Kagome sighed, they had been moving on the look for Naraku since daylight. She checked her solar power watch and saw that it was almost 2:46PM. Daylight started at 6:30AM. She tapped on InuYasha's shoulder and immediately regretted it when he turned around.

 

“No Kagome.”

 

“But InuYasha!! Come on we have been moving since morning I'm tired and if not for me then for Sango remember her feet are probably killing her.”

 

InuYasha sighed, stopped and turned around, when he did that Kagome knew that he was about to blow his top but she didn't care since she had taken off his necklace after something….happened. All she had to do was say his name and it was simple.

 

“Kagome we are not STOPPING!! I HAVE TOLD YOU FOR TH”

 

“InuYasha…”

 

InuYasha saw her questioning glance and then sighed and turned around then put his hand's in his sleeves and continued walking. Kagome sighed, she knew that she never won the argument or never got to sit down if she wanted but she did stop him from ranting and raving. And to think that it all started with that fateful day… It changed it all. She has since then hated that day.

 

Kagome felt a lump drop in her throat and a lone tear ran down her cheek. She put her hand's on her raised stomach while the only thought in her head was, 5 month's. Almost past her due date if not past it so why, how?!?!

 

InuYasha came up behind her and hugged her while him himself felt a heavy strain of tear's weigh on his eyes but he wouldn't let them fall. Not for this, he had to be strong for Kagome. She pushed him away, she probably shouldn't have but she did. That's probably what caused some of the trouble, her thinking that it didn't effect him because it was also…. No she didn't even want to think about it. She ran out of Kaede's hut and to the place that started it all. She touched the soft patch of grass where she had laid when she got the news and where they….

 

InuYasha came running up and murmured her name softly and she completely snapped.

 

“DON'T TALK TO ME!! I WAS HAPPY AND I WAS- I THOUGHT THAT WE WERE GOOD AND THEN YOU- no, no it was me….IT WAS ME WASN'T IT!!! I WASN'T STRONG ENOUGH TO CARRY HER….WAS I?!?! I THOUGHT I WAS GONNA BE A mother!!! SO MANY TEST'S SAID I COULDN'T AND THEN WE….YOU MADE HER, we made her and now she- she- sh-sh-sss!!!”

 

Kagome collapsed right there and luckily InuYasha was there to catch her as she fell. She was gone that day, not only was Kagome herself gone but SHE was gone….Their baby was gone..there little girl was gone….

 

 

Kagome stopped walking and soon everybody had stopped walking and looked at her. Images of the night's that they used to share together came flooding back into her head and she couldn't take it anymore. Kagome sniffled giving everyone a faire chance to know that Kagome was crying and then she ran off into the woods. Sango and Miroku sighed and then took shade under the big tree there while InuYasha ran after Kagome.

 

InuYasha sighed and then ran to where Kagome was running until he saw her shaking form under a tree and stopped and knelt in front of her then took her hand's from her face to see swollen red eyes and a trembling chin biting her lip.

 

“Still thinking about her??”

 

InuYasha asked and that was all he said before Kagome lunged herself at him and started shaking harder then before. InuYasha was knocked from his squatting position to his butt as Kagome used him a shoulder to cry on.

 

“She was gonna be so beautiful InuYasha, she was she was gonna be so beautiful and she was supposed to be like you and like me. I only wanted her to survive. She was gonna be so beautiful, like her father…”

 

“Like her mother…”

 

Kagome started shaking harder and grabbed onto his shirt tighter, she refused to eat, sleep or think about InuYasha after she miscarried and there was a strong feeling that she might have died if InuYasha didn't snap her back into reality.

InuYasha sucked in a breath and held back tears. He did want to meet his daughter in the flesh and he did see her on the picture's that the doctor did of Kagome's stomach but he wanted to see her.

 

“Don't worry, like I said we could try again but you said friend's is enough…”

 

Kagome cried in his chest, she never really replied to what he said because she knew he it was true. She was the one who said that she wanted to be friend's before anything else, they were lover's, used to be lover's and now it was as if nothing had happened, he was pretty upset though because he had given her his virginity and she had given him his in return. He looked up at the sky and made a silent vow, never to be told, only to stay in his memory.

 

That night the only thing that Kagome wrote in her diary was this:

 

Dear Diary

 

My life is ending.
