Well I feel drained of all energy; better do some relaxing chapter writing!

Miroku made his way into the hut and saw Sango, Shippou, Kirara and Keada all sitting around the fire and went to join them. They told him Roshi was out hunting and asked what it was that Kagome had wanted to talk to him about. He cleverly dogged that question by telling what had happened while he and Inuyasha were in the clearing, they had very worried for Kagome but he told them that he saw the dead miko retreating and believed that Inuyasha had gotten there just in time.

"Well I'll go get some water for cooking." Sang said as she stood up and stretched her arms and legs.

"I would love to help you Sango." Miroku stood up also with a hopeful glint in his eyes.

"Uh okay"

They walked out of the hut down to the river with some buckets and filled them with water, on they way back they pace was slow and Miroku was happy for that, he wanted to use Kagome's advice.

"Did you have to cook for family back your village Sango?"

"Most of the time yes"

"Did you help your mother?"

"My mother was killed in a battle with a demon, bit she was a wonderful women."

"I would love to hear about the women that brought you into this world for me, if you would like to tell me?"

Sango couldn't believe it, he was actually being nice and not perverted and wanted to hear about her mother. Sango turned to him with a small smile on her lips.

"Alright"

Kagome was holding tight to Inuyasha as he jumped swiftly and gracefully from branch to branch, she was still a little scared of him all her encounters with this side of her mate had not been good, but he seemed to be controlling himself fine.

They landed near a small creak and he sat her down near he water. He looked closely at the injury on her arm while she looked closely at him. He could smell fear coming from his mate and was confused, he got her away from the danger so why was she still scared? He looked at her in the eyes and felt pained at what he saw, she was scared of him. She shouldn't be scared of him he was her mate and would never hurt her, he needed her to relax so he could take care of her arm. He leaned over and licked her cheek and nuzzled his face into her neck taking in her sweet scent.

Kagome relaxed after that, she thought she was going to pass out from what he was doing, it was just too sweet, he was acting like a cute little puppy. But she jumped when she felt him rip the sleeve to her top off. She watched as he ripped it into strips and wet one, she flinch when the wet cloth came in contact with her torn skin.

Inuyasha saw her flinch and decided that water was not a good idea he threw the cloth away and began to lick her injury. Sense he was a dog-demon his saliva had great healing abilities. After he was down `cleaning' her wound he used more the strips to bandage it, she still seemed shaken by the fight earlier so he licked her cheek again pulled to him and nuzzled his mating mark on her neck.

Kagome was tired and he was so warm that she just melted into his arms while he nuzzled her neck, she knew she would be safe and hat he wouldn't hurt her he was her sweet puppy. Before she let sleep claim her she thought she heard him say something, but it was muffled because his face was still buried in her neck but it sounded like the `mine'.

Inuyasha laid her down and snuggled next to her and fell asleep with a possessive arm wrapped around his mate.

Lots of WAFF in this chapter but hey I'm sleepy, and it was cute! The next chapter will be more action packed promise! I'm going to go nap now.
