Inuyasha's hurtful discovery

"Who is Joel Courtney!?" Inuyasha said angry.

"Calm down killer, he's Koga's son. So he calms. He does look like him though, man my head hurts."

"Koga has a son!?" Inuyasha, Miroku, and Sango yelled out in shock.

"Wow clones of the way I reacted."

"Wait a minute, Koga had a son?" Inuyasha asked Courtney with a puzzled look on his face.

"Yes, anyway as you should now already he tried to kill me, and now that I now Koga wanted me dead and is making sure that I do die sometime soon."

"What do you mean? Koga's dead."

"Inu, Koga made sure that if he didn't kill me that his son did."

"He told that to me, Joel. What a fool. It almost cost him his arm."

"Well Courtney you should stay here and rest a while."

"No thanks Miroku, I might be hurt but I don't care. I got to and talk to a few people."

"Like who?"

"Inuyasha, don't be nosey. It's none of your business who I talk too. Now just don't get yourself killed." Courtney then stood up and walked over to Sango and whispered " Watch him. Make sure he doesn't pick any fights. He may be healed but his rib still needs another day to fully recover."

"Sure, I will try not to let him fight. You know how stubborn he is." Sango whispered back.

"True enough I do."

Courtney then walked out of the hut and back into the forest. Walking slowly for none of her wounds reopened.

~ Forest ~

"How can I tell him. I love Inuyasha but not like that. He's like a brother to me. Not a boyfriend. I how can I tell him. Wait, I can get Kikyo and him back together for then he's not totally heart broken. I hope he's not heart broken at all. How can I do that though, she's dead how can I make her whole? If I can sacrifice part of my life to extends hers then when I die, and leave Inuyasha, Sango, Miroku, Kilala, and Shippo I would be happy, and I could die happy knowing that Kikyo is not dead but alive with Inuyasha in the world of the living, not the dead."

~ Hut ~

"Kikyo's near by, who is she with?" Inuyasha said to himself. "Miroku I will be right back, ok."

"Sure, I will tell Sango and Shippo."

"Sounds good."

~ Forest ~

"Naraku!? Kikyo!? What the hell? There hand in hand!"

"Hello Inuyasha, good bye Inuyasha." Kikyo said with a smile on her face while turning around and told Naraku That she will take care of Inu, she wanted to settle the past, and explain to him their future."

"That's fine my precious miko. I will see you later Kikyo."

Inuyasha heard every word because of his demon side being a half dog demon.

"Kikyo what the hell is going on!"

"It's quite obvious don't you think. I have moved on. I'm with Naraku now. I have forgotten my past and now will move on to be with him."

"What!? No, Kikyo! Don't you remember!? He killed you! He set us against each other!"

"Like I said Inuyasha, I have forgotten the past. In which I don't care what happen then anymore."

Courtney was walking and hearing everything that they were saying and she had a very large grin on her face, but she also new what was coming. Her telling Inuyasha was getting even closer. The time she told him she loves him as a brother was coming nearer. She would lose him for forever know matter what now. " The time is coming nearer, Inuyasha this is going to be hard on both of us but at least you will be happy. I'm strong, what I'm I saying, I will get over this."

"Kikyo, I won't let you be with him. You have to be with me!" Inuyasha yelled walking up to her with fast pace and hugging her. Kikyo struggled then gave in and hugged him back.

"Inuyasha…. I'm sorry but…"

"Kikyo, if I have to I will go kill him right now for then we can be together."

"Inuyasha I must go. I will see you later. Meet me back here at dusk. Good bye for now."

"Kikyo!"

A tear dropped from Courtney's face. "Damn it. I have to suck it up. That was a very touching moment. I now know that I'm scared, very scared to tell him the truth, and ask him the question that will affect both of our life's"

Inuyasha then realized that Courtney was standing right by a tree and just looked at her until she broke the silence. "Inuyasha, I've been meaning to tell you this for a long time now but, I don't love you. At least like you think I do."

"Courtney if this has anything to do with what you just saw then…"

"Inuyasha what did I say about interrupting me. Anyway this doesn't have anything to do with what I just saw. Inu, like I said I've wanted to tell you for some time now but I didn't know how to tell you. I don't love you in the way of wanting to spend the rest of my life with you, or anymore of it. I just love you as a brother. I've realized it after some time now that you have treated me as a younger sister, and I'm happy for that. That's why I also want to know one more thing. Do you want to spend the rest of your life with Kikyo?"
