Wow, 11 chapters already! I can't believe this is the 12th chapter! You all rock! I'm so glad you like Love Sucks so much! I'm trying to drag this out as far as I can, so expect plenty more!

Chapter 12

True Feelings

After the police came over, Kagome fell asleep with her head on Sango's lap. Sango promised to watch over Kagome while she was asleep. Sango thought about what had happened just a few hours earlier.

Two policemen arrived about half an hour after Sango called them. Kagome answered all their questions quietly after some persuasion. Sango could still remember every world she said. She could hardly believe that Naraku would actually do something so terrible. The police had some difficulty believing her at first, because Naraku's father was so powerful, but in the end they agreed to look into it. Before they left, Kagome remembered something else…something about Naraku's brother, Onigumo. Sango didn't like the look on their faces when she said his name. They mumbled something to each other, and nodded.

Onigumo was one of the most wanted criminals in Japan. He was known for raping and torturing women before murdering them. They quickly left, and Kagome started whimpering again. Sango ran to her side, and said, "Don't worry Kagome-chan! Now that we've told the police, they're bound to stop Naraku anytime!" Kagome nodded, and yawned. She closed her eyes, and laid her head down on Sango's lap. Sango smiled, and held Kagome's hand.

About two hours later, Kagome woke up in a start. Sweat dripped down the side of her head, and she shuddered. Sango was nowhere in sight. Kagome looked around in a hurry, sitting up on the couch. Suddenly, Sango walked in, and said,
"Oh, kagome-chan! You're awake! You ok? You look all sweaty." Kagome nodded and said, "Just a bad dream, I guess." She sighed, and brought her knees up to her chest. Sango sat down, and smiled softly. She put a hand on Kagome's arm and asked, "Do you want to tell me about it?" Kagome nodded, and sad, "Well…I'm in this dark room, and there's a light in the corner. I walk over to the corner and as I walk towards it, I see a sort of…blur there. As I get nearer, I see Inuyasha. His wrists are died up behind his back, and he's all torn up and bruised. Naraku comes out of the dark, and puts his hand up to Inuyasha's face, then laughs. It's the most horrible laugh in the world! Then he looks over to where I am, then at Inuyasha again, and … and … He …. God he slits his throat! Inuyasha opens his mouth, and all this black stuff comes out of it. Then Naraku laughs again and comes toward me. Oh Sango it was so weird! I'm worried about Inuyasha now!"

She felt a tear drop out of her eye down her cheek. "I love him. I know it's wrong to love him, but I can't help it!" Sango's eyes softened, and she asked, "Why is it wrong? If you truly love him, then what can you do about it? It's just how you feel. Kagome shook her head, and said, "Come on Sango-chan! Look at me, LOOK at me!! How can a girl like me, go out with somebody like him? He's a famous movie star, the guy that ever girl wants, and then there's me, nothing more than an eyesore! How could he ever love somebody like me??" Sango frowned and said, "If he doesn't love you, then he's the idiot! You are a GREAT person, Kagome, and don't let anybody tell you otherwise. You're the best friend I could ever have, and you deserve him!" Kagome smiled and said, "You really think so?" Sango nodded, "I KNOW SO!" Kagome smiled softly, and said, "Maybe…if he's not busy…I'll go visit him, ne?" Sango grinned and said, "GREAT idea Kagome-chan!"

Sango walked Kagome to the studio where Inuyasha was working. They had to sneak in because they didn't have passes. They knocked on the door to Inuyasha's trailer, but he wasn't there. Kagome decided to wait in his trailer until he got there. Sango left Kagome there after Kagome begged her to let her and Inuyasha be alone for a while. Kagome walked to Inuyasha's bed, and sat down. She put a hand on his pillow, and sighed. `Inuyasha…' she thought as she got up, and walked to his dresser. She ran a hand over the top, and then gripped the edge with both hands. She put her head up to the edge, and felt a tear slide down her cheek. She would never be able to see Inuyasha again. It just wouldn't work, I mean, how could Inuyasha love someone like…like her? Her she was, an ordinary, everyday girl with nothing special about her. Inuyasha was a famous movie star; he was handsome, funny, charming, and an incredible actor and the only guy Kagome has ever truly loved.

Kagome walked over to his bed, and sat down. She picked up his pillow, and hugged it tight. She had to tell him soon; otherwise she might never get the chance again. She had to tell him it was over; he didn't have to pose as her boyfriend anymore. She didn't want anybody else to get hurt, especially Inuyasha. She felt more tears fall down her cheeks, but she wiped them away in a hurry. She had to be strong about this; she couldn't let Inuyasha see how much she cared about him. `Why should he care about me anyways?' she thought bitterly, `this is all probably another act to him. He'll never have feelings for me. He'll never know how much I love him…Never.' She threw the pillow back behind her, and got up. She walked over to the door and reached out for the handle, but stopped when the handle started slowly turning.

The door opened in a rush, and Kagome found herself looking into the eyes of Inuyasha. Inuyasha blinked, and then jumped back, yelling, and "Whoa! Kagome stepped back, and blushing, "G…gomen ne, I didn't mean to scare you." Inuyasha could hardly believe his eyes. It was her…she was ok. Inuyasha slowly walked up the few steps to his trailer and stood in the doorway. He looked at Kagome, and said, "K…Kagome? Is that you?" She nodded, and Inuyasha looked relieved. Suddenly, Kagome found her face being pushed against Inuyasha's shoulder. Inuyasha had reached out and grabbed Kagome to give her a hug. Kagome felt her face turn red, and she said quietly, "Inuyasha…" He opened his eyes, and said, "I…I was scared. I thought you had died…When Sango called me; it was so hard for me to act cool. I was so scared something really bad had happened to you…I wasn't sure what to expect. I was going to visit you right away, but Sango said I should wait a little bit…I felt like my heart was going to burst from worry. Gods Kagome, I'm so glad you're alright!" He squeezed harder, then his eyes shot open. He started blushing furiously, and sort of pushed Kagome away. Kagome saw that his face was bright red, and she smiled. She said, "Well Inuyasha, here I am…I'm ok, I guess." She tried to smile, but when she saw Inuyasha's face, and the look in his eyes, she felt her lip tremble. She said, "Yep…I'm …great…" She felt tears slide down her cheeks, and Inuyasha looked at her in concern. Kagome covered her face with her hands, and burst out in tears. She fell to the ground on her knees, and Inuyasha quickly went down to the ground and wrapped his arms around her.

Inuyasha picked up Kagome, holding her like a baby, and sat down on his bed. Kagome cried even harder, and wrapped her arms around him, crying on his shoulder. Inuyasha was at a loss of what to do. He hated it when women cried; he felt so helpless. He wrapped his arms around her, and rubbed her back, saying softly, "its alright Kagome…its going to be ok now. I'm here with you, so it's all right. Nothing will happen now that I'm here, I promise." Kagome slowly stopped crying, and rubbed her eyes. She looked at Inuyasha, and she felt her heart squeeze. She got up and turned away. She grit her teeth, and said, "Inuyasha, its over. You don't have to worry about me anymore." Inuyasha looked confused and said, "What do you mean, `Its over'?" Kagome looked at Inuyasha, and said, "This whole `pose as my boyfriend' thing. You can stop acting now." She smiled sadly and said, "I guess this is the last time we'll ever see each other, ne? Sayonara Inuyasha." `I love you with all my heart.'

Kagome turned around and headed for the door. Inuyasha jumped up and grabbed Kagome's hand, saying, "what the hell are you talking about, Kagome?" He pulled Kagome so she was facing him. Kagome's eyes were overflowing with tears, and Inuyasha said, "I don't want this to be over! Damnit Kagome, don't you get it? I am in love with you!! I'm fucking head over my heels in love with you!" Kagome gasped, and her lower lip trembled. She shook her head and said, "No…Its not true. How can it be true? Look at me!" she said, "I'm nothing! How could somebody like you love… love somebody like me?? Your Inuyasha Fukaimori! Who am I? I'm Kagome Higurashi, the girl who is nothing more than ordinary! And yet, I'm the girl who's madly in love with you!!" Inuyasha felt his heart stop, and Kagome blushed, tears still streaming down her cheeks. "Ever since I kissed you, I've been in love with you. I can't get you out of my mind! I want you to mine, and mine only! I want to be yours, and belong to nobody else but you! I love you, Inuyasha!!" Inuyasha stared for a second, before bringing Kagome up close to him, and saying, "Remember this, Kagome, to me, you are the most beautiful woman in the world. If I could choose out anybody in the world to be mine, I'd choose you out of everyone in the world! You're the only one for me! You'll always be mine forever." Kagome pushed away and said, "How can you love me? Look at me!! I'm nothing, absolutely no…" Inuyasha pulled Kagome in for a deep kiss. Kagome sighed, and wrapped her arms around Inuyasha. Inuyasha grabbed Kagome, and laid her down on the bed, while still kissing. Kagome smiled through the kiss and thought, "Finally, I'm yours Inuyasha…My only true love."
