Chapter 1
I do not own Inuyasha.

Kagome checked out Inuyasha subtly. She had a craving for him. A deep longing. A fiery need. It was too bad she was terribly modest and shy when it came to admitting she wanted him. The idea that a proper girl would have the nerve to save, "I'm horny for you," wouldn't even allow itself to drift into her head. She was getting tired of it though. She was starting to feel out of place next to the saintly Sango, who was--aside from her warrior ways, even though it hardly seemed to make a difference (she even exterminated gracefully)--a true lady. Kagome wished her dirty thoughts would go away, and that her urges would just pass. She felt just like Miroku and wanted to express that, but she didn't have the nerve. Kagome sighed dreamily. How would it feel to touch Inuyasha? Or to be touched? She sank into her hentai fantasies, eyes glazing over. "Kagome? What the hell's the matter with you?" Kagome looked up dazedly at Inuyasha and blushed. "N-Nothing," she stuttered. Inuyasha sighed and offered her his hand, "C'mon get up, we've gotta keep moving." Kagome smiled weakly and brushed his hand aside. "I'll be there in a second...let me freshen up by the river. I'll be right back." She stumbled upwards and sprinted to the river clumsily. "Dammit, dammit, dammit!" she swore, splashing cold water on her hot face. If she had touched his hand he would have felt her heat and thought she had a fever. She imagined his reaction when she told him, "Oh, I'm this hot and flustered because I was having daydreams about you." Kagome sat down and sighed heavily. She gazed down at the river and rested her chin on her hands.

"Are you alright?" Inuyasha asked as he sat beside her. Kagome gulped and nodded. "I'm fine, just a little heated. It's umm..really sunny and hot today. I guess I just stayed in the sun too long." Lies, lies! She was babbling. Inuyasha grinned and leaned over. With a gleam in his eye he pinned her down. "Really? I think you're fibbing Kagome..." Kagome went into shock and squirmed, exclaiming, "I-I'm not lying!" Inuyasha licked his lips, "You know what liars get Kagome? Punishment. Do you want your punishment?" Kagome nodded vigorously, "Yes, I want it really bad, Inuyasha." He snuck a hand up her shirt and his lips--
"What is with you?!" Kagome reeled and twirled around. Inuyasha frowned down at her. Kagome scuttled backwards, "Ah, hi! Umm...I guess we're going now, huh? Okay, okay." She got up and took off like a bullet. Inuyasha scratched his head and wondered, "What's with her?" He followed after her, surprised by how fast she'd gotten over the past few weeks.

Shippo dozed in Sango's arms atop of Kirara and Miroku chatted with her quietly when Kagome bulldozed into him. She fell back and he stumbled to regain his balance. "Uh, I'm so sorry Miroku," she started. Miroku grinned and helped her up. "It's alright. Are you okay?" Kagome nodded and took his offered hand, just as Inuyasha walked back in. Kagome was smiling at Miroku easily and she rolled her eyes mockingly at Sango who teased her about her balance. She got along so well with everyone else. Why was she being so weird to him? Inuyasha bit back his ire and began walking.

Kagome noticed him and a light blush stung her cheeks. Her fantasies were getting worse and more frequent. Augh! She clenched her fists. What was wrong with her? They were friends! FRIENDS! Kagome leaned against Kirara's side and thought, 'Friends can bathe and sleep together. Bathe together....Sleep together...' She cupped a hand to her explosive nosebleed and pushed off of Kirara. Embarrassed she waved the others away and pulled out a napkin from her bag and cleaned it up. Inuyasha looked back and rushed to her side. "Kagome, are you alright?! What the hell happened?" He reached out a hand and she shrank away. "It's nothing," she replied thickly, still soaking the blood up. Inuyasha's face went blank. "Fine," he replied and strode away, taking the lead again. Kagome mentally groaned. Now he was mad at her for being stupid. She walked behind everyone, head drooping. When would she win?

Kagome's strange behavior had not gone unnoticed by everyone. Miroku had been noticing her erratic behavior and was curious as to it's cause. He watched her out of the corner of his eye as she shook her head vigorously and shoved the napkin back into her bag. A couple minutes later her eyes went unfocused and she sighed wistfully. He grinned, perhaps the answer was much more obvious than it seemed. He tapped Sango's thigh and said softly, "I'll go see what's up with Kagome." Sango smiled thankfully at him and nodded. Shippo curled more comfortably in her arms and yawned, still fast asleep.

Kagome felt someone tap her forehead. She dizzily looked up at Miroku. "Ah, hello Miroku. What's the matter?" Her last hentai scenario had included a little bondage and whip cream. She was still slightly out of it. Miroku smiled, "I came to ask you that very question, Kagome. Would you like to talk about it?" Kagome's mind took a second to register that. "Huh wha-? Talk about what?" Miroku choked back his bubbling laughter and replied, "I don't know. Maybe you could tell me. For example, what really caused you to have a nosebleed back there?" Kagome turned pink and mumbled, "Not right now Miroku. I-I need your advice though." He patted her back, "Alright, when we stop for a break, Me 'n you will go off and talk, okay?" Kagome nodded and Miroku walked ahead, back to Sango.

Kagome was beat, and Inuyasha sensed that but his anger refused to call a stop so Kagome could rest. Miroku glimpsed her stumble and huff a bit and realised she was done. He stopped, stabbed down his staff and sat where he was. Sango looked back at the exhausted Kagome and ordered Kirara to stop. Shippo rolled over in her arms and snuggled closer. Inuyasha turned and asked snidely, "Why are you all stopping?" Kagome looked at both Sango and Miroku and realised they had stopped for her. She shook her head almost invisibly and replied, "We're not." Exchanging glances, Sango and Miroku continued on.

Kagome fought off her yawns and drank water in her bag, which had shrunk considerably over the week. A visit home was necessary if she wanted to get the bare essentials again--and she had a test coming up. She recognized the layout and realised they were fairly close to Kaede's village and, more importantly, the well. She crept away slowly, no one really paying attention to her. Kagome fell down the well gratefully and happily climbed out, the shrine outlined by the setting sun. She sighed and practically skipped towards the house. She tripped over someone and unknowingly sealed her fate with Toriuka.
