“Lets take the jet and just go!” Koga finally growled.
“Sounds good.” Kagome breathed on Inu Yasha.
He growled. “Don’t start what you can’t finish.”
“Sorry.” Kagome pulled away and sat quietly. “Food’s done by the way.” She added.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Kagome packed her suitcase. Clothes were flying through the air as if birds. Inu Yasha and Koga stood to the side amazed as the small bag filled higher and higher. Finally a hair brush and other bathroom items.
Inu Yasha led the way downstairs and back into the kitchen. It had taken awhile to close Kagome’s bag. That and a lot of strength.
Kagome’s cell went off as they reached the doors. “Hello?”
“Where are you Kagome?” A small voice whined.
“Im at home Shippo, me and your daddies are going to go on a little vacation.” Kagome sat her bag down and leaned against the wall.
“I wanna come!” Shippo whined. Someone in the background scolded him and Kagome sighed.
“Your coming back tonight Shippo, we just left a few hours early. Tell Sesshomaru or someone who’s leaving early to bring you back if its so important.” Kagome offered.
“Hold on.” Kagome heard. The voice changed to that of Sesshomaru’s. “He cried for an hour after you left saying you didn’t love him and had left him.” Sesshomaru said flatly.
“Nice to know you care.” Kagome growled. “You heading back soon?”
“Na, me and Rin are going to take our time coming back.”
Kagome sighed, “is anyone headed back now?”
“Couple of racers and two of the trucks. They are loading up now.” Sesshomaru said.
“Ask one of them to bring Shippo and CB. We’re leaving for a small vacation and Shippo will be lonely because Koga and Inu Yasha want adult time to talk.” Sesshomaru smiled on his side and knew what that was going to be like, it was one of the reasons why him and Rin were going to take their time coming home.
“Will do. Draco wants to talk.” The phone was passed again and Draco started drowning out stats.
Kagome pretended to yawn and Inu yasha and Koga laughed. Draco finished his lecture. “Ok.”
“That’s all you have to say.” Draco seemed shocked.
“What am I suppose to do? So we lose three hundred grand. So we lost five cars. Not like its all we got.” Kagome said plain and simple.
“Your right I guess.” Draco sighed in defeat.
“I know I am, now im hanging up and want no calls having to do with gang news. Im officially on vacation and will be for a week. Now good-bye.” Kagome clicked the phone off and hurried to turn it all the way off before someone called wanting anything more
“So much for vacation.” Koga grumbled.
“Not true. There is a reason why I told Sesshomaru to send CB back with Shippo. We can have our time and the kids can hang out and do whatever they want. If Shippo wants to come, that’s fine, but im not going to watch him all day or whatever. I need this vacation. And nothing will ruin that.” Kagome said firmly.
Inu Yasha smiled happy that she had no plans of working. “So what do we do for an hour or two?”
“I vote we go out!” Kagome raised her hand.
“Where?” Koga perked up.
“Surprise me.” Kagome reached in a pocket of her back and pulled out a blind fold. She tied it on and smiled.
Four hands grabbed her and led her out the doors and into a car. She sat waiting as they drove. No one said a word. Finally the car stopped and the engine was turned off. Two doors opened, shut and then her’s was opened.
Kagome climbed out of the car with the blind fold still on. Music poured out around her. Something clicked but Kagome continued to be led. It was only 3:30 and most places were still open such as bars and clubs.
Kagome was led to a booth and sat down. Someone pushed her over and Kagome heard another leave without a word. The demon next to her continued pushing her. A tinkling of metal was heard for a second and Kagome tried to figure out where she was.
“Ok, the blink fold can come off.” Koga laughed.
Kagome slowly untied it and slipped it from her eyes. The first thing she noticed as a lack of light and a large bottle of Sake. “Oh no.”
Inu Yasha and Koga burst out laughing.
“You two have fun. I am not drinking.” Kagome said firmly.
“Now that is where you are wrong my love. You see after your last little encounter. The family talked and we all agreed. If you can sober up after a bottle of this,” Inu Yasha motioned to the bottle, “then it is safe for you to drink. The knife thing can insure the safety of the pups too.”
“Great.” Kagome moaned. “Just Great.”
“Come on Kag loosen up we’re on vacation. Have a little fun.” Koga cheered.
Kagome cast a unfriendly glance and the bottle. “Do I have to?” She whined.
“Yes. I’ll even drink with you.” Inu Yasha grinned.
“That may be so but it takes quiet a bit to get you drunk. Me, three drinks and im gone. Besides who knows what I would say.” Kagome eyed InuYasha and he realized what she meant.
“Oh.” He looked at Koga. “Looks like it us then. Drinking war?”
“Sure.” Koga poured out two glasses of Sake and placed one in front of his brother.
“Ready.” Kagome called. “Set.” They grabbed the large fish bowl sized glasses. “Go.” Koga and Inu Yasha placed the glasses to their lips and began drinking.
Koga slammed down him glass second before Inu Yasha. Both burped and laughed. “Men.” Kagome shook her head and smiled.
She found herself squished between to bodies in moments. She laughed and pushed each of them lightly. “Come on guys.” She laughed.
Koga looked at Inu Yasha before they planted a wet kiss on her cheek.
“Ewww...Slobber.” Kagome shrieked.
Inu Yasha fell to the seat holding his ribs.
“You two have one drink and are both nuts.” Kagome sighed. “You can dress them up but never take them out.”
“Hey.” They both cried. “What’s that suppose to mean?”
Kagome poked Inu Yasha. “Just what I said.”
“Oh.” He laughed.
Someone poked their head in. “Excuse me but can I get you anything?”
“A soda please.” Kagome smiled. The girl nodded and left.
“Hey Kagome?”
“Hay is for horses grass is cheaper.” Kagome pushed Inu Yasha. He laughed.
“No seriously.”
“Really?” Kagome teased.
“Kagome!” He hiccuped. Kagome reached out and grabbed the bottle.
“Here drink this.”
She pushed it into his hands.
“I’m not drunk!” He growled.
“I know but you saw me drunk now its my turn.”She smiled evilly.
“My choice to be drunk or not.” He grinned back.
“Hum, well, I guess you’ll be on the couch. Shame.” Kagome stuck out her tongue and closed her eyes. She jumped as Inu Yasha kissed her.
“Me on the couch. I do believe you are very wrong, do you forget who is stronger, and who is lighter.” Inu Yasha said.
“Now Inu Yasha, we can’t put poor Kagome on the couch alone.” Koga inserted.
“The couch in our room will be fine. A blanket and pillow will do.”
“There is so much I could say to this little conversation but...” She trailed off as the woman came back with her drink. Kagome took it and thanked the girl.
Inu Yasha and Koga watched as she took a drink.
They smiled and Kagome stuttered. “Why are you smiling?” Sure her mates smiled but not like this.
Inu Yasha held up the bottle. “Water.” He pointed to her drink. “Alcohol.”
Kagome paled and sat her glass on the table. Koga grabbed the bottle from his brother and took a drink.
“But...”
“Little talking and it all works out great. Don’t it Koga.” Inu Yasha grinned.
“But what about that thing.” Kagome hissed.
“Oh that. Koga and me talked. It’s cool. Besides we’ve only been mates for what less than a month. We don’t expect you to be in love right away.” Inu Yasha pulled Kagome into a hug and kissed her head. “Now drink.”
Kagome hesitantly reached for the glass. Letting out a long sigh she up ended the rest of the drink and slammed the glass down. Koga grinned and got out of the booth.
“See it’s not that bad.” Inu Yasha laughed.
Koga came in holding a bottle of brown liquid. “Toby said if you can drink this bottle and walk across the room then he’ll give us a hundred yen and drinks on the house.”
Kagome stared at the large bottle of liquid. Koga handed it to her and Kagome took it. “Go get Toby.” She croaked.
Koga disappeared again and came back with the bar tender. Koga slid in and Toby followed.
Kagome unscrewed the cap and looked at Inu Yasha. “Anything I say tonight is to never be repeated again. Anything I do will be unsaid of again. And you better hope to the heavens that my blade is in the room.” She up ended the bottle and began drinking. Half way gone she stopped and took a breath. Shaking her head she tipped the bottle again and finished it off. Three mouths dropped as Kagome slammed the large bottle down.
“That was a two liter bottle of whiskey!” Toby yelled hoarsely.
Kagome slammed her head onto the table. She moaned and tossed her body back against the seat. Her head laying behind her.
“Kagome?” Koga touched her hand.
“I’m fine.” Kagome moaned. “Get me another one and I’ll be trashed enough to pass out for two days.”
Toby rushed out of the enclosure and returned with a group of people. He held out a second bottle, this one held clear liquid. “Try this one just as fast.”
“I don’t feel it until I stop. But I’ll do it if we can have the wedding reception here.” Kagome looked at the man. He smiled.
“The future queen of Japan having her wedding reception here. Hell yes.” The group around him started muttering.
“Music off for a minuet.” Kagome grabbed the offered bottle. It was the same size as the last but it was different. The music stopped and everyone turned to the booth.
“Three...Two...One.” Kagome upended the bottle and closed her eyes.
“Half way.” Inu Yasha said. Kagome stopped and gasped for a breath. She finished the bottle and slammed it down to the first one.
“Don’t you know its bad to mix drinks, especially vodka and whisky. And doing that will kill a human.” She moaned leaning her head back.
“Well your not human are you!” Koga smiled.
“No im not. Im the strongest miko in the world. Im part wolf and dog demon. Im an soon to be queen. No im not human.” Kagome regained herself and looked at him. “Now if you still want kids you better get me home and get me my damn blade!” She growled.
Inu Yasha handed Toby a wad of cash. “We’ll see you in a few weeks. A friend will bring around with an invitation to the wedding.” Toby accepted the money and watched as Inu Yasha picked up Kagome and start to move through the people to the door. Half way to the door a path opened and Inu Yasha left with Kagome. She was walking fine.
Koga turned to Toby before he went to join them. “Four liters and she’s still able to talk straight. How the hell does that work?”
Toby shrugged. “I sure as hell couldn’t even do one bottle. Not like that.” Koga smiled and left.
The drive back to the palace was quite. The sun was high in the air and it was hot as hell. They pulled into the driveway and parked. Kagome climbed out of the car and waited. Koga and Inu Yasha took her hands and led her up to their room. Kagome grabbed her knife from the night-stand and sliced her wrist with no second thought. She sliced the other wrist and watched the blood flow to the top.
Inu Yasha and Koga were at her side in seconds. She sighed and let them take her wrists into their mouths. Tongues licked up the blood and plunged into the wound. Kagome whimpered and fell onto the bed. Her arms were held above her being sucked on by demons. Inu Yasha had two purple strips on his face. Koga had a line of brownish-gray hair streak his hair. They bit harder into her wrists.
“Stop. Your draining me.” Kagome whimpered.
Inu Yasha and Koga jerked back as if they had been hit. Kagome let her arms fall to the bed with a soft thump. She looked up at her mates and whimpered again.
Inu Yasha and Koga stared at her. She was pale and sick looking. “Are you ok?” Inu Yasha whispered.
“Yes.” Kagome whispered back. Her head was fuzzy and her body felt like air. “I’ll be fine.” She laid down on the bed and closed her eyes.
“Kagome?” Koga knelt by the bed and her legs. “Kagome?!”
“I’m here still.” it was barely heard.
Inu Yasha knelt down by her legs and reached for the knife. He looked at it then to his mate’s pale skin. He stood and crawled on to the bed. Kagome opened her eyes slowly. She was so tired. Inu Yasha leaned over her and kissed her lips. He leaned back and held his wrist up and cut it with he knife just as Kagome had. He held it to her lips and she let the red liquid drip into her mouth.
It looks like we’re a bunch of vampires. Koga thought.
Inu Yasha pulled his arm away and licked the blood away. Kagome had a little color back. Koga took the knife and let his blood poor into his love.
Kagome let the warm liquid run down her throat. Her demon was trying to break though and with each drop it was getting harder. Koga stood above her and smiled. Inu Yasha moved a piece of her hair and kissed the skin.
“You ok?” Koga asked.
“Better thanks. Just having a bit of a problem.” Kagome growled throwing a bit of energy though her body. The demon side backed off then charged and Kagome could only not scream as it broke the surface. The darkness took over.
Kagome woke in a pile of sheets. Her arms were tied and she was sticky. She groaned and closed her eyes.
“Kagome?” A tired voice to her left mumbled.
“Present, Koga.” He rolled on top of her before she could say more. His arms slid under her body and squeezed. “Koga can’t breath.” Kagome gasped.
“Sorry.” He let go and rolled off her.
“Why am I tied up?” She tried to pulled her arms down but failed.
“Hold on.” Koga reached up and loosened the many knots. Kagome stared at his toned body moving above her. “There you go.” Kagome felt her arms release. She brought them to Koga’s skin. Her fingers touched the skin and Koga shivered above her.
Koga scooted down some to see her face. She ran her hands over Koga’s shoulders, down his arms and back up. Smiling at his reaction Kagome leaned up and kissed him.
A growl vibrated the bed and Kagome squeaked. Dropping her hands she looked at Inu Yasha guilty. Koga laughed as Inu Yasha teased her pretending to be mad.
Finally Kagome flopped back on the bed. “I can never win with you two.” She whined.
They both laughed and accidently rolled off the bed with a thunk dragging the sheets with them.
Kagome eeped and grabbed a pillow to cover her bare body.
“Come on guys, we need to get ready to leave.” Kagome went to climb off the bed but stopped at someone tapped on the door. Kagome swore under her breath.
“Who is it?” She called.
“Room-service.” The voice laughed.
Koga and Inu Yasha stood and covered themselves. “Come in.” They called watching Kagome’s face twist in horror.
Kagome grabbed another pillow and covered her chest.
Draco stepped into the room. Smiling when he saw Kagome.
“Morning sexy.” He laughed “Did I interrupt?”
“No the boys were just screwing around.” Kagome stood on the bed and dropped the pillows. Inu Yasha and Koga stared as Kagome walked off the foot of the bed closest to Draco and headed towards her dresser to get clothes. She smiled and went to the bathroom shutting the door.
Inu Yasha and Koga sat on the floor shocked.
“Well that was a surprise.” Draco scratched his head. “Shippo’s home. Everything’s in order. And tell Kagome that Tiger’s brothers will be all right.” Draco turned and left with a wave.
Kagome came out twenty minutes. Her hair was wet. Kagome grabbed a pair of socks and smiled as she left to the room without a word to her mates. She jogged downstairs and into the kitchen. Tash, Isa, Draco, Tiger, Shippo, CB, and many more racers stood around the room.
“Morning.” They called.
Kagome returned the greeting and was attacked by Shippo, who clung to her shirt. “Don’t leave me again.” He cried.
Kagome lifted him off of her shirt and held him close. “I’m sorry.”
Shippo leaned back and wiped away the tears. “When are we leaving?”
“Later in the morning.” Kagome sat him down.
“Did you talk to the boys?” Tash asked.
“Nope. Im not talking to them for awhile.” Kagome headed towards the fridge and opened it looking for food. Someone had went shopping.
“Anyone else hungry?” She called. Kagome turned and looked at all the demons and few humans who seemed to perk up.
“Now, Kagome dear, do you plan on cooking? Or making us find food?” Tash smiled.
“I’ll cook again.” Kagome raised her hand and sighed.
“Great. Everyone to the living room.” Tash herded everyone out and smiled back.
In less than three weeks I’ve turned the royal family into normal people. What does the rest of the world think? Kagome thought.
Tiger stayed standing in the middle of the room. “Kagome?”
“Hi Tiger can you help me a little. We can talk too.” Kagome smiled.
Tiger ran to Kagome and hugged the woman crying. “I owe you my life.”
“What do you mean?” Kagome asked placing a lock of hair back in place on the girl’s head.
“My brothers, they’ll live. Plus I can pay the bills and buy food. There was more than enough money.” Tiger wiped her tears away. “Draco said that we can use one of the small temples as long as we keep it looking nice.”
Kagome smiled. “That’s great. Are your brothers out of surgery?”
“Ya. They should be waking up in a hour or so.”
“Well lets make breakfast and you and me will go over there and visit them. We can even take some food to them.” Kagome smiled and winked at Tiger.
“Ok.” Tiger stood up straight. “Ready for duty.”
Kagome laughed and told her what to do. They talked as they worked and had a few accidents. Shippo popped in to help just as Kagome rolled up another omelet.
“Can I help.” He asked looking up at Kagome from the floor.
“Ya.” Kagome picked him up and sat him next to an empty bowl. She handed him a box of eggs and other smaller bowls of meats and vegetables. “Start cracking. But make sure no shells are in the mix.” Shippo smiled and began his task.
Tiger finished off the batter for pancakes and tossed the bowl to the sink. “Good work Tiger.”
“Well we’ll finish off those and make a couple more omelets and that should be good.”
Kagome took the many plates of food to the table and laid them out. Each plate had two pancakes, an omelet, a piece of toast, three slices of bacon and a couple pieces of sausage. Plus a bowl of rice on the side for a little Japanese style. Kagome had made an American breakfast.
Shippo and Tiger finished cooking and helped Kagome lay out the food. They had close to 12 plates extra. Not counting the food they set aside for themselves and for Tiger’s brothers.
“Hey Tiger what are you brother’s names? You never told me.” Kagome set a plate down and watched as Tiger placed the last on in a place.
“Yin and Yang Tora.” She smiled. “It fits too, one likes bikes the other cars. One likes white the other black. The list goes on and on.”
“That’s cool.” Shippo squealed.
“Breakfast!” Kagome called out the door. The room filled with people and Kagome snuck out to make a call.
Inu Yasha and Koga were just coming down the stairs when Kagome grabbed the phone. “Breakfast is in the dinning room and kitchen if your hungry.” She grabbed the phonebook and searched for the hospital number.
Inu Yasha and Koga gave Kagome a long kiss each and left with a grin. Kagome shook her head and dialed the number.
Ring Ring Ring....
“Hello Tokyo Hospital. This is Ukiyo.”
“Ya hello. Im calling to check on a few things. My friend’s brothers just got out of surgery and I was wondering if I would be aloud to bring them food?”
“Normally we can let someone so soon to eat outside food. Who are the patients names?”
“Yin and Yang Tora.” Kagome listened to the noise in the dining room.
“They just woke up I few minuets ago. The surgery was for cancer right?”
“Yes.”
“It says here they can eat solids. I don’t see why you couldn’t bring food. It however can’t contain a lot of grease.”
“Thank you, can you please notify them that they will have visitors and food in the next half-hour.”
“Sure. Who did you say you were again?”
“A family friend.” Kagome hung up the phone and returned to the dining room.
“KAGOME!” She was greeted.
Kagome surveyed the room. The food was defiantly good. ”Hello. Where’s Tiger?”
“Right here.” Tiger raised her hand. She sat next to Shippo and someone Kagome knew but couldn’t remember their name.
“Are you ready?” Kagome dusted herself off.
“Ya hold on.” Tiger finished her drink and stood. “Ready.”
“Not doing dishes. Let the new people handle it.” Kagome looked at a few of the newer people in the room she never seen, Hojo was not present but his brother was here..
“That works.” Draco smiled. “Let them carry some of the weight.”
Kagome laughed. “Well me and Tiger will be back in an hour or so, then I figure we’d leave for our three day vacation.”
Inu Yasha and Koga nodded. “Where you going?”
“The hospital. Tiger’s brothers are awake and we’re taking them lunch.”
“Their awake!” Tiger gasped.
“Ya. Shippo you coming or staying.” Kagome asked.
“Staying, Kyade and Grandma are going to help me pack.”
“Pack for the cold.” Inu Yasha said standing up. “What are we taking?”
“I figured we’d take bikes. But if your coming we’ll take cars.”
“No bikes are fine, our cars are starting to get figured out. If you take yours then they will know we’re there. The papers have figured out who’s car is who’s.” Koga stood.
“Works for me.” Kagome tossed a long knife onto the table. It was more of a dagger, though. “Won’t need that.”
“When did you put that on?” Inu Yasha asked.
“When I got dressed. After Naraku im not stupid enough to not have something on me. I have a three inch hidden.” Kagome said good-bye to everyone and left the room with Tiger and her mates following.
Inu Yasha and Koga led the way to the hospital. Tiger kept close to Kagome. Two other bikes flanked them. Draco had evidently agreed with Kagome and sent two more for protection.
Tiger ran in hyper as ever. Inu Yasha and Koga walked beside Kagome who carried a backpack of food.
“Room 415. Fourth floor. They’re expecting visitors.” The nurse told them when they asked.
Tiger skipped to the elevators. Behind Kagome she heard the nurses talking.
“Was that the royal family?” “I think so.” “Why are they here?”
The elevator doors open and Kagome stepped in. Inu Yasha and Koga smiled as they went up. The elevator stopped and Kagome could only take a deep breath to keep down the small amount of food she had eaten. Tiger hopped down the white hall to a room. Inside the TV played morning cartoons. Tiger stepped in with Kagome behind her. Koga and Inu Yasha leaned against the wall just inside the door.
“Sis.” “ HI.” Two voices yelled.
“Hey guys how you feeling?”
“Great.”“Bored.”
“Thi s is Kagome. She my best-friend.”
“Hello Kagome.” “Your pretty.”
“Thank you.” Kagome answered.
“Kagome here is helping us to get a place to live and food. She helped me pay for the pills and the surgeries.” Tiger admitted.
“Sis. That’s great. We can be a family again.”
“Ya.”
“Inu Yasha, Koga, get over here.” Kagome growled looking back at the door.
Koga and Inu Yasha sighed and walked around a curtain to see who they were visiting.
Two twins sat in different beds wearing white gowns. Their blond-streaked hair was short and messy. They could only be about 16. Both resembled Tiger. Ears, tails and one other thing, cheek stripes.
Inu Yasha had the picture of Sesshomaru as a cat. He smiled to himself.
“You’re the prince of Japan!” On twin gasped.
“No way.” The other copied.
“Ya im the prince of Japan, soon to be king. This is my best-friend and sorta brother Koga. Me and him are Kagome’s mates.” Inu Yasha grabbed Koga’s shoulders.
“Really, cool. So that means you’re the princess Kagome.”
Kagome blushed and nodded.
“That’s so cool.” The twins squealed,
“You two hungry?” Tiger asked.
“Yes!” Kagome handed over the backpack and sat in a chair. Inu Yasha and Koga stood at her sides holding her hands.
“You never told me where we are joining.” She whispered to them as Tiger handed out food.
“Nor will you find out till we get there. We repacked too.” Inu Yasha whispered.
“Tell me in not going to wear very revealing clothes for three days.”
“No, with what you have we couldn’t find anything. The minute we get back however, as much as we hate to, we’re taking you shopping for decent clothes.”
“I don’t know if that’s a bad thing or a good thing.” Kagome whispered.
Both men laughed.
“I’m going to go talk to a doctor real fast. Come on boys.” Kagome stood up and smiled at Tiger.
Inu Yasha and Koga followed Kagome out. She walked down the hall and to a desk.
“Excuse me. But the patients in room 415 when can they leave?”
“Hold on let me look.” The nurse typed something on the computer. “This says tomorrow. That can’t be right.”
“I’m sure it’s right. Now next question, where can I get an ultrasound?”
Koga and Inu Yasha gasped.
“Go to the first floor and to pediatrics. They can set you up.”
“Thank you.” Kagome bounced back to the room. “Were headed downstairs for a bit. We’ll be back later to steel you back Tiger.”
Tiger smiled and nodded.
Kagome led the way to the directed area. Inu Yasha and Koga hung back a few steps. Luckily the two demons Draco had sent stayed upstairs. They had also taken Kagome’s knife.
“Excuse me but who do I talk to about a ultrasound?”
“Fill out this.” Kagome was handed a clipboard and a pencil.
“Thanks.” She took a seat and began filling out the many papers.
“Kagome why are you bothering?” Koga hissed.
“Because, you both maybe be able to smell the pups but that don’t mean everything is fine. I just don’t want to know what the sex of the baby or babies is.” Kagome finished the paperwork and returned it to the nurse.
“The doctor will call you in a minute.”
Kagome returned to the chair but Koga took the seat and pulled her into his lap. Inu Yasha knelt in front of them and took Kagome’s hands.
“Just think in seven weeks we’ll have a family started.”
“Wait, you said a few days ago I was only a day or two along!” Kagome growled.
“So we twisted the time a little.” Koga stuttered.
“How long have I been pregnant?”
“Uhhh...Since the first time with both of us.” Inu Yasha stuttered. He looked at Koga for help.
“Im going to mane both of you Cut off your ears and tail and pin them to the wall.” Kagome hissed trying not to be loud.
“Well at least Sesshomaru and dad didn’t open their mouths.”
“They knew!” Kagome hissed leaning away from Koga and into Inu Yasha’s face.
“Well I bet the whole gang knows. Any demon can smell it.” Koga added.
“Damn you both.” Kagome hissed.
“Higurashi, Kagome.” The nurse called.
Kagome stood growling and walked away from her mates. “Well you coming or not to check up on your kids?” She sighed.
The nurse led them into a dark room and told Kagome to lay on the table.
After the ultrasound, Kagome headed backup to the room Tiger and the twins were. Koga and Inu Yasha had stayed behind to talk to the doctor.
As Kagome came around the corner she sighed and took a defense stance. “Can you just stay dead Naraku?”
Naraku stood at the end of the hall way. He shrugged. “I promised to never die until I had the satisfaction of you loving me. Now I know that will never happen. Heaven is despised with me and I’ve seen hell twice.”
Kagome relaxed and stood in the empty hall. “You met me, what twice, how can you love me Naraku?”
“Because you are the only one who was nice to me.” He whispered.
Kagome stepped back stunned. This was unnerving. “Anyone could have loved you Naraku, it’s just that you were greedy and.....scarey.”
“I’ve seen what I did. Don’t throw it in my face. Hell is nothing but being trapped in every evil thing you ever did. To replay everything. To lose you over and over again. The devil laughs at me now.”
Kagome looked to her left and right down the hall. She looked back at Naraku, he moved half-way down the hall. Kagome stepped back.
“Don’t be afraid of me Kagome.” He pleaded.
“You tried to kill me twice, how can I not.” She growled.
Naraku let out a sigh and stepped back a few times. “We’ll talk later. I mean no harm this time.”
“This time, here and now, or this life?” Kagome shot back.
“This life and the ones to come after.” He whispered then was gone.
“Hey Kagome, what are you going?” Koga touched her shoulder.
Kagome jumped a little and turned to her mates. “Sorry just thinking.” She lied.
“Come on, lets go get Tiger and head back to the palace.” Inu Yasha smiled.
“Okay.”
Tiger decided to stay at the hospital. So in the end Inu Yasha, Koga and Kagome had left. The two demons had been ordered to stay behind to watch over them. Kagome was too unnerved to not make them stay.
Shippo and CB bounced up to Kagome as she parked and climbed off her bike.
“Are we leaving?” He asked.
“Ya, let us put the bags in my car and then we’ll leave.” Kagome patted his head.
“Already there.” Koga put in.
“Dang people.” Kagome let out a sigh. “Ya come on lets go. What are we taking?”
“The trucks. Can’t take the cars or bikes.” Koga smiled.
“Trucks. You mean like big four-wheel drive trucks.” Kagome stuttered.
“Ya?” Inu Yasha looked at Koga.
“O...okay.” Kagome gulped.
“What’s up with you and trucks Kagome?!” Koga asked touching her arms.
“I got side-swiped with a truck on one of my bikes. The truck almost put me off a cliff. My uncle saved me at his own life. He took the fall instead.”
“How many people have died in your family Kagome?” Inu Yasha looked at her.
“Too many.” She whispered and looked at the gravel driveway.
“Kami.” They whispered. Shippo hugged Kagome as tightly as he could and Kagome smiled at his effort.
“Thanks.”
“Come on lets go, no more sad stuff.” Inu Yasha picked up Shippo and CB and handed them to Koga who went to put them in a separate vehicle. Inu Yasha pushed Kagome to the side of the house. Kagome seemed to tense as he pushed her to the vehicle. “Who do you want to drive you Kagome, to make this better?”
“You.” She whispered to Inu Yasha. He nodded and led her on to the truck.
Once he had Kagome in safely and buckled up he turned to Koga. “Meet us at the hanger.”
Koga nodded and head to the second truck.
Inu Yasha climbed into the Ford Super Duty. “You drove a truck the other day.” Inu Yasha mentioned.
“Yes but that was a low rider and the size of a car without the back seat. This though, is like being twenty feet off the ground.” Kagome held her arms.
“Just breath Kagome. Take it a minuet at a time. Breath, breath, breath.” Inu Yasha looked over at his mate as he pulled out of the driveway.
Finally half way to the hanger where the jet was kept Kagome calmed down. Inu Yasha put a CD in the player he had burned for Kagome. He wasn’t sure what some of the lyrics meant but the beat was good.
Kagome smiled over at him and kissed his cheek. “Thank you Inu Yasha. For being there for me.”
“Your welcome my love.” He smiled.
Kagome closed her eyes and began to sing with the music:
Nobody believes me when I tell them your out of your mind
Nobody believes me when I tell them that there’s so much you hide
You treat me like a queen when we go out
wanna show everyone what our love’s about.
All wrapped up in me whenever there is a crowd,
But when no ones around;
There’s no kindness in your eyes.
The way you look at me just ain’t right
I can tell what’s going on this time
There’s a stranger in my life
Your not the person that I once knew
Are you scared to let them know its you.
If they could only see it like I do
Then they would see a stranger too.
Did I ever so anything that was this cruel to you?
Did I ever make you wander who was standing in the room?
You made yourself look perfect in every way
So when this goes down, I’m the one that will be blamed
Your plan is working so you can just walk away
Baby your secret’s safe
There’s no kindness in your eyes.
The way you look at me just ain’t right
I can tell what’s going on this time
There’s a stranger in my life
Your not the person that I once knew
Are you scared to let them know its you.
If they could only see it like I do
Then they would see a stranger too.
Such a long way back, from this place we arrived
When I think of all the time I’ve wasted, I could cry
There’s no kindness in your eyes.
The way you look at me just ain’t right
I can tell what’s going on this time
There’s a stranger in my life
Your not the person that I once knew
Are you scared to let them know its you.
If they could only see it like I do
Then they would see a stranger too.
There’s no kindness in your eyes.
The way you look at me just ain’t right
I can tell what’s going on this time
There’s a stranger in my life
Your not the person that I once knew
Are you scared to let them know its you.
If they could only see it like I do
Then they would see a stranger too.
Kagome sung all the way to the hanger. Inu Yasha listened and replayed the song over and over. He drove the truck in behind Koga onto the jet.
They climbed out and Kagome swayed to the music. Inu Yasha grabbed the CD and lead them to the main compartment.
“Hey Hikoushi we’re here.” Inu Yasha called.
“Man I thought you bailed on me.” A elderly man joked.
“Na just some quick stops to make before hand. Hey, this is Kagome. My mate I was talking about.” Inu Yasha introduced. Kagome took the offered hand. Bird demon, Falcon.
“Nice to meet you.” Kagome smiled.
“And you, such beautiful young woman.” Hikoushi smiled and gave a half bow.
“It’s nice to meet a falcon demon as well, they are very rare. I’m glad to have the chance to meet one in person.” Kagome bowed lower.
“How did you know. My concealment spell...” Hikoushi seem shocked.
“Oh I’m sorry. I thought Inu Yasha told you. Im a miko, it’s a gift to know what you are.” Kagome elbowed Inu Yasha in the ribs.
“No. He forgot to mention that.” Hikoushi glared at the hanyou and laughed. “No big deal. Now lets fly.” Hikoushi turned and disappeared into a small compartment. The large engines roared to life and the group took their seats.
Less than thirty minuets later they were in the air and headed northeast over the ocean.
Shippo sat in a swivel chair looking out the window he watched as they flew over the clouds and ocean. CB sat curled up in a ball asleep in a chair.
“Hey Kagome. Did you know my birthday is right after you go back to school. Its August 25. Can we do something that day?”
“Ya, what do you want to do?” Kagome quickly looked at Inu Yasha and he motioned to stay quiet.
“Disneyland!” Shippo jumped to her lap and bounced up and down. “Please.”
“Make you a deal. We’ll go to Disneyland the whole weekend. but, you have to be good and that means no getting into trouble. We’ll get a hotel and to out to eat and be a family. We can stay up all night a watch movies or play games.” Kagome smiled.
“Really! I can stay up all night!” Shippo placed his hands on Kagome chest and leaned into her face, wide-eyed.
“Your turning 13 I don’t see why not. And me and Grandma and Grandpa talked, they liked your tattoo. You and you daddies can get it while I’m at school Friday to surprise me.”
“But you know I’ll be getting it. What’s the surprise?” Shippo sat back down with a thump. Inu Yasha and Koga came to sit next to them.
“You can show it to me and be a big boy. Besides you can make your daddies get the ones they are suppose to get.” She glared at Inu Yasha and Koga.
They laughed and continued the flight making plans. However, Inu Yasha and Koga never said where they were going.
“We’re about to land.” The intercom crackled.
“Ok.” Inu Yasha called. The flight had been almost 12 hours. Half way though everyone had changed to warmer clothes under orders of Koga and Inu Yasha.
The plane started it decent. Kagome closed her eyes as they hit turbulence. Her stomach twisted and she gasped.
“You ok?” Koga asked.
“Lying if I said yes.” She whispered trying to hold down the dinner they had ate. Kagome unbuckled quickly and headed to the bathroom in the back of the plane.
“Is she ok?” Inu Yasha panicked.
Kagome came back as the plane touched ground. Luckily this was a private flight or she would have never made it to the bathroom. Inu Yasha and Koga stood and went to her.
“I’m fine. Just had a minor disagreement with the babies.”
During the hospital visit, Kagome had found out she was expecting twins, but argued that she didn’t want to know the sex of either. The doctor had sighed and left it at that. Inu Yasha and Koga had stayed behind to talk about their soon to be pups.
“How big is minor?” Koga tweaked his eyebrow and looked at her.
“They didn’t like the change in altitude or the shaking.” Kagome sighed holding her stomach. She was already a pound heaver. One whole pound.
Shippo bounced over and stared up at the adults. “I didn’t like it either Kagome.”
“Well no sense in one little disagreement ruining our vacation. Lets go.” Kagome herded everyone off the plane and into the cold snow.
“You brought us to the snow.” Kagome gasped.
“Greenland to be exact. Good snow-boarding.” Koga smiled ushering to the waiting trucks that were being removed from the cargo area of the plane by Hikoushi. Kagome shivered and walked after her mates. The snow crushed under their feet and shimmered like glass. Shippo tugged on Kagome’s jeans.
“Can I get a ride?” He asked.
Kagome bent down and lifted the kitsune to her chest holding him tight to keep him warm. She slowly made her way over to the waiting vehicles and smiled as Koga opened her door. Warm heat washed over her. Over Koga’s shoulder Kagome saw Inu Yasha put CB in the other truck.
“It’s about an hour drive to the hotel who you want to drive you?” He asked as Inu Yasha came up. “You. Inu Yasha took me to the air port, you can take me to the hotel.
Koga pulled into the hotel parking lot. He had played a CD that Kagome had to translate the whole way. Every other track they would stop and talk about themselves. Kagome admitted that she had been snow-boarding twice and couldn’t do tricks or much, she could at least go down a hill and not fall. Koga had told her many of his secrets and fears that made Kagome look at him in a whole new way. Each one made her heart a little bigger towards the wolf, and now Kagome had a handle on her love for him.
The hotel was a large house. The outside was brick and logs. Four stories of windows and a elegant wrap around porch made Kagome fall in love with the building. Smoke poured from two chimneys.
“What do you think?” Koga asked leaning in close to her ear.
“I think that we need two rooms.” Kagome smiled.
“Hoping you would say that.” Koga turned off the truck and climbed out. Kagome opened her door and stepped into the snow. She wobbled forward a little ways but Koga came to her rescue and picked her up. Shippo and CB held onto Inu Yasha.
“Kagome?” CB called. She was in her kitsune form. Shippo looked to be blushing.
“YA?” Kagome called back. Koga stepped up onto the porch and set her down. Kagome stood and kissed his lips for a minuet before walking to the front door.
“What are we going here? It’s so cold.” Inu Yasha walked in and both kitsunes jumped to Kagome’s shoulders.
“Well, im not quite sure. This is where Inu Yasha and Koga brought us for vacation.” Kagome followed behind her mates as they approached the desk.
“Reservations for Tashio and Ookami.” Koga leaned against the desk.
“Ah yes the royal family. You suites are prepared. Both across from each other. Dinner is at 7:30. and breakfast is at 8 till noon. The ski shop has you stuff ready.” The man handed over two key cards and dabbed on. “Have a good stay.”
Inu Yasha smiled and headed towards the staircase to the left. Kagome and the kitsunes trudged up after him and finally Koga.
“Our rooms are the top floor. Shippo and Cherry Blossom will take the left side and the adults can have the right. No rough housing after 9 you two.” Inu Yasha turned and gave a meaningful glare to Shippo and CB.
“Your no fun daddy.” Shippo huffed.
“Im plenty of fun but other people stay here too. You don’t need to be keeping them awake all night.”
“Yes sir.” They whispered almost ashamed.
“Have fun though.” Kagome added. “Don’t be so good that its not fun. Go out in the snow and build a snowman or have a snowball fight. Just don’t hit any adults unless they want to join.”
“Yes ma’am.” The two seemed to perk up at her words. They were easier to follow.
Inu Yasha handed over a card to Shippo. Kagome lowered the two kitsunes from her shoulders and let them go into their room. Inu Yasha held up the second key and smiled.
He unlocked the door and opened it. Kagome stepped inside, she turned around and grabbed her mates hands pulling them in. Koga shut the door and turned the lock.
At dinner time, the other residents of the house were introduced. All but three were demons. Kagome smiled and committed to the conversation. But other thoughts were weighting her mind down.
“Hey Kagome are you ok?” Koga leaned over and whispered.
“Huh? Oh ya im fine.” She took a bite of stew and biscuit.
“No your not.” Inu Yasha whispered looking at her.
“Just thinking.” Kagome muttered.
“About?” Both demons pushed.
“We just had sex and you promised me that you would never leave me. It’s hard not to think about that when a day and a half ago Naraku said the same words.” Kagome excused herself and left the room.
Inu Yasha and Koga stared at each other shocked.
“Is everything alright?” A demon asked.
“Just fine.” Inu Yasha returned to his meal and kept casting glances at Koga. Koga returned the looks and together they left after dinner leaving the kids to go up stairs to play.
They found Kagome in tears on the porch. The wind was pushing snow onto the wood inches from her feet. Her light sweater and jeans probably were doing little to keep her warm.
“Kagome?” Inu Yasha reached forward to touch her and Kagome collapsed into his arms. Shivering from the cold and the tears still coming down her face. Inu Yasha picked her up in to his lap from the bench and held Kagome close lending her his body heat. Koga came and stood close protecting the couple from the wind and giving Kagome more body heat.
The sun left the horizon and day turned to night by the time the trio went back in. Kagome was ushered upstairs by both her mates and they quickly stripped her of the clothes she had on and put her to bed. Inu Yasha went downstairs and made a cup of tea and brought it back up for Kagome.
Kagome lay in bed with Koga curled close to him. Inu Yasha locked the door and walked to the bed handing her the tea. She accepted it and took a sip.
“I’d say lets give you a bath but you’re not that cold and personally this works just as well.” Inu Yasha pulled his shirt off and tossed it with Kagome and Koga’s.
“Four days then we have to go back to Tokyo.” Kagome sat the empty cup on the night stand and laid down. Inu Yasha finished removing his clothes and crawled in next to her holding her to his and Koga’s body.
“You could have got hypothermia or a cold for running off outside like that.” InuYasha whispered.
“Never crossed my mind.” Kagome whispered back and fell into a deep, warm sleep.
Kagome dressed in a pair of jeans and a sweater and headed downstairs to get Shippo and Cherry Blossom ready to go outside. They stood by the door waiting patently. Kagome sat down against the wall and helped Shippo into a coat and pair of boots his size. Then helped CB. She opened the doors and turned to slip on her own snow-boots and coat before slipping on gloves and out the door.
The sun beat down on the snow and created a glare making the day seem brighter than normal. The walk-way had been shoveled already. Both kitsunes we busy using the snow to build forts so they could have a snowball fight. Kagome sat on the steps and began the task of making the snowballs.
The fight had lasted about 2 hours and all three were freezing. Kagome picked up Shippo and CB, and went inside. She took off their boots and hung up their coats leading the kids to the kitchen. She fixed a pot of tea and they sat down near the fireplace to warm up.
InuYasha and Koga walked down the stairs talking about the wedding and Kagome’s coronation to queen. They had it all thought out.
Kagome looked back as her mates entered the room. “Hello.” She greeted.
“Can we talk to you a minuet Kagome.” Koga said from the doorway.
“Ya.” Kagome stood and walked over to them leaving Shippo and CB to talk about other stuff to do.
“About Shippo. How are we going to do the adoption papers?” Inu Yasha whispered.
“What do you mean?”
“Well he cant have two fathers and a mother. It’s a bit confusing.” Koga admitted.
“Look. All we have to do is go to the court and say we have a orphan in our custody who’s parents died in a fire. That we’ve been looking after him for however many years, and that we believe he is ready for us to adopt him. We have to explain the it is the royal family and that the prince and his mate with addition to one other are adopting him into a single family that is more than willing to take care of him.” Kagome looked back into the room and watched Shippo for a minuet.
“That might work.” Inu Yasha looked at Koga and Kagome.
“My phone is out of range. Give me yours Inu Yasha and I’ll call Sango to get me the number. I can have the papers ready when we get back so they are ready.” Inu Yasha handed her his cell phone and she kissed both her mates before heading upstairs to their room.
Kagome came down the stairs an hour later. Sango was leaving to go with Isa to the courts and explain the situation. If anything happened she was to be called.
Kagome walked into the living room to find no one. She headed to the kitchen, dining room, and library and still found no sign of anyone.
She looked outside and couldn’t find anyone.
Heading upstairs she knocked on Shippo and CB’s door. Nothing. Turning around Kagome almost screamed coming face to face with Naraku.
“Leave me alone.” She hissed stepping away from him.
Naraku let out a sigh and raised both of his hands. “I mean you no harm Kagome.”
“Says that cat to the mouse. What have you done with everyone?”
“They have all gone outside to play. You and I are the only one’s here.” he said.
“Naraku, I love Inu Yasha and Koga. I can’t and won’t even like you. Your dead. Can’t you just leave me alone!” Kagome whined.
“There is a great danger Kagome. It wants you and your family dead. Your mates, your friends, and the gang. I was part of it and when you killed me I was freed. Now I’m trying to help you.”
“Ya right. If that’s true, we would be attacked off and on. Nothing’s happening. No one is bugging us but you Naraku.” Kagome growled throwing her hands up.
“Ever wondered where your oh so sweet cousin Kikyo went to? Without her powers she’s nothing but bait and leverage to bring you running.” Naraku leaned forward and growled back.
“Kikyo is my family yes but I don’t care if she dies or lives, she tried to kill me, my mates, my family and my soon to be son.”
“Your soon to be son ya right. He won’t let you get Shippo legally. It would make you harder to get to.”
“Who is he?” Kagome whispered now listening.
“I can’t say. But it will all fall into action the first day back to school Kagome.”
“Ya but one thing he don’t know that I do will make a big difference. No one but three people know and we are not telling.” Kagome grinned.
“Good, keep it that way.” Naraku stepped back and was gone.
Kagome leaned against the wall and let out a long tired sigh. The first day back to school is really, really going to suck.
The vacation, came to a end. Kagome sat in the truck with Inu Yasha laughing and smiling as they headed back to the airport. Shippo and CB had built a snowman with the help of Inu Yasha and Koga, that took up half the yard. And of course, Koga and Inu Yasha got Kagome to snow-board for a day.
“So, Is everything set for us to go back to school in three days?” Kagome turned the music down and looked at Inu Yasha.
“Ya, dad called the school and told him everything. Koga will be going with work with dad to get in the swing of things and on Fridays can come hang out all day with us.”
“Works for me.” Kagome smiled.
“Our schedules and teachers are both the same and the teachers have been notified that I will be at your side. Body-guards and scouts will be throughout the building just in case.”Inu Yasha took a left and headed towards the private jet on the runway.
“Cool. But I thought you were going to take Shippo to get his tattoo?” Kagome looked ahead at the aircraft.
“No, Koga is going to do that.” Inu Yasha pulled up into the belly of the plane and parked.
“Well you and Koga have two weeks to get tattoo’s or you will not be in my bed.” Kagome smiled and exited the truck.
Hikoushi gave Kagome a hug and led her into the cabin of the plane.
Koga and Inu Yasha came in with both kitsunes.
“What the hell do you mean we have two weeks or we’re out of your bed.” Koga growled.
“I told you that if I got pierced then you had to get a tattoo and since that has yet to happen then I’m out of your bed. Not much else I can do.” Kagome sat in her chair and looked at both demons.
Shippo and CB looked at each other before excusing themselves and heading to the front to help Hikoushi.
“Who says that you’ll stay out of our bed?”
“I’m sure if I go to the Shrine a lot of demons can keep me there and besides Sango won’t let me leave if I tell her what’s up.” Kagome sat back in her chair with a smirk.
“Fine, when we land we’ll head over and get them.” Inu Yasha growled.
“Look Inu Yasha, Koga, I’ve done so much for both of you, just do this for me. I’m tired and annoyed with Naraku, don’t get all mad because I ask for one thing. Please.” Kagome whined.
“Your right, we haven’t been fair. You give yourself up to us both and never ask for much in return, and here we are being selfish.” Koga knelt in front of Kagome and looked in her eyes. “It will be done. We just want you to be happy.”
“I know, but we need this to be a give and take marriage not a ‘throw everything away’ thing.” Kagome whispered looking at the ground between her and her mate.
“Ok.” InuYasha sat down in the chair next to Kagome’s and leaned back. “Starting now we can only ask for something and give something. If not then we’re going to get to greedy. That’s the last thing we need in our marriage and for our country.” He clasp his hands and looked at the ground.
“Agreed.” Koga stood and smiled down at Kagome.
“Agreed.” Kagome echoed.
The flight home was just as boring as the flight there. Kagome slept most of the way home in her mates laps. Half the way in Koga’s. Half the way in Inu Yasha’s.
Tash and Isa met the group as the came in the door. Kagome hugged each of them and headed upstairs to prepare for Monday. Shippo and CB came up moments later followed by Inu Yasha and Koga.
“I still don’t like you getting to see Kagome more than I do.” Koga grumbled.
“Fine, go talk to dad and take it up with him. We can both go, I don’t care.” Inu Yasha shut the door to the room.
“What’s going on?” Shippo asked from a pillow near Kagome. Kagome looked up and continued to load her back pack with binders, folders and other supplies. She folded her schedule around her I.D. and placed it in her bag.
“Koga wants to go back to school with me and mommy.” Inu Yasha flopped on the bed and stared at the ceiling.
“That would be interesting.” Kagome commented tossing her bag into the corner. “It’s a great idea but can we get everything done before Monday. It is Saturday after all and tomorrow no one will be available. Speaking of that did Dad get Shippo enrolled for school also?”
“Ya. Shippo starts in another week though.”
“Does that mean Shippo will be in my class?” CB asked from beside Shippo.
“He should be.” Koga sat down on the floor leaning on the bed.
“Yay.” Both kitsunes cried.
Kagome laughed and leaned against the wall. “One problem. Naraku said that a great danger will start on the first day of school. I have no idea what it is and I’m not sure what to expect.” Kagome looked between Inu Yasha and Koga and tried to tell them there was more that needed to be talked about in private. She hoped they understood her look.
“Well, here’s a question that could help. How big of a barrier can you make and how long can you hold it? Cause if someone tries anything than you can guard the classroom or hall your in with who ever else.”
“I could put a barrier around a two block by two block area and hold it for a few hours. Hopefully it won’t come to that. And if I have my knife, the jewel and another power source I can triple that. I’m skilled in thirty-nine different weapons and I have a black belt in four different martial arts.” Kagome listed off.
“Ya know, you are not that good-girl person you were when I first met you. Hell I didn’t even know you were in a gang, I figured you were plain.” Inu Yasha said blandly.
Kagome snorted and turned her nose up. “Like I said do you want me to be like that and hang all over you like a fan girl? Or do you want me to be me?”
“You is perfect.” Koga interrupted Inu Yasha before more could be said.
“Good, cause that’s all your getting. Me, my demon, and my miko.”
Kagome’s cell phone rang and she answered it. “Hello?”
“Hey Kagome, it’s Draco. Tash told us you were heading back to school Monday with Inu. I want your permission before we transfer 30 members to Shikon High.”
“WHAT!? It’s not like we’re going to get shot at every time we change classes, Draco.” Kagome slid down the wall and placed a hand on her head.
“No but with you killing Naraku once and him coming back and then killing him again who knows if he’ll return a third time.” Kagome held her mouth on that, he didn’t need to know Naraku was already back and had been back.
“Fine, I have a feeling if I say no then Inu Yasha will just talk to you about it later.” Kagome sighed and said good-bye before hanging up.
“What did he want?” Inu Yasha asked sitting up.
“My permission to transfer members to Shikon High.” Kagome stood again and walked to the door. “I’m heading over to the shrine.” She left the room.
Kagome road her bike down to the shrine and parked it. No one seemed to be around but knowing people were trying to get settled and whatnot Kagome just ignored it all happy for the silence.
She walked to the family tree; a tall Goshinboku. Kagome smiled up at the sacred tree as memories of her childhood ran through her mind. Her hand reached up to the jewel at her neck.
“Ancestors from the past, I seek out your guidance.” Kagome knelt down in front of the tree and created a barrier. “I need you guidance.” She whispered once more before falling to her side and crying.
“What is it thy child that you seek?”
Kagome sat up and looked around. “I seek guidance for my future. Evil follows me everywhere. I wish to know if it is a past evil and how to take care of it.”
The voice laughed and Kagome caught a glimpse of a woman who looked like her through the barrier but yet not.
That jewel around your neck child. Every demon wants it. But the enemy you seek is from the past. I, your first ancestor, Mikodori, your enemy has been around for time and again, He is nothing for normal, just watch your back and trust no one.”
“And those already close to me?” Kagome wiped a stray tear away.
That’s your choice.”
Kagome knew that her new friend was gone. Outside the barrier it was dark now. She lay down in the grass and stared up at the sky through her pink world.
Inu Yasha and Koga went to talk to Tash about Koga also coming back to school. Sure both of them had been home-schooled and had a GED already plus about 3 years of government courses at collage but what would hurt to go back to high-school for a year with their mate.
In the end Tash had arranged for Koga to go anyways knowing he would want to go also. Everything was in order.
Kagome went to the main building and up to her room. No one had touched it except for Sango. Kagome stood in the room and looked around, it was cold and empty. Her bed was ruffled and gray looking. Kagome let out a sigh and grabbed some more clothes. She also grabbed some jewelry other than gold and diamonds.
On the drive back to the palace Kagome vowed to herself that if possible, she would never go back to the shrine.
The next day.
Kagome, Shippo, CB, Inu Yasha and Koga all headed down to Rakuin’s.
“Hey baby.” Rakuin hugged Kagome and knocked fists with Inu Yasha and Koga. “What’s up?”
“Their turn.” Kagome smiled pointing to her mates. “My choice.”
Rakuin laughed and led them to the books. He leaned against the table as Kagome flipped through the pages looking for the right one.
Finally Kagome decided on a metal cross that had angel wings around it. In the center was a heart.
“I like that one.” Kagome pointed it out.
“Same.” Koga leaned over Kagome’s shoulder.
“Works for me.” Inu Yasha whispered in Kagome’s ear.
Kagome shivered and turned around to look him in the face. “You have one month, Mr. Tashio. Then your seduction will not work cause I will not have any more of your two’s kids for a while.” Kagome poked him in the chest.
“How do you know that?” Inu Yasha smirked. “You can’t just stop. And if you can you know it will cost you.”
“Maybe so, but we can’t have Japan bursting with yours and Koga’s pups, now can we. We might live for the next century but that don’t mean I need to be having pups every nine weeks.” Kagome growled in his face.
“Kagome, calm down.” Kagome looked up from Inu Yasha and over to Koga who was laying on his stomach shirt off.
Kagome grumbled something and took a seat next to Koga. He reached over for her hand and rubbed his thumb over the back of it.
“What is up with you wench?” Inu Yasha growled.
“Inu Yasha, Inu Yasha, its called hormones.” Rakuin laughed.
“More like PMS.” Inu Yasha muttered under his breath.
“Say that louder.” Kagome challenged.
“Kids present.” Koga spoke up.
Kagome looked over at Shippo and CB. “Your right, we’re fighting in front of them.” At that moment Kagome’s cell went off again.
“You got twenty seconds to tell me what you want before I hang up.” Kagome said.
“The judge won’t let you adopt Shippo.” Sango stated getting to the point.
“Fuck him then, I’ll get the papers myself.” Kagome stood.
Koga and Inu Yasha’s heads snapped to Kagome.
“Well have fun with that. Miroku and I are headed out, I can’t do much more.”
“Thanks Sango.” Kagome flipped the phone closed. “I’ve got some stuff to do. I’ll be home tonight sometime.” Kagome kissed Koga good-bye and stood in front of Inu Yasha she let out a sigh and kissed him also.
“Kagome wait, let us do this and we can go together.” Inu Yasha wrapped his arms around Kagome’s waist and leaned in head on her stomach.
“Kami I hate this.” Kagome whispered.
Koga watched his mate with concern as Rakuin worked at his shoulder.“Ya know what I think?”
Kagome turned to look at Koga.
“I think that it’s already done, no papers needed. We know who’s where and what’s ours, who cares if the government doesn’t have it on file.” Kagome smiled and laughed. For the first time that day a smile reached her eyes.
Inu Yasha looked up at his mate and smiled before hiding his face in her shirt. Under all the smells and material he could smell the skin of his mate and their pups.
“Kagome?” Inu Yasha nuzzled her belly.
“Ya?” She placed a hand on his head and looked down.
“I hear them. I smell them.” he murmured
“They are yours and Koga’s. Our decisions, our mistakes. Our future.” Kagome knelt down and looked at Inu Yasha’s face. “All ours.” She smiled and stood again to only sit on his lap wrapping her arms around his neck. “So santa, what next?”
Inu Yasha and Koga laughed at her; mood swings.
“Finish up here and go out to lunch?” Koga suggested.
Rakuin changed colors and went back to work. “Almost done.”
“Cool.” Kagome smiled. “Where for lunch?”
“How about the club? Mom gave us the wedding invitation and reception list for Toby.” Inu Yasha pulled two papers from his back pocket with some trouble.
Kagome snatched the papers away from him and looked at them. “I like the invites.” She handed it back to him. Opening up the next paper which turned out to be all but a 20 page packet of names. “Who in the world are half these people? Ambassador Ri-Lin? Ken Watanabe?” Kagome handed the list back to her mate.
“Important people.” Shippo said pointing out a tattoo to CB.
“Feh, not very important to me.” Kagome crossed her arms and stuck up her nose.
“Kagome, Ken for your information is you grandpa’s cousin’s best-friend. Rumored to be the last samurai.” Rakuin sat straight up. “Your done Koga.” Koga turned to his side and sat up. He hopped off the table and walked the few feet over to Kagome and Inu Yasha.
“How’s it look.” Kagome turned him around and admired the tattoo.
“Rakuin you did good. On Inu’s though can you change the colors a bit so they don’t match. Neither one of the are alike in anyway.” Kagome kissed Koga’s back and stood.
“Ya.” Rakuin stretched. “Next.”
Inu Yasha stood and took the chair. He sat it next to the table. He pointed to Kagome. “Sit.” Koga instead took the chair and pulled Kagome into his lap. Inu Yasha pulled off his shirt and laid down.
An hour later....Inu Yasha led his group out of he building.
“Ya know, we have a problem. We brought bikes.” Koga stood looking at the three motorcycles.
“Just flank me.” Kagome took her helmet and put it on. Shippo and CB jumped on her bike as Kagome walked her bike backward. Koga and Inu Yasha looked at each other before loading their bike and sliding on their helmets.
Kagome led the way to Toby’s. Inu Yasha and Koga watched her and ignored the stares, whistles and picture flashes from the sidewalk.
Pulling into the parking lot of the bar, club, whatever you want to call the place, Inu Yasha and Koga slipped back on their shirts.
Toby greeted them at the door. Inu Yasha tossed the papers down on the counter and leaned on the clean surface.
“Kami, is this the reception list?” Toby flipped through the pages.
“Ya, that’s who mom invited, however; I have no idea if they are all coming.” Inu Yasha leaned over the bar and looked at what was under it.
“Kagome have you ever made drinks?” Toby looked up at Kagome.
“A few but not lot.” She sat CB and Shippo down on stools.
“Get our scrawny butt over here and help me out. Im short a few hands today.” Toby flipped a area if the counter over and ushered Kagome in.
“Ya know Toby, Koga should be over there not Kagome.” Inu Yasha grinned.
“Fine, you too wolf. Kagome, hunny, stay.” Toby smiled grabbing Koga’s shirt and pulling him behind the bar.
“Hey, I need another beer.” Someone at the end of the bar yelled over the music. Toby pushed Kagome over and she handed the guy a beer. He handed her money and walked off.
Turning Kagome gulped looking at Toby as his eyes looked her over. “You need help, hun.”
“I’m holding my mind together very well thank you. I don’t need help.” Kagome placed her hands on her hips and growled.
Inu Yasha and Koga burst up laughing. Toby just blinked at Kagome and smile. “Well your doing a good job considering you mates over here.” He laughed as Inu Yasha and Koga stopped.
“Well I have to agree they are not the two easiest people to get along with. You can’t ever win with them” Kagome smiled.
“Excuse me but I need a drink.” Someone asked. Kagome continued to watch her mates and Toby not looking behind her.
“What you want?” Kagome asked over the music that was now getting louder.
“Beer is fine.” Kagome turned and grabbed one from under the counter not looking at the person waiting.
She jumped as her rear end was slapped and ended up hitting her head on the counter top.
Kagome slammed the bottle on the bar and stared at her costumer. “I really suggest you don’t do that.” She growled looking Hojo in the face.
He hiccuped and smiled at her swaying, “You own me.” He slurred.
“Feh, for ditching me on a date, not!” Kagome growled. Inu Yasha and Koga came and stood at her side. Toby stood behind them not sure what to do.
“No, for not telling you that some rich man wants you dead.” He smiled and leaned on the bar. “Your cute with those ears and tail, not that you weren’t before.”
“Who wants me dead?” Kagome asked sounding not cared but interested.
“He told me the night before our date to not get close cause you were going to die.” He slurred and toppled over.
Kagome leaned over the bar and stared at Hojo, would you happen to know this man’s name?” Kagome asked Hojo before he passed out.
“Isamiki something.” He passed out.
Kagome stood straight up and stone cold. She turned and brought out her cell phone dialing a number and waiting at it rung. “Sango, make the calls to the gang and let everyone know Dagger is it be caught and held, I want him alive.” She clicked off the phone and dialed another number and waited not paying attention to the world around her. “Rin, start calling your side of the gang and tell them Li (Dagger) Isamiki, is to be captured and held, as soon as you have him in hand or see him call me I don’t care how late it is, I want him alive.” Kagome hung up the phone again before Rin could ask questions.
“Isn’t Dagger one of the guys we met at the biker meet thing that night we met Naraku?” Koga asked touching his mates arm.
“Yes, and a friend of the family’s, he was always jealous of my father and uncle for having so much. He must have hired Naraku to kill my family and me knowing Naraku liked me, he is a liar and a traitor to the gang and family. Shippo, CB, I want you both to stay quiet about this, that means it never leaves you lips again. Let us handle this, I have a feeling we got spies in our mist, we don’t need him knowing we know about him.” Kagome’s voice was dark and cold. Toby shivered. Inu Yasha and Koga’s demon blood spiked and broke the surface.
“Let’s go home.” They growled.
Kagome looked at them and wanted to say no but held her tongue knowing that it would only make them think she was trying to be alpha.
“Toby, we’ll be back later, this is a issue we have to deal with.” Kagome brushed her hair back from her shoulders and stepped forward.
“I understand. I may not be a demon but I can tell they are demons, full demons at that. Your on a hunt now, just stay safe.” He moved out of the way and let them leave.
The next morning as the sun rose from the horizon Kagome and her mates were up and in their cars headed to Shikon High. Kagome found it funny as she drove that the school was named after the jewel around her neck. She shrugged and drove on.
The parking lot was busy with students. Kagome revved and a path cleared as students hurried to the sidewalk and stared. Kagome parked near the back and Koga and Inu Yasha pulled into the spots next to her.
They grabbed their bags and started walking to the front doors where they were suppose to meet up with the rest of the gang. The whole school seemed to stop and start whispering as they walked but Kagome ignored them all.
“KAGOME!” Someone yelled.
Kagome looked up at the top of the steps at the large crowd to the left. Rin stood waving to her with a big smile. Kagome smiled and waved back.
Inu Yasha and Koga smiled and walked up the steps beside Kagome. It was weird being back at school.
“What’s up with the hats?” Rin asked.
“Ears. Duh.” Kagome smiled and hugged Rin. “Let’s get to class.”
Kagome led the way into the school. Inu Yasha and Koga at her sides and the rest of the gang behind them. The halls were filled with people. Kagome pulled out her I.D. and slipped it on around her neck and unfolded her schedule.
“We have....Calculus first. And our lockers are...this way.” Kagome took a right and the gang broke up into groups at that point. Kagome walked down the hall and stopped next to a group of lockers. “1738, 1740, and 1741. All top.” Kagome spun in her combo as did her mates and opened the small metal cubical. Kagome piled her books and gym clothes in and looked back at her schedule. “Keep your calculus book, and your science book. We can swing back by and grab our clothes before heading to gym third period.”
“You seem tense.” Koga leaned in and whispered.
“Something is going to happen today and I have no idea what. I don’t have a weapon on me and I’m scared.” Kagome shut her locker and sighed.
“We’re here.” Inu Yasha kissed her cheek. “Now come on, I was always late for classes and lets not make it a habit this year. Last thing we need is Mr. Myoga back on our cases, huh Koga.” Inu Yasha laughed.
“Good point.” Kagome led the way down the hall and into a class room. She took a seat next to the window half way down the aisle.
“Is it a good idea to be next to the window?” Koga asked taking a seat beside his mate.
“I can blast it if I have to or I can shield it.” kagome sat her books down,
“Any chance we can take the three middle seats? It would be better to protect both.” Inu Yasha pointed out.
“That’s true.” Kagome stood and walked around the desks to the very center of the room and took a seat.
Koga stayed in his seat and Inu Yasha took the one on the other side of Kagome.
Five minuets later a short man with no hair walked into the class. He looked over the class and sat his briefcase on the teacher’s desk.
“Hello class.” He said with a voice that sounded like he had a plugged nose. “I’m Mr. Myoga.”
“Hello Mr. Myoga.” The class echoed except for Inu Yasha and Koga.
“Time for roll and then we’ll talk about our summers.” He started calling out names and stopped. “Trouble-maker 1?” Mr. Myoga sighed.
“Here.” Koga smirked.
“Nice to have you back Koga.” Mr. Myoga sighed again.
“Just keep saying that Myoga.” Koga laughed.
A few more names. “Trouble-maker 2?”
“Hello again Myoga.” Inu Yasha said without emotion.
“Plan on being 20 minuets late again this year Inu Yasha?” Mr. Myoga rubbed his forehead.
“No, but hey, that just depends, is this the same boring lessons you taught 30 years ago?”
“The system hasn’t changed, you know that. So ya it is.”
Inu Yasha snorted. “Then I might just sleep in.” Kagome leaned over and slapped his shoulder. Inu Yasha smiled at her.
“Whatever Inu Yasha. Kagome H-O-T.” Mr. Myoga read out.
“H-O-T. That’s what they put. Well its better than Higurashi- Ookami- Tashio.” Kagome sighed and raised her hand. “Here.”
“Ookami and Tashio!” Mr. Myoga said surprised.
“Ya I got both of them.” Kagome laughed shortly.
“Good luck with that.”
“Oh just wait till you hear the rest.” Kagome blushed.
“After class.” Mr. Myoga laughed.
Mr. Myoga finished reading off the roll and started back at the top asking how their summer was. He looked up at the clock half way, “Ok, five minuets left, homework, page 126 in your book; review; all questions.” Kagome marked the page with a piece of paper and wrote it down in her planner.
The bell rang and the class cleared out.
“So what else is added to this?” Mr. Myoga asked as Kagome, Inu Yasha and Koga approached the front of the room.
“I’m stuck with both of them for the next 100 years and im pregnant with more than one pup.” Kagome sighed.
Mr. Myoga laughed. “So your also the next queen?”
“That too.”
“Good luck with that, you’ll need it.” Mr. Myoga patted Kagome’s shoulder and shook hands with Inu Yasha and Koga before ushering them out the door and to their next class.
Science went the same as first hour. Homework? Brush up on last years topics.
Inu Yasha and Koga held Kagome’s hands as the walked down the halls back to their lockers.
“Well good thing we didn’t have to share our summer story today, I don’t think I would have said a word.” Kagome opened her locker and tossed her books in and grabbed her gym clothes.
“Well our summer hasn’t been PG13. Considering killing a man and gang activities are not what you’d expect a high school student to be into.” Koga smiled and shut his locker.
Inu Yasha laughed. “Well it’s not what you’d expect the royal family to do either.”
“That’s very true.” Kagome laughed. “Ya know I turned the royal family into a bunch of gang members. And the palace into a hang out.”
“Ya but it’s better then some boring, snobby, old place. It’s much more fun with you around.” Inu Yasha kissed her lips quickly and grabbed her hand pulling her towards the gym.
Koga grabbed Kagome’s other hand and walked with them.
Gym class was usually separated between boys and girls in the beginning but this year was different.
Kagome changed and met her mates outside the changing room doors.
“Hello class, I see everyone is back. And only two new faces.” The teacher looked over at Inu Yasha and Koga. “Nice to have you back boys.” She smiled.
“Glad to be back for the year.” Inu Yasha and Koga smiled.
The class erupted into whispers. Kagome mentally started wondering what lunch in two hours was going to be like.
“Anyways, starting next Monday, we’re going archery again. Kagome I’m sure you’ll bring your own bow?”
“Ya.” Kagome nodded and sat down on the matted floor.
“Good, today, we’ll be seeing if any of you worked at all over the summer. Two miles on the track.”
Inu Yasha and Koga helped Kagome up and headed outside. They warmed up and started at a medium run.
“Pace yourselves.” The teacher called.
“Hey Koga?” Kagome asked.
“Ya?”
“How fast can we go and for how long?”
“Well, I figure if you wanted to we could run the two miles in about 6-7 minuets.” Inu Yasha said.
“Race you.” Kagome took off laughing.
Koga and Inu Yasha looked at each other and gave chase.
“Kagome what are you doing, pace yourself.” The teacher called as Kagome ran by.
“I’m running.” Kagome took the curve and looked behind her watching Inu Yasha and Koga come around. One lap down.
Six laps later, Kagome, Inu Yasha, and Koga had lapped everyone at least twice and were still running.
One lap left and Kagome sped up a little more. Inu Yasha and Koga smiled and took off also. Entering the final turn Inu Yasha and Koga passed Kagome each looking back and sticking there tongues out at her. They smiled at the crossed the finish/start line. Moments before Kagome.
“That’s not fair!” Kagome growled.
“Sure it is.” Inu Yasha teased leaning up against the chain link fence. “You wanted to race, we raced and won.”
Kagome pouted and began walking away.
Koga smiled and followed her. Inu Yasha let out a sigh and walked quickly to catch up.
“KAGOME!” Kagome stopped and turned towards the call.
Eri, Ayumi, and Yuka came running up to her side. Kagome stared at them. “Hey Kagome, how was your summer?”
“Fine.” Kagome looked back at her mates lost. They shrugged and moved to her sides.
“Kami, it is true.” Eri whispered.
“Is there something you would like to share?” Kagome crossed her arms.
“Hun? Oh no. Umm... what are you doing Saturday?”
“I have a birthday to take care of all weekend.” Kagome smiled, no need for them to know it was her adoptive son.
“That sucks for you.” The three girls chimed.
Kagome held back a growl. “No not really, we plan on having a bit of fun here and there.”
“Good luck with that, so what are you doing tomorrow after school?” Ayumi asked.
Kagome looked back at her mates. Inu Yasha had a gleam in his eyes along with Koga. “We have plans.”
“And the day after?”
“Look, I really don’t have time to hang out. Besides, I’m just not in the mood. I’ll talk to you later.” Kagome turned and continued her cool down lap. Inu Yasha and Koga followed her leaving the three girls to stand in the middle of the track as a group of kids jogged past.
“I don’t like them.” Inu Yasha said with his arms crossed once they were on the other side of the track.
“They are my friends, sort of. They are more into themselves then what’s good for them. Personally, we have nothing in common and no one knows about the gang except the members who attend school and they don’t tell.” Kagome looked up at the sky.
“So your life is kinda secret.” Koga walked in front of Kagome backwards watching her face.
“Ya it is, I don’t want people to look at me and not like me cause of what I do. People think gangs are drugs, sex and money. Surprisingly we donate quite a bit anonymously to charities and organizations.” Kagome stopped realizing they had finished their cool down lap.
“To tell you the truth, you changed my point of view of a lot of things.” Inu Yasha hugged Kagome as they headed towards the teacher.
“That’s good, a king should always have two different views; the political or best profit view and the right view, the way the people see it. A king is no king at all if he only sees things that are best for himself and not his people.”
The teacher looked at them as they approached. “That was very good you three. You should join a sport or track.”
“No, we have to much to do this year and Kagome has to graduate. Besides, we are all demons it would be unfair.” Koga smiled and threw an arm across Kagome’s shoulders.
“So you’re a demon now Kagome?” The teacher laughed.
“Ya, but not full. And im still a miko.”
“Well, are you going to teach archery class again this year?”
“If you want me too. My bow is in the back of my car.” In truth that’s not all that was in the trunk of her car but she didn’t need to know that. But with everything doing on how could she not have anything with her even if it was in her car, all she had to do was melt through the ground, into her trunk, grab something and head back from where she came.
“I heard you talking to your friends saying you were busy after school. But can you stay one day and I’ll go over the lesson plan with you.”
Kagome looked at her mates. “She can stay an hour after school today.” Inu Yasha smiled.
“But, we have to stay too.” Koga added.
“That’s fine, why don’t you three do get ready for you next class.” The group of teens jogged by as the three took their leave.
Koga and Inu Yasha kissed Kagome each as they split to head into the locker rooms. Kagome pulled off her tank top and grabbed her uniform shirt. She pulled it over her head and opened her eyes.
“Naraku.” She hissed looking around.
“You have an hour.” He smiled and disappeared.
“Men.” Kagome growled and finished changing. She grabbed her bag and left the locker room. One hour till something.... That put it at.....lunch.
Kagome’s face palled as she pushed open the locker room door. Koga and Inu Yasha were talking as they came out.
“What’s wrong Kagome?” Inu Yasha asked.
“One hour, till whatever Naraku told us about happens.” Kagome stuttered.
“That’s after our next class, so?”
“So, that means it’s at lunch, the time when everyone is in the same room at the same time.” Students could go off grounds for lunch though but with rush hour and the closest place to eat being 20 minuets away everyone stayed in the cafeteria, besides the food wasn’t that bad.
“Damn.” Inu Yasha combed his hair back with his fingers. “Well that complicates things more.”
“A lot more.” Koga let out a sigh. “Well lets head to class and hope that we have a plan in time.” Kagome nodded and headed down the hall.
History was boring as ever. More of the ‘and what did you do this summer?’ Kagome laid her head down on her desk and let out a sigh. Inu Yasha looked over and grinned. He scribbled something on a piece of paper the teacher had handed out. Inu Yasha folded it and tossed it to her when the teacher turned his back. Kagome opened it and read it sitting up. Koga leaned over and looked also.
Inu Yasha smiled as Kagome’s eyes widened. She looked over at him and firmly whispered a silent no. He pouted and Kagome let out a sigh. It would be like him to want to make out in front of the whole school in the lunch room.
Koga held back a laugh which turned into a funny snort. Kagome looked at him. ‘You too?’ She mouthed.
‘You have to admit you are addicting.’ Koga mouthed back.
Kagome placed her head back on the desk and let her hair fall around her so no one could she the blush rising on her cheeks.
The bell rang and Kagome grabbed her bag and headed out the door. Inu Yasha and Koga stayed a few feet behind her and whispered to each other. Kagome tried to listen in but sadly they were talking in growls; dog language.
Kagome walked to her locker without a word and placed her books in. Taking out her lunch and her next classes books she shut her locker. Kagome turned and stepped back. Inu Yasha and Koga stood blocking anyways of leaving. Kagome held her books closer to her chest and leaned up against the lockers.
“We don’t have time for this, not here.” Kagome looked at the thinning hall ways. Soon no one stood in the hall. She sighed in defeat. Koga and Inu Yasha stepped closer. “Just a kiss Kagome.” Koga leaned in and pressed his mouth to hers. Kagome opened a little and the kiss deepened. Koga grabbed Kagome’s books and dropped them on his bag so they made no sound. He pressed her to the locker and placed his hands on her hips. Kagome wrapped her own arms around his neck. The kiss broke and both panted for breath.
Koga stepped back and smiled. Inu Yasha stepped forward and took his place. Kagome lightly placed her hands on his chest and smiled. Inu Yasha smiled back. He leaned down and kagome opened her mouth kissing just as deeply as Koga had. Inu Yasha wrapped his arms around her back and hugged her close. Kagome moved her hands up and grabbed hand fulls of his hair. Moments later they both pulled away panting for air. Koga stood with his bag over one shoulder.
“Ok, I’m better.” He grinned. Kagome slowly let go of Inu Yasha.
“Me too.” Inu Yasha smiled to her stepping away.
Kagome smiled back and reached out for their hands. Together they walked down the halls into the cafeteria.
Rin and the six other walked to meet them. The room was unnaturally darker but maybe it was just clouds outside over the sun. Rin led them to a bunch of tables in the corner, three of which were filled with gang members talking to each other. They all looked up and called a ‘hi’ to their leaders.
“Hello everyone.” Kagome greeted taking a seat in the far corner facing the room. Across the tables on the edge of everyone Kagome saw Hojo glare at her before looking away.
The lights flickered and the gang looked around. Kagome had told Rin of what ‘an anonymous’ person had told her about an attack. Rin had warned everyone else and now all they could do was wait.
The lights flickered again and the shadows expanded.
Inu Yasha leaned over. “I think we may have a problem.”He whispered in Kagome’s ear.
“Me too.”
Inu Yasha kissed her cheek to make it look as if her told something and nothing was up.
Kagome looked out into the room, everyone was looking around still talking.
The room brightened and grew dark again. Outside the sky was getting gray.
“Looks like rain.” A gang member looked at Kagome.
Koga leaned over to Inu Yasha and whispered something. Inu Yasha nodded and leaned over to Kagome.
“We need to take this outside. Koga thinks we’re dealing with shadow demons. I’m starting to agree, this is all to clean.”
Kagome nodded. “Hey guys, why don’t we head outside so we can talk and not be so noticed.” The group of 30 stood and grabbed their lunches, evidently they were having their own ideas of the attack. Kagome motioned for Rin to come to her side. “I want you to pretend to go to the bathroom. Call Draco and let him know we are on edge. But not to jump and send half a dozen people out here. We need to let them think we don’t know and let them attack first, so if someone on their side is killed its self-defense not murder. And call Sesshy, let him know we might need a lawyer, the teachers may like some of us but I know we all have our share if ‘stuff’ in our cars.” Rin nodded and headed to the bathroom.
A demon stepped forward. “Kagome?”
Kagome turned around looking at the woman. “My name’s Kagura, im a wind sorceress, I’ll try and pass this storm if you ask it.” Kagome motioned for her to follow as she led them out of the room.
“Leave the storm. If this gets bad though I need you to help me out. I’ll create a ball of power around me, I need you to...” Kagome whispered her plan and led everyone to a group of tables under the trees. Students milled about talking with friends or flirting with the other sex.
The clouds over head darkened and lightning flashed. Thunder rumbled as the shadows expanded closer and closer.
Inu Yasha and Koga took a seat next to Kagome surrounded by a bunch of members on top of a table. They started taking but everyone was on edge.
Finally rain poured from the sky and students ran inside. Kagome and her gang stayed put. No way could they risk innocent lives. The shadows grew tall and began forming above the ground. They stood five feet tall and black as night. Red eyes sat in the middle of what looked to be a face. Ten at least. No more than fifteen. The gang members stood up slowly and turned.
The shadows charged and crashed into the gang hitting first. Thunder and lightning flashed over head as punches from the gang started. They had hit first any thing that died would be self-defense on the gangs part; hopefully. Each man was for himself. Inu Yasha and Koga covered the table they were sitting on as Kagome flowed into the ground and off to her car to get weapons.
Demon claws and fists went right through the shadows and the fighting increased.
Kagome flowed up next to her car and popped the trunk. Inside every kind of weapon lay. Kagome grabbed Inu Yasha and Koga’s sword. Sadly Sango and Miroku were both at the warehouse trying to find Dagger. But Sango had gave Kagome her sword and knife. Kagome grabbed an arm full of swords and other daggers. She threw her mates swords and Sango’s over her shoulder and slammed the trunk shut before flowing back into the ground.
Switching course slightly Kagome headed for the main doors. She flowed up in time to catch Rin and hand her a sword. Students gathered at the windows and doors looking out into the rain. They started talking as they saw Kagome and Rin. Kagome ignored it and nodded to Rin before going into the ground and back to the table.
Kagome flowed up through the table and tossed the swords out. She handed Inu Yasha and Koga their’s quickly. They unsheathed then a fought on. Kagome took Sango’s blade and plowed into the masses.
Teachers rushed out only to stop at the sight.
Kagome rushed out the other side of the group with Kagura in tow. She bowed to the ground holding the sword out to the side. A pink globe of energy crackled around her. Kagura took a stance and the wind picked up. The ball of energy spun around and around creating what looked to be a small tornado.
“Everyone move, move, move!” Kagura screamed running as far away as she could. The gang scatter, from middle to outside, in different directions.
Kagome’s feet rose off the ground as she started to spin. She could faintly hear Kagura screaming under the wind. The shadows bunched together as Kagome’s little energy tornado crept forward. She had never tried this but she was getting weak fast.
After a lot of turns Kagome looked out and gasped. The small shadow demons had combined to for a tall, broad, giant of darkness.
The trees bowed towards Kagome as the crept forward more. The shadow’s arm swung at her and disintegrated.
“I’m sorry.” Kagome whispered. She threw up a barrier around the school and her friends as the tornado broke and power rushed out. The demon screamed a loud and thunderous sound before breaking down and disappearing. Kagome closed her eyes and fell to the ground the sword flying out of her hand.
She hit the ground and something pierced her shoulder. Kagome screamed and both barriers dropped.
“KAGOME!” Thousands of voices screamed as she fell unconscious.
Inu Yasha and Koga fought against the hands of their own friends holding them back as Kagome fell from the sky. They screamed her name as the sword drove its way into her body, where they were unsure. Tears ran down their eyes as she screamed. Trying one last time to run to her aid as the barriers fell. This time succeeding.
“Kagome!” Koga and Inu Yasha cried holding her body against theirs. Pulling the sword from her shoulder.
Gang members crowded around their leader silent.
The teaches pushed their way to Kagome, Inu Yasha and Koga. No one said a word but the sobs of the two holding the girls form could be heard.
“O Kami, Kagome” More than one person said.
Rin held on the closest person and cried. The man looked at Rin and held her close.
Emotions ran high as girls and some men cried. Others who didn’t know her well stood by and showed support for the crying.
Mr. Myoga knelt beside the three on the ground. “Let’s take her inside, we’ll help the wound and make sure she’s ok.” He whispered.
Inu Yasha and Koga growled low. No one was touching their mate.
“Get some blankets out here.” Mr. Myoga ordered. A path opened and two teachers rushed to get the blankets.
Inu Yasha sniffed Kagome’s shoulder and plunged his tongue in. Her body jerked and Koga held firm. Inu Yasha cleansed the wound and sucked out some of the blood. Koga moved behind Kagome and ripped her uniform shirt off. Inu Yasha pulled away long enough to pull the remaining parts of cloth away before moving back to the wound.
Koga copied Inu Yasha at Kagome’s back. They stood slowly and pressed their bodies to hers holding her up. Kagome’s head fell to the side.
Mr. Myoga stood by and watched them, never in his time had he seen this, maybe Kagome and her mates were closer than he thought.
The two teachers came back holding large piles of blankets. They gasped at the scene before them. The school rules rushing through their minds.
“What are they doing?” One teacher hissed to Mr. Myoga.
Mr. Myoga turned at stared at the two women. “They; are going what comes naturally to demons. Kagome is hurt they are healing her, their way.” Two gang members stepped forward one being Rin.
“Kagome, Inu Yasha and Koga are one. They are closer than mates and closer and being bonded. They move as one and act as one. Never to harsh, never to soft. What they are doing is working as one to fix part of themselves, because without just one part, they all fall to pieces. Kagome is the glue, Inu Yasha and Koga are the paper, or what ever you want to say.” Rin defended.
“And the weapons?” The second teacher asked pointing to the sword feet from them.
“You saw what they were facing.” Mr. Myoga growled.
“Look, Mrs. Satoshi, we got a tip that something dangerous would attack the involved persons here you see. We only defended ourselves keeping these weapons in our cars and away from others. We brought the war outside so no one but ourselves would be hurt. This was planned out, if you want to press charges, my mate, has a lawyer on call. He will defend us.” Rin looked the teachers up and down. If they only knew.
Heads snapped towards the three demons as a feminine moan came from that direction. Kagome leaned on the body in front of her. Her shoulder hurt but not as badly. Her eyes fluttered open at see silver hair. Inu Yasha.felt a second hard body against her back. Koga.
Rin let out a sigh of relief.
Kagome pushed her body closer to Inu Yasha’s and nuzzled his neck. He’s movements on her shoulder slowed to more sexual ones. Kagome nudge his hair out of her way and licked at the skin. Koga pushed Kagome further into Inu Yasha’s body.
Inu Yasha pulled away and looked at his mate’s eyes. He smiled and she smiled back. Inu Yasha reached up and slipped the snow-hat from Kagome’s head and released her ears.
The teachers standing around gasped.
Kagome stood still. She was the female. Inu Yasha looked into Kagome’s deep black eyes and leaned forward kissing her fully. Koga licked Kagome’s shoulder a couple more times before moving her hair and kissing her neck, sucking and nipping at the soft flesh.
“Inu Yasha, Koga, take your mate home.” Mr. Myoga commanded.
Inu Yasha and Koga looked at him, both their eyes blood red. Kagome whimpered and their attention was back on her.
Koga stepped away from his mate and walked to Rin. She held out his and Inu Yasha’s swords. Koga took them and looked at her.
“It would be our honor to take you and your others cars to your home.” Rin bowed. Sesshomaru had explained this much to her, never push a demon or poke his buttons unless they knew you were messing around. This, this wasn’t the best situation to mess around in. Koga growled and tossed a set of keys at Rin. Rin bowed again and stood not looking into his eyes. Koga growled back at Inu Yasha. He in turned tossed a set of keys to Rin, who again bowed.
“Mistress Kagome, it would be Rin’s honor to take you car back to your home.” Rin address Kagome.
Kagome turned to Rin and looked confused. Inu Yasha growled something to her and Kagome nodded pulling out her car keys. She handed then to Inu Yasha and he tossed then to Rin again. Rin bowed and turned handing them to Kagura.
Koga turned and went back to his mate. Inu Yasha picked her up and jumped over the crowd and raced back to the palace.
Students screamed and pointed as they sailed over them and ran off.
Rin pulled out her cell phone and called her mate. “Sesshomaru! Call Tash and Isa and let them know do not go home. Inu Yasha and Koga drank Kagome’s blood. She got hurt and they healed her but now you know. They’re headed back to the palace.....Kagomes’ fine.....We got the car keys and will being them back later....no one was hurt, Kagome let out to much energy and took out the threat but ended up getting a sword through the shoulder.....love you too mate. See you at dinner.” Rin hung up the phone and turned to the gang behind her.
“Thunder and Lightning, lets clean up and head back to class, those who have our leader’s classes need to talk and get their homework. All weapons go back in the trunks and those who are hurt, some of us will be at Kagome’s car with bandages if you need it. Dismissed.” The gang broke apart and headed to the parking lot.
Inu Yasha and Koga crashed through the front door. It wasn’t broke luckily. They ran upstairs and into their bedroom. Setting Kagome down, Inu Yasha pulled his shirt off. Kagome pulled off her bra and pushed off her skirt and under-ware. She crawled onto the bed and watched as her mates stripped down. They growled low and crawled up the bed to tower above her. Kagome whimpered and pushed her hair back baring her neck to both demons. They pressed against her body and licked at their marks. Kagome’s body arched off the bed and two hands pushed her down.
Her body was on fire, she needed them in her. Now.
Inu Yasha placed a clawed hand at her entrance and worked two fingers in and out. Koga added two of his own and Kagome screamed wanting more. She came to her climax but neither demon stopped there ministrations. She came again and threw her head back clawing at the bed sheets. A whimper left her lips and she wiggled. Koga and Inu Yasha looked at each other and nodded. Kagome found herself being lifted and Inu Yasha wiggling under her. She felt his member against her entrance. Koga draped himself over her and worked with Inu Yasha to enter her tight opening at the same time. Kagome screamed and moved to fit the two of them. They pounded into her moving in perfect rhythm. She came twice before they did.
Kagome watched as Koga’s demon receded and he puled out of her with a groan. Inu Yasha did the same and they covered her with kisses.
Kagome’s sight was black at the edges and it kept growing. She passed out, her body pounding and tired.
At dinner, Kagome was absent. Inu Yasha and Koga reassured everyone she was fine but tired.
The next day at school Kagome was tired. She fell asleep in first hour and was excused from P.E. At lunch she slept more out on the bleachers, her head in Koga’s lap. Inu Yasha sat facing her one step down. He brushed the side of her face gently.
The gang had come out fine but also worried about Kagome.
It took three days to get back her energy but Kagome managed. The weekend was approaching and she smiled at the thought of a weekend with her son.
At the end of the day Inu Yasha and Koga walked with her to the gym to talk with the teacher about next week’s lessons.
They left an hour later going home at a slow pace. Kagome rode with Inu Yasha today. She didn’t feel like driving and was still to tired at times. Times were getting complex.
