Summary: Kagome is the heiress of Higurashi Corp, one of Tokyo’s top businesses. At twenty-two, she lives a sort of double life; powerful business woman by day, professional drifter by night. She never mixed the two together, opting to keep profession separate from past time. But when someone new enters both parts of her life, her world gets a little confusing. But as always she never gives up and does whet she does best; making the most of her life.
Disclaimer: Inuyasha is the prodigious creation of Rumiko Takahashi. I do not own him in any way nor gain any benefit except for a vague feeling of satisfaction. However, this story, its plot, and any original characters belong to me.
A/N: Please bare with me. I started this fic a long time ago and I was kind of immature and not so great back then. But as soon as we get into the double digit chapters, I promise you it will be much better. I currently have seventeen chapters complete, but I will only post a few at a time, and only if I get reviews!

“Kagome Higurashi get your butt in here NOW!!”
The sharp voice of Akira Higurashi, President of Higurashi Corp., boomed throughout the entire top floor. Meanwhile, in an office a couple doors down; a raven-haired, blue-eyed woman closed her laptop with a sigh. Fixing her black skirt and adjusting her white silk blouse, she exited the room and headed towards the offending voice. Arriving at the open door of his office, she paused to shut the door behind her before walking up to his desk.
“Yes father?”
“Kagome, where is that analysis I asked for this morning?! You cannot shirk your responsibilities; you will one day become the president of this company. I want you to take this seriously.”
“Daddy,” she began as she lifted a portfolio from his desk, “it’s right here, I placed it on your desk four hours ago before I took my lunch break.”
“Oh.” He grinned sheepishly as she laughed softly. “Very sorry dear, you must excuse this old man.”
“Oh hush daddy, you’re not old.”
“Ah, if only your words were true!” At this they both laughed. Kagome sat in a chair as he read through the portfolio. Satisfied with its contents, he placed it back on his desk. “Will you and Sango be racing this weekend?”
“Mmhm, if it’s okay with you,” she responded while leafing trough a pile of documents.
“Kagome, you may be my daughter, but you are twenty-two, that’s old enough to do things without my permission.”
“I know daddy.” She giggled. They chatted awhile before she left for her office.
Alone in his office again, Akira’s thoughts strayed to his daughter Kagome, and his adoptive daughter, Sango. He didn’t exactly love their weekend car racing, but he felt that they shouldn’t be deprived of their passion and hobby. And it was only fitting for them to have such a wild past-time, it made up for their wasted years in high school. He sighed. Kagome, being his eldest and first-born, was heir to the Higurashi Corp. She and Sango would one day take over the company, and he had prepared them for it early. Very early. When the girls had entered high school, he’d pulled some strings and got them to take college courses in business at Tokyo U. after school each day. It had been a hectic four years for them. Each day consisted of going to school, running to the university, doing homework, eating, and sleeping. They’d barely had any time for a real social life, but never had they complained once. Of course, they’d make friends, but it was a miracle that they saw them often enough to maintain their friendships. His daughters had attracted a lot of male friends as well, for gorgeous daughters he had! But Kagome and Sango were dedicated and level-headed and declined from any potential romantic relationships, saving their father from trouble he didn’t want to put up with.
He wondered what he’d done to be blessed with such daughters. He laughed to himself as he packed to leave. Passing by Kagome’s office, he found her talking on her phone, probably scheduling a meeting. Waving et her, he watched as she shifted the phone to wave back. Chuckling, he walked next door to Sango’s office, finding the girl typing furiously on her laptop.
“All. . .Most. . Done. . .There!” She looked up and blinked at the laughing figure that was her father.
“Hi dad. What’s so funny?”
“Nothing dear, nothing. I’m heading home, what about you and Kagome?”
“Not yet, we have to brief Asuka and Aiji in fifteen. It’ll be quick though. We’ll be home in a bit.”
“Alright, goodbye then.”
“Bye dad.”

Almost an hour later, Kagome and Sango left the conference room, hugging Asuka and Aiji and saying goodbye.
Sinking into the seats of Kagome’s black Jaguar, they sighed simultaneously. “Tired?” Asked the blue-eyed girl.
“Yep,” replied the brown-eyed girl.
“Tonight is Friday. .so that means tonight is. . .”
“THE RACE! YESS!!” Kagome laughed at her sister’s antics.
“Hell yeah. So, you tired?” She asked again, raising a brow as she started the car and pulled out of the parking garage.
“NOPE!!” The girls laughed as they continued on their way home.

-Friday, Late Afternoon, Main Residence of Higurashi Abode-
“We’re ho-o-o-ome!!” Two voices called out as Kagome shut the door behind them. Sango kicked off her heels and relished the thud it produced when it made contact with the wall.
“We’re in the dining room, come join us for dinner!” The voice of their mother drifted to them, along with the delicious aroma of dinner. Running up the grand entrance stairs to the dining room they took their seats at the table. They sat next to each other, across their own respective brother; Souta and Kohaku. Their parents sat on either end of the table. Souta was Kagome’s little brother, Kohaku Sango’s. Both adopted children had retained their last name, Taijiya.
As they meal ended and the girls were readying to leave and go back to the west wing, their father spoke up.
“Girls, don’t forget the big meeting with Takahashi Corp. on Monday. No races Sunday night.”
“Alright, dad.” Both girls replied in unison. Mama Higurashi giggled.
“Then maybe you two can join us again for dinner Sunday evening, it isn’t often you come back home to eat.”
“But Mama, we live just a thousand yards away. And that’s not much, considering it’s only yards.” Sango protested. But their mother just laughed and shooed them off.
“You two will be late to your races if you don’t get going now. Goodbye, my dears.”
“Bye Sis. Bye Sango.”
“See you later, sis. Bye Kags.”
“Goodbye, you two.” The girls said their farewells and left for the Western Wing where they resided.

A/N: The Higurashi Residence is a large plot of land that has three buildings. The center building is considered the Main Residence, where Mr. & Mrs. Higurashi, Souta, and Kohaku live. It is flanked by the other two buildings, called the East and West wings. Both wings are about a thousand or so yards away from the Main Residence, (that’s about five thousand or so feet.) and are connected to it with covered terraces. (Imagine Japanese architecture.) Both the East & West Wings have five bedrooms, each with its own bath upstairs. Downstairs consists of a kitchen, dining room, living room, laundry room, bathroom, and two, small spare rooms. And a garage! ;] Main residence is pretty much the same, just more stuff. The girls live in the West Wing and the East Wing is usually used for visitors who might stay for longer-than-usual visits.
The Higurashi’s sound rich right? Well, they are! They’re practically billionaires, so don’t mind if things seem a little extravagant. Higurashi-sama didn’t work hard for nothing!!
And now back to our girls. x]

Kagome sighed contentedly as she shut her hairdryer off and brushed the now dry locks. She scanned the contents of her closet before pulling on a black mini skirt and a skintight black satin halter top that ended just below her breasts. Silver threaded stars were scattered about the top, catching the light as she moved. She buckled on a loose silver belt that hung on the curve of one hip and just below the other; making it look like a diagonal of silver across her hips. Strapping on black heels, she headed to Sango’s room.
She found Sango standing in front of her full-length mirror, dressed in tight black Bermudas and a strapless top that resembled a corset; held together by a simple, silver satin ribbon. Black heels similar to Kagome’s adorned her feet. They nodded at their reflections. Before their racing careers started, both were normally not the type to wear such revealing clothing; but to make it in the racing business, you had to get yourself noticed.
They sat at Sango’s vanity, chattering away as Sango pulled out four rolls of plain white bandages. They took turns wrapping each other’s forearms, then put on the finishing touches of make up. They grinned at each other and made their way downstairs to the garage. Upon reaching Kagome’s black Jaguar, Sango took the keys.
“I’ll drive Kags; you drove my car last time.”
“Okay, just let me call Shippo before we go.” Sango nodded and sat in the car as Kagome whipped out her cell phone and dialed for Shippo. The seventeen year old had inherited Fox Fire, where all the hottest drifting and bike races took place in the eastern lands. Shippo had been adopted into the Higurashi family when he was five; when his parents had been killed. At age 15, he’d moved out and into an apartment on the Fox Fire Property, taking over the business as well. After three rings, the fox-Youkai picked up.
Yo.
“Shippo! It’s Kagome.”
Oh hey Kags. You guys gonna race tonight?
“Yeah, how’s the crowd?”
Real big tonight. They’re real pumped too.
“That’s good. If you don’t mind, can you put Asuka or Aiji on the line?”
Hold on a sec.
“Kay.”
Hello?
“Asuka! Hey babe!” Asuka giggled.
Hey Sexy. Sup?
“How’re my babies?”
The cars are fine, me and Aiji are inspecting the bikes right now.
“Okay, we’ll be there in twenty.”
See you then. Bye.
“Bye.” Kagome hung up and slipped into the passenger seat. The two sisters grinned at each other as they took off into the night.
