CHAPTER 8
“When are you going to tell her?”
Two figures in a public garage stood in the middle, speaking in hush tones, “I was planning on telling her tonight, do you think this will work though, love?” spoke the masculine voice.
A small feminine sigh came and only silence fallowed for a moment, “I am not sure…”
“If he feels that he is going to lose her, he might react in the action that we wish of him… and that would make her happy.”
“That is true…” the woman leaned more towards the man figure, poking him in the chest, “you better not do anything passed the grounds of a kiss on the cheek and holding hands, or else I'll get Sango and Miroku together with the same method as your own.”
A low and menacing growl was heard before the man grabbed the woman and kissed her hungrily leaning her backwards with the force of the kiss.
And on her left hand was a small glint that resembled a diamond ring…

“I still can not believe that they are not together anymore.” Sango Slayer's statement was followed by silence in the elevator, then a loud SMACK, “PERVERT!”
Holding his face in his hands he began to rub the hand printed area, “It was too quiet for my taste.”
Giving him a glare that could freeze hell it self, Sango began to speak, or in other words yell, “So you went ahead and grabbed my rear?!”
With his eyes closed, Miroku Monk answered in a sigh, “Well the other point of destination that I would have wanted to touch is too hard to attempt with out you noticing.”
Raising an eyebrow in question and placing both hands on her hips she leaned forward to understand, “What do you mean? What other part of my body would your lecherous mind wonder to if it isn't my…”
She trailed off when she noticed his eyes were peaking into her cleavage that was shown through her purple dress shirt.
Closing her eyes and taking a deep breath and silently counting to ten she reacted in a calm, mature, lady like way.
She beated the shit out of Miroku Monk until they reached their destination, Kagome's floor to her apartment.

Sitting in his office, Sesshomaru continued to dial numbers on his cell phone and yet all of them left him nothing but a request:
“Hi this is Kagome Higurashi! Please leave your name, number, and message and I might be able to get back to you.”
“Damn it!” slamming his phone on his desk in front of him Sesshomaru closed his eyes and scrunched up his face as he pinched the bridge of his nose with his forefinger and thumb to calm himself down.
It was half an hour after Inuyasha left Sesshomaru to his misery, office, and Jack Daniels so that he could act however he wished to act; and at the moment he wished to act desperate.
Standing, began to pace in a vertical line long his window as he thought of the situation and how the fix it.
Kagome wouldn't of decided to get married right after she told him that she didn't want them together anymore, would she? Was she actually seeing this Crispin behind his back and chose him because he gave her more affection? Wasn't he, Sesshomaru Taisho, good enough for her heart, or was he just the ice statue that everyone said he was.
He stopped in the middle of his pacing with a shocked look on his face when he realized a strange factor; he didn't care.
He didn't care that she was possibly seeing that Crispin behind his back, only if she came back to him in the end. Sesshomaru sat down in his chair slowly with the thought.
No matter if she went to dates with, held hands with, proclaimed love to, or even kissed Crispin, he would still try and get her back into his arms, why?
“Because I love her.”
The realization hit him like a fist, all that times she proclaimed her undying love to him and he only answered with silence, all the chances he had, was gone now and possibly forever.
Maybe it would be better if she was with Crispin McBain, at least he could show her love, spend time with her, and show her the only thing he wasn't able to show; love.
He could see it now, Kagome McBain, wife to influential business man, Crispin McBain, lead a happy and care free life full of roses and fairy tales. Pictures of his love and the bastard kissing came to his mind and it took more than sheer will to not go and search where the ass was and beat the living shit out of him.
Kagome would be a remarkable wife for a business man, she was beautiful, went to gala's without a fuss, knew how to act in public, and would be the perfect mother.
“Children.”
She would want children, possibly lots of children, would that mean she would sleep with Crispin to gain those children.
His face paled even more with the thought, the man in her bed, stroking her, she moaning and it was a very erotic thing to think about, but the one thing that kept him in check was this; he wasn't the man doing those things to her.
With a roar he picked up his glass of whiskey and threw it at the door, and it crashed with whiskey covering the ground and door.
Taking deep, calming breaths, he began to cool down from his anger and turned his sights onto his intercom and pressed the red button there, “Kagura.”
The smooth feminine voice came from the other end to answer, “Yes Mr. Taisho?”
“Cancel all of my appointments,” he paused as he looked at the picture of his love and him together, “I am going to be out for the rest of the day.”

“I brought the ring for you so that you can show you are engaged to all the men that will ask you for a date.”
Smiling, Kagome extended her hand so that Crispin could place it on, but withdrew it when she saw the ring.
“Crispin!” she grabbed the ring and looked at it closely, “You didn't have to get me something this… what's the correct term for it?… HUGE!”
Laughing, he took the ring from her gently and placed it on, “Well, it is beautiful isn't it?”
Beautiful was one of the words in her mind to describe it, but expensive was flashing in neon lights, the band was white gold and small diamonds placed in a wavy patern along the band with a diamond the diameter of a dime sitting in the middle, saying, “lose me and you will most definitely lose your hand with the amount I'm worth, baby!”
“It is.”
After a slight pause, Crispin began to speak, “I have to tell you something Kagome, and this IS important.”
Looking up, Kagome saw that Crispin had a look of great study on his face, “And what is this important thing that you have to tell me?”
Smiling again, he took her hand where the rock is and looked at it closely before returning his eyes to hers, “This is my REAL fiancée's ring so don't lose it.”
A slight pause went through the room before Kagome finally found her voice, “What?”
Chuckling he released her hand and explained, “You love this Sesshomaru don't you?”
Kagome nodded, a lost with words.
“Well you see,” coughing slightly to get his voice, “I figured a splendid way in getting Sesshomaru to admit he loves you.”
“By marrying me? Cris, you are a smart man but that is a very odd way to get him to tell me through me having an AFFAIR on you.”
He chuckled again at her sense of logic, “No, I merely want him jealous enough, and desperate enough to win you back at all cost.”
There was absolute silence, until a loud SLAP was heard out side, accompanied by a “PERVERT!” before the door opened to reveal Sango and an obviously beaten up Miroku at the door way.
Turning her head from the poor man, Sango looked at Kagome and was about to say `hello' before she saw the gigantic ring on her friend's finger.
“What in the world did WE miss?”
