When Hojo finished with all he wanted from Kagome he pulled up his pants and left her shivering, mostly nude.
“Now Kagome, I don't want you ruining my good reputation with slanderous accusations about what happened here, I was merely getting what I deserved and so were you. We deserve each other Kagome we're both not as nice as we let on.” He picked up his bag and stood in the doorway for a moment. “Don't even think of telling anyone Kagome, things could turn out even worse for you and don't think anyone would believe you anyway. I've got too many people convinced of my n-n-n-nice g-g-guy pretense.”
He slammed the door and was gone. Kagome slipped to the floor and began to cry, both for the pain and humiliation and the thought that she had once trusted him so much. She lay on the floor with her bedspread over her still naked and shivering body, letting her numerous tears seep into the carpet. She finally got up and slowly removed the duct tape from her face tediously. She let out a small gasp at the pain and then angrily threw the tape out the window.
Not knowing what else to do she took a shower. She was still shivering even with the quite warm water hitting her skin. She scrubbed Hojos fingerprints from her body with a sponge and then began to cleanse the area that Hojo had been most unforgiving to. She was very careful as she was sore and knew she would remain so for a quite some time longer. She had heard stories from the experienced girls in the locker room about their “first time” and how much it had hurt, and theirs had been willing, from what Kagome had heard, very willing. She hopped out of the shower, still shivering slightly, and got dressed in regular clothes.
Kagome then began to scrub her sheets and blankets in an attempt to get the bloodstains out. When she had succeeded enough to her liking she stopped and stared out her window at the sacred tree.
She had made up her mind. She got out a piece of paper and began to write a note, the tears kept rolling off her nose onto the paper no matter how much she tried to quench them. When she finished she folded it over once and left it under her pillow of her freshly made bed, she closed the door and once more glanced at her school uniform creased neatly at the foot of her bed and the memories of her now lost childhood.
She quietly walked down the stairs, past her grandfather and brother who were looking for something in the kitchen, they didn't even notice her as they were too busy arguing. She knew her mother would be home soon but her family wouldn't notice her absence for a while. Unless they got the note soon, they wouldn't know that she wasn't coming back.
When she reached the well she gazed down and took a deep breath to stifle her still quivering muscles. She took only a second more to silently say good-bye to her time and then she plunged. She felt the cool, tingling sensation of going down the well and being transported to a different time and then she was crawling out of the well.
“Gah!” exclaimed the surprised InuYasha as he was about to go face first into the well. “Kagome! What took you so long, I was just about to go after you, do you have any idea how long you've been gone? I was starting to get worried! I don't think you've ever been gone that long and I was starting to sense something was wrong, it seemed like you were gone for-” He stopped because of the look on Kagomes face, like she was about to cry for two different reasons. She didn't say anything but she ran into his arms and began to silently sob. InuYasha was dumb struck but held Kagome close and stroked her hair. Then he quietly asked her, “Kagome what's wrong?”……
