Chapter three:
Miroku felt his spirit separate from his body, as it shot out of his chest into his finger tips and into Lady Kagome’s scalp and into her subconscious mind. He felt his body go limp and then he blacked out. He found himself in a very dark room everything was pitch black he slowly stood up looking all around him seeing only darkness, he started to get worried, he now knew he was in Kagome’s subconscious. But it being all filled with darkness wasn’t a good sign, he slowly sat down Indian style, unsure of what to do, he only had a limited amount of time, before her subconscious would start to force out his spirit possibly killing both of them. He heard it then, it was crying, of a woman, of a girl. Then he looked behind him and there was alight, light a spot light, and sitting in the middle of the circle of light was a little girl scrunched up, her knees to her chest and her head buried in them, he slowly stood and walked over tot he strange girl, what was she doing in Kagome’s subconscious? He kneeled down in front of her, she was wearing a simple kimono, of light blue and a priestess headdress, and a white obi, with golden trim outlining all of it. He lightly rested his hand on her shoulder, rubbing it smoothly. She peered up at him through tearfilled eyes and he gasped realizing who it was, it was the child version of Kagome. She was looked like when she was about seven when he father first started making her become a shrine priestess. That was when he met Kagome, his grandfather’s best friend, a priest was teaching him the priestly ways to become a priest, he had no objections, his father was a priest as was his grand father all the way back though the generations, that was just how it was in his family, and he wasn’t about to be the downfall of it. He found her one day hiding behind a giant statue of Apollo as the shrine elder priestess was furiously searching for her, she was crying, she said she hated the gods for making her do this and her father, he sat there with her until the priestess found them, a few hours later, then he took the blame, telling the priestess he was the one crying and she stopped to make him feel better. He got a whipping for this later, but her smile as the priestess dragged her out of the temple to go back to the castle that night made to all worth while.
“Kagome... why are you crying?” He asked as she stared up at him with slight fright and sadness in her eyes, tears still streaming down her face.
“H..how do y..you know m..my na..name?” She stuttered through the hiccups she got while crying.
“I’m a good friend of your’s, you just don’t know it yet.” He smiled at her and she smiled back wiping away her tears with her sleeve, also wiping away the priestess make-up they all put on their eyes, but it was already smeared about her tears.
“I...I c..can’t find m...my way...” She stuttered hiccuping still, but it was starting to calm now as she stopped crying. “I...need... t..to find my...lo...love.” She said, this confused Miroku, did she mean her father, her brother, maybe Sesshomaru, did her little form even know of Sesshomaru yet and if it did, did it still love him the way her older half did. “I...lo...lost him...whe...when the b...b...bad thing came a..after me.” She said as he helped her up as he stood back up himself, and took her hand in his, and started to walk in a random direction.
“Bad thing? What bad thing?” He asked, he was pretty sure this form of her knew about Sesshomaru now. And it still loved him as her older self did, it seemed like the older Kagome was morphed into her younger version.
“A big gray light shined and it hurt me, like needles everywhere, and took part of me, then started chasing meas I ran away from it. It wouldn’t leave me alone, and took the other me with it.” She peered up at him with innocent eyes. “She yelled for him when it took her, and I heard a deep voice, but he didn’t come... he didn’t come to save her.” She said as they walked the light followed them still shining down on them.
“Who?” Miroku asked a little confused still as he looked down as he walked to meet her small childish ice blues, they shone with innocence and fright still.
“Love, our love, she called for him, but he didn’t come. She talked about him all the time, he’s really strong as strong as a god and has gold eyes like the sunset, and she loves him so much and so do I. But he didn’t come, he didn’t save her from the bad thing like her promised, we heard him, but he didn’t come.” He knew for sure now that the little girl was talking about Lord Sesshomaru, but what he didn’t understand is about this ‘bad thing’.
“Kagome, do you think you can take me to the bad thing?” He asked stopping and turning to her kneeling down to her level. Her eyes widened with fright as tears welled up behind them.
“N...no it’ll... g...get me, she s..said stay a...away from it.”
“Yes, but I can’t save her if you don’t show me what it is and to do that you have to take me to it, I’ll protect you, no worries.”
“That’s what he said, but... he didn’t.”
“Who?”
“Sesshomaru....” She said slowly as tears silently started to fall down her soft reddened cheeks from crying.
“He couldn’t, he can’t come here, without help and he didn’t have any, he is so sorry he can’t help, but that’s why I am here to find out what the bad thing is so he can make it go away, and get the other you back.” He said soothingly as he rubbed her back.
“Promise?” She said wiping away her tears agin with her tears away again with her other sleeve.
“Absolutely.” He said with a smile as her wiped away a stray tear she missed with his thumb as he stood back up she sadly smiled at him
“Ok, but not too close it’ll take you away too and I don’t want to be alone.” She said shaking her finger at him like an adult making him chuckle as she started to lightly pull him in a different direction towards the bad thing.
A/N: I know really short chapter, but hey major writers block here, I am actually going back and reading not titled 1, I have never read it. I wrote it but never read it, I’ve read parts but not the whole thing and man I have a lot of spelling and typing errors! SO SORRY! I even do spell check, but am too lazy to go back and reread! Sorry and the next one will be out by next Sunday! As always, that’s pretty much how it’s gonna be from now on! Ok? Oky day! Ignore that, it’s what I’ve been saying for all of my life, I know so ignorantly stupid! Anyways! BYES!
