InuYasha Fan Fiction ❯ No Face, No Name, No Number ❯ Part IV (The Explinations!) ( Chapter 4 )
These are a few things that I wanted to clear up, just in case you didn’t catch them or were a bit confused. No Face, No Name, No Number Part IV
- NOT IN CRONOLOGICAL ORDER; this story was told “Tarantino-ed” the ending was ort of ruined in the beginning for a dramatic effect. Hey isn’t that what they call “Dramatic Irony” or something…?
-Yes, Miroku is like nine years older than Sango when he married her. Miroku was twenty-seven while Sango was eighteen.
-Their marriage is NORMAL for the times. I would consider the fact that their marriage is quite normal considering this is near Sengoku Jedai.
-Already betrothed in Miroku’s first scene. I don’t know if I did a good job in hinting at this. Remember when he touches her shoulder and she blushes? I think I was trying to hint around the fact that there was obvious attraction even when she is just reaching puberty/adolescence.
-Remember throughout the story Kagome is blind.
-Any reference to sight is just a play on her blindness
-This story is told in a third-person Omniscient point of view. This means that the author knows everything that is going on, even if the characters don’t. I think it would have been extremely limited if I just told it from Kagome’s point of view.
-A Few Important Translations:
Goshinboku: This is the God Tree. The papers around it in the series indicates its age and wisdom. They also may signify the kami.
-chan: This is a suffix used with school girls usually. I figure that Kagome and Sango have known each other so long that they feel comfortable enough with each other to use this.
Houshi: The term used for a holy man. I think it’s literal translation is monk.
Jidaiji: Magical time tree (Kikyou calls Goshinboku this in the first movie)
Taijiya: Exterminator
Youkai: Demon, Phantom
Baa-chan: An almost cute term that means like “Grammey”
Miko: A term for a virginal priestess
Hakama: Traditional male split skirt in a kimono
Hanyou: half-youkai
Haori: traditional coat
Nisou: Head priestess. I’m not sure she would be considered a virginal figure like a miko would.
Shikon No Tama: Jewel of Four Souls
Mukadejoro: Mistress Centipede. This is the thing that drage Kagome down the well in the series.
Sankon Tetsusou: Soul-Reaving claws (or something like that, Lol)
Hijin Ketsusou: Blades of Blood
Kamigami: the Gods
