Kagura raced back to the village at top speed, all the while replaying her session with Naraku in her head.

Flashback

"Kagura! I am beyond disappointed in you. You have failed me too many times, can you not manage to find one girl?"

"I am sorry master Naraku, she seems to have vanished."

"You are lying Kagura, what are you hiding, and why do you smell of the humans that travel with Inuyasha?"

"I ran into them in my searches, they also seem to be looking for the girl."

"And why do you smell faintly of Inuyasha himself?"

"He was with them."

"Do not lie to me Kagura, you have betrayed me have you not?"

"No I-"

"You helped her escape from also, correct?"

"No!"

"And Roshi has been gone too long, I suspect he is helping you?"

"You cannot really believe this!?"

"I know it for a fact. Kanna! Come here."

Kanna walked into the room face as vacant as ever holding her mirror. She walked to stand next to Naraku facing Kagura.

"You see Kagura someone has placed a cloaking spell on the mirror, it will not show Kagome to me, do you know who could have done this?"

"No"

"But you see the interesting thing is whenever I look into the mirror to check up on you or Roshi it will work fine until you come into close rang of something or is it someone? Now my guess is that the mirror stops working because you are close to Kagome, do you have a theory?"

"I do not know why Kanna's mirror is doing this."

"And I have also seen Roshi with some people that look very familiar to me. One of them is a girl, she looks like Sango the demon huntress whose village I destroyed. The other is a young man, a monk that resembles Miroku, I cursed every male in his family line in have a wind void in their right hand starting with his grandfather."

"I-"

"Enough! You two have betrayed me and you will die for it!"

He whipped out a tactical at Kagura's shaking form, who looked up just in time to dodged it. She landed right next to the window and quickly pulled out her fan and used her cutting winds to destroy the wall, much like did when she attacked Naraku for the first for nearly getting her killed in her first battle with Inuyasha. Pulling the feather from her hair she took off in the direction of the village, just as she was disappearing she heard Naraku yelling to her.

"Tell the dog I'm coming, and will kill him and take the girl! You stand beside him,

you will die with him!"

End flashback

`They had better be ready for battle.'

Kagome woke up feeling warm and hungry, she could feel someone breathe on her neck and turned over to see her mate sleeping like a baby or a puppy in his case.

`I wonder if he's back to normal yet?'

She stroked his cheek with the back of her hand trying to wake him up.

"Inuyasha? Inuyasha wake up."

"Hhhmm?"

"Wake up"

"K-kagome?"

"Yes it's me, we need to get back to the village so wake up I'm hungry"

He looked at her with still drowsy eyes and she couldn't help but giggle.

"What's so funny?"

"You just look so sweet when you sleep"

"Whatever, come on I'm hungry too."

She got on his back bounded back to the village, listening as she told him what happened with Kikyou and why he changed. Kagome was happy to hear that he wouldn't harm her when transformed.

They arrived back at the hut everybody was eating Keada's famous stew and Inuyasha's stomach let out a huge rumble, everybody laughed and Kagome tried to hold back a snicker.

"What! Can't a guy be hungry?"

They sat down and Keada handed they both a bowl, Inuyasha slurped it down and Kagome just shook her head. They told them about fight when Miroku asked and everybody was surprised to hear that Kagome made Inuyasha spare Kikyou, and even more so that he didn't hurt her in his transformed state.

Inuyasha was on his third bowl of stew when Kagura burst in looking like she had just seen a ghost.

"Hey Kagura what's with you?" Roshi had never seen her this shaken.

"Naraku knows and he's coming."

"WHAT!!" They all yelled in unison

"Come and sit child, ye look a fright."

Kagura sat down and was handed a bowl of stew that she sipped down shakily. Inuyasha had stopped eating and placed his scowl on.

"What happened?"

"Naraku knows that Roshi and I betrayed him and he is coming to he get Kagome and kill the rest of you."

"How does he know?" Roshi was serious now, if Naraku was coming it was going to be big.

"When he was trying to watch you and I in Kanna's mirror the cloaking spell I placed on it to hide Kagome from him would make it stop working whenever we got close to her, he suspected that was the reason why."

"He thinks he's going to get Kagome huh?"

"Yes"

"Will I kill him before I let him take my mate!" Kagura looked up at this and turned a questioning look at Kagome.

Kagome blushed three shades of red and nervously scratched her head.

"Inuyasha and I mated."

"So that's why you smell so different."

Miroku drew her attention back to the topic at hand. "Kagura how long do you think it will be before Naraku strikes?"

"I do not know but he does have a large army, this will be hard."

"Feh, so lets train a little, we'll beat him."

"We all love your confidence Inuyasha" Sango didn't think this was the time to be so cocky.

"Will I faith in myself Sango, I'm sorry if you don't!"

"I never said-"

"That will do you two, we need to be more focused on training and getting ready for battle right now, not arguing with each other."

With Miroku's words in their heads they all went to sleep to ready themselves for a hard day of training tomorrow.
