Kagome sat by the Goshinbuku, staring off into the pouring rain.
Behind a nearby bush, Miroku, Sango and Shippoe sat watching her.
“She’s been sitting there for hours on end sobbing about something. She won’t tell me”
Sango stated shaking her head worriedly.
“Sango, my dear, it’s probably something InuYasha did, as usual, yet I fear this time it was worse then before.”
Shippoe didn’t sit around this time; he ran over to the shaking girl and hugged her tightly.

“Kagome...are you ok?” he asked. She didn’t answer; she didn’t even look up at him.
He waited another second
“Kagome, you’re scaring me, please are you ok?” he screamed
She calmed a moment and then looked up at him.
Her nose and under her eyes was red from the constant crying.
Her eyes no longer held the hopeful and cheery look; they now look broken and defeated.
“Shippoe...” she sighed he looked at her before locking her in a hug.
Shippoe might not have been as old as the others but he was old enough to know when someone was hurting and felt defeated.
“Kagome, was it....InuYasha?”
She nodded as her sobs raged; her breath became heavy and rugged.
Shippoe looked at Sango and Miroku and motioned for tem to come.
“Shippoe if you don’t mind I want to go for a walk....alone please” he didn’t like her alone when she was in this state but he respected her wishes.

Kagome was nearing the well, when as usual Kouga shows up.
“Kagome, how’s my woman today...Kagome?” he grasped her shoulders and cupped her chin forcing her to look at him.
Tears still poured down her pale and rosy cheeks.
“Kagome, please tell me what he did this time, I don’t like seeing you in this pain. I want to kill that damn mutt, but I won’t leave you alone, not like this...come with me, back to my den, Ginta and Hakkaku will watch over you as I kill InuYasha”
She stayed silent. Kouga became extremely worried.
“Kagome...”
Silence was still heard.
“Kagome” he said more forcefully, trying to get her attention.
There was another moment of silence before she finally looked up at him and spoke.
“Kouga...”
He smiled, finally she was responding.
“Yes, what is it Kagome?” he looked hopefully.
“I want to die.” She said so unexpectedly.
Unknown to them, InuYasha was sitting behind a nearby tree, listening to every word they said.
‘She wants to die....my Kagome wants to die....because of me’ he thought
Kouga was silent and then it registered what she said.
She had been trying to pull away from him but he wouldn’t allow her.
“No” he said simply.
“What?”
“You aren’t going to die. I will not let you, you’re stronger then this, you can’t give up.....you still have me Kagome. Why can’t you see that I’m willing to do anything and everything for you? I love you Kagome.”
This time it was her turn to say no.
“No” she replied
“No...No what?”
“No...To this ...to everything.... I can’t do this anymore.... I can’t keep doing this” she motioned to the well and continued “.....coming here.....getting hurt....and always going to bed and wishing I was dead the next morning but it never worked.....Kouga I’m sick of this....of everything .... I want to die” she said strongly.
He looked at her mournfully and did something he wished he had done the first time he met her.
He kissed her, passionately but gently.
She froze for a moment the pulled away, blushing.
InuYasha clenched his fists tightly; blood trickled down his hand as he watched Kouga kiss her.
“Kouga...” she whispered
“Kagome, I love you. Why won’t you give me a chance?”
“Kouga, please don’t take this as rejection.... I don’t love you the way you love me. You’re my best friend and nothing more. Please understand” she said gently, careful of his feelings.
‘At least she doesn’t love him’ he thought carefully.
“I understand Kagome, but...” he stopped silently and cupped her shin again pulling her close to him.
He motioned asking her for one last kiss. She agreed.
She came closer to him, pressing her chest to his. InuYasha growled in the back ground, basically telling Kouga he was there and had been there. That made Kouga all the happier.
He gently pressed his lips to hers big careful not to hurt her with his fangs.
InuYasha’s blood boiled as he watched them.
Kagome kissed him fiercely; knowing if her plans went through, it would be her last.
It was her first, both the men knew this, and it was her last, only her and Kouga knew.
Kagome pulled away first, blushing even more so then the first time.
She hugged him then began her departure down the mysterious well that connected the two worlds.
InuYasha finally decided to make show himself.
“Kouga” he growled mercilessly.
“Inu-kurro....seems you’re too late. And now because of you she’s going to kill herself.”
“Why didn’t you stop her?!” he yelled
“It wasn’t my place” he said simply.
“WHAT DO YOU MEAN IT WASN’T YOUR PLACE!!!!??? YOU COME AROUND HERE ALL THE TIME AND SAY SHE’S YOUR WOMAN.....IF SHE’S YOURS THEN DAMNIT IT IS YOUR PLACE!!!! HOW COULD YOU JUST LET HER GO WHAT DO YOU NOT...”
“Shut up inu-baka.” He stated coldly. “What, do you think I didn’t love her? Is that why you think I let her go? No I let her go because I love her and if you’re so worried, why did you do what you did in the first place? Seems to me like it’s more your fault then anyone’s and if she dies it’ll be on your head. ‘Cuz I’ll kill you personally” usually Kouga’s threats where useless but this time, it was in his eyes that he would see it through.

Kagome re-appeared on the other side of the well to her time.
She ran upstairs and wasted no time in getting a gun from her mother’s drawer.
She loaded and cocked it. She placed it to her head as tears threatened to fall.
“KAGOME DON’T” it was a simple command, one that made her shift uneasy and turn to face her intruder.
“InuYasha” she breathed
“Put the gun down” he said sharply.
“Why the fuck would you care?”
“Because....because....I love you”
“Bull shit, you pull this every time when you fuck up and you think this time I'm gunna come running back to you? FUCK NO!!!” she screamed but she wasn’t done there.
“InuYasha I loved you I really really did but you have broken what little bit of a heart I have left. No more InuYasha NO FUCKING MORE!!!!”
“Kagome please let me...”
“Let you explain....no”
“InuYasha I'm sick of it, go home, and don’t come back ever”
“No, I won’t leave you like this “
Kagome put the gun to her head.
“NO KAGOME DON’T” he screamed
“Too late, you already killed me InuYasha; I’m just ending my physical pain”
She pulled the trigger right in front of him.
She fell and he caught her. Her blood poured on him.
“I’m coming with you” he said.
‘She’ll never know that I was getting rid of Kikyo and that I loved her’ he wrote down before following her in a tragic fate.
