“What do you mean we can't switch teams?!” Miroku's almost terrified voice filled the chaperone's bunkhouse.

Slowly Sesshoumaru slit one eyes, gazing lazily at the dark haired teen speaking to Bonkotsu with mild interest.

“I'm sorry Miroku, when you said you wanted to switch I thought it would only be you. We only have one opening in our group.” Bonkotsu explained tiredly. He was having enough problems with his group already without adding this hysterical teen to the mix.

“But that cant be! Couldn't you convince someone to switch too? We could trade with someone an-”

“Everyone in the group choose to be here Miroku. It's your own fault you picked a group you weren't willing to stay with. I'm not going to kick someone who wants to be here out because you don't like your group.”

“What about Kouga?” Sesshoumaru said absently.

“What?” Both males turned to him.

“You were just complaining a few minutes ago that he's being difficult. I could take him and Miroku and his little girlfriend could join you.”

Bankotsu thought a moment. “He probably would benefit from your influence. I noticed he was a little less confrontational when you brought him back.” Bankotsu smiled, “I shudder at the thought of what you might have done.”

“Just caught a diver down at the pool,” Sesshoumaru snorted, reclining back on his bunk, his hand resting over hi eyes.

“Ah yes, I remember when we first made that mistake.” He chuckled under his breath. “Very well,” he turned back to Miroku who was fidgeting, unsure what would come. “I suppose if Kouga agrees you could exchange places. I'll call Kouga in and ask. Go pack your things and head to our group's bunkhouse.”

An enormous smile broke out across Miroku's face. Bowing he ran out to tell Sango and grab his stuff, which he had never unpacked.

Kouga effortlessly slung his pack over his shoulder, skipping the steps outside the doorway and jumping to the ground. Turning around he saluted his former group mates. “Later losers,” he called, sneering at the faces they made. Turning away he trotted to the two bunkhouses across the campsite. Taking the three steps up to the males he slung the door open.

Naraku looked up from his military magazine to glance at the wolf. Grunting a hello he returned to the list of items and their prices. The left bunk was Miroku's, the far right one is empty, and the corner one in Inuyasha's. He explained.

Walking up to Miroku's he dropping his pack on the covers, noting that the bunk was closest to Inuyasha. Briefly he thought to move to the unused one, but then thought reconsidered. Miroku was taking his bunk after all.

Flopping down onto the hard surface he rested his head on his arms, staring up at the ceiling a thought occurred to him. “Where is the mutt anyway?”

Naraku almost ripped his magazine. “What did you call him?!”

“He's a hanyou isn't he?” Kouga said, sitting up and rummaging through his pack.

“Yeah, but don't ever call him that!” Naraku leaned across the bed, crumpling his magazine in his hands.

“Why? Hey you look scared? Whats wrong?”

“You'll-” He couldn't tell him he'll invoke his wrath…no his and the girls' plan depended on him not knowing Inuyasha's other side. “You'll hurt his feelings.” he said softly.

“So?” Kouga sat back with a soda he'd taken from the cooler before he left.

“So if you hurt Inuyasha's feeling Sesshoumaru and the girls will have your hide.” Naraku said darkly,

Kouga shrugged, pretending not to be intimidated, but Naraku noticed he had trouble swallowing that last gulp of soda. “So where is he?”

“On the roof,” Naraku pointed up. “He likes watching the stars.”

Kouga looked up, as if expecting to see Inuyasha through the thick wood. Shrugging again he rolled over.

Just then the door opened and Both boys looked up, expecting to see the hanyou. Instead Sesshoumaru stood in the doorway. He glanced at the two before reaching in and flipping the switch down, snapping of the lights and plunging the room into shadows.

Kouga heard the door close. “Not even take time for a two word commanded like “lights out.' He grumbled.

“Sesshoumaru doesn't take time for anything but himself unless he has too.” Naraku explained. There was a rustle of paper, then a creek and Naraku settled in for the night.

Kouga waited a while, wondering when Inuyasha would come inside, but soon found himself yielding to the heavy weight of sleep.

Sorry it's so short. My left eye is swollen and it's kind of blurry. Brianna and Kristen wanted to drive me to the doctors so I wouldn't have to go on my bike, and being the reasonable adult I am…

I kicked and screamed and insisted I could go on my own. Who needs depth perception after all? It got to the point where they actually handcuffed me to the door! XD I totally stole those handcuffs when we got back. I got them hidden somewhere now. They'll never find them!

Inuyasha comes back next chapter to find a sexy wolf where his ex should be. The same smexy wolf he wanted to avoid ;)
