I couldn't tell you why she felt that way, She felt it everyday. And I couldn't help her, I just watched her make the same mistakes again.
"Inuyasha, nothing is alright..." she whispers, tears stinging her eyes, lost-longing pricking at her heart. There he was, standing in a clearing, reaching out for the the clay bitch. 'Nothing is alright...' she thinks, turning around and walking away solemnly.
"Kagome!" she could hear his pained cries echo throughout the forest. She didn't care. He wanted the dead bitch; it was obvious. She didn't care about him. She didn't care about the clay pot. She didn't care about her friends. She just didn't care.
"STOP FUCKING FOLLOWING ME!" she screams, sending chills down his spine and putting fear in his heart. The clay bitch attacked, a sharp pain ripping through her shoulder. She continued walking. The Bone-Eaters Well was there; her only reason to stay was gone. She watched him come into the clearing, wanting, needing to apologize. She wouldn't take anything from him. Absolutely nothing. He watched, in stunned awe as she fell into the well.
"KAGOME!!!" she heard him scream, as the lights of time enveloped her body...
What's wrong, what's wrong now?Too many, too many problems.Don't know where she belongs, where she belongs. She wants to go home, but nobody's home. It's where she lies, broken inside. With no place to go, no place to go to dry her eyes.Broken inside.
"Inuyasha..." she wept. Tears spilled down her face in buckets. "Inuyasha..." she chanted, her breath coming in as short gasps. She stood up and climbed up the ladder. Midnight, the time when the wind sings and insects are the chorus. But there was no beauty in this night. Her sorrow came off her body in waves, ceasing all sound around. She walked towards the house; nobody was home. Nobody to help her, nobody to help dry her eyes, nobody to help mend her broken spirit.
"Inuyasha..." she continued chanting, blood dripping onto the pavement. The purified arrow stuck out of her shoulder; she didn't care. She just didn't care. She slowly walked inside, a bloody trail marking her moves. She stumbled into the kitchen, stopping to pull out the purification arrow. It clattered to the floor, the last signs of miko energy dissipating. She stopped and picked up a note.
"Nobody's home." she mumbled, knowing that her family was no more. She stumbled up the stairs, clutching her shoulder. She opened the shoji door to her mothers room, seeing the bloody body of her mother staring at her, eyes wide and mouth open, silencing a scream that would rip through the night air. She stumbled over to her brothers room, throwing open the shoji door. Her brother was nowhere. A small thumping could be heard from her brothers closet. She opened the door. The body of her brother came crashing down, no head attached. She turned around and saw the head of her brother staring back at her with wide eyes on his bed. She walked out, across the hall, and into her grandfather's bedroom. His head wasn't attached, his heart was sitting next to the bed. His throat was halfway across the room. Blood was splashed on every wall. The same symbol had been made in each room: the symbol of Naraku. She didn't care. She just didn't care.
Open your eyes and look outside, find a reasons why. You've been rejected, and now you can't find what you left behind.Be strong, be strong now.Too many, too many problems.Don't know where she belongs, where she belongs. She wants to go home, but nobody's home. It's where she lies, broken inside. With no place to go, no place to go to dry her eyes.Broken inside.
She walked into her own room, and looked out the window. She looked away when she saw the well house. No, nobody was home. Nobody would ever be. It was a house of the dead. But she didn't care. The small scent of smoke greeted her nose, and she knew.
"Inuyasha..." she chanted. She lay down on the bed, flames engulfing the house. She knew that she would never make it out. She smiled. 'Be happy Inuyasha... I'm finally dying. Say a prayer for me, k?' she asked in her mind.
Her feelings she hides. Her dreams she can't find. She's losing her mind. She's fallen behind. She can't find her place. She's losing her faith. She's fallen from grace. She's all over the place.Yeah,oh
He didn't know what to do. She meant more to him than the clay bitch would ever. Kikyo had wanted him to change so that she could be with him. Kagome... Kagome loved him as a half demon... He faced the Bone-Eater's Well. Nothing would stop him...
He jumped down the well, only to be greeted by screeching sirens and the smell of smoke.
She wants to go home, but nobody's home. It's where she lies, broken inside. With no place to go, no place to go to dry her eyes.Broken inside.
She lay there on her bed. Tears stained her eyes, but she couldn't cry anymore of she wanted to. She could hear the collapse of the walls; the screech of the sirens; the horrible wailing of her families eternally tortured souls. She heard the hiss, then pop as her shoji door caught on fire.
"Aishiteru, my Inuyasha...." she whispered, closing her eyes and letting her body become engulfed in the flames.
Dawn peaked over the horizon. Inuyasha looked at the smoldering remains of Kagome's home. Something caught his eye; it sparkled as if calling for him. He walked over and picked it up. A small locket on a delicate chain. A sudden smell reached his nose, and his eyes widened.
"Kagome..." he said. A soft breeze blew as if comforting him. He nodded as he walked back to the well, looking back.
"Aishteru, my Kagome." he responded, jumping down the well, never to return.
She's lost inside, lost inside...oh oh yeahShe's lost inside, lost inside...oh oh yeah
