fingers down his muscles, enjoying the way they twitched from her touch.

"You're so easy Inu . . ." Kagome whispered seductively into his neck, kissing over his Adam's apple and pressing and open mouthed kiss over his pulse.

"As if I'd let you do that to me, Bitch." Inuyasha hissed back as he pushed her to the wall beside the fridge. He smiled as he heard her moan from the contact with his arousal. "You feel that Kagome? That's how badly I want you." he whispered to her, just as seductively as her last sentence to him.

"Not here, Inu . . ." Kagome moaned as she felt him press hot open mouthed kisses just before the swell of her breasts.

"Where?" Inuyasha asked against her skin, feeling no need to stop what he was doing.

"Bathroom." she whispered into his fluffy dog ears on top of his head before taking one in her mouth and sucking lightly on the tip.

"Don't, Kagome. Wait did you say bathroom?"

"Yes." Kagome answered as she began to blow on the soft fur covered ear.

"You want to do it with me?" he asked, coming into eye level with her. She nodded and he couldn't help but kiss her harshly. "Are you sure you'll be able to handle me?"

Kagome smiled at his concern as nodded. "I'm strong Inuyasha, and I love you . . ." she whispered to him.

Inuyasha gulped.

"Don't you feel the same way?" she asked the dreaded question.

Inuyasha thought fast and smirked. "It sure will be fun finding out, won't it Kagome." he said to her before he let her strip of his shirt and pants all together.

Kagome pulled back and looked at him, he was so hot when he wore nothing but boxers, and she smiled as she saw how big he was for her.

"You want me that much Inuyasha?" she asked, pulling off her robe and standing completely naked to his eyes.

Inuyasha gasped, she was so fucking beautiful, not to mention sexy. `I can't wait.' he thought as he pushed her to the wall again. Covering her mouth with his immediately and letting his fang brush against her lips slightly as he explored with his wondering tongue.

He gently picked her up, his mouth still latched onto hers as he walked towards the bathroom. He smelled the roses and the salts and the bubble bath fill the room. He smiled; this was all supposed to be for him and her.

He dropped her into the water and entered it himself after he took off his boxers, the water was so fucking hot. "Let me guess, you were actually going to drown yourself."

"And let you find me naked in the bath, no way." Kagome said mock shocked as she smiled and pushed to one of the walls of the bath, kissing his collar bone and trailing her hot tongue across his hot flesh.

"Mmm . . ." Inuyasha moaned as he let her get on with her ministrations. She was so good at what she was doing. Inuyasha let out a yelp as he felt her start to grind herself against his bare erection.

Kagome smiled at him, before reaching behind him and pulling the plug, letting all the water drain and the burnt out candles to land on the empty bottom of the tub. "Lets take this to the bed." she told him, kissing him on the lips and made to pull away before Inuyasha put his arms around her waist pulling her closer, and kissing along her collar and going lower taking one of her nipples into his mouth.

Kagome moaned her approval as Inuyasha tugged and licked at the little bud, he soon switched to the other than finally let go of her and pushed her down.

"I'm going to fuck you so hard, Bitch." Inuyasha added the last part smugly as he kissed her forehead lightly and made his way down her body, trailing his wet tongue down her bared skin, across her navel and to the nest of curls at her heat.

He was so suddenly surrounded by the scent of her heat that he almost came. But he held back, he smiled lowering his head and pushing her legs apart. Boy was she lucky she could afford such a big bath tub, man; she could even swim in it.

Kagome yelped as she felt his tongue tasting her, it was such a new experience for her. Everything she was feeling was new to her, feeling like Inuyasha loved her was new to her.

Inuyasha removed his tongue and his head from the intoxicating smell of her arousal. "Kagome . . . hey!" he yelled at her as she switched their positions.

"My turn." she said eagerly, as she kneeled in front of him, smiling as she did so. She took his length in her hands and started pumping, she smiled every time she heard Inuyasha mutter a string of curse words and moan his approval of what she was doing to him. Than finally his control snapped after his arousal was surrounded by her mouth.

"Kagome." he groaned as she sucked harder and harder each time, than he pulled her away and rushed her to her room. Ignoring the mess around them he set her on the bed and spread her legs.

"You ready?" he asked positioning himself at her entrance. He smiled when she nodded. He pushed in, passed the barrier of her virginity. At first he stopped for awhile to gain control, than he whispered a quick `I love you' to her before pulling out and jamming back into her.

Everything was perfect to Kagome, for one night everything was perfect for her, and she was happy.

~*two weeks later*~

"Oh Kagome, there he is!" Sango exclaimed as she pushed her best friend towards her new boyfriend of two weeks.

"Uh . . . Hi Inuyasha." she stuttered as she was pushed into Inuyasha.

"Hi, babe."

"Babe? What happened to Bitch?" she asked, sarcasm coating her words.

"Kagome tell him!" Sango snapped at her, before going over to sit with Miroku.

"Tell me what?" Inuyasha asked as he watched his girlfriend. She looked the same, she didn't look worried just nervous. "What's wrong?"

"Inuyasha, promise you won't get mad." Kagome told him. "Promise."

"Yeah, I promise. Now what is it?" he asked getting very annoyed.

"Well, umm . . . I'm pregnant." she told him.

"Yeah, I know." he answered her, tossing an arm around her shoulders.

"How come you didn't tell me? It wouldn't have cost me any money if you just told me I was pregnant." Kagome snapped at him. "You're such an asshole!"

"Oh if I'm such an asshole than why'd I buy this lovely ring in a lovely black box to present to you as an engagement ring?"

"So soon?" she asked him confused.

"Yeah, since we're having a baby and I want to spend all my life with you, and you want to spend all you're life with me . . . you do want to, right?" Kagome nodded. Inuyasha smiled than got down on one knee. "Kagome Higurashi, the girl of my dreams and my very first friend and hopefully wife and Mother of my baby, will you please marry me?"

Kagome smiled at his simple proposal. She got down on her knees and kissed him for all it was worth, and it was worth a lot.

So the happy couple got married after their son, Kyoko was born. The reason for the name was behind the look-a-like smile the two had when they were looking at each other. So they were an exact mirror of each other. Kyoko was the perfect name for their son. By now the two were already making plans for a second child.

So I guess love can lead to some really tough stuff. I would know. Well hope you liked the one-shot. It's my first one since `Love at First Sight' and that other one I hate so much. I think it sucked. Well please review cuz I sorta liked it, and I'd like the story a lot more if more people liked it. And I really need the encouragement. I had a very bad writers block and don't know why. But I'm gonna focus on `A Pirate's Life' for now. Well l8er!
