"There is no way I see Sesshoumaru walking with Ang and Inuyasha right?"

Kagome squinted her eyes against the sun, sure enough there he was.

"Sango. Pinch me."

Sango and the others laughed and stood.

"Kagome, Sango, guys. Guess what?!"

Ang shouted and drew Rin and Shippou's attention as well. Rin screamed and took off running to both Sesshoumaru and Ang.

"Sesshoumaru-Sama, Mommy!"

The little girl launched herself into Sesshoumaru's arms and cried tears of relief.

"Rin, calm down. He's ok." Ang said laughing at the girl.

Ang walked over to Sango and sat with her under the tree.

"Sango. I wanted to ask you a question. Do you think that you can allow Kagome to remove the shard from your brothers back?"

Sango's face contorted with anger.

"What? Why? I'm not killing him for no good reason!" She yelled and Ang just smiled.

"We can bring him back Sango, with Tenseiga. If it will work on Sesshou's more serious wounds, it definitely work on Kohaku!" She explained.

Sango put her head down in thought.

"I would rather have him alive then unconscious I suppose."

She got up and motioned for Ang and Sesshoumaru to follow her. Inuyasha stayed with Kagome under the tree, while Miroku followed Sango and Ang. Setting down Rin, Sesshoumaru also followed the girls and the priest. Ang and Sango walked to a nearby tent and Miroku lowered some type of barrier from around the tent.

"I had him put it up, just incase." Sango explained and walked inside with Miroku.

Sesshoumaru took Ang's hand in his and gave it a light squeeze.

"It will work love. Do not worry."

Ang smiled and they walked into the tent together. Lying face down on a mat, Kohaku was still unconscious.

"I guess I will go and get Kagome." Sango said saddened.

"NO! I can see the shard. Somehow." Ang said and Sango stopped in her tracks.

"You can see it? How? What's it look like? I say we still need Kagome."

Ang gave a hearty laugh and responded to all the questions.

"Well, yes I can see the shard, it looks like a little black outline, I'm guessing it hasn't been purified yet, normally they glow pink after that right. Anyway, Kagome doesn't need to do this, I can, besides, I have the advantage."

Ang held up her claws and both Sango and Miroku gulped.

"He will use the Tenseiga once I make the cut and retrieve the shard."

Sesshoumaru nodded and held up the sword for them to see. Sango nodded and sat in the corner of the tent.

"I really think it would be better if you waited outside with Miroku, Sango." Ang told the girl and was surprised when she got up and walked out the tent.

"Well, maybe I should be bossy all the time." She said more to herself than anyone.

"Can you really see the shard, love?"

Sesshoumaru stood next to the boy and peeled off his small kimono.

"I don't know how, but yes. I can actually make a gash in his shoulder blade and it should come right out."

He nodded and laid the boy down on the mat, after removing his shirt.

"Let us start then."

He sat and crossed his legs, watching Ang as she sat across from him and prepared to make the first cut. She took a deep breath and placed a clawed finger over the outline of the shard. She let her finger linger for a moment before piercing the skin. Her claw went into the skin and she pulled her finger down a little past the end of the shard. The cut was just big enough for her to fit two fingers inside and pull out the shard.

"That was easy." She said.

Then the boy's body began to jerk and convulse as his life force was taken from him. The boy whimpered and cried and pounded his fists twice against the floor. The sight ate at Ang's heart. She could hear Sango fighting Miroku to get inside, but she wasn't winning. Finally, the boy stopped moving and the couple inside the tent gazed at his lifeless form.

"Ok…try it now Sesshou."

Sesshoumaru stood and took Tenseiga in his hand. Ang could feel the beating of Tenseiga and saw the glow that it gave off.

"This going to work. I feel it." She said.

Then, Sesshoumaru slashed the Tenseiga through Kohaku's body. Sango came running through the flaps and stopped when she saw the pink light coming from her brother's body.

"What is that?" She asked Ang.

Ang just smiled and pointed, "Watch." She said simply.

The light disappeared and Kohaku's chest rose with a sharp intake of air.

"Kohaku?"

Sango slowly kneeled down next to her brother and watched in awe as he turned over and jumped into her arms.

"Sango, I'm so sorry for all I've done. Please forgive me." Sango cried and held him close as she comforted him.

"Come on Sesshou. Lets give the happy little family some privacy."

Sesshoumaru and Ang walked out of the tent and went over to Inuyasha and Kagome.

"Here Kagome. It's the shard from Kohaku."

Ang tossed the shard to Kagome and sat in Sesshoumaru's lap next Inuyasha.

"You took it out? But that would mean the Sango let him go then?"

She looked toward the tent and heard the girl crying.

"Nope. He's very much alive, thanks to my Sesshou."

Kagome laughed.

"That girl will love you forever now." Inuyasha stated.

"Oh Kagome. You still wanna do that thing you asked about?"

Kagome seemed to be in thought before she answered.

"Nah…I don't wanna embarrass myself like that. So if it's fine with you, we can just skip it."

Ang laughed and nodded.

"That's fine."

She leaned into Sesshoumaru's chest and sighed contentedly. Suddenly a bright green light filled the sky.

"What is THAT?" Kagome asked.

"I don't like the looks of it." Ang said.
