Love Thy Father…Or Grandfather?
Chapter 1: Professional Development
With a sigh, Ina arrived at her grandfather's house, having forgotten that it was professional development day at school. She sighed deeply and forced herself to smile as she walked into the house and shouted, “I'm here!” She heard crashing up the stairs after a few moments. Then a shout of, “I'll be right there!” She giggled slightly and sat in the living room. Her grandfather was goofy, she'd say that much. She heard him thump down the stairs and looked over her shoulder. He was a complete mess. She giggled. “Want some help?”
“Sure…”
After a few minutes of straightening up, her grandfather looked like his normal self - professional businessman in a suit. She brushed off his shoulders, being sure that he was entirely neat before smiling and grabbing a hair tie from the table. She gently pulled his hair into a high ponytail that still reached his knees. She tied it and grinned, hugging her grandfather. “I forgot to sleep in because it was professional development.”
“Ah, that explains it,” her grandfather commented. Ina knew his name to be “Inu Taisho” so she called him Inu-Papa a lot. Her grandfather had gotten a kick out of it when she was five and first started up her school career. She was brilliant but then met him, calling him Inu-Papa shortly after their introduction.
They both sat at the table. Inu smiled. “I found someone who wants to have dinner with me.”
“You're dating?” She asked, amazed. This amused Inu and he took out a camera, looking through the pictures until he found one. Ina frowned. “That's a senior at my school.”
“So?”
“She's a minor.”
“And…?”
“And it's against the law for you to date her.”
“…Shit.” Inu sighed and deleted the photo. “I'll break up with her tonight then.”
Ina smiled at this. “Want to go on a day out?”
“It's on me,” Inu replied. Ina grinned and tackled him with a hug, knocking him over. Ina giggled as he yelped like a dog from shock. Ina rolled off of him as he rubbed his head, which had hit the ground. He stared at her as she got up, keeping the thought of how it would feel to…Well, suffice it to say that he was oddly aroused…By his granddaughter. He got up and walked to the door, grabbing the keys from his pocket and holding the door for Ina. As she walked out, he locked the door and shut it. Looking over his shoulder, he found that Ina was already in his car. He blinked. “Wow…She's enthusiastic.”
Turning, Inu walked to his car and opened the door, slipping in calmly. He looked at Ina, who was squirming in her seat and sighed. “Excited?” He asked, although he already knew the answer. He smiled when Ina nodded quickly.
Inu started the car and began to drive to a Japanese store, knowing Ina would enjoy it. He parked and as soon as the car was parked, Ina was beaming. He knew she was hyper but he was also glad that she was obedient. He opened the door for her and she jumped out, waiting for him to tell her that she was allowed to enter the store.
After being given permission, Ina yipped happily and walked inside, bouncing. Inu laughed. He was amused by her. Ina was now looking through everything as Inu walked to the front counter where his friend was. Since Ina was always coming here on days off, they knew each other well.
Ina was still looking at things when the same girl that was on Inu's camera walked through the door, smiling at him pleasantly. She hadn't seen Ina and had seen Inu through the window. Of course, he had made sure his eyes were brown and his hair was blond before coming out of the house as he always did. Ina had blue eyes and black hair anyway so she just had to hide demonic features.
Inu glanced at her then looked in the direction Ina had gone in the shop. He sighed. “Listen, we'll talk at dinner but you should go. For now, at least.” He looked at the ceiling, waiting for her to leave, but instead she hugged him. Inu, being unused to such bold behavior, brought his hand swiftly forward, slapping her.
Ina heard the smacking sound and looked at Inu over the rack. She saw that he had slapped her upper-classman and grinned, ducking down before she looked in her direction. The girl glared daggers at Inu. “You'll pay for that…” She stalked away. Ina peered at the scene once more over the shelves. “Is it safe to come out?” She asked when she heard the door close. Inu watched out the window for a moment and waited until the girl was in a car before nodding to Ina, who walked over to him and hugged him tightly.

What Inu didn't know was that the girl had seen Ina. Furious with Ina, the girl dialed a number on her cell phone. “Hello, Kagura?”
“What is it, Kikyo?”
“I need you to do something. Do you know that smart girl, Ina Taisho?”
“Yes.”
“I need you to…” The music was turned on at that time and nobody could hear Kikyo's conversation with Kagura anymore.

Ina yawned and walked into her home. She had noticed that her father's car was in the driveway, which was normal for when she arrived late. She looked in the kitchen for something to eat and heard a deep voice ask, “Where were you?”
“I was with Inu-Papa.”
“Hn.” She looked at her father, who was leaning on a wall. He was a heartthrob, if Ina had to be honest. His silver hair hung loose over his shoulders and his amber eyes were cold, devoid of emotion. Of course, the only emotions Ina had ever seen in his eyes were annoyance, hatred, and anger. His suit was unwrinkled, despite the fact that he had worn it all day, and everything about him was perfect. Ina smiled at him warmly. “I assume you need me to attend a meeting with you tomorrow, since you came down to converse with me?”
“That is correct,” her father informed. “And you will call me `Taisho-San', `Sir', or `Chichi-ue' but not `Dad', `Fluffy', or `Sesshy', as you tend to call me. Understood?”
“Hai, Taisho-San.” Her father, Sesshomaru, walked upstairs to his room. Ina knew better than to disturb him now. She sighed and shut the refrigerator door.

Kagura waited outside of the school for Kikyo. She was already informed on the `revenge' tactic and knew her part in the whole thing. She yawned just as Kikyo pulled up. Kikyou got out of her car as a limo pulled up. Ina emerged from it and bent inside of the window to say, “I'll be right back.” She walked into the building. Sesshomaru waited in the car, gazing out of the tinted window as Kagura and Kikyo followed her. Something tells me that something's going to happen in that building…
~*~*~*~
Ina quickly made it around the school to her classes. She had gathered her work from the day and was now heading back to the main entrance quickly. With a sigh, she passed a bathroom, where she was pulled in by her shirt. She spun around to see who had pulled her but was met with a slap of a hand. Having never been harmed before, the pain shocked her. She slashed as wildly as she could, exposing that she was a demon. Kikyo and Kagura pinned her against the wall until a cold voice said in a commanding tone, “Release her.” Ina whimpered at the tone. She knew Sesshomaru was disappointed…
Kikyo and Kagura slapped Ina again - a brutal way of saying `no' to him. He walked over to them into the bathroom and bared his fangs and claws, eyes bleeding red. Kikyo stood her ground while Kagura was scared. Kagura fled, leaving Kikyo on her own. Kikyo started to use purification power on Ina, burning the flesh terribly. Ina cried out in pain. Sesshomaru, at this point, knocked Kikyo away and picked up Ina before fleeing out the window.
Sesshomaru sighed as he pulled Ina into the car. Ina trembled in his lap, frightened and whimpering. Sesshomaru could easily blame himself, having never been around to teach her how to fight. He held her close, deciding to only show affection to her at this one moment. He felt her stiffen, then relax into him. He realized that they would be late and said quietly, “I want you to act as though nothing has happened. You can visit `Inu-Papa' afterwards.”
Ina whimpered and nodded, snuggling into Sesshomaru and quelling her sobbing. She rubbed her eyes and soon it was as if she was never upset. Sesshomaru held back a smile as they pulled up to his office building. He waited for his chauffer, Jaken, to open the door before slipping out and offering his hand to help Ina out. Ina was soon marveling at the large office building discreetly. Normally, the meetings she attended took place in a different CEO's building, but this was actually TaishoCorp.
Sesshomaru led to the conference room and sat at the head of the table, Ina on his right-hand side since she was to inherit the company. She knew the layout by now. This was a meeting to introduce her since she would be taking over the company on her next birthday. She looked at all of the men, hiding how much they intimidated her since she herself was intimidating them. The fact that Sesshomaru had a daughter that was taking over the company…Was amazing.
Ina nodded politely. “Good morning, Gentlemen,” she greeted. She was all about manners, actually. It was strange that a demon would care so much but…Oh well. She heard the dull reply of “good morning” from everyone. She waited for the meeting to begin. Sesshomaru rose from his seat. “As some of you well know, this is my daughter, Ina Taisho. She is to inherit my company. Are there any questions?”
“When will she gain leadership?” A wolf demon asked. Ina recognized him as Shitou Wolfe. Sesshomaru glanced at him. “In one week.”
“I see.”
Ina was well warned of this. She was to go over paperwork for the inheritance of the company. Sesshomaru sat down again. “Are there any disagreements as to why she should inherit my company?”
“It's a female…”
A/N: So, what do you think? I think it's good, personally. But, anyway, at least it ain't Yaoi. So, I hope you liked it. And also, give me feedback. What do you think I should improve on? What should I add in? Are there any things you'd like to see evolve from this? Just so you know, I have to pay attention to Mr. Gannon now because he's going over a test. I'll talk at you all later!
