InuYasha Fan Fiction ❯ Love Unveiled ❯ The Date, then Confessions ( Chapter 3 )
First off, I would like to thank Inu lover for reviewing my story, Muchos Gracias compadre!
Kagome walked down towards the lobby. The scene in the room still fresh in her head. `The way he looked at me, he was different, affectionate,' so lost in her thought, she had almost walked head-on into the staircase door. Kagome snapped her attention back to reality and opened the stair door.
Meanwhile, back in the hotel room, Inuyasha had tied the two boys in the curtains, again. "Come on, let us go, Inuyasha!" pleaded Lorimir. Inuyasha smiled. "I'll let you go, but you have to help me with something." The two boys looked at each other, confused. "What do you want us to do?" asked Miroku. Inuyasha looked around the room to see if anyone else was there. When he was sure they were alone, he untied the two boys. "Alright," started Inuyasha. "Here's what I need you two to do." Inuyasha blushed a little. "I need you… to get everyone away so I can be alone with Kagome." The two boys stared for a second, and then broke out in hysterics. "Ooooh, do you want to get a little kiss?" laughed Lorimir. "Go get your best suit on, Inuyasha!" sniggered Miroku. They both regretted this in an instant, when they saw a chair coming down upon their heads. "Okay, okay! We'll do it!" muttered Lorimir. "Just don't hit us again!" "Good," sighed Inuyasha. "Thanks guys!" with that, Inuyasha ran out of the room. Inuyasha was glad to be a demon. `Thank you demon nose!' thought Inuyasha as he tracked the familiar scent of Kagome up the staircase, to the roof. Inuyasha stopped at the doorway when he saw Kagome looking out at the surrounding forest. Inuyasha walked over to Kagome and put his hand on her shoulder. "Kagome, what's a matter?" asked Inuyasha "Oh, nothing." Sighed Kagome. Inuyasha turned Kagome to face him. "Kagome, what's wrong?" asked Inuyasha again. Kagome blushed. "I just got embarrassed, that's all." Now it was Inuyasha's turn to blush. "Uh, Kagome." "Yes?" Inuyasha turned bright red. "I was just wondering if… you might be interested in… uh… dinner with me?" Kagome was caught in a mix of shock and happiness. "Oh, Inuyasha!" exclaimed Kagome. "I would love to have dinner with you!" Kagome ran over to Inuyasha and hugged him. It took him a second, but Inuyasha recovered from the unusual stun of success and hugged Kagome back. "So, Inuyasha," asked Kagome pulling away from the hug. "Where are we going?" Inuyasha smiled. "Hop on my back and find out." Kagome climbed up onto Inuyasha's back. Inuyasha jumped off the side of the building and bounded into the woods.
At the hotel, Sango was giving the boys a hard time. "Why do you guys want to go out to dinner so much, and without Kagome and Inuyasha?" "I told you," started Miroku. "Inuyasha is out again and Kagome is browsing around the stores." Lorimir smiled. "Besides, I'm hungry!" Sango sighed. "Oh, alright." The boys forced her out of the hotel and followed behind. "That was close." Whispered Lorimir. "Tell me about it." Answered Miroku. The four companions walked out of the hotel without another thought.
Back in the forest, Kagome was confused. "Inuyasha, where are you t… oh my god!" in front of her was a picnic, lit only by the moon and the flickering candles. "Inuyasha, did you do this?" Inuyasha blushed. "Yeah, I know it's not much, but I…" Kagome stopped him. "It's beautiful." She lightly kissed him on the cheek. Inuyasha blushed. "Um, you wanna sit down?" Kagome nodded and took a seat on the blanket. Inuyasha sat right next to her. Inuyasha reached into the picnic basket and pulled out some tarts, steak and Saki. "Wow Inuyasha," exclaimed Kagome, "That is quite a dinner." "I spent most of my money on it, but it was worth it." Sighed Inuyasha. It was then that Kagome realized that Inuyasha was looking at her. The two started to eat. The dinner was overall smooth. The two laughed and talked about adventures they had shared. When dinner was over, Kagome and Inuyasha got up. "Inuyasha, I had a good time." Inuyasha smiled. "I did to, Kagome." Kagome was about to leave, when Inuyasha remembered what the man had said, "Get her alone and tell her how you feel…" "Kagome wait!" yelled Inuyasha. Kagome turned around to see Inuyasha running towards her. "I need to tell you something." "What is it Inuyasha?" Inuyasha hesitated for a minute before continuing. "I wanted to tell you how… how I feel about you." Kagome froze. `What does that mean?' thought Kagome. `Does he not like me?' Inuyasha pulled Kagome close to him. "I wanted to tell you… that I love you Kagome." Inuyasha kissed Kagome lightly on the lips. Kagome wrapped her arms around him to further deepen the kiss. When the two finally broke for air, Kagome was overwhelmed with Happiness. "Oh, Inuyasha, you don't know how long I have waited to hear you say that! I love you too!" the couple kissed again. "Kagome, there was something else I wanted to ask you." Kagome looked up into Inuyasha's eyes. "Yes?" Inuyasha blushed. "I was wondering if you would consider being my mate?" Kagome looked at him with shock and happiness in her eyes. "Oh, Yes Inuyasha, I would love to be your mate!" Inuyasha jumped higher than he had ever jumped before. "Oh Kagome, you've made me the happiest man alive!" Inuyasha hugged Kagome. "Come on; let's go back to the hotel!" Kagome hopped on Inuyasha and they both bounded off towards the hotel.
