InuYasha Fan Fiction ❯ Not So Cliché ❯ Big News & Surprises ( Chapter 1 )

[ Y - Young Adult: Not suitable for readers under 16 ]
Hey there! Looks like you decided to give my Fan Fiction a chance, eh? Well, I’m new at this so thanks for giving me a chance. Well, before I begin, I must stress the fact that there are no demons in this Fan Fiction. It is Alternate Universe, a high school story and I don’t get when people make them demons when it’s Alternate Universe. It make no sense to me, but anyway, everyone is as they are in the show; their appearances, their personalities and their relationships with each other, they just aren’t demons, mikos, monks or demon slayers… etc.

Oh and guys, I have a question for you. I’ve been thinking about a title. I have two ideas, actually. One is Not So Cliché, the one I have now or Not Another Cliché Story. What do you think? Lemme know, please!

Okay… I am now done, so enjoy!

Disclaimer: I do not own InuYasha or company. This is the fine work of Rumiko Takahashi. Anything of my own design will be specified.

Not So Cliché
Chapter One

It was late at night around 12ish on a Sunday night… err morning. Everyone else in the house was asleep yet he was still awake, sitting in front of his computer. The bright light strained his sapphire eyes. At the bottom of his computer screen, on his toolbar, he clicked the icon of a yellow, running man to open AOL Instant Messenger. Waiting for it to sign him in, he drummed his fingers on the spacebar. At last, he was signed in. Scanning through his buddy list, he looked for a certain screen name. He smiled when he spotted it. She was on. He clicked her screen name and sent her an instant message.

MK187: Hey there, Kagome.

Leaning his head on his hands, he waited for her to reply.

Kaggie15: Hey you. What’s going on?

Miroku and Kagome have been talking for the last two years. They met in some random chat room and have been talking ever since. They know pretty much everything about each other. Though, the two never met in person or saw what each other look like, they were very close and talked every night.

MK187: Nothing really.

MK187: So, how are you? How’s everything with your Mom?

Lately, Kagome’s been going through a lot. A couple of years ago, when Kagome was eleven, her dad died from Leukemia. They all thought he was going to be okay but suddenly, one night he got really sick. They rushed him to the hospital and he didn’t make it through the night. Kagome was upset but she was also a little relieved that he passed away peacefully and escaped from all of his suffering. Taking the liquid-chemo every week made him deadly ill and it wasn’t working for him. Kagome cried every time she saw her father. He was extremely sick. He could barely eat anything without vomiting moments later. His body began to reject everything he tried to eat. Even when he smelled any kind of food, his acids and stomach fluids were already on their way to his mouth from his esophagus. Her mom broke down. She was a wreck. Her younger brother, Souta was too young to actually understand about death but he was still effected when his father didn’t run into his bedroom to wake him up like he always did. He was only seven years old.

Now, they’re doing pretty okay. Her mother is smiling again and one reason for that is him. For the last three months, Kagome’s mother has been seeing this man named Raidon Yamada. He was a nice guy but Kagome didn’t like him because he was taking the place of her father. The main man in her life who she loved so much. After only three months of dating, her mother and Raidon were already talking about Raidon moving in. Souta loved Raidon because he was constantly surprising him with more and more gifts everyday; talk about buying a person’s love. Kagome didn’t like the idea of her mother dating another man after four years since her father died, but she had to get used to it because ever since her father died, Raidon was the best thing that ever happened to her.

Kaggie15: Things could be better, I guess. Raidon is already packing up his stuff to move in.

MK187: Already? I thought your Mom and Raidon have only been dating for three months.

Kaggie15: Yeah, they have.

MK187: That’s rough.

Kaggie15: Yeah, well I have some good news, too.

MK187: And that would be…?

Kaggie15: Well, you know how my grandfather lives in Tokyo, right?

MK187: Right.

Kaggie15: Well, he’s far too old to take care of himself and his nurse refuses to go to his home and take care of him because he thinks he’s a powerful priest and his duty is to destroy the demons that lurk through his home. So, I’m going to move in with him and take care of him.

MK187: No way!

Kaggie15: Way! I’ll be in Tokyo within two days.

MK187: Wow, that’s great. We can actually meet after two years of talking.

Kaggie15: Yeah, finally.

Kaggie15: But, it’s 12:30 now, and I am exhausted.

MK187: Okay, so am I and I have school tomorrow.

Kaggie15: Right, me too. I’ll talk to you later.

MK187: Okay, bye. Good night.

Kaggie15: Night.

Kaggie15 has signed off at 12:33am, Monday November 7, 2006.

Miroku smiled as he imagined meeting Kagome. Hell, it was about time. Yawning, he signed off of AOL Instant Messenger and headed to bed.

InuYasha Takahashi and Miroku Kimura rampaged through the hallway. Other students, dodged them. InuYasha pushed his way through. He didn’t care who it was and if they were in his way, they were going to hit the floor hard. As the angry teenager pushed a poor freshman to the ground, Miroku quickly helped him to his feet and apologized for his arrogant best friend. As many underclassman hit the ground, the pair made their way to the cafeteria.

InuYasha and Miroku owned Shikon High. They were the two most good-looking and popular guys in their school. Other guys envied them. Girls threw themselves at them, yet the two already had their main ladies. InuYasha was currently dating a girl named Kikyou Sanada. It was actually a very dull relationship. It was like Kikyou wore the pants in the relationship. She was a bossy girl, truly evil. InuYasha only liked her because she was hot and easy, seriously. For a while now, he was itching to break up with her. Miroku’s main lady was Sango Nakamura. They were a match made in heaven but Miroku always jinxed that because he could never keep his hands off the other girls, but Sango, of course, had a good right hook, if you know what I mean.

Though, there was one guy who didn’t envy them… Kouga Miyake. Kouga was the star-player on the basketball team. He was a very ignorant loser who didn’t know when to knock off his bullshit. He constantly started fights with InuYasha, and like everyday at the same time, he started his crap.

Kouga noticed the two walk into the cafeteria and immediately approached them. “Yo, InuYasha,” he called as he walked towards them. InuYasha sighed annoyingly, rolling his eyes. Does this guy ever give up? They now stood toe-to-toe, face-to-face.

“What do you want now, Kouga?” InuYasha asked, annoyingly. InuYasha was a couple inches taller so Kouga had to look up at InuYasha. Ignoring Kouga, he looked past him and looked through the sea of black and white uniforms to find the table where his other friend, Miroku’s girlfriend sat. Sango was a couple of tables away. She noticed him as well and waved him over. InuYasha nodded and averted back towards Kouga.

“Well, InuYasha, I’ve heard you’re been talking smack.” he answered smugly. “I’ve heard you were running your mouth about how you were going to fight me.” InuYasha dropped his head and sighed frustratingly, again. He clenched his fist and was about to punch the little sucker in the head. Miroku noticed this and stepped in.

“Listen, Kouga. If InuYasha were to say such foolish things, I am most positive that he would say it directly to your face. He wouldn’t waste his time threatening you to other people nor waste his breath even saying your sickening name. So, if you don’t mind, step aside and leave us alone with your nonsense, before InuYasha and I tag team and beat you to oblivion.” Pushing a speechless Kouga aside, the two walked past. InuYasha made sure he hit Kouga as he passed.

“Psh… whatever.” Kouga said sheepishly, jammed his hands in his pockets and casually walked around acting as though nothing happened.

InuYasha and Miroku walked over to Sango. Miroku sat next to her and lightly kissed her. “Hey guys,” Sango greeted them happily. She looked down at her Macaroni Surprise that was on her tray. “I suggest you skip out on lunch today. I think I see something moving somewhere in there.” She laughed. She began poking it with her fork and it started to bubble. Slowly, she pushed her tray far away from her. InuYasha didn‘t pay attention to a word she said, he was too busy looking through the crowds of people. Sango noticed this, “Looking for Kikyou?” she asked, breaking through his trance.

“Yeah, have you seen her?” he asked, turning to face her.

“Fortunately, no I haven’t.” she answered with a smug smirk on her face. InuYasha shot her a death glare. Sango and Kikyou didn’t exactly have a great bond; they hated each other. They’re always getting into a fights. It made it kind of hard for InuYasha and Sango to be friends since everywhere InuYasha was, Kikyou was.

“I haven’t seen her all day, and we were supposed to go out for lunch,“ InuYasha stated. It wasn’t like Kikyou to be absent. She was never absent, ever.
---

Three girls walked down the hallway like they owned it. One was short, with long silver hair and a pair of dark, emotionless eyes. Her name was Kanna Yamagata. Her older sister, a raven-haired girl with red eyes named Kagura, who was a lot taller than her walked next to her, and next to her was Kikyou. They were on their way to the cafeteria but were taking their sweet old time.

“Kikyou, I thought you were supposed to have lunch with InuYasha today,” Kanna stated in her quiet voice. It was like a whisper. Kikyou looked down at her and scoffed.

“We have lunch together every day,” she said, sourly. She tossed her long raven hair over her shoulder.

“I still don’t understand why you date him in the first place.” Kagura piped in. Kikyou shot a dirty look at her.

“You know exactly why I’m going out with him,” she hissed. “He’s filthy rich. He buys me everything I want and god, he’s great in bed. He’s pretty pathetic, though. He worships the ground I walk on.” Kagura and Kanna ‘oh-ed’ in unison.

“We didn’t need to hear about how good he is in bed, you know.” Kanna added in. Kikyou simply shrugged her shoulders and ignored them. Suikostu was walking down the same hallway. Kikyou smiled when she spotted him in front of them. “I’ll meet you guys at lunch,” Kikyou said to the other girls. The two left after saying their goodbyes. She waited for them to turn the corner before walking straight to Suikostu. Without saying a thing, the two already headed straight to the closest janitor’s closet.

---

“Maybe she’s not feeling so great. She’s probably home sick or something.” Miroku suggested.

“Maybe…” InuYasha sighed. “Let’s get out of here.” The trio got up and left the cafeteria. InuYasha was supposed to go out for lunch and going out for lunch is what he was going to do. They were just about to go into InuYasha’s car when Sango realized she forgot her bag in her locker. InuYasha growled angrily, “Hurry up and get it.” He jumped in his Lamborghini and turned on the ignition.

“I’ll go with you,” Miroku said and followed Sango into the school. InuYasha rolled his eyes and mumbled something about him being a lecher. He sunk down in his seat and waited for them.

Sango and Miroku hurried to her locker. As she did her combination, Miroku came up behind her and put his arms around her waist. Softly, he kissed her neck. Sango giggled quietly. “InuYasha’s waiting for us, you know.” She said, as he kissed her neck again. She grabbed her bag and turned to face him.

“Yeah, I know.” He kissed her soft lips. He pulled away and smiled, his bright sapphire eyes glistened.

“That means we have to hurry up so he doesn’t get mad,” she stated. Miroku sighed dreadfully.

“Fine. Let’s go.” He gave up and put his arm around her shoulders and they began to head back to InuYasha.

---

The janitors’ closet was dark. Kikyou and Suikostu were all over each other. He started on her jaw line, giving butterfly kisses all the way down to her chin, moving to her neck. Hearing light moans, he continued his actions, reaching Kikyou’s collarbone. Sucking lightly at the bone, he heard a slight gasp from her. He smirked to himself smugly. His hands roamed freely around her curvy body. He brought himself up back to her lips, slipping his tongue into her mouth. After a few more minutes, they broke apart, gasping for air. Suikostu started to get really into the moment. He pushed Kikyou against the side wall, accidentally knocking over a broom. It hit the door, making a loud thump.

“What was that?” Sango asked, looking around. She heard a thump.

“It was probably nothing,” Miroku said, shrugging it off. Sango pushed Miroku’s hand off of her shoulders. She heard it again.

“I think it’s coming from here,” she announced, walking towards the janitor’s closet. She turned the doorknob and opened the door. Sango gasped and took a step back.

Kikyou and Suikostu pulled away and quickly turned to see who opened the door. Kikyou’s eyes were wide open and Suikostu didn’t really seem to care. Kikyou pushed Suikostu away from her. “Oh, Sango…uhm, this isn’t what it looks like.” she lied right through her teeth. Sango’s eyes narrowed.

“Save it, whore.” Sango hissed, poison dripped from each word. Angrily, she stormed off. Miroku looked at the two and shook his head disappointingly and chased after Sango.

“What took you so long?” InuYasha growled as Sango and Miroku got into his car.

“My locker got jammed. It wouldn’t open.” Sango lied, fastening her seatbelt. She got the usual response from her frustrated friend, “feh.”

---

“Kagome, you’re going to miss your train!” A voice was heard from downstairs. It belonged to her mother. The ebony-haired girl hurried up, packing her clothes and prized possessions in her three large suitcases. She jumped on the last in attempt to close it. Quickly, she snapped it shut and took a deep breath.

“Coming!” she called out and grabbed her bags and headed downstairs. She struggled to carry all of them so her younger brother, Souta helped her. “Thanks,” she heaved, handing him a suitcase.

“You sure you have everything?” Kagome’s mother asked. Kagome nodded. Her mother hugged her tightly, practically squeezing the life out of her. Souta hugged her goodbye as well. Kagome’s soon-to-be step father stood in the doorway.

“Bye.” Raidon said. Kagome nodded in his direction as she struggled to hold her luggage.

“I’ll call you when I get there,” she said and went to walk out the door. She turned back, her mother was in the arms of Raidon and she looked like she was about to cry. Souta waved bye to her. Kagome simply smiled and walked out of the house. Her cab was there waiting for her.
