LOL!!!! OMG!!!! I was looking on DeviantART at pictures and one inuyasha fan wrote this (he was running a contest of some sort):

"Remember, the Inuyasha Cliche Contest ends on Tuesday, 12AM, 9 June, 2009.Things I have learnt from the Inuyasha fandom
92. All OCs have a tragic history, including but not limited: murdered parents, murdered siblings, sick or dying parents, bullied by everyone, has her whole village killed by Naraku, been raped, she is also a lowly hanyou, and yet, she still can keep her hair and skin in perfect condition."

I was laughing my butt off reading all the ones in the list, there were 117 in total I believe. Here is the link if you want to read it yourself. http://ayamegusa.deviantart.com/journal/25137580/

So consider this story 'Topic #92' lol.

But I must say my favourite is #90. "Kagome finds out that she is not a reincarnation of Kikyou, but something much more powerful. What can I say? She’s bigger than Jesus."
and
# 187. Does anyone know what a dictionary is?# 188. Learn to spell, it’s not that hard.

I nearly fell out of my computer chair reading them all, so you should definately read them too.

And I thought I'd mention in reference to the spelling thing, it is spelled Kirara not Kilala, there is no "L" in the japanese language they just roll the "R" differently in certain words (I forget the rule for it but I'm too lazy to look in my lesson book).
lol, listened to "all to myself" by Marianas Trench over and over while writing this. AWESOME SONG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I could live without the few "F" words in it though, if you're a fan of them please let me know if you find a clean version of the song.

And on with the show!

The final chapter!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Dun Dun Dun!!!!!!!!
lol
>>>>>>>>>>>>> ;>>>>>
She was unsure how long she had been sitting there, looking out the window with tears slowly making their way down her face, contemplating how horrible her life was going to become in a few weeks time. It made her nautious to think about it but it was all her mind seemed to want to bring up no matter how hard she tried to think of other things.

"Your father has been searching for you."

Hikari nearly jumped right of the seat in her surprise, her heart pounding furiously.

"This Sesshoumaru did not mean to startle you."

She scowled and resumed staring out the window, rubbing the tears from her face even though she knew he had already seen and smelt them. "What do you want? I want to be left alone right now."

Ignoring her obvious desire for him to leave he approached her till he was only an arms-length from her. "You father has been searching for you." He repeated.

"I don't care, go away." Hikari's furry ears barely caught the low growl that came from him. What? Don't like having a little playtoy hanyou disobey? Screw you. Another louder growl from him let her know she had accidentally said her thoughts out loud.

"This Sesshoumaru merely thought you would wish to be informed." He ground out, still standing there, staring at her.

"Well I didn't so go away." She huffed.

He raised an eyebrow at her, "this is this Sesshoumaru's private music room, if you prefer not to be in my presence then leave and return to your father."

She turned fully and stood to properly glare at him and not have to strain her nack back so far, "Screw you!! I just want a little peace! Why can't you all just leave me alone?!"

His back visibly stiffened and Hikari couldn't help but feel a little satisfaction at the fact that her behavior was displeasing him, she couldn't help but hope that if she pissed him off enough he'd kill her and she'd be free.

"There is no need for you to raise you voice. This Sesshoumaru is not the cause of your troubles." He responded in his cold monotone that she often heard him use with her father, since he was a constant irritant.

"The hell you are!!!!" She slapped him, concious of doing so unlike months before, trying to evoke his temper. "If it weren't for you rejecting me I wouldn't be up here crying! I wouldn't have to spend my nights having my skin shredded by that horrid sadistic youkai every time in bed! I wouldn't have to go live with him in the mountains and be shared with his disgusting friends! It's all your fault! If my brother hadn't been spending so much time here with you then he wouldn't have died!!! But he did and he's not here to protect me from everything and everything is your fault!!" She ended in panting sobs, collapsed on the floor at his feet.

"This Sesshoumaru hardly see's how he is the cause of your brother's death."

~~~~~~~~~~~~
He hadn't been spending much time at home as of late, father had told her that he was spending a lot of time on main border patrols with prince Sesshoumaru. Her father had also said something about friends in high places but she hadn't been listening, all Hikari had heard was her brother wasn't going to be spending time with her.
"When will brother come home?" She asked for the eightieth morning in a row.
Her father let out an audible growl and put down his papers, "whenever he is finished the border patrol with prince Sesshoumaru," he picked up his papers and signed something on one, "and if you ask me one more time I will restrict you to your rooms."
She pursed her lips and felt tears prickling the corners of her eyes. It wasn't the first time he'd used such a harsh tone or growled at her, or even threaten to essentially ground her, but he had never used all three at once. His mood had been getting worse and worse lately, and it only increased the longer her big brother was away. She had noticed that it was the same with other youkai in the village, market, and even a few of the gaurds and servants. whenever brother was away their attitude towards he became colder, and he was away a lot more often than before.
She finished her morning meal as quickly as she could without being unladylike, for fear of being scolded by her father who was constantly telling her to grow up and act more like a lady instead of a pup. Hikari walked briskly to her bedchamber and crawled under her bed, intending to make a new entry that included her realisation of her brothers' affect on people when he was away and nearby.
Two strong hands gripped the ankles that were sticking out from under her raised bed just barely and dragged her out, she shrieked in surprise and slight fear that it was father and he had now discovered her secret little journal collection of private thoughts.
Laughing pale blue-white eyes and a huge fanged grin met her when her head cleared the bed.
"Brother that is not funny!" She slapped his shoulder, he flinched slightly but she didn't notice. "Brother you're home!!" Hikari exclaimed wide-eyed and pounced on him.
He eased her off and onto the floor next to him, "sis you are getting too big for you to be jumping on me like that." His voice had a slight wheeze to it but she figured it was from her winding him, something she did often.
"Sorry," she murmured, her eyes downcast, but not for long before hurt replaced her expression as he returned her gaze to him. "Why were you gone for so long? Father's been in such a bad mood since you left. Don't you want to spend time with me anymore?"
"Oh Kari," he pulled her into his lap, cringing as her elbow jabbed his ribs accidentally, and nuzzled her, "of course I want to spend time with you, you are my baby sister, there is noone I would rather be with. But prince Sesshoumaru has started doing patrols by himself, him and his father, our Lord Inu No Taisho, asked me if I would go with him since I already have quite a bit of experience patrolling father's." He gave her a gentle squeeze and another nuzzle, "It won't be like this forever. Just for a decade or so until he feels more confident on doing patrols by himself"
She sighed, "alright, I guess that's not a very long time."
He smiled, "exactly, and I'll be at home between patrols, even though I was invited to go live at the palace so he and I could spend time training together." When he saw her worried look he ran his claws through her long hair, "don't worry, I declined the offer, I'd much rather be here with my favourite baby sister."
She grinned, "I'm your only baby sister."
He laughed and nodded, "my only, favourite baby sister." He stood, bringing her with him and sitting down on the bed, "so to make up for being absent for so long, what would you like to do? See Temero?"
"No I saw him yesterday, Genjii took me to see him like you asked him to, he's been really nice, sparring with me too." She paused to think for a moment, "let's go visit mothers' grave!"
He gave her a quick squeeze and nudged her off his lap, "alright, do you want to pack a lunch?"
"Does father know you're home?"
"No, I wanted to see you first."
She grabbed his hand and started pulling him to the balcony, "than let's just go before he finds out and drags you off to talk to you. I want to spend time with my brother first."
He chuckled and shook his head, his short-cut silver hair swaying with the movement, "I'm coming! I'm coming! No need to drag me little Kari."
*******
It didn't take them long to get there and immediately Hikari set to pick as many flowers as she could hold in her delicate hands to place on her mother's grave. So while she scampered about in the long grass her brother made himself comfortable on the riverbank.
"Don't wander too far Kari!" He shouted after her when her form disappeared from sight. He shook his head and sighed, "silly girl is going to get herself killed someday."
Hikari had actually slid down a slope to a tree-encased bank along the river, abandoning her flowers next to her slippers and outer kimono as she took a swim. She heard her brother call after her but she continued to drift in the water, as if he would ever let anything happen to her.
"Well what do we have here! It's the only son of the residing lord, and where is the little half-breed that's always with you?"
Hikari froze in the water, holding her breath. It wasn't the first time youkai had come by this place while they were there. All she had to do was stay very quiet and find a place to hide while her big brother got rid of them. So while her brother tried to reason with them she looked around for a place to hide.
"I really think you youkai should just continue on your way, I don't think you want to die today."
She heard laughter, that was never good, laughter from the stranger meant a battle would ensue soon.
"How about this, you give us the little half-breed to play with, and we'll let you and her live, hmm? Sounds good to me, what do you guys think?"
She could hear more laughter, Hikari spotted a group of tall reeds and what looked like some overhanging roots. She very slowly waded toward it and ducked under, the water coming up to just under her nose. Focusing on breathing slowly, the ripples hidden and distorted by the reeds to look like merely the wind moving them.
She could hear her brother drawing his sword.
"Well I can see there's no point in talking."
She focused on meditating while the sounds of a small battle went on in the smal meadow above her. Hikari began to wnder how many youkai had come by this time as the fiht seemed to last for double the usual time it took for her brother to dispatch the others.
She started wondering if she should make a break for home and ge help when silence made it to her tense ears.
"Brother?" she whispered hesitantly.
"Kari it's safe to come out now, we need to go home."
She rushed out for the water and pulled on her kimono, not caring if the water on her underclothes damaged it. If brother said it was time to go then it was time to go. She slid on her slippers, picked up her flowers and jumped up the slope.
"Brother you're bleeding!"
He chuckled and coughed, "I didn't notice. Go put your flowers on her grave and let's go."
Hikari did as she was bid and went to his side, offering a shoulder for him to lean on which he took grateully.
*********
By the time they got home it was past dinner time and apparently they had been searching the whole manor for her. The gaurds a the wall immediately took her brother off her hands and carried him to his rooms, Hikari follwing on their heels.
The healer was sent for and when he arrived she was immediately shoed from the room.
A few hours later he died from excessive bleeding. The wounds from the fight would not have killed him if he had not already been severly wounded from a fight with some rogue youkai on the last few days of patrol with Prince Sesshoumaru. But the fact that it was not her fault at all did not stop her father and pretty much everyone else in the castle of telling her she was the cause.
~~~~~~~~~

"If he hadn't been on patrol with you he wouldn't have died," she whispered sadly and sniffled.

A extremely decorated piece of cloth resembling a tenugui (essentailly a handkerchief) appeared in front of her. She looked up at him questioningly.

"This Sesshoumaru has found it necessary to carry one around when caring for a child prone to dirty hands and a runny nose."

She murmured a soft 'oh' and accepted the offered cloth to wipe her eyes and nose. When she had sufficiantly dried her face he offered her his hand, which she pushed away, as she pulled herself back up onto the window seat.

He sat down next to her, "This Sesshoumaru is sorry that his wounds from patrolling with me were the cause of his death."

Hikari snorted, "yea sure, you probably don't even remember him."

"Hn."

She gave one last sniffle only to be overcome by hiccups, "oh gr..great, now I have the hic hiccups." Se glared at him, "which is all your fault for making me angry and making me cry."

He gave her a raised eyebrow. "This Sesshoumaru did no such thing. Although there is some responsibility on my part for your brothers' injuries, the rest of your sufferreing was your own fault."

Hikari jumped up and stood to properly glare at him, "and how is that my fault! You rejected me..."

"You assumed a rejection." He interrupted.

"Wh... what?"

"This Sesshoumaru had only managed to say "You are only a hanyou... but if you were," and then you struck my person, assuming a rejecting forthcoming."

Hikari blinked and opened and closed her mouth a few times. ".....what were you going to say then?"

He gave her a raised eyebrow, "hn... you are only a hanyou, but if you were," he paused for a moment, "do you intend to slap me?"

She deadpanned, "no."

He gave her a half-nod and continued, "if you were to allow a temporary nigousan to provide me with a fullblooded heir, this Sesshoumaru would like you to be my mate."

"I... you... you were going to ask that? Just that? No degrading insults or anything?" She recieved a rather annoyed look from him, "I... I'm sorry I hit you. I was just so used to rejection, and they always were used with those starting words 'you are only a hanyou' that I thought..."

"Your misinterpretation is understandable."

She gave him a small smile at his version of a 'you're forgiven' and sat back down next to him. They sat in silence for a few minutes before she shyly and hesitently asked, "does the offer still stand?"

He gave a curt nod.

Hikari couldn't resist giving him a large hug around the waist like she would her brother, "yes!! yes! yes! yes! Of course I'll be your mate!" She jumped slightly when he put one arm around her and returned the hug.

"That's so disgustingly sweet that I think I'm going to be sick."

"Inuyasha shush and let them have their moment."

Realising who she was hugging and had just hugged her back Hikari practically leapt away from his person and blushed as she looked up at Kagome and Inuyasha who were standing in the open doorway.

"Oi Fluffy, your people are looking for you, saying its almost time for your announcement. Just thought I'd let you know." Inuyasha grabbed Kagome's arm and gently tugged her away from the room.

Hikari smiled, "I guess this is going to confuse father, and there is going to be one very dissapointed youkai as well."

"Surely the offer to purify him still stands with the miko."

She laughed and accepted his hand as he stood and helped her up as well. They made their way out of the room to head to the hall where everyone was waiting.

"You don't need a nigousan," she said as they were descending the stairs.

"Oh?" He actually stopped on the last step to look at her.

Hikari gave a soft smile, "the rumors were true, I had a potential mate and a child. She died when she was born, strangled by her own cord, and he was so grieved by it he killed himself. His father found his body a few days later."

Sesshoumaru resumed walking beside her, "and the child was?"

Hikari wiped away a tear, "she was a full youkai. I told Kagome about it all the other day. Her theory is that, depending on the sire, the child can be a youkai, hanyou, or human. Temero, my daughters father, was a youkai, so our child would have either been a hanyou of youkai depending on the half of me put into the child."

She walked next to him quietly for a few moment and let him roll that around in his head. When he didn't speak for a while she smiled and slipped her hand into his, "I can give you a full youkai heir my Lord."

He stopped walking and turned to face her. A small twitch of the corners of his lips let her know he almost smiled before he leaned down, cupping her face, and laid a gentle kiss on her lips. Pulling back so he was only a few centimetres away. "That information would have been appreciated sooner. You would not have been allowed to leave if you had told this Sesshoumaru."

Hikari smiled and gave his lips a quick peck before answering, "I did not want some youka to expect me to pop out pups as well."

"Hn," he pulled awy and placed her hand in the crook of his arm, "shall we?"

She nodded and let him lead her to the hall to announce his choice in a mate.

*********

The ceremony was done that same evening and Hikari was announced as the new Lady of the Western lands. The youkai her father had originally intended her for was not purified by Kagome, but he and his friends were removed from their stations and banished from the Western lands upon pain of death if they returned.

Sesshoumaru and Hikari lived happily ever after.

Well... Hikari did, Sesshoumaru had to suffer fathering over a span of one-hundred-fifty years seven daughters, four hanyou and three youkai, before he finally got a full youkai son and heir. And even then he always had to deal with his mates' childishness and hyperactive attitude.

So really Hikari lived happily ever after, Sesshoumaru's happiness is a matter of opinion. Kagome, a hopeless ramantic at heart believed he was happy but Inuyasha adamantly argued that he was not as he was also the father of four more daughters before he finally got a son.

Ja ne.

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
*sob sob* it's all done. The story is finished. I'm so happy ^_^ that there was a happy ending (I was contemplating a "she died" scenario but I decided against it). Thankyou to sessyalltheway for editing for me.

Now how many people thought waaaaaay back in chapter 7 that that *points up at the page* was really what Sesshoumaru was going to say? Be honest people.

ROGER FEDERER WON!!!!!!!!!!!! WOOT!!!!! (for all of you who don't know who he is, look up the '09 wimbledon lol)
