Night Time XI

Sango almost jumped with joy when her boss told her that she was the one that got the survey journey to Dog Demon Mountain. She had wanted to go to that place for a very long time now. Being a geologist and a sucker for local legends, Dog Demon Mountain were THE place to be.

Sango packed her jeep with four weeks of down to nature experience. It would probably take her two days before she reached the mountain, but she could not care less. She was going to the place of her dreams and hopes. As she drove the long way to the wilderness she thought of the legends she had heard about the mountain.

According to one legend this had been a place where dog demons had found refuge after a great war against the cat demons. They had lived there since that day, some say that they still roamed in the great forests that surrounded the mountain. "That would be something, to find a dog demon in the flesh…" thought Sango as she put on the stereo and found a CD with the right type of mood music for her.

And as she had planned, she arrived to the little town called Legend falls. It was a small and cosy town. She guessed it could hold around 2000 people or something like that. She stopped at the local grocery shop to store up food. The store owner, an old woman who's name tag said Kaede, looked suspiciously at Sango when she piled up the food.

- Hi, said Sango with a smile in an attempt to be polite.

- Welcome to Legend falls, said Kaede. - What brings a young woman like you to our little humble town?

- Your mountain, Dog Demon Mountain, said Sango. - I am a geologist; I am here to do a survey of it.

Sango's heart almost stopped when the old woman began to cough violently. "My god, she is going to die..!!" Sango panicked and rushed around to help her. She patted Kaede on the back in order to help her out.

- Are you alright? Is there something I could do to help you? asked Sango frightened.

- [cough, cough…] Yes… do not go to the mountain, it is haunted. Evil demon spirits roam there. People have seen white haired creatures there; it is not a place for a young woman. You will…. [cough, cough…]

- It is alright Lady Kaede; I am quite capable of taking care of myself. You don't have to worry about me, said Sango and smiled. And that was the truth, she had lived in the big city long enough to know the value of self defence. She had black belt in karate, and she had trained some kick boxing, so she was not the easiest target around.

- I still urge you to stay away from that hell mountain!

- I am sorry Lady Kaede, but I am here to do my work. And no evil demons will stop me from doing what I am good at.

Kaede just shook her head, the young woman was determined to go to where everybody in Legend Falls were afraid of to go. She looked into her leaf green sparkling eyes and Kaede felt a tingling in her aura. Yes, old Kaede was not only the grocery shop owner, she was witch of the old world, and her intuition told her that this was the girl who was going to cleanse their mountain. "I can hardly believe it, but my intuition tells me that she is the One, she is both physical and mentally strong to take on Inuyasha of the mountain." Thought Kaede and began count the groceries together. "But the demon is a very illusive creature, she needs something to lure him to her, and I have just the thing… The Shikon no tama, its power should open his eyes for this little woman." Kaede smiled inwardly.

- Before you go I want you to have something, said Kaede and walked over to a very old shelf and opened a small locker and picked a small pink and lilac glass ball.

- What is that? asked Sango and took the ball when Kaede gave it to her.

- A good luck charm my dear. Wear it around your neck for protection, please, carry it for me. I would feel a lot better if you did, said Kaede.

- I will Lady Kaede, said Sango and put on the necklace.

Kaede nodded and waved off the young woman. "I wonder whose reincarnation she might be…?"

Sango fiddled a bit with the ball around her neck, it felt good to have it, she smiled - old Kaede was one odd lady, that was for sure. But her attention was drawn from the ball when she saw the giant mountain in front of her. Sango gasped when she saw it, it was majestic, truly a piece of nature's royalty. "This is home…!!" the thought hit her like a ton of bricks, but she knew it was true. The feeling of being surrounded by familiar faces, environments and energies, everything matched that of being at home.

As she looked for a good place to set up camp, she thought about it. Perhaps it was time for her to find a place to settle down? And this was the only place she had found such peace and tranquillity. It was time for her to make use of her inheritance; she could buy a small piece of land here at the foot of the mountain…"Yes, I think I will do just that. Father would have been proud if I used his money for this, he always loved the forest."

She parked the car not far from the great mountain. It did not take her too long to set up the tent and make a small camp fire. With skilled hands she made some food and ate it. It was still a few hours before the sun would set, so Sango took a small walk around her camp. She found a small stream of cold fresh water not very far from the camp. She filled up a water bottle and washed her face. She inhaled the different scents of the forest and exhaled, just thrilled to be here. The forest floor was covered with thick soft moss, pine trees, redwood trees, Douglas trees was the dominant features, but she could see some birches as well.

She turned to walk back to her camp.

She pulled up the zipper to her tent and went inside. A cold hand gripped around her heart.

Somebody had been inside her tent. On her pillow lay a small bouquet of wild flowers; there were blue bells, common violets, linnaea, all tied together with a few strands of grass. Sango picked up the flowers; even if she was scared she found it to be very romantic. Who had dared enter her tent to leave the flowers there?

She went outside to look around but she could not see anything out of the ordinary. She smiled and sniffed the flowers. Well, so she had a secret admirer in the woods. That was more than she had in the city. Well, there was Miroku, the ass grabbing janitor at the office, and she did not count him, he was a pervert. The men at her kick boxing club found her to be to mannish, a sort of tom boy with full breasts and swaying hips. And she was too strong for them, and a woman that was strong then three men all together, that was not appealing, it did not give you any boyfriends at all. "I wonder if my secret admirer would take off as well if he knew?" thought Sango and threw a few more logs on the dying camp fire.

The day turned to evening and Sango decided it was time to try to get some sleep. Who ever gave her the flowers did not want to show himself to her. She put out the fire and went inside the tent. She undressed and crawled into her sleeping bag, her knife not far away. She didn't want to be unable to defend herself if the admirer turned out to be a violent thing.

Inuyasha had no idea how he knew it, he just did. He had heard the vehicle long before he saw it. He sneaked up when it stopped and out from the car stepped the empress of his dreams. He had known her long before she had appeared in his real life. But she was even better than in his dreams. She was the one, she was going to be his queen..

Since his brother and his adoptive pup had left the mountain Inuyasha had been very lonely. He had longed for some company, but when ever he tried to approach the humans who entered his domain they were scared shitless. With this woman he would not take any chances, he stayed in the shadows and when she had left her camp he had picked some flowers and put inside her tent, hoping she would see it as a peace offering, that he had no intentions to harm her what so ever. And then he waited patiently for her to come back. He looked around the camp and found a lot of things that he did not recognize, he wondered what ever it was that had brought her to his realm. But he was going to make sure that she stayed here with him. He had seen the look on her face; she had found the forests and his mountain to be a source of tranquillity. That was indeed a good sign. She liked it here.

He saw her come back to camp and she ventured inside the tent. He could almost feel her tense up, another thing that had him convinced that they were bound together. She came out and she looked around, the flowers still in her hand. He smiled when he saw her move the small bouquet to her nose to inhale the small flowers scents. And it seemed to be a nice scent, because she repeated it over and over. Inuyasha was pleased and very happy as he retreated back into the woods. But he would not go very far away, he wanted to be close to his soul mate. "Yes, that's it… she is my soul mate… who else could she be? I have dreamed about her for so long, I knew it was her the moment I saw her… my soul mate."

Sango awoke the next day after a night of very pleasant dreams. "I don't think I ever have slept so well." she thought as she opened the tent and went outside. It was still early morning; the sun hadn't come over the horizon yet. But the air was warm and Sango inhaled the deep forests scent. She went about to do breakfast.

Every now and then she looked discreetly around her campsite. She felt like she was being watched. She forced a shrug away, not wanting to show that she knew that she was being watched. "Let us just hope that who ever it might be don't try anything until I get my coffee." She thought with a smile and made some coffee for her. She could be a real pain in the ass if she didn't get her morning coffee.

An hour later, just before the sun peaked over the horizon's edge she had packed her gear and were dressed for a day on the mountain. Sango made sure that the fire was put out and that nobody was around, ok, nobody except that person who had given her the flowers. She found a good spot where the sun would not reach until late afternoon. She found all sorts of minerals and even some crystals, mostly quartz crystals but even some calcite and fluorite. She decided to save them for her collection. But her boss's wishes to find some rare minerals to mine seemed to be impossible. Sango saved specimen after specimen, she would determine their character once she was back in her camp.

"What are she doing, is she really picking stones?"thought Inuyasha confused when he watched the object of his dreams climb the mountain with ease, almost like she was a mountain goat. His heart almost stopped when small pebbles and smaller stones was rolling under her feet. "She is going to get herself killed…" His body was tensed, ready to jump to save her if necessary. He saw her put her hand into a crevice in the rock and pulled out a nice piece of rock crystal. He smiled. "So she likes crystals? Perhaps she would like to see my ball room?" he wondered and saw the mental image of the cave room that was filled with sparkling crystals. He woke up from his thoughts just in time to see the woman fall from a small cliff. He took a giant leap through the air and caught her just before she hit the ground. He growled scolding at her foolishness as he carried her to safety.

Sango was confused, she should be dead, she should be very dead, instead it felt like she was carried by light winds. She slowly opened her eyes and was met by something red. Her face was pushed into a soft red material; she felt arms around her body. "What is this, a guardian angel?" She managed to move her face from the red material and her eyes widened. She looked up into the stern face of the most beautiful man she ever had seen. His eyes were golden, something she found to be a very odd eye colour. Long strands of silver hair flowed over her face and she was even more confused, he did not seem to be that old, twenty five at the most. Suddenly he stopped and he looked down at her and her heart sped up.

Inuyasha saw her look at him with confusion and something else that he could not determine what it was. He put her down to stand on her feet and then he took a step away.

- Dog Demon Mountain sure lives up to its name, doesn't it? smiled Sango weakly when she saw two dog ears flicker on his silvery head.

- Are you hurt? asked Inuyasha, ignoring her question although his spirit jumped in joy when she did not run away in fear.

- No, just some scratches, but I got them before I fell from the cliff. Who are you? said Sango still eyeing him out.

- Where?

- Where what?

- Where are your scratches? asked Inuyasha impatiently rough in tone.

Sango held up her arms and showed him the scratches. Her stomach made a flip when he took hold of her right arm and the next second she felt a warm and wet tongue lave over the bruises. She thought it would sting but it didn't, instead it felt really soothing. When he had licked all the wounds on her right arm he took her left and did the same with that as well.

- They should heal soon, said Inuyasha and moved his mouth away from her body, very reluctantly.

- Hnnn, said Sango, she was still in a daze, no logical thought could be formed inside her highly praised mind.

- You should be more careful woman when you climb around my mountain, growled Inuyasha deep in his throat.

Before Inuyasha could react he felt her fingers fiddle with his ears.
Sango's gentle touch made him almost go into trance; his half closed eyes showed her that he liked what she did to him. She stopped rubbing his ears for a moment when she heard a dark purring sound coming from deep within his chest.

- No, don't stop, it feels good woman, he whispered harshly.

Sango blushed when she heard the seductive tone but she continued to rub his ears, actually, she would have trouble stopping, because it felt too soft and funny to her, for a moment she was sure that she could rub his ears forever. Then the reality came and hit her in the face. "Fuck Sango, do you realize that you are rubbing a dog demon's ears?" She stopped immediately and took a few steps away from him.

Inuyasha felt a stab in his heart when she moved away from him with a frown on her face. What ever should he do if she was afraid of him? "No, no… please don't be afraid… Don't run away from me…" his thoughts were desperate and he crouched down and picked up a blue bell and held out to her, showing her that he meant no harm.

- Please…? he asked quietly.

- C-could you p-please show me the way back t-to my c-camp? stuttered Sango and took the flower from the silverhaired demon.

- I would rather take you to my home, where I can watch over you. You might…

He did not get any further because Sango fainted. Probably because she realized that she had been very close to death just a few minutes ago. He managed to grab her and pick her up before she fell to the ground. He carried her to his cave.

The entrance to his cave was hidden high up around the top peaks; the tunnel system formed a extreme labyrinth throughout the whole mountain. Inuyasha carried her to his bedroom. It was almost circular in the form. In the middle of the room stood a giant bed with dark red satin sheets. He placed her gently on the bed and brushed a few black strands from her beautiful face. A sleeping beauty. He placed a soft kiss on her forehead and then he left the room, she needed to wake up without having a chock. He found a place in the shadow and waited for his lady to wake up from her sleep.

Sango moaned in pure pleasure. Something felt very good against her skin; she dreamed that she slept in a bed with the most expensive satin sheets you could imagine. If she had been a cat she would have purred in her sleep. "Mmm, I don't want to wake up mommy, not ever…" she thought as her mind came back online.

She sat up in bed, looking around; her dark eyes searched for signs of familiarity, but found none. "Where the hell am I?" but when her eyes was locked onto a large quartz crystal that decorated the cave wall she threw her first panic overboard and got out of the bed and walked over to the crystal.

- That is one fine specimen… she breathed as her fingers moved over the smooth surface.

- Do you like it?

Sango jumped high into the air, she had thought she was alone, but apparently not. Their eyes formed a heated gaze and she felt a small shiver run up her spine.

- Who are you? asked Sango.

- My name is Inuyasha; I am the lord of this mountain. What is your name? asked Inuyasha.

- Sango.

- Sango…. a very beautiful name on such a beautiful woman…

Sango blushed and looked away. She had trouble taking compliments, she always had. Sango's self esteem was not ranking very high at the moment, it never had. But the way he looked at her… she was sure she saw pure lust inside his amber orbs. He wanted her.

- Why were you climbing my mountain Sango? asked Inuyasha with his soft voice.

- I am a geologist, I was sent here to do a survey, to see if there was any mineral that was worth mining, said Sango, unable to lie about her mission.

- I am sorry Sango, but I will not allow anything like that here, this mountain stays untouched, although you my dear have the rights to go anywhere you like.

His smile sent a shockwave through Sango. She wanted to gasp, but instead she stood there, frozen. "He is dangerous…." were her only thought as the candle lights made his fangs glimmer.

- Do you want a private tour of my den? asked Inuyasha and held out his clawed hand.

"A guided tour through Dog Demon Mountain… Who could say no to that?"She took his hand and felt his warmth surround hers, his grip was gentle and he smiled reassuringly towards her.

- Don't worry Sango; I don't eat humans, joked Inuyasha.

- I'm….

- Come, let me show you something that I know you will love.

Sango looked around the room one last time before Inuyasha guided her through an intricate maze of tunnels and rooms.

Inuyasha hoped that if she saw the ball room she would be amazed and stay with him, at least for a while. That room would be a one in a life time experience for a stone crazy person. He looked at her from the corner of his eyes and saw her take in every bit of his den. He could see her mouth ohhs and ahhhs every now and then. Yes, she liked his cave very much.

Sango did not know on what foot she was going to stand on when Inuyasha led her into a giant room. You could see quartz crystals everywhere, it was like a giant geode, the largest crystals were several feet in length.

- Dear Gods… whispered Sango.

- Yeah…

Sango released her hand from his and walked around the cave room. "This is got to be heaven…" she thought as she moved her fingers over a large crystal. Small tiny mirrors guided sunlight into the room, making a light show without a match in the world. Suddenly she felt arms encircle her waist and she felt hot air blowing on her neck. She tried to turn around but Inuyasha's firm grip prevented that.

- When I saw you get out of your car…., he began talking with his lips against her skin. Man, did she smell good or what.

- Y-yes….

- I know you will not believe me, but I have dreamed about for a very long time Sango. I have seen your beautiful face in my dreams since I entered the age where I supposedly should take a mate. But I couldn't take just anyone, I wanted you and you only Sango, said Inuyasha. - And when you stepped out of that jeep of yours… I knew… I knew you were my soul mate.

- S-soul mate?

- Yes. But I didn't want you to be scared of me, so I picked you flowers, trying to show you that I meant no harm.

Sango shivered when he licked a spot right under her ear. She closed her eyes and relaxed in his arms. She felt safe with him, and that was news even to her. She had always felt unsure and nervous around males when they got to close to her. And here she was, inside a giant crystal room, being hugged and kissed, and she felt good with it. Actually more than good…

Inuyasha sniffed around her neck as he hugged her tight inside his arms. If he had any doubts earlier they were now far gone. She was his intended, no question about it. "Please Sango, say that you will be mine…" he silently prayed. He turned her around and looked down into her leaf green eyes and he was lost in their depths.

- Sango, do you believe me when I say that we are soul mates? he asked with a low voice.

- I… I don't know… It feels familiar to be around your forest and mountain…, said Sango, her eyes showed confusion.

- I am not the one that goes around the hot soup and not drink it…

- Ehh????

- Just one of my little words of wisdom… When I want to say something, I say it. And I say that I want you to be mine Sango. I want you to stay here with me and be my wife, my mate, my soul mate.

Sango stiffened inside his arms and Inuyasha cursed his forwardness, he released his hug and took a step backwards, he fought hard not to cry, but a few treacherous tears escaped their bonds and rolled down his cheek.

- I am sorry, come I will take you back to your camp now, said Inuyasha with defeat evident in his voice.

- NO!!

Sango surprised both herself and Inuyasha with her outburst. She put a hand over her mouth and took his hand with her other one. She shook her head violently. She did not want to go back to camp. She liked it here; her heart had died a small death when she saw his tears. He really liked her, he truly liked her.

- No… I don't want to leave Inuyasha. I want to stay here with you, whispered Sango and moved closer to the dog demon.

- Once we have joined there is no turning back Sango, if you don't want to be here with me I will let you go if that is your wish, said Inuyasha and stroked her face gently with his free hand.

- Yes, I felt at home here, that was a new feeling to me. I have been all over the world, but this was the only place that I felt at peace. A place I could call home. I felt it the moment I got out of the car. I want to stay here with you. How odd it may seem, but I like you Inuyasha. I want to stay with you.

Inuyasha moved his hand around her neck and pulled her closer and then his lips crashed down on hers. His tears of sorrow turned to tears of happiness and Sango could feel them seep into her skin as she opened up for his kiss. Gods, he drank from her, taking every bit she offered to him willingly. He almost lost it when her hands moved under his red shirt and touched the skin on his lower back.

- Sango, d-don't…

- Why not? asked Sango innocently, but not so innocently…

- I…. I can hardly keep myself from taking you here on the spot, breathed Inuyasha and licked a wet path from her right ear down to her collar bone.

- Then don't… I will not break. I am a tough girl… have you not notice this??

He saw the flirty smile and he groaned darkly. He moved to sit down on a horizontal laying crystal and he moved Sango to stand in front of him. He looked up at her and saw her snickering smile before she pulled off her shirt. She had a white cotton sport bra underneath but before she released her breasts from their imprisonment she unbuttoned her jeans. A thrill when through her veins when she saw Inuyasha lick his lips. A passion this raw and unrefined…. It was more exciting than she ever could imagine. The sappy pick up lines and actions she had been put through earlier…. They made her sick. But this… she could feel herself grow moist between her legs. This was nature's lust, right from the source of life.

Inuyasha panted like a begging dog, he saw her strip piece by piece until she stood completely naked in front of him. The Gods of Fate had given him a strong female to mate with. - I want this Inuyasha, I do. Make me a demon's bride. Make me lady of the forest and mountain, whispered Sango, her voice was filled with her soul's wish.

Inuyasha did not need anything more; he took hold of her hips and moved her to hover over his manhood. He almost shot his load when he saw her pull apart her nether lips so he could gain an easier entrance to her wet hole. Once his tip found it he pushed her down and buried himself in her warmth. Both let out a lust craving sound as they were joined both on the physical plane and the spiritual plane. Inuyasha let her go and he licked the wound with his tongue, effectively healing it with his saliva, then he nuzzled her neck and let go of her hands. He was pleased to feel them go around his neck.

- My little mountain treasure… he whispered into her ear.

- My own little demon… purred Sango in reply and they kissed deeply.

It took them a very long time before anyone manages to gather enough strength to move apart.

Kaede made a call to the Mineral Mining office, telling the people there that their top geologist had been lost in the forest surrounding the Dog Demon Mountain. A big search had been done, but there was not a trace after the young woman.

Sango mouthed a Thank You to the old lady when she walked out the store.
