Chap 1

Kagome lay silently in her bed, sleeping lightly, her chest rising and falling with each breathe. "Kagome, are you up?" Sango asked, poking the girl lightly in the stomach.

"Hmm . . . yeah" she muttered her answer, before getting up and rubbing the sleep out of her eyes. "What do you want?" she asked, looking at Sango waiting for an answer.

"Well, I was wondering. Do you want to go to the bar tonight?"
"The bar" she asked blankly. "Why?"
"Today's my birthday, and Miroku asked me out, but I also wanted to spend my day with you too." Sango answered. "So will you?"

Kagome looked thoughtfully at her best friend. "Sure, I'll go" she answered smiling. "Just don't try to set me up with another guy, the last one sucked" Kagome laughed.

"Yeah, I guess Hojo was a loser" Sango laughed. "But he seemed like the kind of guy you'd go for" she stated.

"I guess he did, but he was sort of boring" Kagome responded dryly. "He only talks about wanting to be a doctor, considering he knows what to buy for all sorts of illnesses"

"Dr. Hojo . . . I like it, only I wouldn't go to him for medical advice!" Sango laughed, patting Kagome on the back. "Though Kagome, I have one more guy I want you to meet"

"And who's that?" Kagome asked. 'Might as well try one more of Sango's nutty guys'

"His names Inuyasha, he's a friend of Miroku's" Sango answered. "He's really cute, and since you don't seem to go for any guys that are polite, and he's trying to get over Kikyo, maybe you can try him, and him try you" she suggested.

"Is Inuyasha his real name?" She asked.
"Yeah, that's what I said too"
"It's a cool name" Kagome smiled. "I think I'll give him a try, it can't be that bad."

Sango smiled. "Kagome you'll regret those words"
"Why is he nutty too?"
"Oh no, he's cute, has a great ass, but he has an ill temper"
"Has he tried Anger Management ?"

Sango tried to smile. "Well he did . . . a couple of times"
"And he still has a bad temper?"
"Well he's good for some points, he only got in the class, because he kept threatening any guy that touched Kikyo or even dared to look at her, so she dumped him for some guy named Naraku" Sango answered shrugging.

"Wow, she dumped him because he loved her as much as to threaten any guy that looked and touched her . . . touchy isn't he?" Kagome asked, sitting up.

"Yeah, but he's good now, I think it was just Kikyo that made him seem that way, actually his temper has gone down to average mine"
"Really?"
"Uh huh"
"That Kikyo must be a bitch"

Sango giggled. "Yep, she sure is . . . she's a slut too"
"Wow, two in one . . . I guess that makes her a whore too, huh?"
"Guess so"
"And he still loved her . . . that guy must be blind. You sure I'll like him?"

"Of course . . . well you might find a fight or two; you should see what he does to Miroku for-"
"Let me guess - being perverted?"
"Gee, Kagome. Are you getting psychic lessons?"
"Nope, it's just the fact that I know him as well as I do" Kagome smiled. "Are you still dating him?"

"Yeah, unfortunately he's still my one and only" Sango sighed. "I still love him"
"You're lucky you found someone so early in your life"
"I guess so . . . but don't worry Kagome you'll find your soul mate, I bet he'll be Inuyasha, he's really loyal I bet you'll like him"

Kagome sighed. "You really think so?"

Sango reached and patted Kagome's cheek. "I know so"
Kagome smiled. 'I'm so lucky to have a friend like Sango' she thought happily.

"Get out of my room, Miroku!" Inuyasha shouted, throwing his pillow at the young man standing at the door.

"Inuyasha, calm down, I just wanted to ask you if you wanted to go to the bar tonight?"
"Why?"
"It's Sango's birthday, and she wanted one of her friends to meet you"

Inuyasha glared at the boy. "Tell her I'm sick! I'm not meeting any fricken' girl!" he shouted, turning to look out the window.
"Inuyasha, I know Kikyo hurt you, but Sango guaranteed me that this girl has a heart of pure gold"
"Than I don't deserve her"
"Come on, she's really pretty, and has a great voice, and big-"

Inuyasha knocked him upside the head before he could finish his sentence . "Stop being perverted Miroku!" he growled.
"Inuyasha, I was going to say 'big' blue eyes"
"Yeah sure you were"
Miroku frowned. "What kind of friend doesn't believe the other?"

Inuyasha smiled. "One that knows the other one is lying."
"Inuyasha, I have a joke for you"
"What is it?"

Miroku smirked. "What did the squirrel say when he looked up a girls dress?"
Inuyasha turned around. "What?"
"Big bush, no nuts"
The boys doubled up in laughter, as Miroku finished the perverted joke.

"Not bad Miroku" Inuyasha complemented Miroku's joke. "When you get that one?"
"Last week, when I was thinking about squirrels and the opposite sex" Miroku shrugged.

"So you are you going to come?" Miroku asked.
"Might as well give her a try, but if I don't like her-"
"Give her one of your famous kisses-she'll be drooling all over you"
"If she does I'll-"

"Give her another kiss, until it turns into a make-out session between to utterly lovers." Miroku shrugged as he caught Inuyasha's glare. "I might as well dream of you two kissing"

"We won't kiss ! " Inuyasha spat.
"That's what you did to Kikyo-"
"She kissed me first!"
"And you just let her do it?"

Inuyasha gulped. "I was too shocked to move away from her . . ."
Miroku sighed. "Inuyasha, accept it Kikyo is a bitch a slut and a whore"
"No she isn't!"
"Inuyasha, she kept flirting with every guy that walked past her . " Miroku let out a sigh. "Besides she cheated on you with Naraku"

Inuyasha stared at the ground. Kikyo had cheated on him with Naraku, and flirted with every guy that walked past her-it was true, but he was blind when he was in love, he'd never notice anything else besides the affection the one he loved gave him. He was weak-but nothing like that would ever happen again.

"I said I'd try her, be happy with it" Inuyasha grounded out.
"Clean your house; we're coming here to get refreshed"
"What?!"
"If you want, I'll come over at lunch to help you" Miroku volunteered.

Inuyash a smiled. "Thanks buddy, what would I do with out you?"
"You'd be out in the streets dressed in rags, and maybe if the girls were lucky they'd catch you bathing in the river" Miroku thought.
Inuyasha smacked Miroku for the second time that day. "I'm wouldn't be as stupid as to take a bath in the river-I'd go to Sango's-"
"Or your brother's or your parents."

"Oh crap!"
"What?"
"My parents are coming to visit!"
"Does that mean we have to go to Sango's and grab all your stuff from her attic?" Miroku asked dreadfully.

Inuyasha smiled. "I hope you don't mind helping me"
"Of course not, but we'll need an extra vehicle to get all the furniture here on time"
"Does this girl have a truck?"
"I think she does"
"We'll use that"

"You're asking right?" Miroku asked, shuffling to the door.
"Yeah, oh yeah-what's her name?"
"Kagome Higurashi" he answered.
"Okay, that's a song isn't it?"

Miroku smiled. "You sing it when you were small?"
"Yeah, at prep school"
"Hmm . . . well bye!"
"Bye . . . I'll see you at lunch!"

The door shut and Inuyasha was back in bed, sleeping . . . of all things he could have done.
