Summary: Rin is the perfect high school student. She is popular, smart, sexy, and charismatic…everything a man could want. She has one problem…how to seduce the man she's had her eye on…Sesshomaru, her senior year English teacher. Will she find a way to get him to notice her…or has he already?

Fantasy Ending (OF COURSE!!)

When Rin awoke she groaned out loud. "Uh! I'm so sore! Guess its Advil and water for today." She got up, much to the protesting of her inner muscles. Downing a few pills and some water Rin made her way towards her closet. Pulling out her uniform Rin dressed quickly, dreading the day's events.

As she walked down the street she saw her friends and tried to walk a little faster to catch up. "Whoa! You look like you're in pain. That time now?" her friend questioned innocently. Not wanting to explain Rin nodded. All at once they spotted Chris walking up ahead of them. Rin blanched upon remembering a certain lie she told her friends. "Hey there's Chris, better go congratulate him on you know what." Rin paled.

"No!" she paused and breathed out a deep breath. "OK. Here's what happened. Chris took me to the movies and that was about all that happened. I said that comment yesterday because…well. I'm dumb. Kind of a not so funny joke. I wanted to see how you guys would react if I ever said anything like that." Such a lie! They can see through it! I'm dead! Her friends looked a bit shocked at first and, to her utter amazement, they smiled. "What's so funny?"

"Nothing, it's just. We've kinda done it too. We didn't have the guts to say anything though. Like that time I said I made out with Tagga in the library…I actually kissed him on the cheek."

"And when I said I slept with Mikal after like a year. It was more like six months." Rin's mouth dropped. Wow! How much more are they gonna tell me before we get to school. Wait. Six months!!! I can't believe she kept that in for so long.

"Well, it's good to know that we can tell each other anything. So you're not mad?" her friends laughed slightly and shook their heads.

"Of course not. Friends tell each other everything, whether it's after the fact or not." They all smiled to one another (A/N: Yes I know DORKY way to cover up her lie and make things cool, but I hit writer's block on how to fix it otherwise. Don't shoot me!) My friends are so weird. But I'm glad they're my friends.They walked and talked all the way to school, and didn't notice when the bell rang for classes to begin. Running to their respective classes, they all thought about the morning's events.

~~~Sixth Period- Outside classroom door~~~

"Chris. Wait. We need to talk." Rin called as she walked up to him. He looked confused and nodded. "Look, I had fun the other night, but you're just a good friend to me. I don't think we should see each other as anything more ok?" he looked down; feeling very rejected, but then looked up at her with a glorious grin.

"Yeah. I was kinda going' to say the same thing. I'm moving back to Chicago anyway. So just friends right?" he said still grinning. Rin nodded and smiled back meekly in return. "Come on. We're going to be late to class." They both turned and walked into the class. Chris sat immediately and took out his book and homework, Rin, on the other hand, sought out Sesshomaru's gaze. She found him sitting behind his desk a very dark look on his face. She turned her head and sat down pulling out her homework and books. She bit lightly on her bottom lip trying to decide what the matter with Sesshomaru was. Deciding to ask him, she took out her pencil and wrote it on her homework.

What is the matter? Are you upset about something? Covering her paper with the other assignments passed to her she passed the stack up and connected her gaze with his.

How could she? I thought…who was I kidding? A Student and Teacher relationship should be just that, student and teacher, not lovers. It wouldn't have worked out anyway. Gritting his teeth he couldn't suppress the extreme hurt and sadness this thought evoked. Seeing that the homework was collected and sitting in a neat pile on the corner desk, Sesshomaru stood and walked over to the board writing down the next assignment they were to work on. "Turn your book to page three hundred and six. The assignment is on the board. You have all period and it must be complete." He said as he walked to the corner desk and collected the homework. Watching as his students did as were told he sat in his chair and skimmed through the papers in his hand. Seeing her paper and the comments she had written he pulled it out and studied her assignment. As he neared the bottom of the page he saw her delicate handwriting and the secret message scribbled down. `What is the matter? Are you upset about something?' breathing out a sarcastic breath. How could she not know…she's playing dumb. His eyes immediately shot to her and he almost did a double take. She was looking at him with a pained expression. Looking back down at the papers he put her paper off to the side and continued grading. Before he knew it he'd finished the grading and looked up at the clock. Only a few minutes left. Better ask for the papers. Standing he cleared his throat. "Ok, time to pack up. I'll be standing by the door, so give me your paper on your way out, or else it will be a zero." Rin stood and looked at her friends.

"Hey, I'm gonna be making up a quiz I missed. So don't wait up for me. I'll call you guys later ok?" her friends nodded and gathered their papers together.

"Are you sure? I don't remember you missing a quiz."

"Yeah, Yumi. It was a while ago. I just haven't been able to make it up lately." Rin exhaled as she saw her friend smile and nod. Placing herself at the very end of the line Rin waited until everyone else had cleared the room. "Sess-Sesshomaru?" she said in a questioning manner.

"Yes Miss Shakumori." He said flatly. Rin flinched at the coldness in his voice.

"What's the matter? Please, talk to me."

"Nothing is the matter? Did you finish the assignment?" Rin flinched and sucked in her lips. He hates me. It was all a mistake.

"Yes sir. I finished it." She said tears in her voice. Handing him her paper she walked back to her desk to grab her shoulder pack. "Are you always this cold…" she said as she walked up to him, "to the people who love you?" and with that she pushed the door open and ran down the hallway. I wont cry in front of him. She screamed to herself as she dashed down the hall. Not wanting to go home, to her empty house, she walked outside and sat in the bleachers by the softball fields. "Stop crying Rin. You're being stupid as usual." She rubbed overly hard at her eyes to wipe the tears away. "Just because you're with someone doesn't mean anything. I was probably just a…a fling or something. And besides, what could he ever see in me?" she heard a crunch behind her and jumped up, whirling around to face the intruder. Her breathing became shallow as she stared at him.

"A lot. I could and do see a lot in you." Sesshomaru said almost too softly. He walked up to her and noticed the few stray tears that lingered in her eyes and on her cheeks.

"Then why? Why are you so cold to me?" she whispered, trying to keep her tears and emotions at bay.

"I thought…never mind what I thought. I was being stupid, and jumping to conclusions." He flung his arms around her waist and buried his head in the crook of her neck. "I'm so sorry." He tightened his hold around her waist slightly. Feeling her close her arms around his shoulders, he relaxed his body.

"Don't do that to me. Sesshomaru, if something is wrong talk to me about it. Please, don't shut me out." She closed her eyes and felt the familiar tears slip down her cheeks. Sesshomaru reached up and wiped away the tears that were freely falling down her cheeks. Silently he placed his lips on hers, and enveloped her in a kiss so totally consuming she was powerless to do anything but feel and react. Silently the kiss ended and both of them held each other.

"I just saw you with him and, I got so mad. Jealous I guess. I just couldn't help it." He said as he squeezed her tightly against him.

"Who? Who would you be jealous of? You're the only one I want or need." She whispered into his hair.

"That new boy. Chris. I just, I don't know why, but the thought of losing you to someone else, hurts me very deeply." He felt his cheeks turn slightly red at his confession, but knew that it was good he told her. She deserves to know.

"Silly, silly man. I, was never really interested in Chris to begin with. I found someone else that took my heart long before I meet him." She smiled and sealed his lips hoping to relay her feelings to him since she couldn't bring herself to say the words just yet. Placing her hands on his shoulders she pushed lightly to draw away from him. Taking his hand and slinging her pack over her shoulder she walked side by side with him towards the classroom. now standing outside the door to his classroom Rin paused, hesitated.

"Are you ok?" he said as he put his arms around her waist.

"Yeah. I just I'm not sure if I can do this so soon. I woke up with some major pain." He gave her a light squeeze and released her.

"That's perfectly fine. Let me take you to get something to eat. K?" He smiled at her and grabbed his brief case and jacket. "Come on." He placed his hand over hers and smiled genially. I don't know how. But I'll make this work. I wont lose her, I promise this to both of us. Squeezing her hand, more to assure himself she was still with him, they began walking to his car.

A/N: Short, dumb and kind of a stupid ending, but I hit writers block on how to make it end…if anyone has any ideas…post em and I'll look them over. If I like them I'll update and change the story…(crediting the person who gives the new idea). Thanks for sticking with me even though it took me forever. I had highschool exams and lots of other life dramas…GOMEN NASAI and arigato gozaimasu for sticking with me. ^_^
