Moonlit Dream

 

"Here we go again..." Both Miroku and Sango said together, as Kagome grabbed her back-pack and stormed out of the hut. It was the same way that she always did when Inuyasha said or did something stupid to upset her. Kaede just shook her head as she tried to count the number of times the two of them had fought that week alone. And as usual, Shippo had nothing better to do then to yell at Inuyasha for being so insensitive towards Kagome. And as always... there was Inuyasha... sitting in the corner, twitching in that oh so familiar way that he did when he knew that something more then he was willing to agree to, was expected of him by all. "INUYASHA! How could you be so stupid?"

"SHUT UP", was all that Shippo could get out of him.

"Come now Inuyasha, what did you do to Kagome this time?” The monk asked coolly.

"You didn't go see Kikyo again did you Inuyasha?"

"I said SHUT UP!"

"I knew it! You're always sneaking off to go see Kikyo while Kagome sits here all alone waiting for you to come back"

"Shippo, I'm warning you!" It was about this time that Sango chipped in on the usual harassment.

"Honestly Inuyasha... where do you get off doing this to Kagome all the time? I'm surprised she doesn't sit you more often for the way you treat her", She chided.

"Not that it's any of your business Sango... but I didn't do ANYTHING this time!"

"Ya right Inuyasha you're always..." 'WACK' "WHAAAAAAAHAAAAAAA"

"Inuyasha did warn you Shippo", Miroku said with a slight chuckle. Kaede had heard enough, it was time to bring this little spat to an end.

"Inuyasha, if ye are certain ye did nothing wrong, then might I suggest finding Kagome and trying to calm her down?"

"Why the hell should I? She started it!"

"Really Inuyasha? Ye are positive ye did nothing to upset Kagome?" Inuyasha just growled as he got up and left the hut in defeat. Miroku, Sango, Kaede and a very sore Shippo all shook their heads and sighed as they waited for the return of their two hotheaded companions, Kirara mewed in agreement.

 

Inuyasha followed Kagome's sent out to the bone eaters well, even though he had no intention of apologizing to her. "She's gonna have to apologize to me!” He yelled... as if she might hear him. "Keh, stupid Kagome..." Inuyasha kicked dirt at the well before jumping up into the bows of the Goshinboku to wait for Kagome. He really did want her to come back soon. Partly so that he wouldn't have to wait too long, but mostly because he missed her when she went back home after they fought... though he would never admit it. Inuyasha just closed his eyes and tried to relax while he waited for her. When Inuyasha opened his eyes, the sun had gone down and there was still no sign of Kagome. He jumped down from the tree and was just about to hop into the well when he caught a whiff of something that smelled so familiar. It was then that he noticed Kagome had in fact come back and her sent was fresh... but leading away from the well and in the opposite direction of the village. Curiosity got the better of him as he followed after Kagome's sent, but the further he went... the stronger that familiar smell got; he just couldn't quite place his finger on it. Kagome had gone a good ways out into the forest now and Inuyasha was about ready to call out to her, when he remembered what that smell was. It was that flowery sent that Kagome's hair always smelled of, and he couldn't get enough of it. It was different before though, like something was missing, a certain ingredient that accentuated the smell... hot water. Kagome had found a hot spring and had her body soap with her. Inuyasha smiled coyly as he crept closer to the spring.

 

When he got a little closer... he suddenly stopped. He couldn't believe what he saw. There was Kagome, sitting at the edge of the spring, dipping her toes in the warm water. He watched the reflections of the water ripples dancing across her face. She looked so beautiful; he wondered how he hadn't seen it before. Well, he always knew she was beautiful, but not like this... this was pure, innocent, beauty. Inuyasha swallowed hard as he continued to watch her. She slowly stood up, and began to pull her left arm out of her shirtsleeve, then the right... Inuyasha tried to look away but couldn't. Something deep inside him was telling him to watch her...and then up over her head. Kagome discarded her shirt behind her and then started to undo the clasp on the back of her skirt. Inuyasha couldn't believe his eyes. Was Kagome really going to do this with him there? Watching her? "Wait a second; she doesn't know I'm here." He looked again to see that she was slowly lowering her skirt until it was down around her ankles. She removed one foot, then the other and discarded it behind her like she had her shirt. Now Inuyasha couldn't help but stare. There she stood in nothing but a lacy white bra and matching panties over the waters edge. He couldn't wait to see which of the two she took off next. "FUCK... I've become the monk". Inuyasha broke his concentration on Kagome long enough to curse himself out, but forgot to stay still. All of a sudden there was a loud crack of a twig from underneath his foot. Kagome stopped and turned in the direction of the crack. Luckily Inuyasha had ducked down in time and she hadn't seen him. "Damn that was close... you're gonna get it Miroku!" Inuyasha turned to leave when he heard her call his name.

"Inuyasha…?" Inuyasha froze. Had she really seen him or was she just guessing? What should he do? He couldn't say, “Ya what do ya want?” without the risk of making her angry and sitting him, yet he couldn't let her know he was there at all or she'd sit him. "Inuyasha, I know you're there"

"Damn!" He was dreading that word, that one little word that sent him crashing face first into the ground every time. `Why hasn't she said it yet? She knows I'm here, what the hell is she waiting for?'

"Inu…yasha..." a blush started to dust Kagome's face, "What t...took you so long? Now it was Inuyasha's turn to blush. He stood up and turned around to face the practically naked girl before him with a blush so deep that it rivaled the robe he wore. "I waited at the well for you to wake up but you looked so peaceful...I didn't..."

"Kagome..."

"Inuyasha, I...I...wanted you to follow me here!"

 

Inuyasha stood gaping for a second or two, then quickly covered the gap that stood between them and embraced Kagome. Neither of them knew how long they had stayed like that, nor did they care.

"Kagome..."

"Hmmm" "...Are…are you still mad at me?”

“I don't even remember what we were fighting about to tell you the truth"

"Remember, I said that..." She placed a finger over his lips and hushed him. Kagome pulled away and started to walk back to the spring saying,

"You need to learn to take a hint Inuyasha"

"HEY", He said, grabbing her by the arm and pulling her into a kiss. Kagome had wanted that kiss for so long, but hadn't expected it. She looked up into those amber eyes and then kissed him back with such a want and need that gave Inuyasha all the encouragement he needed. He cupped her face in his hands and kissed her again and again.

"Inuyasha", she breathed. The way she said his name, that way, was enough to send him over the edge. He pulled away a little to see what she needed, when he felt her tugging at his Haori. A smile crossed his lips as he watched her undressing him. She placed her soft hands on him, smoothing over every inch of his stomach, chest, shoulders, and back with a tender kiss to every newly exposed part of his body. He ran his hands through her hair, inhaling the flowery fragrance that he loved so much, then slowly trailed his hands down the silky smooth of her back. He liked the reaction she gave him so much, that he tried it again. Kagome moaned his name as he sent shivers down her spine with every caress. It was almost too much for Inuyasha. They had barely gotten started, and already he was breathing heavy and starting to feel a tightening sensation in his lower region.

"Inuyasha", She breathed again as she buried her hands in his hair and pulled him into another passionate kiss. He wrapped an arm around her waist and made quick with the other to untie his hakamas, meanwhile backing Kagome against a rock wall that sheltered the spring. Not daring to break their kiss, Kagome brought her hands down to help Inuyasha, as he was having a bit of trouble removing his remaining piece of clothing with just one hand. She grabbed at his hakamas and loosed them from his hips, allowing them to drop to the ground. Inuyasha let out a small hiss as he felt Kagome's hands on his skin, which seemed as if to burn every place that she touched. When Kagome's back touched the rock, she lurched forward in sudden shock from the cold surface and came hip to hip with Inuyasha. Kagome gasped when she felt his hardness press against her, and then looked into those amber eyes with such a shyness complimented by such a blush, Inuyasha couldn't help but laugh at her. He ground his hip into hers as she pushed forward again from the cold stone, causing Inuyasha to moan from the pressure she had created. He held her against the wall as he removed her bra, and then traced a hand from her neck down to her breast, softly caressing her skin while rubbing a thumb against her nipple. Inuyasha trailed kisses to her other breast as he lavished the neglected nipple with his warm tongue. Not knowing what else to do, Kagome let her hands rest on the hanyou's shoulders while he continued his ministrations, until she opened her eyes and was aware of an irresistible opportunity. Kagome slowly reached a hand upwards until she felt the soft fur of Inuyasha's ear. Inuyasha gasped at how cold her hand was, but oh how good it felt against his ear. They had been such a private part of him and he had never let anyone touch them before. He growled in pleasure at the sensation. Encouraged, Kagome grabbed the other. She gently massaged each ear until she heard a rumbling coming from Inuyasha's chest. He looked up at her with love and lust in his eyes as he dropped his hands to her waist, pulling her hips to him. Inuyasha could smell a spike in her arousal as well as her heat for him escaping her core. He tore the sides of her panties, letting them fall and dipped a finger between her folds emitting a sudden gasp from Kagome. He was pleased at how wet she was. She moaned as she rubbed herself against his hand, begging him for more. Who was Inuyasha to deny her? He pumped his middle finger in and out of Kagome as he applied pressure with his thumb to her throbbing bundle of nerves just begging for his attention.

"Inu...Inuyasha...", She managed to get out as her breath was coming in erratic gasps, "aaaah...faster...please...ooooh" He could tell she was getting close, so he added another finger and complied with Kagome's request to go faster as he cupped her breast with his free hand.

"Ahhhh...so...close...don't stop...oh...ooooh...INU...YA...SHA", Kagome screamed her release as her orgasm tore threw her, causing her to shake uncontrollably. The sound of her screaming his name made him even harder. Inuyasha pressed against her and smothered her lips with his own as she sunk to the ground beneath him, taking him with her.

 

When they broke for breath, Kagome was shivering from the night air, so Inuyasha scooped her up and placed her in the hot spring. Kagome sighed heavily in the warmth of the water; when she looked up to see Inuyasha just staring at her.

"What is it Inuyasha?” She asked him. He seemed lost in a trance as he watched the water reflections on her face. "Inuyasha...?" He couldn't believe what had just happened. He had always dreamt about Kagome like this, but never thought that it could ever happen for real. Maybe this was a dream too. 'Well then, if this is a dream I'm going to make the best of it', He thought.

"Inuyasha... is everything all right?", Kagome asked again as she reached for his hand. He looked down at her to see the worry in her face. He smiled and said,

"Everything is better now Kagome. Thank you" She smiled back as he climbed into the water beside her. The moon had appeared overhead, illuminating everything in the glade, including Kagome. Her creamy skin looked so silky to the touch in the moonlit water that Inuyasha had to reach out and make certain she was really there. He pulled Kagome into a soft embrace, afraid to let her go for fear of her disappearing. When Kagome brushed up against Inuyasha in the water, he let out a groan that had Kagome thinking she had hurt him somehow. She looked down in the water and then backs up at Inuyasha with a bashful smile. She moved from Inuyasha's side only to reposition herself in front of him. He looked at her pleadingly but asked,

"Kagome... are you sure you want to do this...with me…a hanyou?"

"I have never (kiss) been more sure (kiss) about anything in my entire life Inuyasha." His heart was pounding again as Kagome lifted her self onto his lap. Inuyasha let out an intense moan when she took hold of his erection and started to stroke him gently. Inuyasha picked Kagome up and moved her to a ledge in the spring that would make it easier for the both of them. He set her down in the shallow water and leaned in to kiss her.

"Inuyasha...” she said in that breathy tone "...I want to feel you inside me...I need you now!" That was all he needed to hear. He pushed slowly inside of Kagome and the moan she let escape her lips thrilled him to no end. Inuyasha hesitated,

"Kagome..."

"I know Inuyasha, I'm ready", she reassured him that she was aware of what he needed to do. Inuyasha made one quick thrust and broke through her barrier. Kagome cried out, as Inuyasha wiped a tear from her eye and held her tight. It took everything he had to keep still, but soon enough, Kagome rocked herself against him, letting him know she was ready. Inuyasha was still a little reluctant to move so quickly when he heard Kagome whine and felt her move underneath him. Inuyasha laughed and then quickly pulled all the way out and slammed back into Kagome as hard as he could again and again and again. Every time Inuyasha pushed down on Kagome, She would push back with all she could, creating a friction that Inuyasha could never have even dreamt about. Kagome reached up to find a fuzzy ear and rubbed it with one hand while she fisted the other into Inuyasha's hair and brought him in for a kiss. Inuyasha's chest started to rumble from the soft touch of Kagome's hand. She broke loose of Inuyasha's ear and wrapped her arms around his neck while throwing her head back and closing her eyes, Inuyasha's breathing became more ragged as he continued pounding into Kagome. He looked up towards her to see her head thrown back, eyes screwed shut, and chest heaving in rhythm to his thrusting.

"Inu...yasha...faster...uhhhh...uhhhh..." Kagome felt Inuyasha tighten his grip on her waist and noticed that he was growling, but much deeper than normal. She looked at him the best she could; to see that his eyes had glazed over with a red fury, and two rigid purple lines had appeared across his cheeks. She brushed her thumb over the mark, which sent a shock through Inuyasha. He looked up at her to find her lost in pleasure once more. He huskily grunted her name, and continued to pump into Kagome with a fiery passion. He was getting closer and could tell she was close too, and wanted Kagome to find her release with him. Applying pressure with the palm of his hand over her pearl with every thrust…

"Ka...go...meeee...ahhh...ahhhhh...” Inuyasha moaned as loud as he could, getting closer and closer. Kagome brought her head back and screamed. ”Ohhh…uhhhh…uhh…uuuh…OH...KAMI...INUYASHA!" Inuyasha could feel Kagome's muscles quivering around him as he thrust as hard as he could one more time. "Ahhhh...rrrrrgh...KAGOMEEEEEE!" Both found their release as they held onto one another until the shaking in their bodies had subsided. Inuyasha nuzzled against Kagome's cheek as he wrapped his arms around her. She snuggled into Inuyasha's chest, listening to his breathing and the lapping of the water against their skin. She sighed heavily and soon fell asleep.

 

The moon had moved higher in the sky when Inuyasha noticed that Kagome was sound asleep beside him. She moaned in her sleep and uttered something muffled that he took to be his name. He smiled and brushed the wet hair out of Kagome's face; in turn she blinked and looked up to see him staring back at her. She smiled sweetly at him, rubbing her eyes, she asked,

"Inuyasha...um...what time is it?" Inuyasha kissed her lightly on the forehead and replied, “About time we headed back, you're tired and need to sleep." He climbed out of the water and turned to help Kagome out. He watched as she went to her backpack for a towel and a new set of bra and panties. Her body was wet and glistening in the moonlight as she passed the towel to him. Inuyasha had to shake his head and look away or else fall back into their recent activities. When he was done, he helped Kagome dry herself off and get dressed, then got dressed himself. Inuyasha slung her backpack over his shoulder and took Kagome's hand as they walked back in the direction of the well in silence. The Goshinboku came into view as Kagome swooned at the hanyou's side. Inuyasha scooped up the sleepy girl and took off at a run for the village.

 

The night had gone on despite earlier confrontation from Inuyasha and Kagome. Everyone had done their best to stay awake until their companions came back, but had nodded off one by one. All but Miroku were asleep, he was determined to see what had transpired between Kagome and Inuyasha that would have taken them so long to get back. 'Inuyasha's not one for talking, so they wouldn't be discussing the argument', he thought to himself. Miroku's head was starting to droop and he almost closed his eyes, when Inuyasha strolled into the hut with Kagome asleep in his arms. Inuyasha set Kagome down and quickly opened up her sleeping bag, before ushering her in under the covers, taking no notice of the monk's watchful eyes.

"Good night Inuyasha," Kagome whispered before closing her eyes and falling asleep. Inuyasha whispered back,

"Good night Kagome, and thank you" as he kissed her on the cheek before taking his place against the wall, thinking that he would much rather have Kagome in his lap than Tetsusaiga. Miroku smiled as he watched the affection Inuyasha was finally showing Kagome, and raised an eyebrow when he noticed that both Inuyasha's and Kagome's hair was slightly wet. 'Hmmm...I wonder', he thought as he fell asleep with a smirk on his face.

 

In the morning, Inuyasha awoke with the sun shining in his eyes.

"Hey you guys, why'd ya let me sleep so long?" Inuyasha looked around to find that he was all alone. Outside he found Shippo and Kirara playing with some of the village children. "Hey Shippo, where the hell is everyone?"

"Oh, good morning Inuyasha, Miroku is helping old Kaede with the garden and Sango and Kagome are down by the river doing the washing." Inuyasha watched as the kitsune continued to play with Kirara and a village girl.

"Hey...how come nobody woke me?" Shippo just looked up at Inuyasha, and shrugged before running after the hellcat and little girl. Inuyasha eventually came across Miroku and Kaede separating weeds from herbs in Kaede's garden.

"Miroku,” Inuyasha said in a demanding tone, "why the hell didn't any of you wake me up?"

"We were all advised not to disturb ye, Inuyasha", Kaede calmly stated.

"What?" Inuyasha asked more than a little confused.

"Kaede's right Inuyasha. Kagome said that she hadn't seen you sleep so well in a long time, and being as we wouldn't be traveling today, that it might be nice for you to get a good rest. Besides, you looked like you were having a good dream, so she didn't want to wake you." Miroku couldn't help but notice the change in Inuyasha's facial expression at his mention of a dream.

"Oh, well...thanks, I guess.” Inuyasha said, with disappointment clear in his voice as he walked off to find the girls.

"What is that matter with Inuyasha I wonder?" Kaede said out loud not expecting any answer, when Miroku proceeded to tell her all that he figured about what he had witnessed the previous night. Kaede just smiled, "It's about time." Inuyasha new that what had happened between him and Kagome was too good to be true, but something had told him it was real this time.

"I should have known it was just a dream...” he sighed.

 

Down by the river, Sango and Kagome were having a little girl time as they rung out the washing Kaede had given them. When they had gathered it all together, they got up to head back to the village. Sango stopped when she saw Inuyasha approaching and gave Kagome a quick tap on the shoulder to get her attention.

"See you back at the village?” Sango asked her.

"Go ahead... I'll catch up Sango", she answered. As Sango got closer, Inuyasha noticed that she was blushing, but for what reason he wasn't sure. She passed Inuyasha and kept walking to the village, leaving Kagome and Inuyasha alone.

"What was that all about?” He asked Kagome when she came up beside him.

"Nothing to worry about Inuyasha..." She said innocently. Kagome set down the washing she was carrying, and wrapped her arms around Inuyasha. She kissed him gently on the lips before asking if he had slept well. Seeing the look of confusion on his face intensify, she smiled at him, picked up the washing she had set down, and continued along after Sango. Inuyasha just stood there for a few minutes in shock.

“What the…” Kagome had just hugged him, and on top of that, kissed him. A breeze blew towards Inuyasha bringing with it the flowery sent of Kagome's hair.

"Inuyasha...” Kagome called to him. He turned to see that she was waiting for him a ways up the path, so he ran to catch up with her.

"Umm...Kagome...?"

"Yes Inuyasha?" He hesitated, unsure how to ask her...

"Last night, it...it wasn't a dream...was it?" Kagome smiled and shook her head,

"No Inuyasha...last night was real." Inuyasha took the washing from Kagome and set it down on the ground before wrapping his arms around her as tight as he could. Kagome hugged him back and asked, "Inuyasha... Are you alright?"

"Yes Kagome, I'm ok...now." Inuyasha picked up the washing with one hand and took Kagome's hand with the other and started back towards the village. 'It really wasn't a dream after all' he smiled to himself.
