Inuyasha stood staring blankly outside the door to the office, his back pressed up against the cool metal door. The people who passed assumed he was trying to listen in on the conversation inside, but really he was having his usual inner conversations.

Obviously they didn't need counseling, sure one could be a bastard and the other a pushover, but they had never caused any trouble, except for that ONE outburst in the grocery store. Kaede just didn't like having them around, they were a burden.

Maybe he should stay at this place. $900 a month and and a hundred dollars an hour might be a lot, but for a place like this, it was probably closer to a sympathetic discount.

Sighing he looked around at the nearly empty hallway, wondering just how long it will take before they were done.

A scream filled the cavernous hallways and his head snapped to the right were a girl just spun around the corner. The girl was running wildly and screaming nonstop. Several people, most likely doctors or assistants, were chasing her, telling her to calm down. The desk clerk heard all this and looked up to see the girl running past his desk. In an instant, he had tackled her and pinned her to the tile floor. She screamed harder and struggled to be free.

"Let go of me you Ogre, you'll not have my flesh for lunch! She screamed and thrashed out at him, how surprising when she felt him being thrown off.
She lifted her gaze to see a silver haired worrier standing over her, she looked around for the horrible ogre, he was tossed against a tree. She smiled up at her rescuer, tears streaming down her face; suddenly she lunged at him, enveloping him in her warm embrace.
Inuyasha stared down at the girl hugging him and then over to the desk clerk now trying to stand up but couldn't get over the shock of getting thrown into a chair. He looked over to the other people with a questioning look and they just shrugged their shoulders.
“Um…maybe you should take her back to her room.” said one of the doctors. “She'll just scream if one of us does it.” He gave him the room number and some directions and they all walked away. The desk clerk just snorted and went back to his work, a little angry that he was tossed aside so easily.
“Um, hey.” He patted the girls back, trying to get her attention.

“Thank you.” she said.

“Um…why were you running?” He asked.

She blinked up at him, thick pale lids closing over to hide sparkling blue eyes before revealing them again. “I'm sorry.” She said, stepping back. “I lost control again.” She walked away a bit looking around. “Sometimes I forget when it's real and when it's a dream.”

Inuyasha blinked at her, wondering just what the hell was wrong with this girl, when he remembered he was in a place just one step away from the nuthouse.

“Maybe I should take you back to your room.” He volunteered.

“Yeah…” She turned back to him. “That would probably be for the best.
