“Kagome I want you to be my life mate.”

Kagome didn’t know what to say. Did he just propose to her. She needed clarification.
“Inuyasha, what are you saying?” Kagome asked. Inuyasha huffed and looked away. ‘She knows what I mean!’ He thought to himself.
“You know,” Inuyasha growled before softly adding, “marriage.”
Kagome just blinked in shock. Inuyasha was finally being romantic. “Inuyasha.” Kagome’s heart skipped a beat before she squealed and jumped into his arms. “Inuyasha of course I’ll marry you!” Inuyasha’s eyes lit up as he held her and buried his face in her hair.
“Kagome.” Inuyasha said nuzzling her neck. He lifted her into his arms. “Well lets go home.” Inuyasha said carrying Kagome back to the well.
“Hey wait a second,” Kagome said angrily. “Home is in the other direction.” She continued pointing towards the door.
“What are you blabbing about we’re going back to the feudal era. Now pipe down and hold on.” Inuyasha commanded as Inuyasha jumped on the edge of the well, just as Kagome yelled out Osuwari. Causing them both to fall into the well.

Kanna led Kagura and Kohaku through the dark halls of Naraku’s castle. Kagura thought Naraku was dead so why were they in his castle.
“Kanna, why have we come here, I thought you said Naraku was dead.” Kagura growled.
“Naraku no longer resides in this castle, for he is indeed dead.” Kanna slowly responded. They finally stopped in front of a thick curtain. Kagura could see the shadow of a tall figure toying with a candle.
“Kagura, welcome back to the living world.” A powerful voice boomed from through the curtain.
“Who are you, why have you brought me back.” Kagura demanded.
“My name...is Toshi.” The voice continued. “And I just granted your wish.” Toshi’s voice sounded warm and trusting.
“My wish?” Kagura asked softly. “And what wish is that.” Kagura said sternly.
“You breath life again, so that you may see your Sesshoumaru again.” Toshi chuckled under his breath
“I’ll wait to thank you.” Kagura said wanting to see the face of her saviour. “What is it you want in return.”
“I only ask you to join me in my quest for glory.” Toshi growled.
“And if I refuse.”
“Well that’s your choice, though it would be a short lived one.” Toshi threatened. “After all you can not receive something for nothing.” Toshi continued. “You really think Sesshoumaru will just settle with any woman, with me your powers will become stronger. Then you will be a match for him.” Kagura didn’t look up. She thought for a moment.
“What do I have to do?”

Kagome coughed as she and Inuyasha lifted their heads. Kagome felt a pain is her arm as if she only fell into the well and didn’t pass into the feudal era.
“W-What happened.” Kagome said as she sat up. Clutching her arm.
“What the hell do you think happened.” Inuyasha yelled. “We can’t go back!” Inuyasha stomped his foot into the ground to further emphasize his point.
Kagome stood up in shock. “What, but why!” Kagome said puzzled.
“Keh! How the hell should I know.” Inuyasha lifted Kagome into his arms and jumped out the well. “Well if we’re stuck here we might as well eat something.”
Kagome sighed, ‘figures.’ At least she could give good news along with the bad. Or was Inuyasha now to angry to talk about his proposal.
“Kagome.” Inuyasha growled cutting into her thoughts. “Remember you are now MY woman. And I don’t want any other guys trying to claim you. Understand.” Kagome smiled as she reached for Inuyasha’s hand.
“Of course, Inuyasha.” She said as they both walked into the house.

Night had fallen in the Feudal Era. Rin slept on Mou-Mou, with Jaken lying not to far away. Sesshoumaru glanced at Satsuki, who was sleeping softly. As she shifted her fire red hair fell from over her eye. Sesshoumaru noticed three claw marks slashed across her eye.
“Your Father.” Satsuki suddenly said. Sesshoumaru didn’t look away. “I always wanted to challenge him.” Slowly she opened her eyes. Sesshoumaru could see the the clouded, injured eye, completely devoid of life. “Well he showed me a thing or two.” Satsuki laughed as she sat up letting the hair sweep back over her dead eye. She looked over to the sleeping Rin. “Why is that you travel with this human child.” She asked
“That is none of you concern.” Sesshoumaru snapped.
“Fair enough. But couldn’t you just make your own pup with your own mate.”
“Also, none of your concern.”
Satsuki gave Sesshoumaru a cold growl, which he quickly returned. Sesshoumaru didn’t have any intention on sitting so close to the female demon. But he wanted to feel her warmth. He wanted feel her touch again. He looked away and into the night sky.
“Just like your Father, cold except towards the ones he cared for.” Satsuki said sadly.
“If you cared so deeply for him,” Sesshoumaru said looking back at her. “Why weren’t you there to save him.”
Satsuki looked away for a moment trying and failing to hold back her sorrow. She looked back into Sesshoumaru’s eyes. “The same reason you didn’t.” She finally said. Although he hid his feelings well, Sesshoumaru couldn’t hide his eyes. His eyes could say it all, even if his face never changed his eyes mourned with Satsuki.
Satsuki reached over and softly touched her palm to his cheek. Sesshoumaru wanted to turn away but he wanted to feel her touch even more. Satsuki moved into an embrace, burying her face into his chest. Sesshoumaru wasn’t sure at first of how to react. Slowly, cautiously, he returned her embrace. Taking in her sweet smell and loving touch, slowly she pressed her lips to his. Sesshoumaru hesitates then allows himself to become one with Satsuki. Had he finally found a mate, or was this just a dream.

Sango Miroku and Shippo joined Inuyasha and Kagome in her bedroom. They were happy to finally see Inuyasha, although they had long before sensed his presence. Even Shippo jumped on his shoulders, at least now Kagome wouldn’t be sad anymore. Kagome had just given her friends the bad news of not being able return to the feudal era.
“I think it’s because the Shikon Jewel is gone.” Kagome tried to explain wishing Kaede was there to help.
Miroku sat pondering to same thing. “If that is true then how did we get here in the first place.?” He reasoned.
“That’s a good question Miroku.” Shippo said jumping from Inuyasha’s shoulders and crossing his arms puzzled. “Just how did we get here without the Jewel?”
“Maybe because of Kagome,” Sango interjected. “We are all now connected to her, and she’s connected to this time. So I guess it makes since for us to be connected also.”
“Hey yeah,” Kagome chirped, “that seems about right.”
“Well while we’re here we had better make the most it, perhaps we should get started on making those children.
“Hey Miroku, what are you doing!” Sango blushed and turned away.
“I’m simply expressing my love dear Sango.” Miroku smiled and pulled away shrugging his shoulders. “Alas, perhaps later then.”
“Well I guess now isn’t the best time.” Kagome smiled not wanting to keep it a secret any longer. “Oh well, Inuyasha asked me to marry him!” Kagome squealed as Sango clasped her sister’s hands in delight.
“Finally taking the big plunge ay Inuyasha.” Miroku smiled.
“Yeah well, there’s no need to make it such a big deal.” Inuyasha huffed.
“What you mean of course it is.” Kagome pulled Inuyashu out the door. “Now come on we have to tell everyone else.” Inuyasha reluctantly followed scowling every step of the way, with Shippo following close behind. Leaving Miroku and Sango alone in the room.
“Well I guess we should wait to tell them our good news.” Miroku smiled.
“Yes, this will be their day. There’s always tomorrow.” Sango replied. Miroku leaned towards Sango, who met him half way. They locked lips. Sango breathed Miroku in deep as Miroku stroked her long soft hair. ‘Yes, we can now count on a tomorrow.’ Sango sighed with pleasure.
Souta’s television program was interuppted, when a special news broadcast appeared on the screen.
“Central Tokyo has now been almost completely overrun with this strange new plant life.” A field reporter began. “Scientist say that much of these species died out about five hundred years ago. Citizens are being told not to touch any of the flowers until their origins can be correctly identified.” Mama turned of the T.V. and shuffled Souta into the kitchen.
“Come on Souta, your Sister says she has an announcement.”
Well Sesshoumara has lady friend finally. It seems like the only romantic interest people give him is with Rin and that’s little more than creepy. Seeing how that’s like his daughter. Anyway if you want to see what Satsuki looks like check out my fan art. You probably should strap yourselves in for a surprise twist. Like the origins of Toshi and his connection with Inuyasha and Sesshoumaru! But I do hope you are enjoying the story so far.
Inuyasha waited for his answer.
