Night Time XVI

Kaede moved around in her hut, picking up those special herbs to her even more special potion. She was sure that Inuyasha was in love with Kagome, and this potion drew forth true love. Perhaps those two could get along better if Inuyasha proclaimed his love to the miko from the future? She chuckled and crushed the herbs she needed in a mortar. She whispered the secret words of the true love spell as she made the potion and once it was finished she put in a small vial. She was going to sneak it into Inuyasha's food when he didn't see it. "Ohh, this is going to be so funny." she giggled and put the vial away on a safe place.

But what Kaede didn't know was that Kagome had found that special someone already, and it was not Inuyasha. It was a boy from her time. She had given up on the hanyou a long time ago, and now they just fought for old time sake.

¤ Later that same evening ¤

Kaede gave Inuyasha a bowl of soup and he mumbled out something that could be translated into a thank you, but nobody could be sure what it was. He practically inhaled his food, unaware of the shimmer in the old miko's eye.

Inuyasha could feel something funny inside his belly as he moved to sit more comfortable in his tree. "What is the matter with me?" he thought and massaged his stomach a bit. He almost felt sick, and yet, he felt better than ever. What in God's name was going on? He jumped down from the tree and began walking, perhaps he was experience some digestion problems? A walk might fix it for him? He walked around in the village and then he walked up the hill to the shrine. He stopped in front of Kikyo's grave. She had been put to rest right after the destruction of Naraku. "Strange, now that I think of her I can not feel that special feeling anymore. What is going on here, have somebody put a spell on me or what?" he grunted and walked back down to Kaede's hut. He saw the old miko sit on her front porch with a cup of saké in her hand.

- Care to join me Inuyasha? she asked.

- Yeah, why not. I am feeling strange already, might as well get drunk and then go to sleep.

- You feel strange? Are you getting ill? asked Kaede innocently.

- I don't know, I just feel funny here, said Inuyasha and pointed towards his belly.

- I'm sure it's nothing Inuyasha, here take a cup of saké and I'm sure you will be ok, said Kaede and gave the hanyou a cup of rise wine.

- Thanks Kaede.

- You seemed troubled as well. Want to talk about it?

Inuyasha shook his head but before he knew what he was doing, he was spilling his gut out about his feelings towards Kikyo and Kagome. He told Kaede that he never loved the two mikos, instead he had mixed up the feeling of friendship with love, and he now felt more alone than ever. Kaede paled noticeable as she listened to what Inuyasha told her. She made a mistake, a very gruesome and horrible mistake. "This will teach me not to meddle with people's feelings again." she thought and groaned inwardly over her stupidity.

- Oh well, I think I will go to sleep now, said Inuyasha and took two steps forward and then he fell to the ground. He was already sleeping.

- Oh dear God, mumbled Kaede and walked inside the hut and awoke Sango. - I need help with Inuyasha. I think I might have made him too drunk, and now he is sleeping outside. Can you help me get him inside the hut?

- Mmm, of course Kaede, said Sango with a sleepy voice. But she got up from her futon and walked with Kaede outside. She saw Inuyasha sprawl out on the ground and she took a firm grip on his red haori and hoisted him up.

He mumbled something incoherent and then the two women got him inside the hut. Kaede removed his haori and white under shirt before she tucked him under the sheets. She saw Sango blush darkly and look away. The young taijya moved to lie on her bed and she turned her back against Inuyasha. The two was not even two feet from each other. "That was odd, I thought Sango had her eyes on Miroku?" thought Kaede and walked into the other room where her futon was. She shook her head and refused to think anymore of it.

Inuyasha woke to the most wonderful feeling he ever had. He had dreamt of being in the arms his strong and beautiful mate. He could still feel her arms around him as she spooned against his back. Her fierce scent of honeysuckle engulfed him and he took a deep breath to fill his lungs with it. He opened his eyes and realized that his dream was no dream. He was wrapped in a pair of strong arms. He quickly turned around and looked into the sleeping face of the most gorgeous of all women - Sango. His heart flipped around both once and twice before he understood what he was feeling. This was the woman he loved and wanted to have as mate. Sango. He silently said her name as he caressed her cheek with his clawed hand. She was beautiful. And when she slept she looked so content and safe that it brought a smile to his lips. His hand moved to her head and he let a few tresses of her hair flow between his fingers. It was like the finest silk. Sango. But then the raw reality hit him in the face. Sango loved Miroku, he had promised he would marry her. Although it was six months since they freed the world from Naraku he had yet to ask her. Instead the monk was running around the village and asked the local girls to bare him his child. "Fucking pervert, can he not see what he is doing to Sango?" the hanyou thought bitterly. "I wish that I could be the one you love Sango, but you still long for Miroku even if he is hurting you." He was lost in his thoughts that he didn't noticed that the woman next to him was about to wake up.

Sango couldn't believe it. She was being held by Inuyasha and she was embracing him. Gods, how embarrassing could things get? And she could feel his skin against her arm, the blush was a fact. How did a girl get out of a situation like this without loosing her face? She looked at his face, he was awake, but he seemed to be in deep thought because he didn't acknowledge her waking up. His face was free from the usual scowl, instead he looked very peaceful. She killed a shiver that was ready to wreck through her body as he played with her hair. No, this had to end before it got too far.

- Inuyasha? she said his name very softly.

- Hmm, was his only answer.

- I think we should get up…

- Why?

Inuyasha looked her right in the eyes now and she felt her cheeks warm up again.

- I… I think that would be a good idea, she whispered and moved away from him and got up on her feet quicker than a Shippou in need.

- Sango…

But he never got to tell her anything because she rushed out the door and disappeared. Inuyasha frowned, he was sure he had smelled excitement on Sango, but why did she refuse him? He sat up and scratched the back of his head in confusion. Perhaps she was still in love with Miroku after all? He had been wondering if she really loved that hentai houshi when he smelled her arousal. "Maybe I need to work on her a little bit more?" a small wicked grin appeared on his lips as he got up and stretched his limbs.

Kaede saw Inuyasha take on his white shirt, but he left it open. She smiled, there was something about the hanyou this morning that made her feel good as well. Perhaps her little potion had done him some good after all?

- Good morning Inuyasha, have you slept well?

- Yeah, but I don't recall getting into your cabin, said Inuyasha with a smirk.

- You got a bit drunk last night Inuyasha, I got Sango to help me get you inside and into bed, said Kaede.

- Oh really?

- Are you hungry?

Another grin. Stupid question anyway.

The morning turned into afternoon in the blink of an eye. Inuyasha tried to find Sango, but the taijya effectively avoided him or when he found her she was in the company of others. Not a moment alone with her. He growled, he could clearly smell her heated scent every time he looked at her, but why was she acting like she didn't want him to talk to her. Something had to be done. Another smell entered the village and he smirked. Kagome…. Perhaps she knew how to help him with Sango? He darted off towards the well, he wanted to talk to his friend before she got to the village.

Kagome saw the red blur stop right in front of her and she smiled.

- Hi Inuyasha, what's the rush? she asked as she looked into his smiling face. Something was up.

- How do you make a girl happy Kagome? asked Inuyasha bluntly.

- Ehh?

- You see, there is this girl I want to make happy. But I don't know how to do it, said Inuyasha. - I want to… I want her as mate, but I don't know how to say it to her.

- Ohh, who is it?

- Just tell me…. please?

- Perhaps giving her flowers, telling her how beautiful she is, that you love her. Things like that Inuyasha, said Kagome and frowned. Her friend was acting way out of character, was he ill?

- Thank you Kagome, smiled Inuyasha brightly and darted off into the woods before Kagome got the chance to ask him more questions.

"What the heck was that all about?"she thought as she walked to the village. She was met by old Kaede. The one eyed miko smiled secretively and Kagome got irritated, had everybody gone crazy while she was gone?

- Kagome-sama, what a pleasant surprise, said Kaede and welcomed the girl from the future into her hut.

- Ok Kaede-sama, what have happened while I was gone? asked Kagome.

- Nothing much, why do you ask?

- Inuyasha caught me by surprise and asked me a very strange question, and you look like you have swallowed a canary Kaede-sama, said Kagome with a frown.

- You have yet to see the things that have happened around here Kagome-sama. I think we might get a very nice show right in front of us today.

- Kaede-sama!! What have happened?!!

- You'll see, smiled Kaede.

Kagome grunted and sat down on the porch with Kaede. This was not good. She had a bad feeling about this.

Inuyasha found a field filled with all kinds of flowers. He picked one of each until his arms were filled with flowers. He smiled and rushed back to the village. Sango just had to like some of the flowers he gathered. He found her sitting next to Miroku, Kaede and Kagome. He saw Kagome's widened in surprise when he came towards them.

Inuyasha kneeled in front of Sango and held out the flowers to her.

- Sango, please accept my gift, he said and smiled warmly at the blushing taijya.

- Inuyasha?? asked Sango and tried to look at Inuyasha over the enormous amount of flowers.

- Inuyasha, what is the meaning of this? asked Miroku and tried to get eye contact with the hanyou, but it seemed that Inuyasha only had eyes for Sango right now.

Sango took the flowers and she sniffed them lightly. But her eyes were locked with a pair of golden ones. She could see him shimmer with something she couldn't name. She nodded absently and saw his face lit up even more and then he was off again. She was so startled that she hardly knew what to believe.

- Sango-sama, what is going on here? asked Miroku.

- I… I don't know, whispered Sango, her eyes still glued to where Inuyasha had gone off to.

- I think I know Sango-chan, said Kagome. Now it was all too clear to her.

- Y-you do?

- Yeah, but I am not going to tell you. You just have to figure things out by yourself Sango-chan.

Sango blushed again and hid her face in the flowers. She could feel the curiosity flowing from Miroku, but she was not ready to say anything yet. Not until she had a chance to talk to that confusing hanyou. She mumbled out an excuse and got up and walked away from her friends. She found a big amphora and filled it with water and placed the flowers in it before she went to look for Inuyasha. He had both one and two things to explain to her.

But it didn't matter how much she searched, she couldn't find Inuyasha anywhere. "Baka hanyou…" she thought as she stormed back to Kaede's hut. Sango was pissed off, that was hard facts. She undressed and got into bed with a scowl on her face, but the day took its toll on her and she was soon in deep sleep.

Inuyasha came as soon as he knew that Sango had fallen asleep. He was met by a smiling Kaede and he blushed a bit.

- So Inuyasha, want to tell me what you did today? asked Kaede as she gave him a bowl of left overs.

- Want to tell me what the hell you gave me yesterday in my food? Asked Inuyasha in return as he devoured the food.

- Fair question indeed. I gave you a potion that made you see your true love. But I expected to see Kagome as your true love. I must admit I never would have thought of Sango, said Kaede with a sad smile.

- So you did give me something?

Kaede looked confused, and then it hit her. Inuyasha had shot a blank one, and it hit target. She blushed and looked away, feeling guilty about what she had done.

- Its ok Kaede, I'm glad you did it. But now I want to know if I'm doing the right thing. What if Sango doesn't feel the same thing for me? What ever shall I do then?

- Inuyasha, I'm sure that Sango feels the same about you too. She is just a bit shy. Give her time. She was looking for you after you gave her the flowers, but I assume she didn't find you because she went to bed pretty mad.

- Ohh…., Inuyasha bit his lip and then looked at Kaede. - Can I sleep next to her tonight as well?

- Is that what you want Inuyasha? Kaede smiled inwardly, he was acting like a young boy asking his mother for permission. She wondered if he saw her as an older relative, but she decided not to ask him that.

- Yeah, is it ok?

- Of course, just don't wake her up. She was as I said, pretty mad when she went to bed.

- Thank you Kaede-baachan, said Inuyasha and blushed and then got up and walked into the second room.

Kaede couldn't believe what she just heard, but it did warm her old heart more than anything could.

Inuyasha slipped down under the sheets in the futon next to Sango. He saw her breath evenly and he smiled. He wanted to pull her close but he didn't want to wake her up. Perhaps she would embrace him during her sleep just like she had last night.

And Inuyasha's wish came true; when he awoke the next morning he lay face to face to Sango. She had her arm around him, just like he embraced her with his. He smiled and moved his face closer to hers and rubbed his nose against hers, wanting her to wake up. He heard her mumble in her sleep.

- Wake up my little Sango, I want you to be awake, he whispered softly.

She mumbled something and Inuyasha was a bit startled when she pushed her face into the crook of his neck and inhaled deeply. Inuyasha felt a heated thrill go down his spine to be diverted into his loins as soon as it reached the bottom. Gods, this was slowly killing his iron will. "Sango, I love you so much. I want you… I want you to be with me forever." He thought as he tugged her body closer to him.

Sango wished that she was a cat, because the way she felt right now made her want to purr in pure delights. She felt warm and protected. The scent that invaded her nose was something she connected with love and loyalty. She could stay here forever. But the cold reality knocked on the door and she awoke and opened her eyes. At first she didn't know where she was, she was staring right into something dark… She pulled away and realized that she had been lying close to Inuyasha. A bare-chested Inuyasha that is. She blushed darkly and pulled away even more. She looked at his face and saw him smile gently. She was caught of guard when he lightly kissed her lips.

Inuyasha moved away just moments after he kissed her and got up. He smiled and got dressed in a jiffy. Before she could say anything he was gone. He found his way up into his tree. He settled down comfortable, waiting for a certain taijya to come out and shout his name. But she never came. Instead she came out wearing her slayer outfit and her Hiraikotsu rested against her back. He heard her call to Kaede that she would go out to do so some serious demon hunting. That made him a bit nervous of course. When ever Sango got into that special mood, she was dangerous. Inuyasha doubted that his royal ass brother would stand a chance if he met Sango when she was furious. And by the way her aura felt like now - nope, Inuyasha wouldn't dare to make a move on her now.

Sango called Kirara and the little fire cat came bouncing and transformed into her bigger form. Sango found her place on the cat's back and they rode off into the morning sun. "What makes him think he can kiss me and just walk away?" she thought angrily as she felt passionate flames lick the inside of her veins. First the caressing yesterday morning, then there was the flowery thingy in the afternoon, and now he kissed her?!! "What the hell is he thinks he doing to me?" she asked as she threw her giant youkai bone through the sky and disintegrated a smaller demon. She wasn't pissed off, she was flaming mad.

And when she saw the regal form of Inuyasha's bad ass brother she just smirked. He would prove to be a worthy opponent to her today. She jumped down in front of the demon lord and she smiled gently at his disgusted face.

- Sesshoumaru-sama, what brings you to these parts of your lands? she asked politely as she held her hand on her katana.

- You have apparently been chosen, said Sesshoumaru and made sure she could see that he sniffed the air around her.

- Chosen as what Sesshoumaru-sama? asked Sango and raised an eyebrow in confusion.

- My bastard brother has chosen you to be his mate slayer. I can smell his stake on your body, said the lord with a wicked smile. - Perhaps I should kill you to make him suffer a little bit more.

- Oh yeah, you think you could kill me?

- Think? I know so my dear slayer, snorted the demon and put his fingers together on his right hand and formed his energy whip.

- Kagome-chan tells me that you never should mess with a girl with PMS, and I my dear lord Sesshoumaru - are PMS:ing, you don't want to get involved with me now, smirked Sango as she drew her katana.

- What is PMS? asked Sesshoumaru as he let his whip whirl around the slayer. He was impressed that she was able to avoid it very easily.

- The days before we bleed, and that is the time you don't mess with us, said Sango with a smile and moved gracefully until the tip of her sword pointed into his throat.

- Impressive for a human, said Sesshoumaru and surprised him self by meaning it as well.

- I suggest you keep your paws away from me and the village I protect Sesshoumaru-sama, the next time I will cut off your head, said Sango, still smiling gently.

- This Sesshoumaru acknowledge you as a female worthy of carrying on my father's blood line. Nobody has ever defeated this Sesshoumaru so easily.

- Never mess with a girl with hormonal problems Sess, and you will be just fine, smirked Sango and removed the tip of the sword from his throat.

The lord bowed and disappeared. "Gods, why can't they ever say good bye or anything?" she asked herself as she called for Kirara again. But she felt very proud. The demon lord had approved of her, and that was something she was sure that not many had lived to know about.

Inuyasha had despite of his better judgment followed the woman he loved. And when she faced Sesshoumaru his heart was about to cry out in pain. But he knew how much she resented having him interfere with her fights so he had hid in the trees while she fought the royal ass. And when she had managed to push her sword against his throat he had been surprised, even more surprised when his bastard brother acknowledge Sango as a female worthy of continuing his father's blood. That was indeed a surprise. Never had he thought that Sesshoumaru would have approved of a human female. Inuyasha was happy; he had actually done something that his brother would approve of. It was odd, never in his life had he cared about what his brother thought, but this… yeah, it made him feel very proud.

Sango jumped off Kirara in a nearby clearing with a hot spring, telling the fire cat to return without her to the village.

- I need some time alone, she told the cat and patted her head. - Tell the others I am fine, ok?

Kirara gave up a roaring growl and flew back to the village without her mistress.

Sango removed her slayer suit and walked down into the hot water with a sigh. This was the life. She closed her eyes and relaxed in the spring. In her mind she tried to understand what actually had taken place when she met Sesshoumaru, but it all came back to one and the same thing - He accepted her as a suitable mate to Inuyasha. If they ever produced a child, it would be accepted by Sesshoumaru. "Men, demon or not - they are such difficult creatures." thought Sango as she sunk deeper into the spring.

Inuyasha knew that Sango would kill him if she knew that he was spying on her, but now he couldn't care less. He wanted her and he was going to have her. He undressed and once he knew that she was enough settled in the spring he moved forward.

Sango could feel somebody move her. At first she was a bit startled but then she just knew, yeah, she knew him all to well. It was Inuyasha that moved down behind her in the hot spring. And for the first time in her life she gave in to someone, letting somebody else take charge over her. His arms went around her ribcage and she rested her back against his chest.

- Inuyasha?

- Yeah? asked the hanyou as he kissed the outer shell of her ear.

- Do you want me?

- Yes.

- Do you want me as mate?

- Yes I do Sango.

- Why?

Inuyasha moved her around to straddle his legs before he answered her question.

- I love you, he stated simply.

- I thought you loved Kagome, or even Kikyo, said Sango.

- I do, but not in the same way I love you Sango. When Kikyo lived I loved her, I love Kagome as well, but as friends, deep friends. But you are the one I want to be with, forever. You are the woman whom I want to have pups with Sango.

- I met Sesshoumaru today, said Sango absently.

- I know, I saw it, said Inuyasha. - And it surprised me. But I am glad that even he acknowledges you to be a woman worthy enough to continue our father's blood line. But it doesn't matter Sango. I would have picked you anyway.

Sango smiled and buried her face into his neck. Somehow everything just fell into place in her heart. She had loved Inuyasha almost since the moment she joined the group, but since it looked like he loved both Kikyo and Kagome, she didn't interfere, afraid that he would break her heart if he knew what she felt about him. But he loved her, only her. She wanted to be with him - forever.

- Sango, I want you, whispered Inuyasha and gently brushed his lips over her cheek and back to her ear.

Sango shivered and nodded. She wanted him too. The way his hands moved with circular patterns over her stomach made her want more than just a simple touch. She wanted him to join with her. She could feel his hands move higher and higher until he gently cupped her breasts. She gasped as his touch seem to light a fire inside her blood. He lightly pinched the nipples and she could feel him growl deeply behind her. She looked down to see what he did and she felt her face become flushed with emotions. Her nipples became darker and harder and she just loved the way it felt when he pinched them.

Inuyasha could smell her aroused state and he loved it, he could thrive on that scent alone. He nibbled the junction of her neck with his fangs and he heard her call out his name with a ragged voice. He liked that very much and he wanted to hear it again. He grabbed hold of her legs and pulled her so se was sitting in his lap instead, but just before he sat her down, he managed to get his shaft into that tight little hole of hers. His breath was caught in his throat when he felt her part her silky folds and help him get inside her canal. He let out a snarl as he lowered her down on his engorged shaft. Sango didn't know how she was supposed to act when her world was a place filled with passion and love. Everything her lover did made her feel like she was touching the heavens above. He removed his fangs from her flesh and he licked the wound to heal it. He knew that it would transform into his mark before the night ended.

Sango mewled when he slipped out from her womanhood, but even if she wanted him to stay inside her she knew that everything that had happened the last days was making her very tired. She turned around and looked into his handsome face. She smiled and cupped his face and kissed him. Without any protests, she let him carry her out of the water. He used his haori to dry them off before dressing them. Her legs were barely keeping her up and when he took her into his arms she was glad. She felt like she was going to fall asleep any moment. He carried her back to Kaede's village and he placed her on the futon, and then pulled his bed closer. He laid down next to her, spooning her back against his chest. He purred her to a well deserved sleep.

- My beloved Sango… my mate, he whispered.

But before he joined her in the dream world, he could feel that their mating bonds had been blessed with a child. He smiled into her black hair; he couldn't wait to tell her in the morning.
