(new story, im tired of vampires and magic and what not so this is a story that is little more...normal.)I don’t own any characters....wish I did though but....
Summery: Kagome is a normal girl who lives at a shrine in Tokyo. Inu Yasha is a guy who's father is emperor of Japan. Inu Yasha is tired of getting things handed to him on a silver platter, so he runs away. What happens when he meets Kagome and falls in love, and things suddenly go wrong.

"Father im tired of this. I don’t want to be king. Sesshomaru can have the thrown. You can't make me do it!" Inu Yasha ran from the room. His father was forcing him to take the thrown, and to rule Japan. Ever since he was little everything he ever wanted was just given to him. But when he ask a foreigner to go on a date and she rejected him, he was crushed. No one had ever said no to him.
She was beautiful, long black hair, blue eyes. Perfect.
Inu Yasha was tired of it all, he was leaving and running away. He was old enough to make it in the world, 21, a good age. Even though it sounded a bit childish.
His mother had tried to make him see it was a good thing but to him it seemed more like a curse. He had to marry and have kids. Tell people what to do and make sure the country was running okay. It was to much. All the women his parents picked out didn't love him, or they weren’t nice or pretty. His father and mother called him picky or blind for turning down such a noble woman. He didn't know how to run a country, and he didn't care! It's not his problem.

When night fell, he quietly crawled down the side of the castle. The ladder was still in place. Exactly where he left it after dinner. Everyone was a sleep. No one would know till it was to late. He would be long gone. He rushed across the land, snuck behind a bush and over the security gates. He was free!!!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Kagome lay on her bed, feet in the air moving back and forth. Pencil on her lips, thinking. Her day was pretty good. Hojo, the guy she liked, asked her to lunch tomorrow. She of course said yes. Sango her best friend had also got a date with a basketball player that was kinda good looking, Miroku Isukamii. Hojo was on the basketball team and the football team. The most popular guy in school.
It was Friday, every Friday she wrote in her diary about the week. She looked over at the clock, midnight. "Busy day tomorrow Kag, better go to bed." She said to her self. She closed her diary and set it on her night table. Then pulled the string of her lamp and snuggled into her blankets. Tomorrow's the day, the day I have my chance to get a boyfriend. She let out a squeal and want to sleep.
*********(Next day)****Kagome's eyes fluttered up. The day was new and bright. She crawled out of bed and changed. Rushing down the stairs and out the door. Kagome jogged most of the way to Sango's house. It wasn't that far, about a mile, mile and a half.
Once at the front door, Kagome knocked 3 times waited and knocked twice before letting herself in. It was her's and Sango's little knock that had made up in kindergarten. It was a little immature but it reminded them of old times.
Sango sat on the couch watching Saturday cartoons. "Yo, what's up?" She called still looking at the tv. "Nothing. Ready? We have an hour to get to the park to meet the guys. Then it's off to brunch." Kagome said looking at the clock. "I'm not going." Sango said flatly.
"What! Why not? Isn't this what you' ve bee waiting for, a chance to date a guy you like. Miroku is the guy you like right?" "Ya, but I don’t know Kagome what if he doesn't like me or he's not right? After all he does go after a lot of other girls.""And what if he's everything you've dreamed of and more. What if he's the prince in shining armor that waiting to take you away to his castle far far away?""Kagome that your dream not mine." Sango clicked off the tv and stood up. "Fine, lets go." They walked out to the house. Sango locking the door behind them. "Tag, your it." Kagome tapped Sango's shoulder and ran in front of her.
"Cheater!" Sango yelled running to catch Kagome.
"KAGOME LOOK OUT!"
Kagome looked behind her as she stopped in the middle of the road. A breaks of the truck screeched trying to stop. Kagome stood there not knowing what to do.
She felt herself be tackled to the ground. Her heart racing and her breathing labored. "Are you ok?" A boy asked. He looked concerned.
"Ya fine. Thanks." She wobbled up. The truck came to a halt and the driver shouted at them before continuing on his way. "Are you ok? I mean you did save me and all.""Keh, im fine." He dusted off his clothes and looked at her. He shirt torn in a couple of places."Your hurt." Kagome said looking at his shoulder. Blood trickled down his arm. "Sango, toss me you bag." Kagome called over to Sango who was jogging up to the pair on the other side of the road. "Don't you ever do that again." She scolded before handing over her bag. Kagome looked through the bag before finding what she wanted. A handkerchief. White with lace and sewed letters that spelled 'Kagome'. Gently Kagome tied the cloth around his arm. "There that should do for a little bit. Thanks again for saving me, but we really must be going. We kinda have a lunch date." Sango elbowed her in the ribs. "I wish there was more I could do for you. Is there anything you need?" "Umm...well yes and no. Can you just give you phone number so I can call you later and we can talk. I'm kinda new to the town." Kagome giggled little and searched through Sango's bag for a piece of paper. Final she found that and a pen. Quickly she wrote down her private number and her cell. Handing the paper to the boy she smiled. "Call me, the top number is my home and the bottom is my cell. But we really have to go so just call me." She grabbed Sango's hand and rushed off, leaving the boy standing where he was.
"Kagome I can't believe you just did that, im surprised your not dead. And why did you give him your number? He might be a stalker or a murderer!"
"Whatever Sango." Kagome said turning the corner and walking over to a swing. "The guys should be here in a few minuets." ~~~~~~~~~
Inu Yasha stood there looking as the girl ran off. He looked down in his hand at the numbers. Stuffing them in his pocket and continued walking down the sidewalk. He made a quick glance towards the cloth on his shoulder. "I didn't even ask her name. She didn't even know who I was!" He smiled to himself and walked. Few people paying attention to him. Then he finally realized, "I have no money!"

Kagome and Sango sat swinging for what seemed like forever. Final two men ran up to then panting. "Sorry...we're.....late." They said between gasps.
Kagome and Sango looked at each other and laughed. "Are you panting over us or running?" Kagome said before laughing some more. She held her sides and leaned back almost falling. She stopped laughing as she fell to the ground, Hojo held her up so she wouldn't hit the ground. "Thanks" She said blushing."Ready?" Miroku asked looking Sango over."Ya" Sango and Kagome said. They hopped out to the swing and walked off side by side, Hojo by Kagome and Miroku by Sango. (awww.. yuck)
Sango leaned over by Kagome's ear and whispered, "death out to get you today Kag?" Kagome stopped and looked at Sango. "What’s wrong?" Hojo asked stopping to.
"Nothing." She lied. She walked back beside Sango and whispered back to her, "No only if he thinks im attractive." She replied. Sango and her laughed getting looks from Miroku and Hojo. "Sorry, joke.""I want to know." Hojo said as he opened the door to a small café. Kagome stopped laughing and looked over to Sango who was shaking her head no. "Sorry can't tell it's personal."
Hojo looked hurt but just walked over to a booth and sat down. Kagome slid in beside him. Miroku and Sango following in on the other side.
"So let's eat im hungry." Miroku said grabbing a menu for him and Sango. "Finally a guy who speaks my language." Sango grabbed the offered menu and flipped through it. Miroku looked at her then to Hojo and smiled before looking at the list of food.
Hojo handed Kagome a menu and she took it also flipping through it.
Finally after minuets of discussing everyone was ready to order. The waitress walked over and took the order. "Your food will be right out." She said walking over to the counter to place the order. The news flashed up on one screen and sports on another. "Late breaking news! The prince of Japan has gone missing. The royal family refuses to release any info about the prince. But if you have any info about..." The news caster continued on but no one payed attention.
When the food arrived Sango and Miroku were like starving dogs. Hojo and Kagome ate quietly and slowly.
Once they finished, Hojo payed and they left the café. "So now what?" "Well, im missing my cartoons to be here so..." Sango said licking her lips.Miroku looked at her, " You like Saturday cartoons?!" "Ya so? Have a problem with that?" "No, I love them." Miroku said shocked.
"Why don't you two head over to the shrine? The surround sound is hooked up finally and the big screen is in the front room. Sango you know how it works, go have fun." Kagome said looking at the them.
"Are you sure Kagome?" Sango looked at her.
"Sure knock yourselves out. If the phone rings take a message and tell them I’ll call back.""What if it's you know who?""Tell him the same thing. If its an emergency tell him to call my cell." Kagome looked to see if her phone was where she had put it. It was.
"Okay. Bye then." Sango grabbed Miroku's hand and pulled him down the street.
"So what do you want to do?" Hojo asked watching the pair run up the street."I don't care." "Okay then follow me." He grabbed her hand and walked off down the street and into an arcade.
He quickly took off towards the back.
Kagome followed looking around. "This isn't what I had in mind." She said over the sounds and voices.
"Huh?" Hojo asked placing a few quarters in a game.
"Never mind." She mumbled before walking out.
Kagome walked down the street. her cell phone ringing. She grabbed it and answered. "Hello?"~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Inu Yasha walked down the street. "Umm..excuse me but do you have a phone I can borrow?" He asked a old woman who was tending to some flowers outside a shop.
"Ya inside, let me show you to it." She walked inside and to a small counter. She handed it to him and left him to help a customer.Taking out the paper the girl had give him he dialed the bottom number.
I rang a couple times before some ones voice said hello.
"Hello?""Who is this?""Umm....I believe you told me to call you? I hope this is not a bad time or anything.""Oh, no it's fine. What's your name? I forgot to ask." "Umm....Kuro." Inu Yasha said making up something fast."Hello Kuro, im Kagome.""Umm... I was wondering if we could meet somewhere and talk?""Sure where are you?"
"Umm.....I don't really know, hold on." He sat the phone down and ran outside. The shop sigh read Kyade's nature store. He rushed back in and picked up the phone. "Umm im at a little shop named 'Kyade's nature store.""Ok I know where that is. When you leave the store take a right and at the next street take another right and continue walking ill meet you on that street, ok?" "Sure." He said before hanging up.

Kagome clicked off her cell and rushed off up the road. Taking a few turns, Kagome ran into the boy from earlier. He still had the handkerchief on his shoulder. "HI." She panted.
"Hi, want to take a walk?""Sure." They walked off down the road. "So your new to Tokyo?""Not really, just to first time I’ve been in the city.""Oh, turn left here, im really grateful you saved my life. Is there anything I can do to pay you back?"
"Umm...yes there is." "What?"
"I really need a place to stay and what not." He looked down at the ground. "I kinda don't have money or a place to stay.""Hummm.." Kagome looked up, then at him. "There's tons of rooms at the shrine. You can stay in one if you like. My family is on a vacation for a while traveling the world, to dull for me. I only have my friend, who you met, at the moment."
"If you wouldn't mind I’d like that. That's if it's no trouble." Kuro (inu yasha) said looking at her.
"It's no trouble at all, follow me and we'll go there now. We can fix your shoulder and set you up." She smiled and walked up a large wall of stairs.
Once they reached the top they went over to the main house.
"Welcome to the Higurashi Shrine." Kagome said opening the door. Sango and Miroku sat on the couch holding controllers. "I see you two found my play station." Sango looked up and paused the game. "Hey Kag, where's Hojo?""Arcade." Kagome responded flatly, before walking in. She kicked off her shoes and turned to Kuro (inu yasha). "Come on in, make your self at home." Inu Yasha stepped in and took off his shoes. He looked over at the two people playing the game. "This is Sango and Miroku. Sango, Miroku this is Kuro, he's going to be staying with me for a bit.""Hi." Kuro (Inu Yasha) said
"Yo" Sango and Miroku replied before continuing with the game. Sango cast Kagome a ‘what the hell’ look but it was ignored.
"Kitchen's in there, living room is here. My room is upstairs. Your room will be where ever. You can chose. I'll go get some sheets and towels and we can go get you settled in." Kagome disappeared into the back, leaving Kuro (Inu Yasha) to stay with Sango and Miroku.
When Kagome came back she found everyone playing. She sat her load down and watched as they played. She had no idea what game it was, probably one of her brothers. "I'll be in the kitchen if you need me. Let me know when your done Kuro." She walked off into the kitchen.
Bruch wasn't enough. Looking in the fridge she decided on fruit. She looked around for a bowl, only to find none. The sink was packed with dishes and her room had some of it too. She sighed and began the long and boring task of washing dishes. Every once in a while stealing a grape from the table. She walked into the living room, no one had moved. Kagome watched a second before climbing the stairs to her room. Dishes lay everywhere, along with clothes and papers. Making a pile of dishes near the door. A pile of clothes by the bathroom, and a pile of papers by her bed.
Her room was now some what clean. Grabbing all the dishes she could carry and walked back to the kitchen, scooting down the stairs so not to fall. Sango was missing when Kagome returned downstairs. She entered the kitchen and placed the dishes in the sink.
Sango was looking in the fridge. "Where's the soda?""Bottom drawer."Sango pulled three sodas out and turned back into the living room.
Once finished with all the dishes, Kagome returned upstairs. She walked over to the radio, turned it on, and went to the clothes pile. Sorting was a bore. The music was the only thing the was interesting. She stood up and started dancing. This song was her favorite, Unfaithful. She danced eyes closed moving to the music. When the song ended Kagome returned to the pile of clothes.

"In the kitchen or upstairs, I hear the music." Sango replied. Now watching Miroku get beat by the computer.
Inu Yasha stood up and climbed the stairs. The door to the first room was open, he looked in. Kagome was dancing to the music. He wanted to cut in and dance with her. He instead leaned up against the door frame and watched as she twirled and moved to the beat. Once the song stopped she did too. Making him a little disappointed. "I was starting to like the show." He called to her. Making her jump and drop the clothes in her hands. She looked up. "Sorry for scaring you.""How much did you see?""Just you dancing."Kagome blushed and looked away.
"Don't be shy, I can't even dance like you did just now." he pushed off the door and stepped in.
"The two rooms at the end of the hall are my brothers and parents. Your welcome to any room other then them." She said trying to change the subject.
"Does that include yours?"
She blushed even more, he smiled at himself. He was falling for her more than ever. Her brown eyes. Her long black hair. Her kind smile and everything else about her.
"If I tell you a secret will you promise not to tell anyone?" He asked
"Depends on the secret." She continued to sort clothes. Not looking at him.
"A personal secret, well its two different secrets."
"Sure, I wont tell." She turned. He stepped in and shut the door. She scooted back to keep distance between them.
" I won't hurt you." "Ok, so What’s these secrets you want to tell me?" She stuttered trying to hurry him just to get him out.

Kagome kept her eyes on Kuro.
"Well, to start my name isn't Kuro.""Then what is it?" Kagome said scrunching up into a ball on the floor trying to get away from him, scared of what he might do."It's Inu Yasha, the prince of Japan.""WHAT!!" Kagome shot up off the floor. "I don’t believe you."
"Fine." He took off his hat."O my...your not lying." Kagome fell to the floor. On his head were a pair of dog ears.....(wow, so impressed...not..... but, I want some..)
"And second," he walked over to her. Kagome scooted against the wall little scared. "Im in love with you."Kagome went white. Paler then a ghost and just as ridged.
"Well, say something."
Instead Kagome passed out.

Inu Yasha sighed. He walked over to her and picked her up. He laid her on the bed and left her to sleep. He shut the door and returned downstairs.
"Find her?" Sango asked"Yes, she’s passed out on her bed. Kinda fainted on me.""Why she faint?" Miroku asked looking at him.
"I don't know if it was the 'im a prince of japan' part or the 'im in love with you' part.""WHAT!!!" Miroku and Sango yelled at the say time. They looked at him like he was crazy.
"Well you see..." He took off his hat to show his ears. "When I met kagome, she was really nice to me, and I kinda liked her. As I walked around, I met other, very rude people. Kagome reminds me of my mom. Kind, caring, everything. When I went up to Kagome's room she was dancing and I fell in love." His ears when down. "I don't mean her any harm I just didn’t want to lie to her, I want to be with her." "Awww...that’s so romantic." Sango held her hands against her chests. Miroku spoke up. "You know there’s a reward out for you and the military is also looking for you, right?"
"Ya, parents. They want me to take the thrown. King thing, so not for me." Inu Yasha hopped over the couch and sat down.
"You mean you are the heir to the thrown!" Sango gasp.
"Keh, ya sadly, but first I have to marry." His ears drooped more.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Kagome lay on her bed. "Was that a dream?" She sat up and held her head. Standing up she walked downstairs. Past everyone in the front room and into the kitchen. Grabbing a glass out of the dishwasher she filled it with water and grabbed the bottle of aspirin. Once, done she walked back into the living room and her eyes fell on the guy with dog ears. "Yo dog boy, lets talk, my room." He looked over at her and sadly followed the commands. Kagome slammed the door to her room hinting to Miroku and Sango she wanted privacy. "Now talk." Kagome crossed her arms and looked at the sad hanyou. "It's a long story." He said, ears drooping, his hair covering his face trying to hide his watery eyes. Kagome walked over to him sensing his sadness. Raising his head she looked at him. "I got no where to go." She whispered. He's ears perked up. "But, let me get a few things before you start. Stay puppy and don't move." She commanded before walking out of her room. Kagome ran downstairs and into the kitchen. Grabbing an arm full of sodas, some chips and popping a bag of popcorn. She ran back upstairs holding everything in her laundry basket. She sat it all in her room and shut the door again. Running down the hall she grabbed the quilt off her parents bed. Running into her brother's room she grabbed her stuffed bear, Souta had stole from her, and ran back to her room. Her guest was still sitting where he was. "Ok puppy spill." She said pulling Inu Yasha off the bed to place the quilt on. He walked over and grabbed a soda. When he turned around Kagome was laying under the quilt on her bed, hold a bear. he blushed before sitting down on the bed. "Spill dog boy." She said acting like it was going to be a bed time story. He sighed and laid down at the edge of the bed, far away from her so make her feel safe.
"Well I was born....." Inu Yasha started at the beginning of his life and hours later finished, "Now im here, and in love with you."
Kagome laid still eyes closed, Inu Yasha leaned over to see if she was asleep. Her eyes flew open and Inu Yasha fell back.
Sitting up with a jolt she looked ahead, "let me get this straight. You are the prince, soon to be king, of Japan. First, you have to get married, and by some remarkable miracle you fell for me. You had a girlfriend or a girl you liked but she ran to the states with some guy declaring she didn’t love you. Or something like that""Ya that would be Kikyo." He sighed and looked away.
"And I look like her?" "All except for a few details." The Prince's voice dropped lower.
"And those would be?" She sat her half full can of soda on the table by the bed and crawled to his side.
Inu Yasha turned to her, "Well her hair was longer, about to here." He placed a hand little below her butt and about mid thigh. Kagome squeaked a protest. "Sorry, and Kikyo's eyes were blue, not foggy brown. Umm....she was serious, unlike you who's shy and forward.""Is that a bad thing?""No its not." He ran a hand over her cheek taking in everything. "I love you because your you."Kagome leaned into his hand little. It was warm and soft. Placing her hand over the one on her cheek she smiled at him, "Why do you love me, you know nothing about me and im just a simple girl, sure miko powers aren’t common but everyone knows I have them." Inu Yasha laughed little, "I didn't know you were the girl, I heard a young lady on the outskirts of town had them but never know who exactly. As for the love part, well im willing to get to know you, I want you Kagome, I need you. When we were in the street, I realized not all of Japan are self-centered. I saw hope in the girl I saved."Kagome blushed and looked down, her bangs covering her face from him. "You had to bring up the me getting almost hit thing didn’t you."
Laughing Inu Yasha raised her head with the hand on the cheek. "We would have never met if not for it. Am I correct?"
"Ya." She looked at him, licking her lips."So, Kagome, do you want to try it? Will you be my girlfriend?"
"I....I don’t know." She looked at him and wet her lips again. " I guess. But not to fast, im still shocked about the prince thing.""Promise I wont go to fast." He grabbed Kagome's shoulders and twisted her around before pulling her to his chest. Inu Yasha rested his chin on the top of her head.
Kagome's hands rested on his arms.
"To fast?""Never." snuggling closer to the warmth of his body she closed her eyes.
Inu Yasha sat there realizing Kagome's breathing was slower, Must have fell asleep. Silently, he laid her on the bed, her whimper made him smile. Tip-towing out of the room he returned downstairs to grab the stuff she had given him for his room. Miroku and Sango had disappeared leaving him alone.

"Mommy? Daddy? Souta?" Kagome looked around. Ahead of her three figures drifted into sight. Kagome started running. The darkness around her turning into an airport. She continued running but they seemed to move farther and farther away. "Come back please." The three figures disappeared into a boarding tunnel destined to a plane leaving for some place.
The darkness slowly returned and later another place. Souta sat in a chair coloring, her mom beside him reading a book. And finally her father sat across the aisle. The plane shifted little but Kagome didn’t notice. A man in the far back to the plane stood up. Reaching up to the compartments above him, he pulled out a bag. Sitting back down again. Kagome stepped forward and noticed the man had stood up again. Looking at the distraction, Kagome realized he had a gun. "MOM DAD, SOUTA HIDE! He has a gun, do something." They just sat there though like they never heard her. Running forward hoping to stop the man but just passed through him, like a ghost. "No, No, NOOOOOOO." The man raised the gun pulling the trigger, first her father, then her mother and last her brother. He advanced towards the pilot......*************************************

Inu Yasha rushed to Kagome's room. She screamed again making him flatten his ears against his head. He grabbed Kagome held her down. "Kagome, wake up. Kagome." He shook her a bit. "KAGOME," He shook her harder. "WAKE UP ITS JUST A DREAM." Kagome's eyes twitched before fluttering open. " You ok?" "Inu Yasha, they're dead, I know it, I saw it." She sat up and cried against him. He sat down on the edge of the bed and held her, once again in his arms.
"Its ok, im here, when happened, tell me.""I saw my parents and Souta on a plane then a man had a gun and shot them and then.....O god, they're gone.""It was a dream Kagome...Just a dream.""No, I was there, I know it wasn’t a dream. My heart, my soul, I can feel it. Im alone."
"Your not alone, you have me, Sango, Miroku." He held her head against his chest. "Come on, lets find out What’s going on. I'll make a call." They walked downstairs and into the kitchen. Inu Yasha grabbed the phone on the counter and dialed a number. He watched as Kagome laid her head on the table, the line started ringing. Then someone picked up, "Yo Shippo, its Inu, I need a favor, then, I might come home." Kagome looked at him confused. "Im at a friends house and we have a problem, can you go ask Koga to hack airport systems and see if any planes have been taken over or went missing. It’s a bit of an emergency..." Kagome slammed her head back onto the table, Inu Yasha flinched. "Hey, send the car over we're coming home....... no not the limo, I don’t want to attract attention........ Ya, Ya, Ya, fine send the corvette then....... NO don’t tell mom and dad. Ok, see you in a bit Shippo. Hey wait one more thing, change my bed, twin to king, my guest will be staying with me for a while." With that said he hung up the phone and walked over to Kagome. He handed it to her, "Call Sango. Tell her to hurry over." Kagome gave him a confused look before grabbing to phone.
"Sango, its Kagome, can you come over? I really need you, and I think Inu Yasha and I are going somewhere, he wants you to come." Kagome held the phone away from her and hear Sango scream 'what'. "Just come over. Please. I need you....... NO I wont say it over the phone. Are you with Miroku?...... Yuck! T.M.I. Way, way to much info. Ya see you in a bit." She hung up and slammed her head on the table again.

By the time Sango and Miroku came over the corvette Inu Yasha called for was waiting. Sango burst into the room. Kagome looked up from the table before slamming it again with her head. Inu Yasha handed someone on the couch a glass of water. "What in the world is going on? This day is messed up." Sango growled. She looked at Kagome noticing tears in the girls eyes. "Kagome? What’s wrong, I’ve never seem you cry except for the time...never mind." She walked over and sat down. "Kagome tell me What’s wrong." Kagome just slammed her head on the table a couple of times before mumbling something. Sango turned to Inu Yasha, "WHAT. DID. YOU. DO?" she growled.
"Saved her from killing herself. Left for a second to let my driver in, came back and stupid there had a knife in hand.""WHAT? Kagome ain't like that she wouldn’t do that?" Inu Yasha walked over to Sango, grabbed her wrist and pulled her into the other room. Miroku followed. Once away from Kagome he told Sango what happened. Sango walked back to Kagome. "Come on Kag, lets go with Inu Yasha." She pulled Kagome out of the chair and walked outside. "INU YASHA." Sango yelled. Miroku walked out, Inu Yasha following.
"What?""Watch her, I have to grab something." Sango ran in and returned caring a large boomerang.
"What do you need that for woman?" He asked looked at Sango.
"What this? Im staying with Kagome, kinda like her bodyguard.""Keh, fine whatever. I'm guessing you want Miro to come also and stay with you?" He smiled.
Kagome leaned up against the car and waited, The driver came out. "Lord Inu Yasha? Are you ready?" "Kagome, where are the keys to the house?" Inu Yasha turned and looked at her. She leaned down and reached into her sock pulling out a key. She tossed it to him and returned to her 'don’t mess with me' stance.
He ran to the door, locked it and placed the key in his pocket. They all piled into the car. Sango rode shot gun, and Kagome ended up squished between Inu Yasha and Miroku. The drive was quiet till Inu Yasha told Sango to crank the radio up. Kagome remained quiet the whole ride, Inu Yasha and Sango looking at her every few minuets to see how she was. Once they reached the palace, Kagome was leaning against Inu Yasha, her eyes glazed over. The driver pulled up to the gate and typed in the code to open the gates. Driving to the doors he stopped. Sango opened the trunk and retrieved the boomerang. Miroku looked around studying the grounds. The house was on 6 acres of land. A garden was to the right filled with flowers and a fountain. To the left were stables. Nothing special. Inu Yasha picked Kagome up, bridal style, and carried her in. Sango looked around the house memorizing every detail. Books, order they were in, what way a table faced. Miroku looked and memorized rooms and faces, mostly looked at the maids but was stopped when Sango slapped his head. Climbing up a flight of stairs to the second level of the house, Inu Yasha led them to his room. Maids were just closing the door to the room when he turned the corner. One of them quickly open the door and Inu Yasha slipped in. The bed had been changed from him twin to a queen size. The black walls splatter with red paint darkened the room. Black curtains covered the only window. The once black sheets on the bed were now red. He gently laid Kagome down. She turned on her side away from him and cried. He left her alone to find out what was going on. Sango sat in a corner and Miroku followed Inu Yasha down the hall.
Once back on the main floor Inu Yasha walked to a closet. He pushed some coats back to reveal a steel door. "Tell one person of this and die." He said to Miroku, he only nodded. Tapping a quick number on the pad to the side, Inu Yasha open the door. A stair case wound down into darkness, a faint blue light at the end. Walking down the two came to another door. The prince knocked 3 times 2 quick taps and scratched once making a loud screech. Then opened it.
"Was, that necessary?" "Yes." Was his flat answer.
In front of then sat a man with wolf ears scrolling down a screen of numbers. "Yo, find anything?" "Ya. Just depends. Who your looking for? Two planes went down in the past 6 hours."
"Higurashi. Three in total, private or small plane. No bigger than 2 classes." Inu Yasha walked up the chair and looked at the screen.
"One small place. Public but only one compartment. 12 on the plane. Went down about 3 hours ago. First one too." "List of people and seat numbers"Another window popped up. "Dam. She was right. Well guess I better go tell her.""Inu Yasha, wait, don’t tell her yet, she knows but I don’t think she's stable enough for the real news." Miroku said leaning against the door. "Your probably right. Thanks Koga." Inu Yasha said walking out.

Sango sat in the dark room watching Kagome lay on the bed crying. There was nothing she could do. She, herself, lost her parents when she was young. Her mom in child-birth with her brother and her father hung himself 2 months later. Kagome was strong, she could handle this. The door creaked open and Inu Yasha peaked around the door to look at her. He walked in and to the bed. "Kagome?" Kagome turned to look at him eyes no longer full of life.
"Kagome, come on. I want talk with you in the gardens. Some where not so......dark." He picked her up and sat her on the floor to stand on her own.
She moved away and walked over to the window, pulling the curtains back. Pushing the windows open she looked out at the land. "Sango, get Kyade." Sango rushed out of the room. "I'll have revenge. I will never die till the bastard is dead, his blood covering my hands." She looked back at Inu Yasha. Inu Yasha looked surprised at the dark aura was around Kagome. He looked at her eyes to see pain and anger. It set off his own demon side. His eyes bleeding red, fangs growing.
He walked up to her pulling her body against his. "I love your thinking." His lips crashed to her's. Boldly, she deepened it. Inu Yasha smiled when a moan escaped her chest. Breaking the kiss he kissed down her jaw line and down her neck. "Kagome, be my mate." It was more of a command but a soft one. "Inu Yasha it's a bit sudden don’t you think?" Her eyes returning to their foggy, mystic brown. She smiled, "Never mind, yes, I would love to."
"Good." He kissed her neck working down to her shoulder. "Take a deep breath this will hurt." She inhaled as he bit down. His fangs breaking the skin leaving holes that bled slowly. Quickly licking the blood away, Inu Yasha picked her up. "Now your mine." He walked back over to the bed and tossed her down.
"Hey!" Kagome cried. Inu Yasha crawled towards her. She quickly rolled off the bed. "Come and get me." She said sticking out her tongue, and racing out the door. He gave chase but slower. She was after all only human. They ran into the front yard and through the gardens. Kagome stopped, tired, at a bench located near the fountain in the center of the gardens. Inu Yasha was back to normal and sat next to her not even tired.
"Cheater." he smiled.
"Demon." she panted.
"Half. My mom is a human. Dad is a demon. Sesshomaru is the demon. Im only a hanyou." His ears dropped at the mention of it.
"Really, that’s cool. Its nice not being normal. Im not normal, im more of an outcast or a person to be used. I guess were alike." She whispered.
"You an outcast? Your kidding." Inu Yasha looked at her.
"Not really. I put a girl in the hospital for a week and in a half body cast when I found out I was a miko. She cut my hair and insulted my family. I was so mad that I lost it. I turned and she ended up in the wall across the class room. I got suspended for 3 weeks. A few years later I met Sango. She is a bit different. Her ancestors were demon hunters, she’s not as weak as humans. We became close friends, always there for each other. Miroku came into the picture about a month ago. His right hand has a curse. The famous wind tunnel. Its why he has beads on his hand tying it closed. We are a family, and a group of outcasts together. You forget after a while that your different. When I was ten I started to learn to shoot the bow and arrow. At thirteen I started the sword after I surpassed my archer master. Kyade, the store keeper of the store you were at, she was my miko teacher until I couldn’t learn any more. I visit about 3 times a month." Kagome looked up at the sky. "I dream of being normal sometimes. To not be different." She laughed little. "But to be unique is the best. Like no one else."
Inu Yasha watched her fidget off and on. He smiled when she told her story. He listened like she had listened. They sat in silence for a while.
"You were right. About your parents." Inu Yasha said. He looked for a reaction but found none.
"I know. I never really saw them. Always traveling or working. Part of my heart is missing now, but part has been filled." Kagome started humming. The wind blew softly sprinkling flower petals everywhere.
Kagome sang changing the words a little to fit the moment. Her voice carried through the day and the gardens. Then her voice died away with the wind. "Where did you learn to sing like that?" Inu Yasha asked amazed."I don’t know. I just remembered the song. Its from the states, one of my favorites. I don’t know who sings it or anything, and the words a bit different." She mumbled embarrassed. "Sing the whole song with the right words. I want to hear it." Inu Yasha laid down and laid his head on her lap. Kagome smiled at him and begun to sing the whole song. As she sung the wind picked up again and blew petals over them.

Kagome let her voice die off when she finished. Inu Yasha had his eyes closed. Her voice was soft and sweet very soothing. He opened his eyes. "What else do you know? This American music, I love it." Kagome laughed. "I know a lot of songs. It’s the first time I’ve actually sung out loud though. My brother was always complaining or I never thought my voice was good enough.” She shrugged. "Sing for me. Please." He whispered to her. "Love, fast, what kind of music?" Kagome rubbed an ear. He purred. "Umm...fast." " OK." She smiled. And started to sing.
Kagome smiled. The wind had blown petals in her hair and messed it up enough that they stayed. Inu Yasha was starting to drool. "Ok dog boy enough singing for now. Your getting me wet." She laughed. Inu Yasha sat up disappointed. His ears twitched. "Parents are home." He said. "Come on then don't want to keep them waiting do we." She smiled and stood. Inu Yasha followed and grabbed her hand before leading her out of the gardens and back to the castle. "Hi Mom, Hi Dad." Inu Yasha bowed respectively to them before hugging each. Lord Inu Tashio and Isazyao smiled and hugged their son. "Where have you been!" His mom scolded. "We were worried something happened to you." Lord Inu Tashio growled. "Im sorry, but I had to get out. I want you to meet my mate, Kagome. Kagome this is Lady Isazyao and Lord Inu Tashio." Kagome bowed very low."Hello my Lord and Lady. Its is nice to be in your presents." She said. Her hair, tangled and messy, was aggravating her to no end, it would need to be brushed soon."it is nice to meet such a sweet girl." Isazyao said. Kagome stood full height and smiled. " Please call me Isa." She hugged Kagome."Just call me Tash. I hate the Lord part and will be happy to be rid of it. Luckily Inu Yasha here is taking it and you get to be queen." He laughed. Isa let go of Kagome and let Tash hug her. "HINTAI." Sango screamed chasing Miroku down the stairs. Miroku stopped at the bottom of the stairs. Sango ran into him. "I ought to kill you and bury you in the bottom of the dam lake you pervert." Kagome hit her head. "Uhhh. Sango, Miroku meet my parents." Inu Yasha interrupted. Kagome slapped a hand over his mouth but it was to late Sango had heard him. "Sango, water. Knock it off, cool down." Kagome commanded her. Sango stopped strangling Miroku at the word 'water'. She hate the stuff unless it was a really hot shower. Sango stopped and looked at her surroundings. She gulped."Im going to go kill myself now." She whispered before running out the door."Im sorry for Sango, she uhhh....is a bit.....Umm.....irrational sometimes." Kagome thought for the words. "And you Miroku what ever you did to tick her off you do it again and i’ll put you into the wall again like I did when you decided to make a move." Kagome growled pointing a finger at him. He gulped before running out like Sango had done."Well that’s the best part of the day I’ve had, wouldn't you say so hunny?" Iza said. Kagome laughed."It be great to come home to that instead of business." Tash said also laughing. Inu Yasha sighed. This was a really....interesting day; and it wasn't over yet. "Now son you said Kagome was you mate, are you joking with your old man?" Kagome and Inu Yasha both scratched their heads. "Well it kinda happened and I lost control.........I didn’t mean to......she flipped and I flipped and it....well happened." He stuttered. "Let's go talk. Your mom can talk with Kagome." Tash said walking to the living room. Isa smiled when they were gone. "Come lets have some tea. I'd love to hear about you." She lead Kagome to the kitchen. "So, how did you and Yashie meet?" Isa asked once in the kitchen with the hot water started. "Me and Sango were headed to a lunch date with a couple of boys. We were playing tag and I ran into the street in front of a car. Inu Yasha saved me. I gave him my number not thinking and out of respect. We never exchanged names or anything but later he called asking to meet. We meet down the road from one of my friends store and my house. Talking I found out he had no money and no place to stay. I live at the Higurashi shrine and offered Inu Yasha one of the many rooms. He seemed nice but I never really thought him a killer or anything. Anyways, when I was cleaning up my room and the house he can into my room and we talked. He told me about himself from birth to then. I kinda fainted on him too, he showed me his ears as proof of being the prince. He has cute ears." She giggled at confessing. "I passed out after we cleared up stuff about his life. while I was asleep I saw my parents murdered on plane. We came here and he made sure it was true. I lost it badly. Evil little me came out and said I would kill the person who did it, that I would have their blood on my hands. Inu Yasha's eyes turned red and he agreed with me. he kissed me, asked me to be his mate. I wanted to say no but realized that I loved him, deep down I really loved the cute misunderstood puppy deep inside him. I said yes he bit me, threw me on the bed. I told him to come get me and ran out the door and into the gardens. I sang to him, talked to him. Heard you guys come home and now were here." Kagome let out a long deep sigh. It felt good to say all that. "I see." Isa said standing up to fetch the tea. "My lady there is an elderly woman here asking for a Mrs. Kagome Higurashi." A maid said inside the door. "Kaede." Kagome jumped from her seat and out the door. Isa followed a bit slower. Kagome open the door to show an elderly woman. She had an eye patch over the left eye and wore a white and red suit. "Kaede! Its been, what, a week?" Kagome smiled hugging the old woman. "Hai, how are ye' child?" she hugged the girl back."Sad, happy, tired, in need of help." Kagome said letting the woman go. "I need more training.""How am I suppose to help ye' child, you learned everything." Kaede stepped in and noticed Isa standing and watching. "Hello, im Kaede, its' nice to met ye child." she smiled at Isa how smiled back. "Nice to meet you too." She bowed at the elder and continued watching."Kaede my powers went dark in anger. Plus you said something in a lecture of yours about demons and humans mating." Kagome slip her sleeve off her shoulder to show the now silvery mark on her collar bone. "Oops." she said sarcastically."We must kill this demon who tainted you!" She said almost like a war cry. Inu Yasha and Tash came out of the living room at the words. "You do in you'll find yourself in a tomb held with my miko power to strong even my cousin can free you without you her and you dying." She growled. "Besides, I won't let you even touch him in any harmful way, or his family, considering they are my family now. What you didn't know is mine are dead!" Her aura darkened to almost black. "Their killer will die with my hands cover in his blood." She growled.Kaede backed up at the words and power. Inu Yasha walked over his control lost also. Eyes red and fangs long. "Kagome, lets go have some fun." He whispered him his ear. Kagome looked at Inu Yasha her aura still black. "Let's" She said. Tash and Isa stood by watching. Inu Yasha led Kagome away from everyone and to a door that held a long dark staircase.
Inu Yasha flicked on the light and she hissed. He quickly flipped them off, glad she hated the light also. They stood there a moment. "Catch." Inu Yasha said throwing a sword to her. No sound of it hitting the floor gave him the knowledge she had caught it. He heard her unsheathe the blade; it glowed a soft black then a gray and finally a dull pink. "It's nice to have something I can control back in my hands." She whispered. Inu Yasha's eyes stared at her as she swung the sword around in practiced motions. "Let it out. Let your demon out and I’ll let mine out." He said walking to her. Kagome stopped as his footsteps echoed around them. Inu Yasha pushed his body to hers pulling her close. Kagome stared at the red eyes in the dark as he stared at her. "Please." He whispered on her lips. Kagome gave into the dark aura and let all control go. She sunk into the darkness; the cold and lonely darkness. Kagome woke up. It was dark but someone held her. Inu Yasha. She cuddled closer into his bare chest. He purred as their skin rubber together. She smiled and did it again. He held her tightly to him so she couldn't move very well. She let out a disappointed puff of air. Inu Yasha laughed in her ear."Hi." "Your warm." She whispered.He laughed again. "So are you my little warrior." He nosed her bare neck. "Where is our clothes?" She didn't really care, the touch was nice. "It's only our shirts, I took them off, both were pretty bloody, mostly mine but a bit yours. I cleaned it off both of us." He licked her neck and received a shutter from Kagome. "Blood?" "Don't you remember our fighting? The swords, you cutting me, stabbing me. Me slicing up your stomach?""No." Kagome tensed as he talked realizing, yet again, that she had got him hurt, even if it was by her. "I'm sorry." She whispered.He laughed and let her go rolling over. "It's gone, healed. You on the other hand, will find a surprised in the morning that some people say you wont like very much." "What is it? I feel whole, im to tired to actually look." She rolled over and felt a pain in her stomach. She hissed. Inu Yasha moved to hold her again and his touch chased away the pain. Kagome moved to his arms, holding them around her. They fell back asleep moments later still holding on to each other.

Kagome opened her eyes, the dawn light trying to break through the dark curtains. She smiled and sat up. Inu Yasha's arm slid down to lay on her thigh. She rubbed her eyes awake. Yawning, Kagome crawled out of bed. "Where are you going?" Inu Yasha whispered tired."Shower." Kagome stretched chasing the sleep from soar muscles."Can it wait till after breakfast?" He asked sitting up. Kagome nodded. He stood up and walked over to a dresser. Tossing Kagome a shirt he pulled out another. He slipped it over his head and walked over to Kagome. She put on the shirt and grabbed his outstretched hand. They walked hand in hand down into the kitchen. Tash, Isa, Kaede, Miroku, Sango, and two other people Kagome didn't know sat at the table all sat at the table eating. "Morning." Kagome said happily walking to an empty seat. "Morning." Everyone greeted. Koga spit out his orange juice and stared at Kagome. Tash and Isa had told him about her but she was beautiful. Like a goddess."So you’re her. Sorry bout the fokes." Koga said. "I'm Koga, computer hacker and master." He held out his hand for her to shake."Kagome. Nice to meet you." She took his hand and gave a firm hand shake. Wolf demon, she thought. They let go of each other and sat down to eat. Inu Yasha sat at the head of the table far from Kagome. He was next to another unknown man. Inu Yasha caught her questioning glance at him. "Kagome, this is Sesshomaru silent basterd he is." Inu Yasha got a 'Inu Yasha!' from his mom. His father laughed, and the man next to him, Sesshomaru, elbowed him in the ribs. "Hello Kagome, nice to meet you." Sesshomaru said looking up from the paper in front of him. "Hello." Kagome nodded to him. "Call him fluffy, he hates it but its funny as hell." Inu Yasha smiled as Sesshomaru tried to take a swing at him. "Fluffy?" Kagome asked confused. Koga leaned over the table. "He is a full dog demon. Once a night every month he turns into a giant fluffy dog. About as big as the castle. He sleeps in the backyard when it happens."Oh. Okay I get it now.""Fluffy, pass the butter please." Inu Yasha laughed. Sesshomaru looked at Kagome before socking Inu Yasha in the jaw causing him to fall from the chair. "Ouch, bastard, what was that for?" InuYasha growled jumping up from the floor holding his fist out. "Kagome can hit harder than you can, and she's a girl! Come on basterd, hit me like you mean it!" He taunted. Kagome looked up from her eggs and stared, open mouthed, at Inu Yasha "Don't bring me into this!" She shrieked."Well you do!" "Do we have to test this theory?" Sesshomaru questioned."Please no." Kagome pulled Miroku to her hiding her from his sight. "I can't fight." She whined."I'd say different." Inu Yasha put in."Shut up dog boy." She growled. Tash looked at her surprised. Isa giggled behind her hand. Sango hit Miroku once again and the room went silent. "I won't fight again, Only if I really have to, and it will probably be to save my ass, not to show off." She growled standing up staring at him. Her aura once again turned a dingy black. She took a deep breath and sat back down. All eyes on her. "You all can stop staring now." She said stiffly taking a bite of eggs. Koga gulped and grabbed his plate. "I think im going to go back to my room and see if there are any more updates on my singles page." He rushed off with out another word. "I think I'll go have that swim now." Sango stood up and also left."I think I’ll join her." Miroku left a second later.Kagome let out a sigh. "I want my shower and that’s it." She stood up and left going back up stairs to the shower in Inu Yasha's room. She met Sango half way through the hall. "You got some extra clothes I can borrow?" "No but I can run over to the house and get you and me both some." She smiled. "Thanks." Kagome hugged her and went into the room Sango left. Kagome sat on the edge of the bed holding her head in her hands. "I’m scared mom." She whispered to no one. "What do I do?" It remained quiet. She let out a sigh. "I love him mom." She said knowing her mom could hear her in Heaven. "I love him with my heart and soul. Its just can I be queen of a land that I feel is so flawed that it is about to fall. I love Tash as a father figure, what little I know of him, and know he had nothing to do with Japan starting to fall but what can I do, im 17!!! It's summer and I go back to school in less than a month. By that time word will be around that im mated or married or whatever you call it. Tell me mom is heaven as white and cloudy as they say or am I better off here." She stood in a lazy jump. "You always said to take a step at a time, jump the hurtles and get back up if I fall and that’s what I’m going to do. World here I come." She let out anything but a confident sigh. "Sound more happy." Kagome swung around. Koga and Sesshomaru stood in the doorway watching her. "Look, were just advisors. We both know Japan is falling." Sesshomaru sighed and rubbed his neck. "My brother is a fool. He has a beautiful, energetic girl, mate," He corrected. "You have been though a lot but all we can do is offer you a place to be at home. The shrine can still be yours and you can keep it. I mean you don’t have to accept us but just think about it." He tapped Koga's shoulder and nodded to the left. Koga nodded and moved to follow. When Sesshomaru disappeared Koga smiled. "Koga?""Ya?""Do you have a tail?" Kagome smiled as he grinned. "I'll show you tomorrow. I'll even take you swimming if dog breath don't. Or should I say dog boy?" Kagome smiled. "I'd like that. Thought I think Inu Yasha would get jealous." "Na, we'll just make it a no work and all play day." He smiled and left, leaving the door empty. Kagome let out a sigh and went to take her shower. she closed her eyes when to water hit her skin. The hot water steaming up the four walls of glass. Once done she slipped out and grabbed a towel. Wiping off the mirror she looked at herself and screamed. "O MY GOD!!!! KAWAII!!!!!!" (cute)Inu Yasha burst into the room. "Dam. I lost." Kagome looked at him. "Shut that door its cold!" She shrieked pulling the towel closer. Inu Yasha stepped in and shut the door behind of him. "Now what do you mean you lost?" She stalked towards him. "We all bet on what you would do when you saw the ears. I figured you would say something like 'what the hell', dad thought 'o my god?'. Fluffy wanted no part of the betting. Koga said you would probably strangle me. Sango said....'kawaii.' Mom thought you'd want tea and to talk. Miroku said something about having kids with you and was almost kill by me and Sango. He was taken out of the game. The servants have their own betting going ours was to high. One grand ($1000) to the winner."Kagome growled low and deep. "Nice to see I’m only worth a grand. But I think I’ll take that tea now." She mumbled. "O no you don't , that means I’d be out of three grand. One grand for Sango and one grand for dad is enough." He locked the door."And I’m not worth it?" Kagome raised her eye waiting for his answer. "Not three grand!" He nearly yelled. "No where near!" "Un uhhh." She gave him an evil, pissed look. "Wh...what I mean is that your worth more, I think." He scratched his chin. "Please don't be mad." He backed up as Kagome advanced."Move." he moved away from the door quickly. She held her towel as she stomped out of the room and down the stairs. "Kaede?" She called. Koga stared at her as she stomped by. "Yes, my child. How my I help ye'?" She asked coming from the library. "You still have those prayer beads?" Kagome readjusted the towel. Koga handed her his shirt and she quickly slipped it on before dropping the towel and fixing it around her waist."Yea?" Kaede looked at her."I want them, I have a bad dog that needs a lot of training. Sit and Shut up are on the very top of the list." Koga smiled but stayed quiet.Kaede disappeared back into the library coming back with a blue and white necklace. She handed it to Kagome. "Just tell him a control command it only works for one word." By the time Kaede had returned the parlor had filled with most of the servants, Iza, Tash, Sesshomaru, Sango, and Miroku."Hunny, come here, I want to talk to you." She called. Koga was trying very hard not to laugh. Inu Yasha stepped into the parlor his ears flat. "Ya?" Kagome tossed the beads, They broke apart and formed back around his neck. "SIT!" In a split second Inu Yasha found his face eating the floor. Koga broke up laughing. "Your next wolf boy if you don't behave." Koga smirked and backed up into the crowd. "Understand this Inu Yasha. I am alone and have my own rules. As my mate you will not, and I say again, will not say one word to discriminate against me. Meaning, by saying that I cost something!" She growled. She stepped around him. "As for the bet, you’re out of a lot of money. Dad, Sango, Mom and Koga just won." She walked out and into the kitchen. The room bust up laughing, Inu Yasha was in for a loooooong life.
Kagome sat in the kitchen drinking a cup of tea with hunny when Inu Yasha came in.
"I'm not in the mood Inu Yasha." She slid off the chair and brushed by him. He grabbed her arm and spun her around to look at him. "Get this, I am alpha, you are mine. Like it or not for the next hundred or so centuries. So get use to it." He growled in her face. "And the next time you decide to test my pride do it our room not in public." He pushed her away and walked out. The door swinging behind him. "What did you do to make him mad?" Kagome turned around. A small fox demon stood in the fridge looking through the various foods. "Embarrassed him." She sighed and returned to her seat. It was after all the only quite place away from him, Inu Yasha.
"Im Shippo." The fox demon jumped up on the seat next to her. His tail twitching. Red coat and shorts made him look more like a kid. A bow seemed girly but only real men who are comfortable with themselves can wear girl stuff. "Im Kagome." She smiled. Shippo smiled back. "I like you, your nice." He jumped on her head and settled between her ears careful not to pull them or her hair. She giggled and stood. "Well Shippo, what do you want to do?" She asked walking out of the kitchen. Sango was pulling two big suitcases in. Kagome rushed over minding Shippo, and helped her. "I brought 2 weeks of clothes, Bathing suits, Make- up. Brushes. Pillows. Blankets. Oh and Souta's big stuffed bear which is in the car still." She dropped the bags and let out a puff of air. "Thanks Sango." Kagome smiled and hugged her. "Come on Shippo, lets go get Hogosha." She skipped out of the castle. Hogosha was a 3 foot tall stuffed panda. Shippo took a quick liking to him. Since Inu Yasha was being such a jerk she decided to let the kitsune have him in his room if he promised to take care of him. The fox quickly agreed and together they moved the overstuffed bear upstairs to his room. Once the bear was put away. Kagome let Shippo rearrange his room. She disappeared back to find her bags which had been neatly put in Inu Yasha's room. She dug through the first three with no luck, in the forth bag she found her swim suit. A two piece, boy shorts and tank top. Changing she went to find Shippo. "Shippo?" She looked in his room, he sat with a book in the bears arms on the floor in a corner haloed in a shower of light. A small angel. "Im going swimming you want to come?"Shippo looked up. "I can't swim." He muttered a little scared."I'll be there, I'll even start teaching you." She smiled and stepped in his room."Really!?" Shippo stood up. Hogosha tipped over and Shippo quickly fixed him. He placed the book back on a shelf and ran to his dresser. Kagome stepped out so he could change. Seconds later Shippo burst out with a towel. Kagome chased him down the hall. She grabbed a towel by the door and went outside. The day was hot and surely close to 100 if not over. Shippo neatly put his towel on a chair and went to the kiddy pool. Kagome shook her head, picking up the kitsuin she walked over to the adult pool. "Ready? First close your eyes and hold your breath. One, Two, Three.” She jumped into the water, coming up she laughed and the kit scrambled on to her head. "That was fun. Can we do it again?" He jumped but thought better of it. "Later, right now, lets swim." She smiled and pushed off the bottom going a small dog paddle. "Watch me Shippo then you try it." Shippo watched every little movement. He jumped from her head into the water and copied what she did. He paddled a little faster and was able to make circles around her as she swam. They both stopped when the door outside shut. Shippo had to grab Kagome or continue swimming. He chose to grab a string of hair and climb to her shoulder. Sango, Miroku, Isa, Tash, and Koga came out talking and laughing. Kagome swam slowly over to the edge. "Hello." Kagome smiled looking up from the pool.
Koga, being the closest, not noticing her, jumped sky high and fell into the pool. The laughing continued as a soggy Koga popped up. Kagome smiled innocently. Shippo having an idea Koga would get her back, scrambled off her and to the safety of the cement. Koga dived underwater when Kagome turned around, he grabbed her leg and pulled her under making it easier to hold as he stood up with Kagome over his head. "Now Koga, it was an accident. " She laughed."How sweet pay back is though." He tossed her. She landed with a splash that covered Shippo, Koga and half the cement in water. She came up laughing and sneezing. "Even?" She called?"Nope." He dived again. Kagome went under and swam away from the approaching wolf. Someone come in at her side and grabbed her. Tash stood up holding Kagome. Koga surfaced feet from them. "Catch wolf." Tash called before tossing Kagome to Koga. She held her breath waiting to hit the water but never did. Koga held her to his chest. "See my tail?" He wiggled it at his side. It was matted with water, Kagome smiled. He tossed Kagome high in the air between Tash and him. She came down in another large splash. She surfaced and quickly made a bee line to the side. Sango and Miroku were splashing around in the hot tub to the side. Isa lay in the sun tanning. Shippo was with Sango and Miroku. She smiled. Koga came and almost made her fall back in but she adjusted her balance fast enough that he fell backward instead. She laughed and quickly scrambled around to the diving board. Koga watched her. She climbed the ladder to the10 foot dive. Jumping once, twice, three times then diving in a flip spin. Kagome hit the water, sunk and swam to the middle. Surfacing she spit out a fountain of water. Shippo dog paddled over to her and quickly pulled himself up on her head. Kagome shook her head before he was fully on, getting the water from her new ears. Shippo sat finally on her head looking down like he was on the top of the world. After a few hours of playing. Kagome climbed out tired and prunny. Her skin was a dark red and would surly be a nice tan tomorrow. Shippo however was burnt. Koga was burnt on his shoulders. Other than that everyone was fine. She grabbed her sun-warmed towel and bundled up. The sun was starting to set and created a nice calm mood. Shippo sat on the lounge chair with her. They watched as the sun faded from the sky and stars started to pop out. The back door opened and Inu Yasha stepped out. The light flickered on. All eyes were on him. He turned, now facing everyone. "Nice of you finally join us but I think we’re all leaving." Isa called to her son. Tash sat next to her, their feet in the water. Koga was with Sesshomaru still swimming. Sesshomaru had come when the heat died down a bit. Sango and Miroku had brought out a stereo and were working to turn it on so everyone could hang out still and not have to swim. Kagome looked up from laying down when Isa had started talking. Inu Yasha growled. "Why the hell didn’t anyone tell me you were all out here?"Everyone looked around at each other. Kagome spoke first."I was going to teach Shippo to swim for an hour." She looked at the kit who was playing with his sunburn; White, red, white, red. He poked."Koga said he was going swimming."Sango said. "I followed.""I came with Sango." Miroku said plugging in the radio."Me and Tash were about to leave but decide to have a no work day." Isa said
"I thought it got around to you that we were all out here." Tash spoke up."No, everyone disappeared, so I went and took a nap." His ears drooped.Kagome stood up and walked over to him. She whispered something in his ears that made them perk up. She pulled him to the pool. Sesshomaru got out and walked to a pole that made the pool start to glow bright. Kagome led Inu Yasha down the pool stairs. She swam out a little and waited for him to come.
Miroku and Sango turned the music up loud and the party began. After showing Inu Yasha her dives and swimming with him for two hours. Kagome climbed out. Tash, Isa, Koga, Miroku and Sango all sat in the hot tub. Shippo was a sleep cuddled in her towel. Her stomach growled and she felt weak from not eating all day. It was surly close to 10:00. "Anyone else hungry?" She called. Shippo sat up slowly wiping sleep from his eyes. He grabbed the towel and held it to him. "Ya, I am."A choirs of yes's rang out. Inu Yasha pulled him self out of the pool, he walked up behind Kagome and wrapped his arms around her. "What do we want?" Isa asked"Kagome you can cook, why don’t you cook something up." Sango piped up. "I brought the cook books and recipes. They are in the kitchen."All eyes turned to Kagome. "Gee thanks Sango, now they all know I can cook, why don’t you tell them my whole experience at chef school for a year." She said sarcastically."You can cook?" Tash, Inu Yasha, Sesshomaru and Koga said at the same time. "So the cook isn't the only one any more who can cook." Isa smiled. Kagome laughed and rubbed her head making a mental note to kill Sango later. "I'll cook tonight but don't get use to it." She growled. Everyone dried off and went inside. Kagome went to the kitchen to find something for dinner while everyone else went and watched T.V.
"Inu Yasha?" She looked in the living room. "Ya?" He looked back at her."I need some help." She smiled and disappeared. Inu Yasha stepped in the kitchen to a blast of smells. "Dam you've been busy." He walked up to the counter/island and looked at he foods. Egg rolls, Omelets, Ramen, rice, sushi. You name it she had made it. "I need help moving all this to the table and making it fit." She blushed. Inu Yasha grabbed two plates and started moving the many dishes to he table. In the end all the candles and table decorations had to be moved. Food covered the long 16 place table and some of the counter. A buzzer when off and Kagome quickly ran to the oven. She pulled out 2 large sheets of chocolate chip cookies. The oven next to it also went off and Kagome hurried to pull the warm white cake out of the oven. Inu Yasha stood his mouth open at all she had made. Kagome pulled a pot off the range and drizzled a brown liquid over the still hot cookies. Inu Yasha made his way over to watch. "What's that?" He asked sniffing."Carmel." She finished drizzling the cookies and grabbed another pot from behind her and drizzled the black liquid over the fluffy cake, that was now on a plate.. "This is chocolate." She opened the fridge and pulled out a tub of fruit. Placing it in the center of the bunt cake. She lifted the cake and put it on the island. Turning again, she placed the drizzled cookies on another plate. "There done." She let out a long sigh. Inu Yasha pulled out a chair next to where he sat and carried her to it. She sat down happy to be off her feet. Inu Yasha opened the dining room doors to be met by a group of hungry demons and humans. They walked in and sat down."Kagome. You made all this in less than two hours." Tash looked down the table at her. "I didn't even know we had half this stuff." He laughed."You need to go shopping soon." She said a little embarrassed.Shippo sat next to her looking at the edge of the table, too short to see over it. She picked him up and sat him in her lap. Grabbing her chop sticks she reached for a slice of sushi. "Here." She held it for him to eat. He took a bite and Kagome finished it. "Umm..." He smiled opening his mouth for more. Being so few people and such a large table everyone sat at one end.
The table burst into a frenzy as food was devoured. Kagome and Shippo took their time as did Inu Yasha. Food disappeared little by little. And soon groans came. Isa stopped first eating only 3 plates of food. Her stomach 2 inches bigger.Miroku and Sango quit at 5 plates. Inu Yasha, Kagome and Shippo all stopped early ending with 8 plates. It was a race between dogs and wolf. But in the end the bigger stomach own. Tash had eaten 14 plates of food and was showing as much as feeling it. "Well, who's up for cake and cookies?" Kagome said. All eyes fell on her except Inu Yasha and Shippo. Kagome had paced the boy and Inu Yasha had saw the desserts.She stood up and cleaned all the empty plates from the table leaving the half full ones at the end of the unused side of it. Inu Yasha helped her bring the cake and cookies to the table and with smaller plates. Eyes widened at the sight of more food. Koga and Tash started to drool. Isa was ready for more after waiting for 15 minutes for everyone to finish. "I call not doing dishes." Kagome said sitting the cake down. Four other voices followed. Sango and Miroku were the last to say it. "Sorry San and Miro but your stuck with this, think of it like this I don’t have to hurt you tonight for opening your mouth." She said more to Sango. Kagome went back to the kitchen to grab a knife. She was half way back to the dining room when Inu Yasha stepped in and stopped her. "Kagome?" He whispered.
"Ya?""Shush.....I want to tell you im sorry for being an ass this morning." He touched the beads around his neck. "I know you meant well with these but it hurt my pride to be ground into the floor. We just wanted to have a little fun." His ears drooped. Kagome left to kitchen to set the knife down and returned to him in the kitchen. "Inu Yasha." He turned to look at her. She place her hands on his cheat and reached to kiss him. Inu Yasha wrapped his arms around her waist lifting her from the ground a spun around. They broke apart and walked out together hand in hand. Confused glances were aimed at them. But were ignored. Kagome cut the cake and placed a piece on Inu Yasha's plate and one on hers for her and Shippo. Everyone else served themselves. At the end of dinner all but Inu Yasha, Kagome and Shippo was sick. "Kagome dear, you are to cook once a week, preferably Fridays." Tash said standing with his new filled belly. "Yes, I agree." Isa smiled also standing.
"Well im crashing, no way I can do a three day all nighter." Koga stood and smiled. "Have fun with dishes." He walked out and disappeared. Tash, Sesshomaru and Isa said there good nights before also leaving.
"Shippo, let's go tuck you in." Kagome grabbed the little kitsuin and held him like a baby. Inu Yasha followed her upstairs and to the fox's room. Kagome lay the little boy in his bed and covered him up. She would tend the burns tomorrow. Inu Yasha walked by her as they headed to their room. Inu Yasha flopped on the bed. Kagome searched her bags for PJ’s and was rewarded to find Sango had only brought silk pants and a tank top for her. Sighing she grabbed the clothes and tossed them back into the bag. A pair of normal shorts and a over baggy shirt would have to do. She went to the bathroom and changed. Inu Yasha had crawled into bed and was fast asleep when she returned. Crawling in the large bed Kagome turned out the lights and fell to sleep. Morning came and went. Noon came and went. By two in the afternoon, the house was beginning to stir. Kagome's eyes fluttered open. Inu Yasha was quietly snoring next to her. Shippo had come sometime during the night do to a bad dream. She was stuck. If she tried to get up she would surly wake one if not both of them. She lay there for what seemed like a hour, but Inu Yasha finally moved to his other side. It gave her enough room to get up, well it did until Shippo moved his head to her arm and knotted her shirt in his hands. Kagome mentally screamed but stayed still holding the little fox close. Inu Yasha rolled over again half an hour later, swinging his arm over her waist pulling her close. Kagome turned to lay on her back. Shippo on one side, Inu Yasha on the other. Hours later, or so it seemed, Inu Yasha began to wake up. Shippo muttered something and continued to sleep. It took Inu Yasha awhile to wake up. Kagome wanted to strangle both of them for keeping her here but she didn't. Inu Yasha yawned and opened his eyes.
"Morning." He whispered. "How long you been awake?"Kagome sat up leaving the almost awake Shippo on the bed inches from her. The clock read 5:13. "Well I woke up about 15 till 2. So that’s 1:45 and its 5:13 so around 3 hours."
"You've been in bed for 3 hours." Inu Yasha almost yelled. His attention was brought to grumbling on the other side of Kagome. "What’s he doing here?" He pointed to Shippo."He had a bad dream, something about a fire and his parents. He was crying and ended up falling asleep. Between you two I couldn’t get up. Either you both were holding me or I was squished between you. One of you always made it so I couldn't." She whispered loudly.
Shippo looked up. "Hello Kagome, your ears look pretty, Inu Yasha told me he went to some bar and would be back when you go swimming." He muttered before closing his eyes and letting his head fall back to the bed.Kagome tried not to laugh but couldn’t help it, she grabbed a pillow and laughed in it instead of out loud. Inu Yasha sat up and was red. Once he realized Shippo was sleep talking he laughed lightly. "A bar huh?" Kagome said finally from the pillow."Well its not my kind of place but the pool games are good." He laughed. Shippo sat up again and looked at the two. Kagome hit Inu Yasha's shoulder and pointed to Shippo. "Kagome? Do we have any worms? Hogosha is hungry and is now living in the dog house. He told me to tell you Sesshomaru will need a new house since he can’t fit with Hogosha." He fell back on the bed again asleep. Kagome laughed hard in the pillow. She handed it to Inu Yasha who took his turn laughing. Everyone would have to hear about this. Fifteen minuets later Shippo sat up again. "Koga, there is a cave out back. Ayame said Sesshomaru and Inu Yasha hid your mouse there. It squeaks to loudly and the light is going out." He leaned forward and started snoring. Inu Yasha raised an eyebrow a little confused on the words."Koga is a computer nut. Computers have a mouse. You and Sesshomaru stole the 'mouse' because it 'squeaked' to loudly and the ‘light' on it was dying. Most mouses have a light on the bottom if they are wireless. The squeakiness is when he moves it the ball on the bottom squeaks." Kagome explained. Inu Yasha laughed and shook his head.This time only five minutes passed before Shippo started again. "Momma? Daddy? Its hot." He whined curling into a ball shaking. "Momma, who's he? Where is Daddy?" Kagome touched the kit and pulled away at how hot he was. "Mommy? Mommy why is it so hot?" Kagome pulled the kit to her chest and rocked back and forth. "Daddy? Why is Mommy bleeding? Why are you bleeding? Was it that man?" Kagome rocked the little kit holding him tightly. "Hush little baby don't you cry, momma's going to sing you a lullaby. If this lullaby don’t work momma's going to by you a mocking bird. And if that mocking bird don't sing then momma's going to buy you a diamond ring. And if that ring don't gleam momma's going to keep on singing." She whispered. Shippo cooled down and his eyes fluttered open. "Kagome? I saw..""I know Shippo, it's over now, we’re here. Nothing is going to happen." Kagome held him close to her and continued rocking.
"I heard my momma singing to me." He whispered. Inu Yasha sat up. Kagome stopped moving. "She sounded just like you Kagome." A tear fell from Kagome's eye, down to her chin and onto Shippo's lap. "Kagome?" Shippo pulled away from Kagome. He turned to look at her. Inu Yasha moved to her side. Shippo touched Kagome as another tear fell. "Hush little baby don't you cry." She said and begun to sing whipping the tears away. "Momma's going to sing you a lullaby. If this lullaby don’t work momma's going to by you a mocking bird. And if that mocking bird don't sing then momma's going to buy you a diamond ring. And if that ring don't gleam momma's going to keep on singing." She said the last two words. Inu Yasha moved behind Kagome holding her to him. Shippo looked at Kagome."She died when I was really little, I don't remember much just her voice. My dad was always working to keep the house. One day a man came and stayed till daddy got home. Daddy walked in and the man shot him. I was in the other room playing and came to see what happened. Mommy came out and started screaming. The man shot her too. He lit a match and tossed it on the old curtains and the house started on fire. Daddy crawled to Momma and held her hand. He yelled at me to get out and I did. The house collapsed by the time the firemen came. Tash was a friend of daddy's and let me come live here." Shippo played with the sheet. "My mommy, daddy, and baby brother were killed on a plane far away from me. I saw them die 3 hours after they were dead in a dream. That’s why im here. Inu Yasha made me his mate and now im family. I love him and Sango and Miroku, Isa, Tash, Sesshomaru and Koga is a good friend. My friends at school don't know anything. They don’t care either. I only have you guys." She pulled Inu Yasha's arms tighter around her.
"Kagome? Can you be my momma?" Shippo asked tears slowly falling down his face."Shippo I can never take the place of your real mother but I can be your mother in her place until she wants to see you in heaven." Kagome reached for the kit and sat him in her lap."Heaven? Where is that?" He asked wiping the tears away.
"In the sky." She whispered. "Can I visit her and daddy in a plane? Inu Yasha and you can come we’ll take the jet." Shippo said hopefully."No Shippo, you can't it’s a big flying land with lots of white clouds and castles that no one can find not oven with a jet." Inu Yasha said for Kagome."Koga could find it." The boy tried again."Not even Koga could find it. I've seen it once. I almost stayed but remembered I had people here waiting for me on earth." Inu Yasha gasped as Kagome told them."How did you get there Kagome?""I died but the hospital brought me back." She whispered to Shippo.Behind her she hardly heard Inu Yasha mutter 'Thank god'. Kagome smiled.
"How did you die?"he traced her figures around his body. "You don't need to know that Shippo." She whispered almost crying again."So are you my new mommy?" Shippo cuddled to her."Ya, I’ll be your new mommy." Kagome kissed his head."Does that mean Inu Yasha is my daddy.""He is my mate Shippo, so yes he is." Kagome gasped out as Inu Yasha squeezed her at the kit's words. "Inu Yasha, a little to tight.""Sorry." He loosened his grip.
"So we're a great big family.""Well not a great big family but a family." Kagome laughed.
Shippo jumped out of her arms as Inu Yasha pulled her down. "We can always fix that." He growled in her ear.Kagome shivered. "Shippo, can me and.....daddy have some alone time." Shippo nodded and scampered out the door. Shutting it behind him.
Inu Yasha kissed her neck sending chills through her body. "Inu Yasha." Kagome whispered.
"What?" He ran a hand over her stomach. Kagome let out a soft moan. "Can it wait till tonight? I'm not ready.""I know." He kissed her neck once more before rolling off her and onto the pillows.
Kagome sat up and scratched her ear. She looked at Inu Yasha. His arms in no certain position. He twitched his ears and she smiled.
The covers were strung all over the bed. Kagome grabbed a lose blanket. Tossing it over Inu Yasha, she ran to the door. “Come and get me,” she called. Inu Yasha tossed the blanket away and jumped after her. Kagome squeaked and ran down the hall a playful hanyou right behind. Kagome ran by Sango and Miroku laughing. They gave her a weird look and understood when Inu Yasha ran by next. She looked back and saw he was catching up. "Time for a little fun." She whispered taking a quick left into a hall.Inu Yasha watched her turn and followed only to be met with an empty hall. He looked around but didn’t see her.
Kagome put a hand over her mouth to keep from laughing. Kaede had taught her to use her magic as a grounder and with that knowledge she learned to walk on ceilings and walls. She held her shirt in place, lucky to have put on shorts today, and walked off along the ceiling. Inu Yasha was going to be confused. Kagome walked into the kitchen still upside down. Koga sat at the bar eating eggs. Tash and Sesshomaru were next to him. Their ears twitched hearing her.
"Hello." Tash turned to look at her and say hi but found nothing.
"Sesshomaru do you always eat while reading?" She asked standing over him. "I mean business market rates aren’t that interesting." He looked up and laughed almost falling out of the chair.
Tash and Koga looked up and screamed falling out of their chairs and crawling away. Kagome smiled.
Inu Yasha burst into the room. Kagome was to high up on the ceiling for him to see without looking. "Anyone know where Kagome is? She disappeared. Why are you two screaming and on the floor?" Inu Yasha looked at Koga and his dad.
Sesshomaru continued laughing now holding his ribs. Inu Yasha looked at all of them not in on what was so funny.
"U....up." Koga gasped out. He was breathing hard due to losing his breath and screaming.
Inu Yasha looked up and finally noticed Kagome."Hi hunny." She smiled and waved.
Inu Yasha screamed like a girl and jumped back a few feet to land on the ground. Sesshomaru laughed harder if it was possible. Kagome placed her hands together as if praying and bowed to them.
She hummed as she walked downward on the walls and finally to the ground. "Well that was fun!" She cried. "What’s for lunch?" She tossed back her hair and played with it a little to get it to sit right.
"Left-overs." Sesshomaru gasped breathing and drinking what was left of his drink.
"Yuck. I'll wait till dinner." She tossed up her hands and flopped down on a seat. Tash had made his way over to her finally and was poking her body. "I'm human, you can stop ya know." Tash blushed and walked back to his seat.
"Sorry." He muttered.
"How...how the hell did you do that!?" Inu Yasha cried out.
Kagome stood up "What?" She flipped backwards and flew up in a flash of color. Her feet landing on the 15 foot high ceiling.
"THAT!" Inu Yasha yelled pointing at her.
"Kaede taught me to use my miko powers as a grounder so I just think of something else as a ground." She walked back down the wall to him. She grabbed Inu Yasha's hand and pulled him to his feet. "Here just hold on to my hand." She thought of the ceiling and they shot up. Inu Yasha barely flipped before hitting his head on the roof. He readjusted and found it kinda neat.
"This is cool." He cried out. "Now step with me and we'll go face first down a wall." She stepped with her left foot first and they slowly walked across the ceiling and down the wall to the real ground.
"THAT WAS SO COOL." Inu Yasha hugged her. "Now you can't win at hide and seek." He pointed at her as if in a 'hah' manor.
Kagome raised a eye brow to him and shook her head. She walked to the wall and waved to them before melting into it. All four men looked around in a panic. "Kagome?" Koga called.
"Yes?" She melted up from the floor in a waterfall flowing up right behind him. Koga turned white and screamed jumping up and landing like a baby in Sesshomaru's arms. Sesshomaru, who had turned at the wrong moment, dropped Koga to the ground.
Kagome shook her head to clear the dizziness. "Once more than I’m done." She fell into the floor leaving no sign.
"What is all the noise in here?" Isa walked in yelling. Eyes turned to her.
"Get her out of here I don't want to give her a heart attack." Kagome whispered almost not.
The four men nodded and rushed to get the woman out of place. "Just jokes and some other things, we’ll be quieter sorry." They said pushing her out of the door.
"Now wait a minute your covering up something." She turned and walked back into the kitchen. "What could it be.""Uhhh....mom its nothing." Inu Yasha looked round quickly.
"Sure...." Isa looked under the counter.
Tash let out a sigh. "You right we are hiding something. Kagome, dear, come on out." Kagome fell from the wall closest to the fridge.
Inu Yasha and Sesshomaru were there before she hit the floor and cleared the wall. Isa let out a gasped and sat on the counter which was the closest thing.
"What is going on here?" She gasped.
"Kagome was just playing around with me and ended up showing us some tricks. She was going to pop out of somewhere and scare us but you came in and she didn’t want to scare you like she was us and almost give you a heart attack. She told us to get you out. We know she was getting tired so we tried to hurry but you came back in and I guess Kagome used to much energy to keep hiding so she didn’t scare you." Inu Yasha talked fast, caring Kagome half with his brother. Kagome groaned and touched her head with a limp hand.
Inu Yasha gave his brother a look and together they sat her down gently. Kagome welcomed the cool floor. Inu Yasha sat behind her with her head in his lap. He touched Kagome's head and quickly removed it at the heat poring off her. "I need a bowl and glass of water and a towel or something." He commanded. Inu Yasha rubbed her ears to soothe and relax the girl in front of him. Koga brought the items to him and set them on the floor. Koga readied the towel in the very cold water and wrung it out, placing it on Kagome's head he sighed. Inu Yasha wanted to growl.
"Look Yasha. I'm starting to like Kagome, so is Sesshomaru. So stop being an ass and let us help her too. She was also doing it for us not just you." Koga growled.
Inu Yasha let out a sigh. Koga was right he was being a jerk. Okay maybe jerk wasn’t the best word. "Sorry dude." Inu Yasha grabbed the glass of water and placed it to her lips. Kagome sipped the water slowly. Inu Yasha took it from her lips. "Your guys insulation is horrible. To itchy and to hot for my liking." She whispered weakly. Everyone laughed.
Shippo came into the room. "Hello." He rushed to Kagome when he saw her on the floor. "What happened, is she alright.? You didn’t hurt her did you daddy? If you did I’ll have to hurt you. Will she live? Is she contagious?" He rambled on.
"No Shippo, I just was playing to hard and am tired." Kagome whispered.
Sango came in moments later. "O there you are. Did your tricks again didn’t you? How many did you get in this time?" "Three or Four ceilings and two disappearing acts.""Wow much better than a month ago. I mean your still awake." Sango smiled. "Anyways I found a package at the shrine. It's for you. I left it at the entrance. Also, there were a couple of letters from Dagger and Cherry blossom." She smiled again and left. "Sango." Kagome called. Sango poked her head back into the room. "Help me open it." Inu Yasha helped Kagome stand. She stood with his help a second before walking to her friend and out the door to the entrance. Koga, Inu Yasha, Sesshomaru, Isa, and Tash all followed her. They found the box and Kagome knelt next to it. Sango pulled out a knife. "I brought yours, its upstairs on your bed." Kagome nodded and took the knife offered.
She zipped open the top and opened the top. A metallic smell filled the room. Kagome looked in the box and screamed. Sango looked in after her. "Everyone out now. Inu Yasha take her to that room and leave her there lock the door if you can and run like hell. Im trusting its got a special armor around its wall. Go go go." Inu Yasha scooped the hysterical girl. "Koga, Tash, I need you to get rid of the box. Isa, go to the gardens and find some flowers or something Kagome will need them for tea to put her to sleep for a while." Inu Yasha ran back to Sango. "Inu Yasha. Warn all the demons and half demons to run to town. Kagome is going to explode in about 10 minuets. All her anger, rage, everything will be unleashed in a big blast. All demons will be purified." Sango quickly said. Tash and Koga looked in the box and quickly closed it hiding the sight. Inu Yasha raced around the house after Koga and Tash had left. Isa had ran to her garden and started to pick rose petals and chamomile. The house was evacuated and even the humans were taken to the other side of town. Sango stood on top of the cars looking towards the hidden palace.
Two minutes later a large pink light flew to the heavens. It slowly turned black and grew to what looked like a four block radius. She heard someone gulp behind her and took it for one of the family. The light grew a little more but never darker. Rain clouds covered the sky in seconds and it quickly started to rain in thick sheets. Sango still stood on the car. The black pillar of light in front of her never faltered. Lightning flashed over and around the palace.
More than half an hour later the pillar died down and disappeared with no sign of being there. Sango let out many sighs on the way back in the crammed car. Everyone insisted on ridding in the same car, luckily it was a limo but still it seemed crammed with the tension. "What was in the box?" Isa asked breaking the silence.
Tash and Koga looked at Sango who only nodded and looked out the window. "Three heads. Eyes wide open and staring into space. Scared me so bad my heart stopped but I think me and Koga were strong because Kagome took the most of it. It was her family im guessing. We have to be strong for Kagome. She needs us." Tash looked at the floor of the car.
"There was this on the box." Koga tossed a envelope to Sango. She looked it over and pulled out the knife slicing the seal open.

Sango read it over out loud before tossing it to the floor.
"Koga upgrade systems. No one comes in un less we know them. Sesshomaru, I need you to go the senate and tell them im sick and want no visitors or work delivered to the house. Inu Yasha comfort Kag. Sango, do you have any trusted friends you can have watched the shrine?""Ya, a couple people from school, they won't ask questions. Ginta and Haiku.""I know them, they're two of my cousins." Koga put in.
"Great. Well get a maid or someone to take and get cell phones for you, Miroku and them. Isa I need you to go with cook and shop. Stock up for a few months. Think of it as lock down. We have less than 5 hours to get everything down. I wont endanger my daughter-in-law before I get grandchildren or before she's been fully accepted to this family. Miroku, I want you to go with Isa." Tash took on a leader aura in seconds. Everyone nodded at their jobs.
It took close to the time limit to get everything done but in less than 5 hours the whole royal castle was under lock down. Inu Yasha had went to find Kagome to walk in on her crying. Power hummed around him. She looked up from her kneeling ball. Eyes were black and face paler than a white sheet. He stepped back a moment but thought better of it and walked forward to kneel by her. Kagome fell back and crawled away. He was hurt, she was scared of him. Inu Yasha reached out. Kagome looked at his hand but made no move to touch him. He sighed.
"Kagome, it's me. Inu Yasha come here please. I won't hurt you I promise." He whispered. She flinched but didn’t move. He didn’t want to force her to him but he was scared for her.
"What do you want?" Kagome growled. It wasn’t her kind soft side but a darker, more...evil side.Inu Yasha smiled realizing his hanyou side was to soft for this Kagome. He let his demon out and stepped back to watch from the corners of his mind.
"Come, now wench." Demon Inu Yasha growled out standing from the floor.
"Bite me why don’t you." Kagome lowered herself to the floor lower and took a pounce position.
The dog demon looked her over and licked his lips. Inu Yasha cautioned himself to not eat her but the demon part only laughed.
Inu Yasha stepped forward. Kagome moved back. She looked around wildly trying to see his next move but couldn’t.
"Stand up wench." He growled stepping closer forcing Kagome against a wall.
"No. I am fine down here." She growled.
"Your not a rat. Stand up." He took a quick step and grabbed her arm pulling her up. He looked into her eyes and she didn’t look back. "Your blind." "No shit." Kagome tried to pull her arm from him but failed.
Inu Yasha loosened his hold on her but didn’t let go. "Will you be able to see again?" His demon turned from mad to concerned about his mate."Might, might not." She tried again to free herself.
"I won't let you go." He growled. Kagome groaned and stopped trying.
"Fuck you." She growled.
"Kagome relax. Im your mate. Relax." He touched her being careful of his claws.
"I know who you are but it still don’t mean nothing. I wont be threatened by anyone. My parents are dead and I saw it. Look, I have no one! No one. Im alone and always will be." She looked to the side.
"So me and Shippo don’t matter?""Its new Inu Yasha. Im power riding still. You do matter and so does Shippo but half my heart is gone. I need to get use to it." Kagome's voice turned into a softer more shaken tune.
Inu Yasha pushed his demon away from the surface. "Kagome." He whispered pulling her to his chest.
Kagome started to cry hold onto his shirt for dear life. "Don't leave me please." She cried out.
"I won't." He picked her up in his arms and carried her upstairs. Kagome hide her face in his chest and cried. Inu Yasha sat on the couch with her. He moved so that her body and his were across the piece of furniture.
Kagome kept her eyes shut but knew where she was. Inu Yasha tilted her head up and kissed her. Someone burst into the room loudly and Kagome shot up her eyes searching the darkness.
"Holy shit." Kagome relaxed back into Inu Yasha, it was only Koga.
"What do you want Koga?" Inu Yasha growled holding Kagome to him.
"Tash and Isa sent me to check on you two, I didn’t see you in the chamber so I came in here. What the hell is up with you Kagome?" He said walking to the back of the couch to look at them.
"I'm fine." She mumbled in Inu Yasha's chest.
"Your eyes are pitch black, your not fine. Besides this whole house is still popping from your power." He knelt down and lay his head on the back and watched the couple.
"I'm fine Koga." She mumbled.
Inu Yasha held her close. My Kagome. He thought.
Kagome sneezed and sat up. Inu Yasha and Koga looked at her funny.
"You sound like a mouse." Inu Yasha smiled.
"Well gee thanks, least I don’t comment on your freight train snoring." She said poking him in the chest. Black eyes staring at him.
"I don’t snore." he cried sitting up with her on his legs.
"Yes you do, but its not like Shippo." Kagome stuck her tongue out at him like a child.
"O ya, we forgot about that huh.""Well its been busy." Koga put it. "Not surprising."
"You have to hear this." Kagome lay down on Inu Yasha again staring at Koga. "Me and Inu Yasha were in bed this morning and Shippo was passed out. We were talking and Shippo sat up. He said that my ears were pretty and that Inu Yasha had went to the bar and would be back when I went swimming." She smiled.
Koga laughed. "Dude, Kagome is hot enough, you don’t have to get trashed to see it." he commented. Inu Yasha slapped his head. "I know that, idiot." "Well anyways, Shippo fell back on the bed an a few minuets later he sat back up. This time he said: Kagome? Do we have any worms? Hogosha is hungry and is now living in the dog house. He told me to tell you Sesshomaru will need a new house since he can fit with Hogosha." Kagome copied Shippo's voice.
Koga fell back laughing. He sat up and finally calmed down. "Who's Hogosha?""My brothers stuffed panda, it's in Shippo's room. Its huge." Kagome explained."Oh.""So Shippo went back to sleep and me and Inu Yasha took turns laughing in a pillow. Moments later he sits up. 'Koga, there is a cave out back.'"Kagome said again like Shippo, '"Ayame said Sesshomaru and Inu Yasha hid your mouse there. It squeaks to loudly and the light is going out."'
Koga's mouth dropped. "Are you kidding?" Kagome shook her head. "Wow, im surprised he even mention Ayame.""Why's that?" Kagome asked.
Inu Yasha stayed silent.
"We broke up about two years ago. She wanted more than I wanted to give at the time. We had started out really fast. It lasted a year and people thought we would marry but we weren't ready. And it just ended." Kagome could hear the sadness in his voice. "Im sorry."
"Na, its cool. We fought to much behind everyone about stupid stuff."Kagome closed her eyes.
"Kagome?" Inu Yasha asked. Koga still was behind them.
"Ya?" "Im bored." She laughed. Looking at him she smiled. "You look bored.""How can you tell?" Inu Yasha's eyes widened.
"I can see you now silly." She sat up and gently slapped his chest.
"Koga, what color are her eyes?""Black."Kagome turned to him. "Huh?""How many fingers am I holding up." Koga asked. He held up his hand
"Five. Three. One. Four. Three. Two. Five. None." She said as Koga held up his fingers.
"She can see." He said finally putting his hand down.
"Kagome, look at me." Inu Yasha said.
Kagome turned to him.
"Dam." He muttered. "Hopefully your eyes will change but if you can see I doubt it." He touched her cheek. "I like the black though, what do you think Koga?" Kagome turned to Koga. "I do too. Dam, if I would have known such a hot woman was here in town I would have got you a long time ago."He smiled.
"Im not that pretty." Kagome blushed.
Both boys stared at her. "Are you nuts!" They yelled at the same time.
"No, but I know where I stand, I know im not perfect." She moved and sat on the floor against the couch.
"Your insane!" Koga vaulted over the couch. Inu Yasha moved his legs in time before Koga landed.
"Kagome, you hot, nice body, beautiful face. Kind heart." Inu Yasha shook her shoulders from the side.
"Keh, whatever.""Id like to show you how pretty you are Kagome but you aren’t mine." Koga sat back on the couch.
"Dude, go a head, right now im holding back from ripping every shred of cloth off her." Kagome turned at Inu Yasha's husky voice. Kagome turned a little more and saw Koga with the same lust in his eyes.
"No, she's yours, I’d have to mark her under your permission or challenge you. And we're too close for that shit." Koga said still staring at her.
Kagome crawled away from the couch backwards keeping both eyes on them.
"Now that’s just teasing." Inu Yasha whined.
"Ya it is." Koga followed. Kagome bumped the wall and stopped only feet from them. The TV only inches to her right.
"Im not liking that look in both of your eyes." Kagome whispered.
"Koga, im not one to share but, GET HER!" Inu Yasha launched off the couch in a playful but wanting manner. Koga lunged behind him.
Kagome squeaked and scrambled from the wall, past both of them and out of the living room into the main room.
Inu Yasha and Koga crashed out right behind her.
"Crap." She whispered starting up the stairs hoping to find a room to lock herself in. Half way up she was met by a wolf. Kagome squeaked and turned around. Inu Yasha stood right behind her. Kagome sighed.
"Give up?" Koga pushed himself against her back. "Never." Kagome dodged to the right and into the wall. Disappearing from view.
She came out in Shippo's room. Shippo looked up from his book as Kagome came out of the wall.
"Hi." She said panting running for the door.
Inu Yasha ran by in a flash. Kagome shut the door as he passed. She turned the lock and slid down the door in a pile.
"What are you doing?" Shippo asked setting his book down.
"Hiding from two hungry dogs." She panted.
Outside Kagome could hear Inu Yasha and Koga talking.
"Why don’t you just feed them?" Shippo crawled towards her, sitting in the middle of the room feet from her."Can't, they don’t want food." Kagome laughed. "Umm. Well you might also want to lock the closet." Shippo went back to his seat and grabbed his book again.
"Why?" Kagome said plainly.
"It's got a escape door in the back of it. It leads to the next room and out." Shippo turned the page.
"Shoot." Kagome jumped to the door but it slammed open.
"Kagome, come play." Inu Yasha smiled and laughed. He pounce but missed as Kagome ducked to the side.
Koga pounce and also missed.
"Bye Shippo." Kagome called shutting the door and running to hide again. She looked around and ran back downstairs as Inu Yasha and Koga came into the main hall.
"Kagome, we just want to play." They called.
"I'll pass." She called running into the kitchen.
"Awww...Come on Kag." Inu Yasha yelled outside the doors.
Kagome wasn’t sure what two demons could do but she didn’t want to find out. She could sit Inu Yasha but it wouldn’t really do anything, Koga would still be free. She let out a sigh and sat down in the corner.
The door opened and both demons walked in. Kagome gulped.
"Come here baby." Inu Yasha called.
Koga pointed to her and they walked towards the corner to block her in.
"Baby? What’s wrong, we wont hurt you." Koga knelt down and touched her face. Kagome growled and jerked away.
"Im not your baby. Im not a dog toy, im me. Kagome Higurashi." She slapped his hand away.
"Feisty." Inu Yasha bent in and kissed her neck. Kagome shivered as heat flowed through her body. He did it again.
"Inu Yasha." Kagome growled trying to clear her head.
The door opened. Kagome relaxed for the moment as both demons looked at the intruder.
"Kagome, there ye are my child, we have a problem." Kaede walked over to her. Koga and Inu Yasha took a protective stance.
"What?" Kagome asked weakly.
"Your cousin is coming home." She looked not happy.
"Who?"Kaede looked at Inu Yasha then back to Kagome.
"Shit.
Kagome stood up and pushed past her defensive wall. "When does she arrive?"Kagome stalked out to the dinning room ignoring the growls from behind that were following.
"The fight is 14 hours long, she left an hour ago." Kaede struggled to keep pace.
"Well, things just got more complex."
"What will ye do?"Inu Yasha and Koga touched Kagome as they walked.
"This sucks. Badly." She stopped and turned. "Inu Yasha you still want me?""Yes." "Kagome, what are ye doing child?" Kaede stopped and watched.
"Do you love me Inu Yasha?"
"Yes." he looked to Koga then back to Kagome.
"My cousin, the one person that said no to you, is coming back to the shrine to visit. I need to know if you will try to be with her." Kagome looked at the floor.
"You are mine Kagome, my mate, not her." Inu Yasha touched her chin and forced her to look at him.
"Then we have to finish it." Kagome's voice faltered but her eyes still showed strong.
"Kagome, your not just mine." Inu Yasha turned his head and took his turn looking at the floor.
"What do you mean?" Kagome looked back and forth between Koga and him.
"In the living room I offered you to Koga." Kagome eyes stared between both men. "Its his choice to say yes or no, if he says yes you belong to both of us. If he says no then your just mine." Koga touched her shoulder. "I love you Kagome. I wont put you through it." Kagome turned to Koga. His eyes full of tears.
"No, if you want me say it. Inu Yasha offered me to you. Now its your choice. You know at one point we will have feelings for each other and something might happen. Take care of it now. I wont cheat." Kagome stood strong. "When you decide, I'll be upstairs waiting." She turned and started up the stairs. Deep down she wanted Koga but Inu Yasha was her mate. She wanted Koga to come but couldn’t make him without Inu Yasha felling like she didn’t want him either. She was stuck between two armies.
She reached Inu Yasha's room. So much had happened in two days. "The new beginning." She whispered pushing open the door. Inu Yasha's king size bed stood out in the dark room. Taking a shaky step forward she walked to it. It was made. Touching the sheets, Kagome sat down on the edge. She reached back and grabbed the knife Sango said she had left. It was a gift from her father.
Inu Yasha walked in first. Kagome gave him a smile and stood up to meet him half way, slipping the knife into its sheath and into the hem of her shorts. She hugged him tightly taking in every little smell. The door closed. Kagome looked up, Koga stood inside the door.
"Hi." he muttered.
Kagome let go of Inu Yasha and kissed his lips quickly. She stepped up to Koga. He looked away. Kagome turned his head sharply and kissed him fiercely. Koga kissed back.
Inu Yasha laughed as Koga stood there not knowing what to do with the kiss. "This should be fun. Dude lock the door." Koga pulled away from Kagome and locked the door. Inu Yasha grabbed the knife from Kagome's back and set it down on a dresser. Kagome led Koga to the bed. She lay down on the bed and sighed. Yawning, she stretched out on the bed.
"You seem tired." Koga sat on the edge of the bed, almost off, and stared at Kagome.
"Little." she yawned again.
Inu Yasha pulled the blinds shut before coming to the bed. He lay down beside Kagome and wrapped a arm around her waist. His hand played with the hem of her shirt. Kagome sat up as Inu Yasha pulled it off. Koga gulped and reached out for her. Kagome let Koga's hand touch her skin. Inu Yasha sat up behind her and nibbled at his mark. Kagome threw her head back and growled. Koga moved forward and kissed he other side of her neck cover the collar bone. Kagome dug her hands into the sheets. Inu Yasha pulled away and gave a quick look to Koga before renewing his mark. Kagome screamed.
Koga bit seconds later. Kagome let out a long scream again. Both demons let go. "Don’t stop till your completely done." Kagome whispered before passing out.
Kagome woke up to a dark room and two warm bodies around her. She shivered and tried to sit up. Two hands tightened on her waist and made the pain in her gut pound. She hissed and lay back down. Koga smiled at her and opened his eyes. The second hand tightened on her waist and Inu Yasha sat up behind her. Kagome shivered again and curled up between both of them. Inu Yasha pulled a blanket from near the bottom and covered her.
"Morning." They muttered to her
"Hi." She wiped her eyes and pulled the blanket closer. "What time is it?" "Four A.M." Koga yawned and let himself crawl under the blanket with Kagome.
Inu Yasha followed and pulled Kagome to his chest and Koga pushed against her in front.
"When did we come to bed?"
"About 6 or 7." Inu Yasha stroked her thigh.
Lets say 6. Its 4 now. So that’s 11 hours?" she muttered.
"I don’t know it's to early to do math." Both said.
"Then add an hour. So that’s 12, and the flight is 14 hours." Kagome sighed. "That’s two hours!" She sat up quickly and hissed as pain exploded all over. "Screw it, Kikyo can kiss my butt. Im tired and I hurt and someone wants me dead if not something where I wish I was dead." She flopped back down. "The world can kiss my butt today, im not moving." She yawned again.
"I beg to differ." Koga muttered poking her stomach. A loud growl echo through the room.
"Shut up stomach, shut up Koga. Don’t you start Inu Yasha." Kagome said with no emotion. Inu Yasha and Koga laughed.
"Kagome?""Ya?
"Can you take this beads off now, cant we." Inu Yasha asked.
Kagome looked behind her. Inu Yasha and Koga moved so she could turn. She smiled and removed the beads, tossing them to the ground on the side of the bed.
"Thanks." He kissed her and smiled.
Their stomachs growled again this time all at once.
"Stupid stomach, im not moving," Kagome growled.
"Come on dude lets go get food and bring it up here and go back to bed." Koga stood up and stretched.
"Ya your right. We'll grab the game systems and hook them up in here. I haven't tried the new TV yet." Inu Yasha tossed the blanket over Kagome. "We'll be right back baby." He kissed her head and grabbed his shorts off the ground. Koga led the way also wearing his shorts from yesterday.
Kagome started to drift back to sleep by the time they returned.
"We're back." Koga said pulling a cart. Inu Yasha came in pushing it.
"Wake up sleepy head." he yelled once the door was shut.
"Im awake." Kagome muttered pushing the blanket off her head.
Inu Yasha placed a tray of food in from of her and lay down with his own. Koga lay down on the other side of Kagome and began eating.
Kagome took her time eating. Inu Yasha and Koga watched as she finished. "That was good, im done." She commented.
"Cool." Koga took her tray and placed it on the cart. He bent down out of sight and stood holding a playstation2. He tossed a controller to Inu Yasha and walked over to a wall. Inu Yasha grabbed the remote from the night stand and poked some bottons. Kagome watched as the wall disappeared into the floor. A huge screen left in its place. Inu Yasha poked a few more bottons and it turned on. Koga plugged in the game system and turned it on.
Kagome watched for the next hour as Koga and Inu Yasha worked together playing Final Fantasy. Finally she laughed as they both got stuck on a part.
"What’s so funny." Koga growled pressing buttons on his controller.
Inu Yasha ran ahead of him in circles.
"You two stuck?" Kagome laughed.
"No, we've beat this before like a million times." Koga said.
Kagome smiled knowing he was lying. "Who's got main controller?" She asked laying on the bed to watch.
"Me." Inu Yasha said jumping.
"Give." She commanded. He looked at her doubtingly but handed his controller to him. Fifteen minutes later she handed it back to him.
"Show off." Koga muttered.
"No, my grandpa and dad were just computer programmers. They designed this game I tested it." Kagome shrugged and lay down on her pile of pillows again.
"Show off." Inu Yasha teased.
"I'm also in the process of testing three new fighting games not even announced and 2 other nicknack games. Plus I have the new Wii." she yawned.
"Where!?" Koga and Inu Yasha turned quickly and stared at her. "At the shrine. In my room under the bed. I finished like 4 of the games all ready. Under my brothers bed is some other different games, more for littler kids like Shippo." Kagome thought a moment. "My closet it full of games I beat and finished multiple times. You can have em' if you want, I memorized all the codes and stuff. What else is there?" Inu Yasha and Koga were at the bed side now. "I have tons of games for all the game boys. Plus those. Dam I cant think what else I have."“I was in your room. No way could you have all that.""Ya but my parents room is small, half the second floor is my closet. It was shut partly when you were over." She looked at him.
"Dam." Inu Yasha growled.
"Im sure if you bribe Sango enough she'll take 10 or so trucks over and get everything." "Ten trucks. Of games, no way is that possible. Not in your closet. May be 1 moving truck." Koga crossed his arms.
"No all the warehouses and unused temples are full of games. We have 5 acres of shrine. Lots of room. They all just piled up." Kagome rolled over pulling the covers over her. "Like I said, bribe Sango. Im not leaving the grounds, some crazy person is after me."Koga and Inu Yasha smiled. They charged out the door and down the hall. "ARE YOU NUTS? IT'S 8 IN THE MORNING. GO GET THEM YOURSELF." Kagome heard Sango scream.
10 minuets later Sango stomped into the room fully dressed. Inu Yasha and Koga followed "Everything?" she growled.
"Take Koga let him help you, bring the Wii, but only give it to me, im not done with it, the remote is in the night stand drawer. Keys to the warehouses and the temples are there too. Get all the stuff out of my parents room and Souta's room. Grab the mail and feed Buho. I think that’s it."
"We'll be back around one. Kikyo will be with us. Sadly." She remarked stomping out. Koga followed her out.
At 12:30 Sango and Koga returned. Kagome looked over the couch and waved.
"We had to call another 2 trucks to your ten Kagome." Koga kissed her head.
Inu Yasha looked up from the floor. "Want help unloading? Most of it will go out back in the double warehouse."
"Dude, it will take forever to unload." Koga sighed.
"Anyways, your cousin is still in the car. Something about needing to fix her make-up." Sango waved it off.
"Gee, good thing I took a shower and crap." Kagome rolled her eyes. "Combed my hair that’s it."
"Well the Wii is in the back of the car along with all the systems. Koga said they had most of them but we still brought them. Here's the mail." Sango tossed a bunch of letters down on Kagome. "Mostly school teachers."Kagome sighed flipping through them. "Lets go take care of everything. We'll bring a few in and play them tonight." She got up slowly. "So much for not doing anything." Everyone worked together, Tash and Isa had even helped when they got home from work. Kagome, Isa, and Sango and worked to set up and sort them all into rows. The men brought the boxes. Kagome wanted to strangle Sesshomaru every five minutes. He kept asking to borrow a game or something. Kikyo sat at the entrance to the warehouse watching and messing with her nails. Before dusk the men has taken off their shirts and had tossed them somewhere. Near 6, Isa looked at her watch as Inu Yasha, Koga and Sesshomaru brought in the last boxes. Kagome gladly took them and placed them on a shelf against the wall next to Kikyo.
"Well, that was fun." Kagome said. "Im hungry." Inu Yasha smiled and walked with Koga to her. "Ewww...would you two get away from me. I’ll let you hug and kiss me after you've had a shower." She put up her hands and smiled.
“Why don’t we all take a shower and go out to dinner. Forget lock down. We're all together." Tash smiled and hugged his wife.
Miroku stood up from the floor. "Sounds good." He and Sango walked out.
"Kikyo why don’t you go change, and let Kaede know to get ready, she's in the kitchen probably flirting with cook." Kagome smiled Kikyo nodded and left.
"Well if we're all taking a shower, that means..." Inu Yasha grabbed Kagome and pulled her against his bare chest.
Kagome laughed. Koga pressed himself against her back. They kissed her and Kagome stood not really doing anything. Inu Yasha and Koga stopped after a while. They grabbed her hands and started walking back to the house. Kagome ran in front of them a little ways.
"Last one back to the house is last to shower." She took off running. Kagome finished first, then Koga and finally Inu Yasha. Kagome smiled and walked up the stairs. Inu Yasha and Koga followed. "Boys, do me a favor and pick me out something to wear.” She stripped and walked as she went to the bathroom.
Kagome came out in a towel. On the bed was a pile of clothes. Koga went into the bathroom. Kagome finished dressing and growled. Inu Yasha stared at her. Koga came out and stopped outside the door. Kagome wore a pair of tight black jeans and a baggy red shirt, complements of Inu Yasha. "It feels different." She spun around and looked at her self.
"Shirts a bit big but it looks fine." Inu Yasha stood and went to take his shower.
Everyone met down in the living room. Kikyo dress was the most out of place. She wore a sliver cocktail dress that just looked ugly. Kagome tried not to laugh. Sango and Miroku came in moments later. Shippo came down the stairs."It’s a rat." Kikyo screamed pointing at the boy.
Inu Yasha and Koga along with Sesshomaru had to hold Kagome back from hitting her.
"Come here son." Kagome said finally calm.
"That..that thing is your son." Kikyo pointed once again at Shippo.
Kagome growled. She held Shippo in one arm as she pulled off the sock hat to show her ears. "No he's my adopted son but call him an 'it', I dare you." Kikyo stepped back. "Your more out of place than before, explain to me why I shouldn't prove to you that more stronger then you again?"Kikyo gulped. "S..sorry.""No your not." Kagome growled
"Look, my parents sent me here because things are all messed up in the states. They said I would be safer here. Not like I wanted to come back to this horrible place." Kikyo yelled.
"Least you have parents!" Kagome screamed.
"You do to, you just don’t care."
Kagome shoved Shippo to Inu Yasha and charged Kikyo, Tash and Sesshomaru didn’t dare interfere. Koga was trying not to grab Kagome. Inu Yasha held Shippo trying to calm the boy from earlier comments.
"Kikyo! That's it." Kagome's still black eyes shone bright."This is my family! My real birth and blood family is DEAD! Don't go saying shit about me not caring because its not true! I had school, work, friends. So I stayed behind. Dad said I could. I hate traveling. I'm always ignored. Besides it was business. I could really careless on what my parents did. But I still loved them. Your lucky I don’t feel like hurting you but say any more about my family and I will. My mates, my son, and my friends are my only family, say one thing bad and I wont hold back from frying you."Kikyo backed up. "I didn’t know.""Im sure." Kagome turned and returned to Inu Yasha and Koga. Shippo scrambled to her.
"Why do you hate me?""Hate? Why do I hate you? Gee that’s a stupid question. You were a bitch to me when we kids. You almost killed me. And I saved your ass, and I only got more shit from you. I should have let you die when you cut yourself. I almost died kikyo because of you. I was in the hospital for 8 months." Kagome kissed Shippo to calm to sniffling boy.
"It was an accident.""Gee Kikyo make up something better than that. You aimed a powered up arrow at my heart less than 5 feet away. You didn’t even bother to try and save me as I bled to death. Your lucky your not in prison." Shippo hugged Kagome. "Kikyo, leave us alone." Kagome finally turned to her cousin. "I'd send you to the shrine, but I want to keep an eye on you. Someone wants me dead. I wont put my almost twin in my place." She turned back to Inu Yasha and blinked away tears.
Tash and Isa walked to Kagome and hugged her. Sesshomaru, Koga and Inu Yasha hugged her also. Sango and Miroku stayed leaning against the wall.
Kaede sat a chair near them.
"That’s it, you've got better treatment than me for years. I tried to be better but no everything is Kagome this and Kagome that. I challenge you to death Higurashi." Kikyo screamed.
Time seemed to freeze. Everyone looked at Kikyo. The men growled flashing fangs. Kyade and Isa were shocked.
"Fine, pick your death." Kagome growled very pissed.
"Mommy don't do it, I don’t want to lose you too." Shippo started to cry again.
"Full out. Bring on all you got." Kikyo screamed.
"Sango, go get my knife, let me borrow your blade too. Shippo I need you to be strong, show me you’re a big boy." She looked at Inu Yasha. "I need you to do the blood thing again. Please. Tash, Isa, Miroku find us someplace to fight. Koga. Just stay with me." Kagome let out many deep breaths. Sango came back with a large katana and the knife Kagome's dad had gave her. Sango handed them to Kagome.
Kagome pulled off the shirt and tied the sword around her waist, she slipped the knife into the belt. Tash came back carrying a red bundle.
"Its Inu's but right now, we all want you to wear it, it wont get ruined or anything." He handed it to Kagome, she slipped it on.
"Thank you." She smiled.
"Hold on." Koga raced off. He returned caring a longer katana than Sango's. "Its part of my tribes. It wont break, and is forged from my fang." Sesshomaru and Miroku walked in the room. Sesshomaru held a knife. He handed it to Inu Yasha who cut his arm and Kagome's. He place both wounds together and let the blood mix.
"Give me that." Koga grabbed the knife and slit his arm. He placed it on Kagome's arm after Inu Yasha. "Don't die on us." He said.
Kagome turned. "Kaede do you still have my bow and arrows?" "Hai, they are in the library.""Sango. Please." Kagome looked herself over. She felt light like air. Sango returned carrying a very large cherry wood bow. The string was new and arrow sharpened. "Thanks.”
Kikyo and Kagome faced off 50 feet from each other. Kaede stood out to the side. "Fight to death. Good luck, begin." She called. Kagome knocked an arrow and fired. A pink light flowed around it. Kikyo dodged it. Kagome fired off the rest of her arrows but one. Kikyo was now barely missing them. Kagome let Kikyo charge her and fired the last one at less than 10 feet. Kikyo received the arrow in the shoulder.
"You bitch." She screamed.
Kagome rolled her eyes and waited for Kikyo to get closer. "You’re right, my mates are dogs, my family is dogs, that would make me one too." Kagome yelled. She drew both katanas at an angle, and ran to Kikyo at an amazingly fast speed. She cut the arrow and cut a slash in Kikyo's arms before running a few feet away. Kikyo fell to the ground a bloody mess.
"Come on Kikyo, use you powers." Kagome taunted.
Kikyo stood up slowly. She gritted her teeth and shot a large ball of blue energy at Kagome. Kagome easily dissolved it. "gee and at one point you could actually hit me. This is a waist of my time." Kagome turned and started at leave.
"Kagome look out!" Kagome looked at her family and turned around. A ball of blue energy bigger than a door flew towards her. Kagome didn’t have time to do much before it crashing into her. Kikyo smiled as she watched her cousin be absorbed but the light. Once the dust cleared Kagome was no where in sight.
Kaede stepped forward. "Kikyo has won, due to the death of Kagome Higurashi." Her voice broken.
Kagome flowed from the ground up behind Kikyo. "That hurt." She hissed in the woman’s ear. The knife pressed tightly on Kikyo's throat. With her other hand Kagome slabbed Kikyo with her fingers in the neck and twisted them. Kikyo gasped before falling to the ground in a heap. Kagome panted heavily but reached out with a thread of power and fed it to the bitch before her, tying any source of power she had. Kagome smiled as she fell to the ground on her back. She stabbed the ground with the knife and untied the swords from her waist. Inu Yasha and Koga were at her side squeezing her. The others were there above her.
"Dam, that hurts." She gasped out. Koga and Inu Yasha let go of the girl but held her up. Kagome pulled the shirt off and tossed it to Tash. "It helped." She hissed. Inu Yasha slowly moved his fingers along Kagome's chest and stomach. She screamed as he touched certain parts.
"Well your breast plate and ribs are pretty messed up. Either broke or splintered. Nothing that wont be healing in two or three days." He smiled and kissed Kagome's cheek.
Shippo sat down in front of Kagome careful not to touch her. "Your strong."Kagome leaned forward and grabbed him hugging the kit close to her chest. The pain was harsh but she ignored it. "Not really." Kagome looked up at the moon and stars that lit the area. "Im still hungry though." She laughed but hissed in pain.
"Come lets go wrap your chest than go out and eat." Kaede said leading the way to the house. Inu Yasha watched as Koga carried Kagome. He held her hand as they walked.
Once inside Kaede took bandages and wrapped Kagome's torso. Kikyo came in once the last pin was place and Kagome was putting on her shirt.
"What did you do to me you whore!" It didn’t sound like a question so Kagome didn’t answer.
Inu Yasha and Koga pushed past Kikyo and lead the way out and to the waiting limo. Kikyo watched as they left her standing in the door.
It was late when the gang returned to the place. They happily walked in. Kikyo was no where in sight. Kagome said her good-nights and went upstairs. She changed for bed and lay down. Shippo had been tucked in. Koga and Inu Yasha were doing some last minuet things before joining her. Kagome smiled and closed her eyes.
Morning came and went, it was late in the afternoon when Kagome opened her eyes to a room full of sun. She turned and found Koga still asleep. Inu Yasha was on the floor playing one of her old games. She yawned and Inu Yasha looked back. "Evening."
"Nice to see you alive." He smiled.
"Huh?" Kagome sat up the coves falling away. She was still partly asleep.
"Idiot over there crashed into the room last night after one too many drinks. We thought for sure you would wake up but you didn’t move. He even screamed good night to the whole house. Shippo yelled at him for waking him up. Koga was trashed." Inu Yasha paused the game and stood up. "He should be out for a few more hours. You hungry?"The sound of food repulsed Kagome she shook her head and sat up. The bandages still tight on her body. "I feel like I got hit by a truck.:Inu Yasha stood in front of Kagome, he rubbed her head as she placed it on his stomach. He rubbed her ears and smiled as she, like him, started purring. "Tonight is the full moon." She whispered. "I wonder if the night will be warm enough to go swimming under it." "Probably." Inu Yasha looked at Kagome as she fidgeted. He smiled and started laughing.
"What so funny." Kagome looked up at him.
"Koga." Kagome looked at Koga who was wide awake staring at Kagome's back.
"Huh?" Kagome looked at both of them.
Koga's hand moved under the blankets. Kagome squeaked and blushed. She batted at him. "Don’t do that." She whined.
"She..." Koga looked at Kagome.
Kagome was confused. Inu Yasha laughed almost crying.
"Well that is interesting." He laughed. "Smile." Kagome gave he a confused look but smiled none the less.
She touched her teeth with her tongue and tasted blood. Fangs. She thought. Kagome grabbed the edge of the cover and tossed them aside. Koga's hand was on top of a fuzzy black tail. Kagome gulped and poked at it feeling the touch shiver through her back. Koga touched her tail again gently petting the soft fur. Kagome shivered. She flicked it out and hit Koga across the nose.
A knock at the door brought all the attention from Kagome to it."Who is it?" Inu Yasha called.
"It's me daddy, I can't sleep, but im so tired." A small voice called.
Kagome looked around quickly and scrambled under the covers. Everyone had clothes on. Koga moved out of the bed and to the floor near the game station.
"Come on in." Inu Yasha called.
The door creaked open and Shippo looked in. He was pale and sick looking.
"Come here baby." Kagome motioned to her side. Shippo moved slowly to the bed. He crawled up the tall bed slowly instead of jumping. Kagome opened the covers to let the boy crawl in next to her. "Im cold." He complained. Kagome felt his head.
"You have a fever." Kagome said worried. Inu Yasha touched the boy by his mate and looked at Kagome. Kagome crawled out of bed and quickly ran out of the room and to the kitchen. She searched the cabinets and found a can of broth. She put it on the stove and ran back upstairs and to his room. She quickly grabbed the stuffed panda and dropped it off in Inu Yasha's room before running back down stairs in time for the broth to be done. Poring it into a bowl and slowly making her way up the stairs and into the bedroom. Shippo was in Inu Yasha arms wrapped in a blanket. Koga was propping the bear near the bed. Kagome sat down on the bed and placed the bowl of broth on the night stand and motioned for Inu Yasha to give her Shippo. He handed the boy over and Kagome held him in one arm as she reached for the bowl and placed it next to her. Shippo slowly drank the spoon fulls of broth Kagome offered. Inu Yasha and Koga changed games and started playing.
Shippo passed out once he was done eating.
Kagome placed the empty bowl back on the night stand and moved to a more comfortable position. She watched Koga die many times before helping him past a certain point. Inu Yasha was doing good but kept going the wrong way. Hours passed and finally Shippo began to stir. Kagome felt his head but the fever was still there just not as bad.
"Mommy?""Im here Shippo." Kagome whispered.
"Can you sing to me again." He looked up at her and smiled.
"What do you want to hear?"
"I don't know." He yawned and cuddled closer to her.
"Inu Yasha a little help here." he looked at Kagome but shrugged. "Koga. I need a song, know anything?" He shook his head no. "Gee you’re a lot of help. Umm....

Kagome smiled as Shippo started to fall back to sleep. She hummed the song until he was asleep. Koga smiled and returned to the game still thinking of Kagome's song. Inu Yasha smiled and remembered the time alone in the garden when she had sung to him. Kagome sat Shippo on the bed and moved. She stood stretching asleep muscles. Looking at the clock Kagome leaned back popping her back."My turn." She said unplugging the play station. "Hey!" Koga pouted. Kagome laughed and walked over to the closet. She pulled out a suitcase and opened it up and retrieved her Wii. Plugging it in she placed a game in and grabbed the remote and wires. Inu Yasha stepped back knowing that the Wii was a full movement console. Koga moved to lean against the bed and watched as Kagome smiled. She turned at watched the screen as the title flashed up. Mortal combat. Kagome picked her settings and began fighting her way through enemy after enemy. After a good 20 battles Kagome paused the game and sat down. "Anyone else?" She panted Inu Yasha stood up and took the controls from her. She moved out of the way and watched as Inu Yasha died over and over. Koga laughed watching his friend lose. Finally Inu Yasha got annoyed and stopped."What else do you have?" He asked panting"Not much for Wii. I've only had it for a few weeks. That’s the only game im not done testing. The graphics are a bit slow compared to the person but its still good." Kagome yawned."Well im bored." Koga stood up stretching. "Same here." Inu Yasha pulled Kagome to him and took in her scent. Kagome got an urge to lick his jaw and slowly did so.Inu Yasha shivered pulling Kagome tighter against his body. His hand moved under her night shirt and tickled her ribs. Kagome jerked back laughing. Koga smiled and grabbed Shippo."Why don't we go out. Kaede can watch Shippo and call us if she needs anything. The lock down I guess is off considering we've all left grounds and nothing has happened." Koga opened the door and walked down the hall replacing Shippo in his bed. Koga came back in the room to find Kagome and Inu Yasha on the bed making out. "Gee leave for a second and hell breaks loose." He walked over and leaned against the bed post. Kagome looked at him and smiled.Inu Yasha kissed her neck and Kagome couldn't help but moan. He pushed hard against Kagome. Koga bit his lip remembering the other nights fun. He crawled across the bed to Kagome. "I thought we were going out tonight." Kagome moaned as Inu Yasha nibbled at he neck."We are, but we're busy right now." Inu Yasha growled.Koga laughed petting Kagome's flicking tail. Inu Yasha's hand lifted her shirt and he lifted her to take if off with the other. Kagome laughed as Koga and Inu Yasha had to move to work with each other.
Hours later Kagome dress in a pair of jeans and a tank top with leather coat her bandages long gone. Inu Yasha and Koga got dressed also. They walked out and Kagome couldn’t help but blush as she remembered what they had done. Her body still humming with the contact. She smiled at herself and hopped down the steps. Inu Yasha had called for a normal car but Koga felt to wild for it and argued for motorcycles. Kagome's ears perked up at the mention of a motorcycle. Koga watched as Kagome picked a black Honda. He smiled and watched as she slid the helmet on and waited for them. Her eyes hidden by the dark eye shield. Koga and Inu Yasha put on helmets and loaded their bikes also. Kagome turned on her bike, revved the engine and raced out. It took a moment for Inu Yasha and Koga to catch up. Kagome did a quick wheely, shifting gears, and flew down the road listening as her followers had trouble. Smiling under the helmet she made a quick left heading on to a road the led out of town and to the dirt mounds. Inu Yasha flew up to her side and motioned for her to slow down and pull over. She complied minutes later."How well can you ride Kagome?" Koga asked pulling the helmet off."I don't know, I've never competed in competition but can do more stunts then pros can." She held her helmet in her lap leaning on it."Pros?" Inu Yasha stuttered."I spent 2 years with my Uncle, he is a biker and a racer. He showed me some stuff. The fastest I've hit is 170." she smiled."And your human!" Koga all but screamed. "Well we'll see, lead the way Kagome.""I must warn you the last bike I was on got totaled when we tried to do a cross over. Just stay out of the way when im in the air. I was in the hospital for 3 months because of it." She shivered and replaced the helmet.Inu Yasha and Koga looked at each other and hurried to follow Kagome who was taking off.
The dirt mounds were a 25 mile radius of hills where bikers practiced and hung out. The hills were crowded. Kagome followed by her mates slowly moved by the many people who was wandering around or pushing the bikes. A gang of men, Kagome noticed, were pointing and whispering among themselves about her little group. Kagome held up her hand and heard Inu Yasha and Koga stop. She revved the engine and a path cleared in seconds. A line of dirt hills laid out in front of her. All eyes on her, the unknown rider.Kagome revved twice more before taking off. Inu Yasha and Koga debated on following but stayed. Kagome rushed towards the first of 10 hills and raced up it. Once sky born she completely let go and flew off the bike and into the air in a spin. Coming closer to the ground she flipped forward and landed on the seat. She revved and hit the ground in a cloud of dust. Behind her was a loud thunder of cheers and whistles. She slowly returned to her waiting comrades and pulled her helmet off. "KAGOME! YOUR BACK!" A lot of watchers yelled. Koga and Inu Yasha puled off their own helmets and gave her a smile. "So you can ride." Koga called.Eyes turned to him and quiet murmurs flooded the area. "Meet my second family." She motioned to the group gathered around. "Falcon there can pull a triple 360 bike flip." She pointed to a bird demon to the right who was seated on a Harley. He smiled and nodded to them. "Angel over can fly up to 100 feet in the air, she also hold the longest superman recorded." Kagome blew a kiss to a girl dressing in leather off the left. The girl, no older than 22, blushed. "I could go on, but this is what my Uncle did, he made this all a family. And cherry blossom is our mechanic. Where ever she is." Kagome looked around. "Im here." I girl called coming out from behind a wall of people. Kagome smiled and blew a kiss to the girl.
“So who is that Kag, is it you boyfriend?” A man teased.
“O haha, no they are not for your information.” Kagome smiled and winked to Inu Yasha and Koga.
“So?” Someone pushed.
“My mates.” Kagome smiled.
Hushed whispers erupted all around.
“Now hun. Some of us come from down under, mind clearing it up a bit for us.” A man asked and looked confused as some of the others.
“They are my husbands, in demon law.” Kagome pulled the sock cap off to show her ears, and pushed the back of her pants down a bit to let her tail out. Cheering and yells of congratulations sprang out.
“You know Kagome, we do have to test them to make sure these boys can ride.” Dagger Isamiki, another one of her friends, smiled. Kagome only nodded still looking at Inu Yasha and Koga. “That and you have to be branded now.” Kagome didn’t seem to really be surprised.
“Branded?” Koga turned the engine of his bike off and sat back more, “I mean the riding I don’t mind, I love to ride but you being branded Kagome I don’t like.”
“The riding will test if you can be the leader’s mates, the branding proves to other bikers and all who know the rules of our laws, im taken.” She turned off the engine and crawled off the bike.
Inu Yasha growled and followed his friends. He stepped up next to Koga once done. “Im with Koga on this one.”
“Cherry B, can you call up Rakuin and let him know we need a set up for Kag.” Falcon smiled and watched as Cherry Blossom pulled out her cell and began talking. “Niko, Shard, start setting up the track for us. We need four lanes. Dagger why don’t you help me explain everything to Inu Yasha and Koga. Angel take 5 or 6 of your choice and set up the lights lets have a party. Everyone else start calling, we need drinks and stuff. Lets make dad proud, now move out.” Kagome yelled.
“Nice to have you back again Kag.” They yelled and quickly set to the tasks assigned with smiles.
For the next hour, as the sun set, the bikers set up. More arrived with supplies and just random things. Kagome and Dagger explained to Koga and Inu Yasha everything. Well at least what they needed to know. Koga convinced Inu Yasha to let Kagome get the brand after a little dealing. She could get the tattoo only if she got two more tattoos that were a dog and a wolf. Kagome agreed, one because it was the only way, and two, because she planed on it anyways.
Kagome pulled out her cell and speed dialed the number to the house. On the third ring Sango finally picked up in hysterics.
“Kagome where are you! Your knife and cell were missing and Inu Yasha and Koga aren’t here.” She shrieked.
“They are with me, and I brought my knife for my own reasons. But we are fine. Who’s all there?” She asked almost laughing.
“Everyone but you guys.”
“Speaker phone.” Kagome asked.
“Yeah hold on.” Kagome heard a click. “Ok.”
“Hi everyone, Im fine.”
“Thank god.” What sounded like the world said.
“Anyways. Why don’t you eat and come join us. Its kinda of a party out here.” She had to yell the last part as a bike revved off the start line. “Is that why all the lights are out and the town is packed!?” A hit of laugher was in Sango’s voice.
“Ya, ride bikes down is all I can say. No one here really cares about titles tonight, just mine, I’ve got 4 hours before I get branded and marked.” Kagome looked up at the sky. “They planed the first mark at midnight.”
“Your kidding!”
“Nope, I want everyone there. Inu Yasha and Koga made a deal with me, I can do it but have to get on of a wolf and dog also.”
Sango laughed. “Your family is very confused, its funny. Should we tell them?”
“I’m part of a gang and plan on getting two tattoos tonight. Im leader of a biker gang that is throughout all of Japan. My uncle started it when he was a kid and it was one of the reasons why I loved to stay here when he went on his trips with dad. They are about 500 of us and we are the best at what we do.” Kagome said walking around and watching others.
“Well that explains a lot.” Tash said.
“Well go eat something and Sango will show you the way over, bring bikes if you can. Other wise you’ll be very out of place. Kaede don’t have to come but I want Shippo with me. I got to go though, im racing in three minuets against Inu Yasha, Koga and a friend. Wish us luck and see you soon.” She hung up and rushed off the her bike.
Inu Yasha waited in lane two as Koga pulled up in three and Dagger in four.
“Where is Kag?” He asked pulling on his helmet and turning on the engine.
“Im here.” Kagome panted pushing the bike up to the line. “Had to call up everyone else.” She mounted the bike and pulled on her helmet. Turning on the engine she waited until the flag dropped before racing away from her opponents. Dagger raced in second shifting fast to catch up. Koga and Inu Yasha were one on one.
The finish line came into sight and Kagome flew around the last turn with a fish tail hardly losing much speed. Dagger fell behind by far and finished right behind her. Inu Yasha and Koga came up a few seconds later with a tie.
Kagome smiled as Cherry Blossom wrote down the names and dismissed them.
Inu Yasha and Koga grabbed a beer and flopped down in the dirt off to the side once they had taken care of their own bikes. Kagome stayed mounted only with the engine off, her helmet still on.
“Kagome sit down.” Koga motioned to the space between him and Inu Yasha
“Im waiting for the others.” She mumbled. Lights peaking over the top of the hills to the west.
“That should be them. Dad probably wanted to wear something weird like leather and mom had to be all fancy or something.” Inu Yasha took a drink of his beer.
Kagome took off her helmet and tossed it to Inu Yasha. “I wont need this.” She said already starting the bike. She could here the blast of close to 5 motors. Smiling she took off and raced to meet them. Half way there she stopped to wait. Inu Tashio and Isa pulled up next to her each on a Harley Davidson complete with flames. Other than that everyone had race bikes.
“We had to run by the Shrine and pick up my baby.” Sango smiled.
“Figures. Anyways, races are under way, if asked who you are just tell the truth, your in no danger or anything. Cherry Blossom is in charge of sign up for the races. So far there has only been 56 races, there are still a lot to go. Inu Yasha and Koga are drinking. Drinks are everywhere don’t bother asking. Just tell people your with me or Sango and we should be good.”
Sango smiled. Miroku peaked from his bike beside her to Kagome. “Are these people...nice?”
“Very.” Kagome smiled. She circled the group and looked at them all. “Where is my son?”
“Right here mama.’ Shippo lifted the over sized black helmet and smiled. Kagome laughed and picked him up from Tash’s bike.
“You won’t need that.” Kagome took the helmet off and sat the kit in front of her. She tossed the helmet back to Tash who placed it in his bags. “And forward we go.” She revved the engine and zoomed off. Shippo laughed as Kagome rushed passed people. She stopped in front of Inu Yasha and Koga in a cloud of dust.
“Did you have to do that?” Inu Yasha growled.
“Yes.” Kagome giggled. “Anyways, everyone is here and I have about 3 hours before we head out to the city. I suggest you don’t drink to much. Im taking Shippo to get a soda and watch the races. I might even take him for another ride.” Kagome moved off slowly not to cover both demons in dirt.
Sesshomaru was just signing up with Sango and Miroku when she pulled up. Shippo was watching with a hyper eye.
Cherry Blossom looked at Kagome. “So your rich now huh?”
“Na, money don’t mean a thing. Besides, I like what I have, I like working for it all.” Kagome shrugged.
“One of the richest girls on earth and she don’t care. Girl, you got hot men as mates and you a princess!” Cherry Blossom took a swing at Kagome but missed.
“Whatever CB. This is my son, by the way, Shippo this is Cherry Blossom but CB for short.” Kagome smiled as Shippo looked over the bars at the 15 year old in front of him. He scrambled up Kagome’s arm and behind her hair to whisper in her ear.
“She’s pretty, and cute.” Kagome smiled. “She’s a demon too, but I can’t tell what kind.”
“CB, Shippo wants to see your demon form.” Kagome winked at her.
CB squeaked and blushed. She shrunk hiding behind the clip board. Tan skin was replaced with orangish pink fur.
“Move the board.” Kagome mocked.
“Bitch. You so own me!!” CB growled.
Shippo’s eyes widen at the sight of CB. She was a fox demon too.
Kagome grabbed Shippo and set him on the ground. “Now don’t they look cute.” CB and Shippo’s tails and ears stood straight up. A blush very clear on both faces. “CB why don’t you show Shippo around and introduce him to a few people. Shippo watch over CB.” Kagome laughed. She sped off leaving both to have fun. It was a match made in heaven.
Kagome pulled up next to Tash and Isa to see them talking to Dagger they seemed to be getting along.
“KAGOME!” She looked around a spotted Koga waving at her. She cruised over and stopped in front of him.
“Yo?”
“Someone by the name of Cookie told me to tell you that Spiders are on the way. Are they more racers?” Koga crossed his arms holding a new beer.
“I wish, thanks.” She took off with a loud thunder. Racing through crowds of people. Stopping in front of Dagger in a wash of dust. “Spiders, suit up.” She yelled and took off before the dust settled, she heard his engine rev and race off.
The excitement increased in moments. She found Inu Yasha and Koga with the rest of her family and friends gathered all together, Sango missing.
“Stay back. Your not part of this.” She stopped in front of them.
“Tell us what the hell is going on!”Inu Yasha growled.
“No, and if I find that any of you were anywhere near the fight I’ll personally turn you to ashes.” Kagome shifted to a lower gear and took off. CB sat on her bike on the outskirts of the mob. “Where is Shippo?”
“He’s running back to Tash. You went right by him don’t worry. He should be with them now.”
“I hope. Got my helmet on you?” Kagome looked at the hills that were a mark for the path to the race mounds. “Ya here.” CB smiled and pulled a black helmet out of the side pack. She handed it to Kagome and nodded. The helmet was black and was like a bike helmet but this one had been handed down from leader to leader.She slipped it on and relaxed, smelling her father’s scent.
Spiders raced over the hills 30 minuets later. Their cars rumbling as they tore up the land. Kagome growled low at the head of her group. Inu Yasha had come to check on her and finally convinced her that he and Koga should stay. Kagome had put up a fight but gave in when he said he would take her home and show her who was alpha, even if it meant twice the pain for her due to the fact Koga was also an alpha.
Spiders stopped close to a mile away. Their leader climbed out of her window of his car.
“Buzz off trash. Your leader is dead, go home to your mommy.” he yelled to them.
Kagome froze her blood running cold. Inu Yasha and Koga put a hand on her shoulder.
“What you need the royal family to support your pathetic excuse for racing?”
“Naraku! Your going to die!” Kagome screamed. Racing away from her friends. She flipped the eye shield and flew. Naraku climbed into his car and raced to meet her with a big grin. Kagome and Naraku drew closer and closer to each other. Kagome revved and pulled the handle bars up to jump. She landed on Naraku’s car with a thud. She revved and flew up the windshield and into the air. Naraku skid to a halt. Kagome revved and waiting in air for the landing. She bounced and balanced quickly before skidding in a circle to face the back of Naraku’s car. He crawled out of the window and sat on the edge.
“You bitch! To bad you weren’t on the plane when I ordered you family dead. O well, I just means that I can take care of you myself after I have my fun.” He mocked petting the car’s paint.
Kagome growled and pulled off her helmet. “Awww.....Never thought that you would be interested in me. To bad thought, Im taken.” She smiled as Naraku’s head snapped to look at her.
“You have ears now!” The laugher gone over the surprise. “You become a slut or something?” He laughed leaning into the car.
“Nope, just found someone that I love.” She smiled and pulled the edges of the collar to show the bite marks of Koga and Inu Yasha.
Naraku’s mouth dropped and he bared his teeth in a snarl. “You are mine, if I can’t have you, no one can.” He ducked back into the car and sped forward and fish-tailing around. Kagome pulled her helmet back on and began chanting a spell.
“Im not a murder, just the executioner.” She whispered. Her eyes turned to a glazed black, different from the regular black they were. Her body glowed in its dark aura and power came from everywhere. At one point it felt as if Inu Yasha and Koga stood next to her but she knew they were out of the way. Safe.
Naraku revved and so did Kagome. He sat there a minute, just long enough for Kagome to finish gathering enough energy and the incantation. She smiled behind the dark helmet before slipping it off and waving to Naraku. She could hear him growl and turn up his base. Smiling again she zoomed off her helmet in her lap. Naraku coming slower behind. Kagome skid to a halt in front of the other bikers. She turned off the bike and tossed the helmet to Dagger. Smiling she turned and watched Naraku approach.
“5............4...............3.............2.......... .....1.............Boom.” She whispered as Naraku’s car blew up.
Inu Yasha, Koga and the rest of the bikers watched as Kagome turned and laughed. She turned to face them once again and smiled. Inu Yasha’s eyes flashed red. He kicked out the bike stand and pulled her closer to him.
“Nice job my love.” He growled.
Koga stepped up next to them and watched the fire. “Did you do that Kagome?” He whispered.
“I...I don’t know.” He black eyes glittered with tears. “I remember him telling me he killed my parents then that’s it.” Inu Yasha smiled and kissed her neck. “I like it.”Kagome looked at him. “Hi.” She whispered.
“Hi.” The full demon commented.
“What’s that?” Koga gasped.
Kagome spun around and Inu Yasha looked up. “He’s not dead.” She growled. Koga stepped away as her scent changed to a darker one. He watched her but was stunned that her and Inu Yasha were so calm even in their darker moods.
They watched the car with many other pairs of eyes. A form that was black and on fire climbed out of the car. Naraku. The name didn’t have to be said it was just there.
Kagome reached into her back pocket and pulled out a knife. She reached under her shirt to the hem of her pants and pulled out a long jagged knife. They glimmered in the night sky.
“I’ve got an hour to kill his ass.” She growled in a deep voice.
Koga’s eyes glassed over. His own dark side coming out. Inu Yasha cracked his knuckles and growled.
Tash pushed his way to them. “What’s going on?” He demanded.
Kagome, Koga and Inu Yasha turned around and looked at him before looking away.
“Ready?” She growled.
Inu Yasha sprung forward. Koga raced in a whirlwind of dust and air towards the fire. Kagome stood by for a minute.
“Kagome?” Tash whispered.
“Don’t.” Dagger growled. “That figure is her parents killer no one can interfere. This is her battle. The boys are part of her and it is a nature for them to fight. She wont harm anyone but him and nor will they.”
Tash stepped back and watched.
Koga advanced on Naraku who was no longer on fire and healing rapidly. Inu Yasha closed in from the back. His claws raised high in the air waiting to rip apart.
Kagome sunk into the ground. A wave of earth raced forward forming a woman.
Naraku looked around but still had trouble seeing anything but blurry figures.
Inu Yasha landed behind him with no sound and started shredding Naraku’s back. Koga stopped in time to keep Naraku from moving away from Inu Yasha. Naraku in his own defense let loose his only hope; hundreds of tentacles. Kagome created a pit below Naraku and buried him to the waist, his tentacles gone in the hard earth. She emerged from the earth formed armor and looked down on the helpless man.
Inu Yasha and Koga backed off growling.
Naraku laughed. “You can’t kill me.”
“Yes I can. You are a demon, human mix. Humans can die and so can demons. You are no different.” She cupped her hands and formed a ball of light. “May you rest in hell for the death and pain you caused.” She placed the light on Naraku’s heart and watched as in slowly purified him into nothing. His screams heard still after the disappearance of his body.
Inu Yasha smiled and blinked coming back to his old self. Koga howled and also returned to himself. Kagome watched the earth a moment.
“Kagome?” Inu Yasha touched her shoulder.
The girl erupted into tears and fell to her knees.
Koga dropped next to her. His arms wrapping around her drawing her to his body. Inu Yasha knelt down and stroked his mates hair.
“Kagome. Are you okay?” They whispered.
“It’s over.” She sobbed wiping away tears.
“Ya it is.” Inu Yasha sat down.
“Now what?” She whispered holding onto Koga for dear life.
“You start over. A family, friends, everything.”
Kagome nodded. Cars cruised in around them. A man stepped out and knelt feet away.
“I am Draco. A dragon demon. Second in command for this gang. I ask you. Is our leader dead?” His head bowed
“Yes.” Kagome turned to look. Her voice much stronger than before.
“Then I must congratulate you on your position of leader of the spiders.” Draco looked at Kagome.
Kagome gasped. Koga’s hold tightened and Inu Yasha growled.
“I...I can’t. Im leader of another gang. Of Thunder.” She looked back at the bikers who were on the way to them. The rumble of the many engines shaking the ground.
Draco let out a sigh. “I see the problem, but it is unavoidable, you are our new leader.”
Kagome gasped at the news. Unavoidable. She felt dizzy.
Dagger pulled up behind the flaming car that was once Naraku’s.
“What is going on?” He demanded coming to stand by Inu Yasha.
“We came for our leader.” Draco stood up and looked at Dagger.
“You leader is dead now leave.” Dagger growled stepping forward.
“She is the spider’s leader now, she kill the old one. It is law!” Draco reached behind him and the world went silent.
“Enough!” Kagome staggered to stand. Inu Yasha stood beside her and Koga on her other side. “I wont leave Thunder, however if you say that it is unavoidable then I have another choice.”
All eyes turned to her.
“We combine. No more wars, no more enemies.” Kagome’s voice carried out and a quiet whisper broke out around the lands.
“Bikes and cars?” Dagger seemed uncertain.
“We are all racers are we not?” Kagome growled, she was leader and it would be done!
“Yes.” Draco looked at Dagger and then to Kagome. The racers behind him all bowed. “We accept this new peace.”
Kagome looked behind her. The bikers were still talking. Cherry Blossom stepped forward. “The one to the left is kinda cute.” She joked. “I fall behind my leader in this agreement.” She nodded to Kagome.
“All those who agree say ‘I’.” Kagome called. Her request was met with a explosion of ‘I’s
“All those against say ‘nay’.”
“Nay.” Dagger said. His voice being the only one.
“So be it. The two rival gangs combine into one this night.” Kagome smiled ignoring Dagger.
Cheers erupted and Kagome could only smile. No more deaths, no more fights, just peace.
Draco walked up to her and took her hand in his. “Tis nice to have a leader who cares rather than one that destroys.” He kissed her hand. “Welcome to the spiders.”
“Wait, if this is a new beginning than let us change our name. That and I refuse to carry Naraku’s name with mine.” She smiled almost laughing at the looks Inu Yasha and Koga were aiming towards Draco.
“Than what shall it be?” He asked.
Kagome looked to the sky. Thunder announced the arrival of a storm. She watched the sky as a bright streak of lightning lit up it. “Thunder and Lightning.” The rain started to poor down and she laughed.

Kagome lay on her stomach holding Koga and Inu Yasha’s hands. She hissed but forced herself not to move.
They sat in the tattoo shop. Outside rain poured down but the parking garage across the street was full of bikes and cars.
Shippo sat in a chair in front of Kagome singing to the radio. Kagome could only smile and hiss again. Inu Yasha and Koga had talked her into a anime wolf and dog sitting together drooling. She had laughed at the design but screamed as Rakuin, her friend, etched it into her thigh. He was now working on her back to etch the lightning that flashed from left shoulder to right thigh with the earth that ran across her lower back. To one side there was a crack for thunder.
In the cloud Rakuin etch the date and smiled as he sat up to look at the new tattoos. Kagome relaxed a great deal and let go of her mates hands. They moved them with a face of relief.
“Now what? I can’t go home wearing nothing.” Kagome sighed
“That I can do.” Rakuin stood up smiling and disappeared into the back. He came out holding a black piece for cloth. “Here. Don’t ask where I got it.” He tossed it to Inu Yasha. Inu Yasha held the dress up. It tied around the neck and around the waist. The skirt went to mid thigh and was slit on the right side to bikini line. He laughed with Koga.
Kagome could only groan.
