Romeo and Juliet: Inuyasha Style

It was a peasant day in Paris as always. Sango walked the streets with her dear friend Lady Kagome. They were raised together by Sango's mother, who was Kagome's wet nurse. Together they played and became close friends much to Kagome's mother's detest. So they kept the image up as Lady Kagome and her servant Sango. Today, they were at the market looking for lace for a dress.

Lord Inuyasha looked sharpened his sword while seating on a ledge over looking the market. His brother was nagging again about his attendance in the court. He believes that Inuyasha should keep up with all affairs of the state. But Inuyasha thought this was boring. Why should demons meddle in the lives of human? Just make them slave and be done with it, Inuyasha thought. But many lords are human so we can't do that. Darn the house of Chaplets. The house of Inu, where only the best leaders are born counting Inuyasha, are fighting with the human. Inuyasha leaned his head against the cool surface of the stone wall, and closed his eyes. He placed his sword back into the holder.

One of his ears flicks. "Ah here is my annoying cousin, Miroku." Inuyasha sat up. Miroku walked by and stopped in front of Inuyasha. "What are you doing he-ere? I thought-t you-s were withs your father," Inuyasha smelled the achole coming off if his dear friend. Inuyasha grabbed the bottle of sake from Miroku's hand and thew it into a nearby wall. He walked away from the drunken man and placed his forearms on the ledge. His eye caught a human girl. Her black hair simmered in the morning sun, her eyes full of hope. He shook his hand to rid him of the thoughts. He focused his mind on his girlfriend. A wolf demon, Kikyo, was a very pretty girl but nothing compared to the girl he just saw. He noted to himself to go over the Kikyo's house before today was over.

His drunken friend stumbled beside him. Being a dog demon too, Miroku had great senses too. His eyes looked over the market and then he gasped. "Chaplets," Miroku hissed under his breath. He shares the same hatred towards them. Miroku drew his sword and started toward the market. "Dear cousin, if it is Lord Capulet then I will join you with the fight, but who is it that your blood boils for," Inuyasha lad a cool hand on Miroku's shoulder. "`Tis a servant and a lady of the Capulet," Miroku said while pulling himself from Inuyasha grip. "Lady you say, if it was not a Capulet then I would stop you but now go ahead and get your fill of blood, I will join you," with that Miroku jumped off the roof and landed on the ground on the market. Women grabbed their children and ran men placed their hands on their swords. But Miroku paid no attition to them instead his glaze fell on two ladies.

Inuyasha felt his blood heat and took claim breaths to help him. He turned is back and jumped to the next roof, if there was going to be a battle his father and brother should know about it.

Miroku blinked a couple times to clear his eyes. His drunken state was leaving him as his blood heated up. He took steps toward the Lady and her servant. He ran forward and attacked the Lady; the servant was not inpartant right now. The Lady moved out of the way but her side was cut.

Kagome grabbed her side. Blood pour from between her fingers. Sango was heading towards her but at the signal of her head she dismissed her. Kagome slowly stood, she flexed her back and cracked her neck. Two cat ears popped from the top of her head. Miroku gasped. A demon that is a Capulet? What is going on? He thought. Kagome took this time to pull out her dagger and lung at Miroku. She hit him on his arm causing a cut three inches to appear. Miroku found he was no match for the young demon so he backed off.

"Tell me young maiden, how is that a demon like your self is a Capulet? I thought Chaplets were all humans. Wait, are you a half demon?" Miroku gasped.

Why yes I am so begone with you damn dog and never let me see your face again," with that Kagome turned.

A White horse rode up and a furry object hopped off. Kagome bowed, "Prince Shippo" Miroku bowed slightly.

"What have I told you about the peace in my town. If you disrupted the peace one more time both of the families will pay with death, now begone both of you." Shippo turned and hopped on his horse and rode away. When Miroku turned he found that the ladies were gone.
