Inuyasha ran his claws carefully through Kagome's raven locks as the sun started to rise above the horizon. The morning rays are entering their bedroom through the window that Kagome had Inuyasha install. "Inu..yasha?"

Kagome pulled back and slowly opened her tired eyes to look into his sparkling gold ones. "You are such a puppy, Inuyasha." She giggled again when he growled lightly.

Multiple things have to occur in order for them to have such a bond. One thing is complete trust. If there was even slight mistrust of the other, whether it be worried about a betrayal or about the others feelings, than their bond would have capped out before the mind speak became possible.

Parenting their children together will also make their bond stronger. Putting them to bed, telling them a story, cuddling them together. All these things that shows their love and devotion, makes them that much stronger together.

Myoga explained that the mind speaking is something so rare that only one couple was known to have it before them. Inuyasha was surprised to learn that it was his father and mother who could. Although the only one to know of this was Myoga himself. Others only speculated which was why it is said to be legend. He had said that Tōga had sired Sesshomaru before meeting his true mate, Izayoi. Tōga and Izayoi did mate fully but sadly they were separated too soon. The only reason Izayoi did not die when Tōga did, was because she had a child that needed her.

So they also learned that there is no way to know what else may change between a true mated pair. The mind speak may be all there is to it, or they could gain some other abilities in the future. There's no way to tell, but Myoga wants them to tell him if anything changes.

Which brings them to this moment, Kagome accidentally shutting Inuyasha out of her mind due to her embarrassment.

Inuyasha's eyes widened slightly and then Kagome unblocked him from what she is feeling about the situation. Feelings of sadness and jealousy came about not being able to talk to her pup in their native tongue. When Inuyasha growls and whines, not fully being able to respond the way she feels he would like. Watching as Sesshomaru has a conversation with her little puppy and her not understanding what they are saying. Inuyasha nodded his head and kissed her again before regretfully pulling away. "Come on. Shippo is already feeding the pup out in the eating area."

Kagome walked up to Inuyasha and hugged him around the waist as he finished putting his own food at the table.

Of course, as the young village Miko, Kagome is always available to help those in need. If there is an attack, she will put up a barrier and have her bow at the ready in case Inuyasha can't dispose of the demon quickly. If there is an injured or sick person, Kagome will be the first to offer aid.

But with normal work days being scheduled for five days in a row and then two days off, it gives everyone time with their families to relax and unwind.

"I love you, Inuyasha."

Inuyasha rolled over towards her to wrap her up more thoroughly in his arms and kissed her lightly before resting his chin on top of her head and closing his eyes.

Now, half asleep and unable to respond verbally, Kagome snuggles deeper and says internally, "Night."

A/N: So, you probably would have guessed by now that I have some kinks. I have a dom/sub kink (BDSM) and a choking kink definitely.. along with some slapping and stuff like that but I feel that might be too over the top for Inuyasha's personality unless it's to her ass from behind...
