The Story that was never Told

The Inuyasha gang traveled on in the pooring rain. The dim light made it hard to see the road and Kagome was freezing. Inuyasha and the others seemed fine. Thought they seemed a little cold. The overcast sky feel apon them and just as quickly as the rain started the rain stoped. The sun came out and shinned on a village just below. Suddenly children and a women steped out into the sunshine.

"We can ask if we can stay there!" Kagome said and sneezed.

"Oh no, you caught a cold." Inuyasha said "We better get you near a fire."

Miroku stoped, "Uh lets go on just a little more before we stop. I know of a village just a while back and-"

"Whats the matter Miroku? They look like a friendly village. Why not stay here?" Sango said. Kirara mewed in agreement.

Mrioku looked at the town "If you wish, but I am going to move on."

"Don't be stubborn!" Shippo said "Kagome is sick and thats the closest place!" he said

"Please Miroku." Kagome sneezed.

"You know, our village always welcomes travelers." said a young women. From behind them carring a basket of herbs. Several children darted around her yelling "Will these work!?" or "How bout these?!" The women was as tall as Miroku, her voice was soft and kind. Her eyes were a soft brown and her skin was taned. Her hair was short and brown. She wore long robes, the sleves were much to big and she was very thin. She smiled sweetly. A silver braclet dangled around her wirst.

Miroku stared at the braclet then the woman. "That won't be needed, I-I'm moving on."

"Oh, well your welcome to stay anytime you like." she smiled. She walked down to the villiage and the children smiled and waved at the group, even though they looked like an odd group it didn't change the childrens moods.

"What was that about?!" Inuyasha yelled, "I'm taking Kagome to rest down in that village, got that!" he yelled and took Kagome down after the woman.

"Miroku, whats going on, your acting strange. Is something bothering you?" Sango asked.

"Yes, this place has a huge chunk of my past." he sighed, "I can't stay here." he said.

"Well, why not all of your past fears will be put aside." Sango said "Come on, just for a little while. For Kagome." she said.

Miroku sighed, "Alright just for a little while." he said as they followed Inuyasha.

"Preistess!" Inuyasha yelled.

The woman turned "Yes?" she said.

"We need a place to say, and some medicen for a cold." Inuyasha said.

"Yes please." Kagome sneezed.

The woman smiled "Of course." she handed a child the basket and they ran off with it. "Follow me and I'll show you the guest house." she walked a ways and showed them the guest house.

It was very nice, it looked almost fit for royalty."We don't get very many visitors, so when we do, we treat them with all respect."

"Your village must be really rich to own stuff like this." Inuyasha said.

"What a pretty braclet." Kagome said.

"Yes, we get on rather well. There are deamons that cause trouble and we destroy them and use the remains for armor and sell other things." she looked at Kagome and smiled. "Yes. This braclet is from a friend of mine. A monk whom I loved very much. He left, to destroy a deamon and told me to move to this village and waite for him. Yet he hasn't come back. I have gotten word, that he is dead." she sighed. But the smiled quickly returned to her face.

"Wait, whats your name?" Inuyasha asked.

"Lady Rico! Lady Rico!" A little girl yelled "Come here! Hurry!! Margto scraped his knee!"

"I'll be there in a minute." Rico said smiling "I am Preistess Rico Markome." she said and bowed. The little girl dragged her off.

"Hum, intresting last name Markome." Inuyasha said "Ah! I new that last name was firmilar, I new a Markome before I was bounded to a tree. She was a healer in a village near ours." he said.

Kagome sneezed "Really?" she said "I wounder who gave he that braclet its beautiful." she said.

"Its hand crafted no doubt it was made by a monk. She must really like it," Inuyasha said.

Rico returned "Here drink this it should help your cold." she handed Kagome some kind of liquid.

The little girl next to her smiled "I picked the herbs myself."

"Yes you did little one, now go help the others find more alright." she smiled as the child ran off.

"Are you realated to Kiria Markome?" Inuyasha asked

"Why yes I am, but she passed nearly 50 years ago, after helping a young preistess and a half deamon, by the name of.....Inuyasha I believe." she said

"Well, I'm Inuyasha and this is Kagome." he grinned.

"Well, Its a pleasure to meet such a fine lady and a wounderful half deamon. All races are welcome here as long as they don't cause trouble. Everyone is friendly here." Rico smiled.

Miroku and Sango finally came into their mist. "Sorry we were slow."

"Thats not a problem make yourself at home." she said smiling.

"Hi, I'm Sango and this is M-" Miroku covered her mouth.

"Just call me Oku thank you." he smiled.

Rico looked at him "Do I know you?" she asked him.

"No, this is my first time here." he sighed.

"Alright, enjoy your stay sir." she turned and left as she was crowded by children.

"Why didn't you tell her your real name Miroku?" Sango whispered.

"Remember when I said this place is a huge chunk of my past. She's the reason." he said.

"What Rico?" Inuyasha said

"Rico Jane Markome, I was the one who gave her that braclet."They sat in silence for a while, untill a scream broke it.
