I looked into those eyes, those.. loving eyes. So full of hate and pain. All because of me. I.. couldn't take it. I ran, leaving him there glaring after me.

'He won't just stand there forever...as soon as he comes to his senses, he'll come after me.'

It had been a long week, full of battles...death. I blinked back the tears as I ran.

'She died because of me...no other is to blame. It is my fault.'

Kagome died in the battle the day before. I was there, but...I dont remember it. My mind was so blank... All I can remember is her screams for help and an evil laugh. I shuddered. That laugh...was so terrifying.

'The look Inuyasha gave me after I woke up...He couldn't believe I had been so close to her and I did nothing...'

I stopped and looked behind me. He was coming. His celerity.. unbelievable. His rage was making him faster. His smell was suddenly mind-numbingly horrifying. I froze, unable to breathe, move, or do anything.

'He hates Me..'

I sank down to the damp, leafy ground.

' His hate...it's so strong. How could I have done this to him?'

I looked up as he stood before me, tears running down my cheeks. My breathless whisper echoed through the trees, "Inuyasha......"
