Chapter 2

Disclaimer: I do not own Inuyasha or any of the characters. This is the rewritten version of the story, Punks Are Better Than Preps, with more details, and an actual plot.

Therefore, everyone had wound up at Inuyasha’s house. After much debating, no one could think of anything to do. All of the movies they had all seen at least three times now, except for Miroku that is. They didn’t really feel like swimming, or playing pool, or anything for that matter. That was when someone voiced the perfect suggestion.

“Why don’t we go to the mall then?”

Everyone turned their heads to look at Miroku.

“What? I thought I should ask…I mean, we don‘t want to do anything around here…And it would be quite boring if we sat around doing nothing…So what‘s the best way to spend time than spending money…and looking at girls.” He said, whilst saying the last part to himself hoping no one heard. The hanyou did and snorted quietly at that comment. He realized that their new friend was hopelessly lost.

“OH….” Both of the girls said at the same time, before squealing and causing the poor boys to shove their hands over their ears in order to preserve their eardrums.

“I love shopping!” Sango squealed happily.

“As do I, my dear friend! As do I!” Kagome just as happily commented back, “And thank you Miroku for coming up with such a wonderful idea!” She was going to hug him, but thought greatly against it. Right about now he was really regretting his suggestion. Sure he loved the mall, but for completely different reasons than the girls. He, like most people his age, loved Spencer’s Gifts. He just couldn’t get enough of it!

So it was agreed, to the mall they would go.

The first store they had chanced upon had been…Spencer’s.

The girls sweat dropped and found their way past all the nasty sex stuff and back to the awesome lights. They were trying to decide which lights would look best in their rooms. They didn’t really want to get something and then completely hate it, right?

Miroku on the other hand, was looking at all the sex stuff that the girls had so hastily passed up. He was quite enjoying everything he saw and his little perverted mind was going into over-drive. Inuyasha shook his head and sighed at the sight. He walked off to go find the girls so that they could help drag the pervert out of the particular store.

After much pulling and bribing, and of course paying for their lights, the trio had finally managed to drag the lecher out of the store.

They currently were going to go clothes shopping. The girls had said that since Miroku has to have his little time in heaven, that they should too, and Inuyasha had grumpily agreed with a simple ‘keh.’

Kagome was looking at the clearance rack at Hot Topic. She couldn’t find anything that she wanted. Everything was so… ‘So black! Sure there were a few other colors in there as well…but I want a more of a variety!’ she mentally complained to herself. She continued searching through the shirts. Sango happily appeared beside her and held up what she had found. She had found a black shirt that had a beautiful blue fairy on it. She also held up a blue pinstriped skirt to go with it and cute little blue slippers. Kagome squealed, told her how cute it was, and asked her to help her search for a new outfit as well. Sango only happily complied and their search began.

While the girls were busy looking for clothes, Inuyasha was looking at all of the patches. His favorite jacket was covered in patches, and looked awesome. He only had a small space left and he had to find the perfect one to put there. He frowned when he realized that he already had all of the ones in the case and went to find the others. He found Miroku at the checkout sweet-talking the cashier. She was blushing and looked a little angry. Inuyasha took it as his duty to drag the dirty pervert away, despite the many protests he received.

While dragging a very heavy and cursing person behind him, the hanyou made his way to where the girls were. He came just in time to find Kagome gushing over a cute outfit.

She was holding up a black tank top that had a pink kitty on it and a short pink skirt to match. She had even found arm warmers in the clearance section that matched perfectly with the top and skirt.

Inuyasha’s brain trailed off before he realized that the three, ‘How did Miroku get away from me?’ were standing outside of the entrance, waiting for him. He quickly ran out to follow with a scowl on his face and mentally chiding himself for letting his mind wander.

“Okay…So whose house are we staying at tonight?” Sango questioned while mindlessly flipping through the channels on the TV.

“We could just stay here.” Inuyasha suggested.

“That’s cool with me, as always.” Kagome giggled and she and Inuyasha looked at the other two, awaiting their answers.

“Well, I have to check in with my foster parents…But they’ll probably say yes.” Miroku stated and asked the location to the phone and had it pointed out to him.

“Of course. Just let me call Kohaku and have him stay at your house with Souta, Kagome, and it’s all good!” Sango said while pulling out her cell to do what she said that she would.

Sango and Kagome already had clothes and necessities of theirs over at Inuyasha’,s fore they all usually stayed at each other’s houses often. Miroku, on the other hand, had said that he needed to go home and grab some stuff.

“Where do you live?” Inuyasha questioned, “I can drive you, since I drove you here in the first place.”

“I’ll point it out to you…I don’t quite remember the address, but I do remember where it’s located!” He added the last part hastily when Inuyasha shot him a glare.

“Alright, it’s settled then!” Kagome clapped happily. “Sango and I will just lounge our lazy asses around here until you two boys get back!” She said whilst laughing and walking towards the kitchen.

Well I hope that didn’t completely suck. I’m I don’t know…Tired and just stupidly drank a caffeine soda. I’m running’ on lack of sleep here so bear with me and REVIEW! I want criticism! I would like to take this time to thank the lovely Marissa for editing this chapter for me.
